Katastrophale Bedienung, sehr hohe Preise, Verständigungsprobleme. Eine kleine Currywurst mit sehr schlechten pommes 9 Euro. Lächerlich. Aber die andere zubereitete Menüs sahen auch nicht besser aus.

I have eaten either a sausage or a menu here several times. Nothing special tastes mediocre. But what happened to me yesterday was extraordinary. I wanted a bratwurst in a roll, after some difficulties the saleswoman understood, but didn't prepare my sausage, instead had someone take a photo with a camera. After half an hour she asked if my sausage was ready? Of course that wasn't why I left the place. At that moment the tenant came and started a huge argument. Of course I said what I thought about the store and that I would report the whole thing to the consumer advice center. Would advise everyone to avoid the restaurant, poor service, very expensive prices, bad food.

There after a business meeting. Super nice service (who then turned out to be the boss...). A mystery shopper would say: all customer requests were addressed to their complete satisfaction (and nice conversations were had at the same time)... Shop very clean and stylishly furnished, great food, great decoration, great location, great prices. Everything perfect. Gladly again!

Jill is amazing! Rarely have I seen such a great, open and friendly personality behind the counter in a snack bar. Picks up the guest immediately and gives great recommendations. Every restaurant should have a Jill!

World champion – a classic, fine snack bar! Patricia is a real original here with a lot of character (in the best way!). It's exactly the right place for currywurst lovers, and anyone who likes simple, delicious fries like from their childhood will also be happy here. I'll definitely come back. Keep it up!

Very friendly employee, currywurst and fries were very tasty

The lady was a bit confusing with what could be combined. I asked if I could have non vegan sausage with the soul fries and she told me it's not possible even though they had the sausages. Apart from that the food was awesome.

The curry sausage was great with the sauce. We were there shortly before closing time, but were still warmly welcomed and were able to eat something quickly. 👍🏻

I have tested many snack bars and the “Weltmeister” is the best choice for currywurst and fries in Cologne, with high quality. The sausage and fries taste simply delicious and super crunchy! The curry sauce is perfect. You can also order with extra hot powder. For vegans there is also vegan sausage here. I can only recommend it to everyone! 🍟🌭

Fries were OK. Currywurst soft and tasteless and far too spicy for children. If the cost of goods is 3 euros, then charging 10 euros for the savings menu is already exaggerated.

Unfortunately not really recommended. Currywurst from the ladle into the bowl, almost cold fries on top so that you can't see that there are only five pieces of sausage inside and then just slapped on without a word. The whole thing for 8 euros! If that's your specialty, then meal!

Despite the carnival, it's a disgrace to simply sell the overpriced fries (€5 with ketchup) cold. But there are enough drunks around that you can fool. NoGo!

Great food, great atmosphere. Generally just to feel good

Ordered fries and currywurst. The guy stupidly asked if we would like both on one plate. I didn't think anything of it and said yes. In the end I paid €9 for a really small portion. Really not recommended. For me it's definitely a rip off. In the photo you can see the empty bowl, as I said, both were in one bowl, not two.

We were in the store on January 30, 2024 around 8 p.m. and had ordered. The employee seemed a bit overwhelmed because there were a few orders in front of us, and she only seemed to understand half of the order. I noticed this and asked again if she had understood everything, and I saw that she had forgotten something, we had ordered pulled chicken with fries twice and once chicken takki and a small fries. When we paid we noticed that they were still there small fries were missing. We went home to eat. We were very disappointed, Potions were puny for €7.90 and my Chicken Takki was simply missing the chicken...it was just fries with sauce...to be honest...I really can't recommend this shop, we were very disappointed afterwards Bought something else from the Chinese because we were still so hungry

I bought from this store together with my son. I'm totally dissatisfied, I wanted to take it home, I didn't even get a bag. I left with product in hand. The employee was completely unprepared. My son wanted mayonnaise after ordering, and they said it wasn't possible now.

Pub and bar hopping around the students party area around Zulpicher Straße and Zulpicher Platz we decided to drop into Weltmeister Currywurst & Pommes ,been here before, always had a good time and so it proved on our latest visit. I love the look of this fast food restaurant, interior is light and airy, it's colourful, modern decor and furnishings and plenty of seating options spread throughout this place ,its a great place to unwind in. We were here late at night ,we ordered currywurst mit pommes ,service was lightning quick ,we grabbed a table were we chomped through our late night snacks which were absolutely delicious and set us up for a good few hours. We really enjoyed our meals here before we moved on and although our visit was only fleeting as on every other visit to here we had a great time. Weltmeister Currywust & Pommes is easy to locate just off Barbarossaplatz, a square and area teeming with pubs, bars, cafe's and restaurants. Opening hours are; Monday to Sunday, open from 11am. Well worth checking out if you're in the area.

In my opinion the best curry sauce ever.

I'm putting one star because I can't give 0. As soon as we got back, we went out straight away. Empty dining room, I understand why: the unpleasant waitress, she doesn't want to speak to us in English, 'only Dutch'. She remains looking at us unpleasantly. TO FLEE !!!!!!!

