I was at Schneider a while ago after the renovations. It's a shame the old restaurant wasn't open. The food was good. I had a flat soup, followed by the sirloin steak and a side salad. The food was really good, but the portion was a bit small for me. I'd be happy to come back.

Very dedicated service staff, a traditional dining room, and an outstanding selection of tasty Schneider wheat beers.

We stopped off at the beer garden for a bit and loved the ambiance. The seating is very pleasant, and the food and service are excellent. We'll definitely be back when we're in the area.

Understaffed service is OK, demands are OK, but aggressive, low-class behavior with throwing trays around and loud fussing—sorry, that's completely unacceptable. On top of that, the food is really poor, even a simple roast pork with artificial gravy from a packet with a fried crust—that's unfortunately going in the wrong direction...

We wanted to go to the beer garden today with a small group, but unfortunately, the waitress was very rude and hurried us away because only half the tables were being served. We left.

We "only" visited the beer garden. The food was delicious and the service was super friendly. The beer garden will definitely be our first choice on our next visit to Kelheim and we will definitely recommend it. 🍻👍

Unfortunately, the food wasn't that great. The oil used to fry the hash browns had a rather strong smell and was simply not fresh. The service was friendly, and everything was served quickly.

The service is very friendly and professional, even if you're just looking for a spontaneous, enjoyable evening as a group. The food is good and more than adequate value for money. It's highly recommended and always busy.

Typical Bavarian brewery with a beautiful beer garden

The building and rooms are traditionally Bavarian, creating a very cozy atmosphere and embodying the typical image of a Bavarian inn. The food, drinks, and service are second to none and fit the traditional ambiance. Here, you can enjoy good, home-style food, a great traditional experience, and a wonderful time.

This brewery has been known for its wheat beer since 1872. The building complex, located in the heart of town, boasts a 400-year history. From today's perspective, however, the beer garden is more important, as there is probably no other comparable one in Kehlheim's city center. The interior was apparently renovated recently and therefore exudes a pleasant coziness, not only due to the elaborate paintings. The central highlight is a large tiled stove, which was probably more important in the past than it is today. A fine selection of regional dishes is offered. We were very satisfied with our selection – two white sausages each – and the service was impeccable. However, a study of the reviews on two platforms suggests that the general quality may at least be inconsistent. Therefore, please consider the comments when making your decision. Unfortunately not. I had roast pork with bread dumplings. The meat was extremely flavorless and cooked dryly. Even the sauce didn't add any great flavor to the dish. All in all, it was a huge disappointment for me.

Good food, very friendly service, worth a visit!

I've been to the Weisses Bräuhaus a few times because the beer, especially the Hopfenweisse, is always a delight. This time, unfortunately, we were disappointed by the service. The waiters' expressions alone made it seem as if they weren't in the mood at all. When I asked a normal question about the food, the only response was a snide "Well, what do you think, for that price?" It's a shame, because the atmosphere and the beer are truly great.

We always enjoy coming to Kelheim and the Schneider Bräuhaus just as much. We've only ever sat in the beer garden and have been extremely satisfied every time. The food, service, and atmosphere are simply top-notch. Best regards from Main Spessart!

I had lemon chicken with hash browns and grilled vegetables. Unfortunately, the chicken wasn't crispy at all, and the skin was completely pale. The hash browns were frozen, and I didn't like it at all! The service was very friendly and the atmosphere was great!

It's a real shame what has become of my once favorite beer garden. It used to be a piece of home, a place full of tradition and warmth. Today, many things seem different: the food no longer tastes homemade, the atmosphere has diminished, and unfortunately, the service, especially the female staff, was very unfriendly. Another piece of Kehlheim that is being lost.

We were in Kehlheim by boat. The place wasn't particularly special, but then we discovered the brewery. It's a very nice beer garden, with a large beer selection and very friendly staff. It's the home of Schneider. Unfortunately, we didn't eat anything, but the food at the tables next to us looked very good.