Verrassend veel vegan opties. Ik had heel simpel de vegan currywurst. Deze was echter erg spicy. Ik houdt zelf erg van heet eten, maar dit was meer de diabolo optie dan een standaard currywurst. Vriendelijke bediening, sixties inrichting.

Unfreundliche Frau und Essen viel zu scharf... Konsistenz gut

Absoluter Drecksladen. Bestellt. Bloß immer die Currywurst und Pommes einzeln!! Bekommt sonst jeweils die halbe Portion für den vollen Preis. Personal dazu noch komplett unfreundlich. Geht lieber gegenüber zum Subway. Da wird man für den selben Preis satt und es schmeckt!

Die Pommes schmecken wie früher beim Griechen sehr lecker. Gute Curry Soße und Majo. Es gibt nur eins zu bemängeln zu Salzig, die Mitarbeiter müssten öfter die Schale abwischen wo die Pommes gesalzen werden. Ich sage das immer und wird ohne Murren gemacht und eine Minute länger frittieren lassen, dann sind Pommes Perfekt.

Optimaler Ort um zur Konzertvorbereitung (Luxor) eine angenehme Grunflage zu schaffen! *cheerz*

die öffungszeiten sind die rettung wenn man spät hunger hat. der mitarbeiter ist wahrscheinlich der freundlichste, zuvorkommenste KING, der den barbarossaplatz je betreten hat.

Die Weltmeister-Currywurst mit Pommes frites hat mir sehr gut geschmeckt. Ich hatte Hunger wie ein Brummer und Durst, wie so eine Wurst. Kaum bestellt und zack, war schon das Essen vor mir. Mit sehr viel Freundlichkeit wurde ich charmant bedient. Auf dem Barhocker konnte ich bequem sitzen. Das war cool👍.

Great french fries but currywurst rather controversial…

Mit Riesen Hunger auf Currywurst mit Pommes geh ich um ca 2 Uhr morgens zu dem Laden. Online steht dass der Laden um 3 Uhr schließt. Ich geh rein und bekomm direkt gesagt dass nichts mehr gemacht wird. Unfassbar! Nicht empfehlenswert!!

Just ok , the wurst was burnt from one side and very overpriced

I went there on Karneval and they increased the price a little bit. 3.5€ for every item on the menu. So it costs 14€ for what I had on the photo.

Hier gibt's konsequent nur Currywurst und/oder Pommes. Da kann man nicht viel falsch machen und tatsächlich schmeckt es hier auch immer gleich gut. Ich gehöre nicht zu den Leuten, die Currywurst für einen besonderen Genuss halten. Manchmal esse ich sie aber gerne und dann bekommt man hier genau das, was man erwartet. Die Preise sind NICHT immer gleich, sondern bspw. Karneval höher. Daher schreibe ich dazu nichts.

Hier gibt es eine Mitarbeiterin , die Pommes gefühlt abwiegt. Sollten sich eine oder 2 Pommes mehr in der Schale befinden , werden diese wieder aus der Schale genommen . Eine große Pommes ist eine kleine und von einer kleinen möchte ich Garnicht erst sprechen . Heute 21.02 20 Uhr

Mit die beste Currywurst, die wir genießen durften. Sehr schmackhaft, super gefühlvoll gewürzte Sauce... Nicht zu viel, aber trotzdem immer noch gewürzt, sodass es auch eine Currywurst ist. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend, die Inhaber ebenfalls. Wir durften auch noch ein neues Gericht kosten, welches der Gaumenhammer gewesen ist, dafür vielen Dank. Wenn wir wieder in Köln sind, kommen wir definitiv zum Essen.

Leider ganz schlechte Qualität. Meine Bewertung bezieht sich auf den Standort Severinsstrasse. Der arme Mitarbeiter war bei 4 Gästen schon leicht gestresst, aber in Ordnung. Die Qualität der Wurst ist unterste Schublade und dann noch halbwegs schlecht angebraten. Die Currysauce geht garnicht unglaublich bitter. Die hätte man besser einkaufen können. Die Pommes waren in Ordnung bis auf das sie versalzen waren. Die Portionen zu klein fürs Geld. Ganz schlechte Preis Leistung. Es ist mir ein Rätsel wie man diese Currybuden anders einschätzen kann.

Einfach nur ein wahrer Genuss am Barbarossaplatz. Die Art und Weise wie unser Essen zubereitet wurde, war eine Odyssee. Auch der Service unglaublich. Einfach nur noch perfekt.

Leider muss ich sagen das ich nicht zufrieden war. Die Angestellte war sehr überfordert und hat bei nur 4 Kunden insgesamt sogar die Hälfte vergessen. Zudem war es auch nicht mein Geschmack, sorry.

Beschränkt auf's Wesentliche, das dafür aber in Bestform. Leckerste Currywurst von Köln. Bedienung war sehr nett.

Kurztrip nach Köln gemacht. Schnell noch etwas essen ab der ecke - lage ist natürlich top für so eine art von schnellem essen. Preis evtl. etwas hoher, aber sehr gute Currywurst mit freundlichem service. Gerne wieder :)