For me, this is the highlight of a multi-day cycling trip through the Altmühl Valley, both culinary and beer-based. What makes this corner of the country a paradise. Here, you can truly feel the quality of life. A great restaurant, traditional yet modern, with a selection of beers and food – all of the same quality! Superb. And yet down-to-earth in every respect, including the price. My absolute recommendation!

A very nice restaurant and beer garden. We were there just to have a beer in the beautifully designed beer garden. One star deducted for the service. In beautiful weather, you'd naturally expect a busy beer garden. However, the only tense and stressful person was the waitress, who frequently shouted loudly across the beer garden: "It can all take a while, and if you don't have time, just go away." This did, however, lead to some pleasant conversations with our tablemates ;)

The beer garden is very beautiful, the summer hall, a painted vaulted hall, truly fantastic. The beers are all top-notch, and they serve Saures Lüngerl (sour lungs), our first time! But: The service staff are completely overwhelmed (perhaps understaffed), often ignoring guests, it takes a long time for someone to come for drinks, and waiting an hour for food when the beer garden isn't full is less than fantastic. And then the second meal (veal liver) is lukewarm (perhaps it had been sitting on the counter for 10 minutes before it was served), the onions are fried onions from a jar, and the salad was "drunken," meaning anything but fresh and crisp. The beer mugs with the cutlery in the middle of the table aren't refilled; we had five knives, not a single fork, and only one napkin. We had to serve ourselves at the next table; the service was inattentive. Therefore: despite the great atmosphere and the very good beer, there are still many annoyances that spoil the evening

We were in the beer garden of the Weisses Bräuhaus, and it was very pleasant. The beer garden was very nice; a small bridge at the back provided quick access to the beer garden. The courtyard where we sat was mostly shaded and very pretty thanks to the climbing roses and the small gaps in the outer wall. We had a view of a small stream with water lilies. Even though it was busy, the waiters made a point of coming to our tables several times to check if everything was okay. Despite the rush, the food arrived at our table fairly quickly and was very good. Definitely a very good choice for our day trip. It was very clean and well-maintained.

The beer garden is very nice, the service is very friendly, but the roast beef with onions is not recommended for the price. It tasted like twice-reheated cafeteria food. Far too dry, and they also skimped on the sauce. The hash browns and onions were lacking in love. Next time, I'll have a snack.

During our first Bavarian vacation, we discovered the Weisses Bräuhaus in Kelheim on a recommendation. We quickly experienced the true meaning of Bavarian hospitality. On hot days, with 32°C in the shade, the wheat beer was served quickly and well chilled. The drinks ranged from original to non-alcoholic to "Lovebier." A glance at the menu revealed a wide selection of typically Bavarian dishes. When we ordered with the help of the waiter (who translated), the food arrived very quickly. Everything was beautifully presented, piping hot, and incredibly delicious. The service was always very attentive, friendly, and pleasant. Even when it was very busy, they rocked the beer garden with the utmost bravado; we truly respect what the service and the kitchen do there. It was clear to us that this wouldn't be our only visit during our vacation. So we came back and tried more of the menu, and everything was flawless. Finally, thank you again for the great time with you, especially to Antonia and Franz from the regulars' table.

Five of us went to eat in the beer garden. The staff was friendly and the service was good. However, the food, in my opinion, was borderline. The liver spaetzle soup tasted like instant broth, the Wiener schnitzel was completely unseasoned inside and out (breading), the pork knuckle was extremely tough, and the onion roast (almost €25), although medium, was just as tough. The Swiss sausage salad was OK. Since the beer garden and the interior are really nice, we'll go there again, but certainly won't eat anything else. In contrast, the Weiße Bräuhaus in Munich-Tal is also highly recommended for food (incredibly good Kaiserschmarrn).

A completely perfect Sunday lunch, spontaneously arranged for four people in the incredibly cozy beer garden. A huge compliment to the service and the kitchen. I received the best gluten-free advice ever, with a wide selection and detailed, truly caring explanations from the staff. The chef is incredibly good and caters perfectly to gluten-related issues. He sometimes even offers gluten-free spaetzle, a personal highlight. We highly recommend this restaurant.

Waited 20 minutes without ordering drinks, then left again. The owners probably don't care, there are enough tourists. We were once thrilled. Today, there isn't even a recommendation for beer. A disgrace for a world-class brewery is incomprehensible. So, to respond to the run-of-the-mill standard answer: 1. It wasn't raining anymore. 2. They could have informed the guest that there would be no more service in the garden. 3. There were other guests sitting in the garden who were actually served. So please refrain from answers that make the guest feel completely ripped off. I come from the restaurant industry myself, and nothing justifies such behavior. M. Krauß

The ambiance inside is beautiful, with its painted ceilings. The beer garden outside also looks fantastic. The roast pork was truly delicious. 😋 We'd love to come back.

We had reserved seats online, but when we got there, we were told they hadn't read the reservation. Please remove this option from the menu altogether. Unfortunately, the food (onion roast beef) was only satisfactory. They don't offer medium rare—I had to chew on the meat for a long time. For that price, I expect a bit more. Otherwise, the beer garden is very nice, and the delicious beer (Schneider Weisse) is absolutely inviting.

Everything was great! We especially enjoyed the dishes that aren't available so often these days (beef liver, tongue).

The food wasn't good enough, the beer garden was very nice as always, you could have a beer and eat somewhere else...a shame, it used to be better.

Positive: The beer garden is truly beautiful, and the ambiance is inviting. Unfortunately, the service doesn't match the beautiful surroundings. We received rather unfriendly service, and the portions were relatively small. The food also felt like it hadn't been grilled, but rather came from a convection oven. This is disappointing for Bavarian cuisine – I expect more authenticity and freshness. If the concept and this style of preparation are a good fit for the owners, then so be it – but for me personally, it wasn't a complete experience.

We were there for lunch. The outside was very inviting, and the beer garden was also very nice and cozy. The waitress seemed extremely annoyed; while she was relatively "friendly" to us, she was gossiping about the other guests, which seemed extremely unprofessional. We waited a bit longer for the food (about 45 minutes). I had a roast pork for €12.90, which was absolutely reasonable in price and the portion was also perfectly fine. Unfortunately, the taste wasn't that great; my dumpling tasted of almost nothing, the meat was also relatively bland, and so was the sauce. I ended up having to add more salt to everything. All in all, the visit definitely left a lot to be desired; I wouldn't go back, especially given the many other good options in the area.

Absolutely disappointing – never again! We had made a table reservation for a family member's 80th birthday – a special occasion we had been looking forward to for a long time. We were all the more stunned when we received a call just 30 minutes before the event informing us that our reservation had simply been canceled. The reason: They offered us only a seat outside – in case of wind and bad weather – or we should find somewhere else. No genuine apology, no willingness to accommodate, no interest in finding a solution. For such an important day, this was not only a disaster from an organizational perspective, but also disappointing and disrespectful from a human perspective. This is definitely not how you treat guests – especially on such an occasion. Anyone expecting reliability, hospitality, and professionalism should look for another restaurant.

We visited Weisses Bräuhaus for lunch and had an absolutely fantastic experience. This place is not only a restaurant but also the oldest Weissbier brewery in Bavaria, with roots dating back to 1607, which adds an extra charm to the visit. We sat in the cozy beer garden, but I also peeked inside and was impressed by the stunning historical interior with its vaulted ceilings and authentic Bavarian atmosphere. The service was excellent – the staff, dressed in traditional costumes, were both professional and welcoming. The food was outstanding: the veal liver was probably the best I’ve ever had, perfectly cooked and full of flavor. The pork knuckle was just as impressive, with crispy skin and juicy, tender meat, while the chicken in lemon sauce was fresh and perfectly balanced. Weisses Bräuhaus combines unique history, authentic atmosphere, top-quality Bavarian cuisine, and its own famous Weissbier – a place I would wholeheartedly recommend to anyone visiting Kelheim.

I can't comment on the food, but I found the service to be quite poor and ableist (there were three of us and one person in a wheelchair) because no server made any effort to offer us a seat. We asked if there was room inside, and instead of giving us an answer, the server simply walked away.
