Very nice beer garden. Unfortunately, they gave us a menu and then forgot about us until there was no hot food left. Therefore, I can't rate it.

The home of the Schneider Weisse Brewery. Excellent service and very friendly staff, the food was excellent, and the beer was fantastic.

Reservations are recommended on holidays or busy days. However, the atmosphere is lovely and quaint, with friendly service. Unfortunately, it takes a while to be served. But the food and drinks make up for the wait.

The restaurant and the beer garden are very nice. When we were there, it was packed. So we thought the food would be good. Unfortunately, we were mistaken. That wasn't the case. We had grilled salmon fillet and roast pork. Unfortunately, the salmon fillet didn't have a grill. It looked more like it had been boiled. The vegetables (just peppers) were oily and mushy (like they had been cooked in oil). The potatoes were okay. But the "gravy" that the whole thing was served with was a mixture of oil and presumably the water the potatoes had been cooked in. It looked anything but appetizing. The roast pork was completely dry, and the packet of gravy that came with it didn't taste good either. We won't be coming again. If the quality stays this way, it certainly won't be as busy as it was yesterday.

Unfortunately, the new brewery is very disappointing. The wait times are endless, and the manager is arrogant, who doesn't even bother to take criticism seriously. The food tasted good, but only ready-made products with packaged sauce! Never again with these owners, unfortunately...

Very friendly service, great food and delicious beer.

Two of us ate there today and also had a drink. The staff were friendly enough. Our orders were served very quickly. The naturally cloudy wheat beer and the cappuccino were very good, and we also enjoyed the food. The portions could have been a bit larger, though. We'd be happy to come back.

We stumbled upon this beer garden while strolling through Kelheim... A very nice atmosphere, lovingly designed despite its size. The staff was very friendly and prompt... They always kept an eye on their guests' glasses, so you didn't have to wait too long... We'd love to come back sometime.

I had Sauerbraten. It was just a regular roast beef with a horrible gravy packet. Everything was prepared without love. I could list several more things. Please rethink your cooking. I know it's all about quantity, but a little more refinement is needed.

Drinks were brought incorrectly, cauliflower was good but a tiny portion for 14 euros, potato salad was ice cold and out of the bucket...

We recently visited the Schneider Weisse Bräuhaus in Kelheim, which we knew well from previous visits to Munich and actually appreciated very much. Unfortunately, the quality has declined significantly: The food was tough and disappointing in taste, and the service seemed overwhelmed and unattentive. When paying, we tried to politely give a brief feedback – unfortunately, we were met with complete incomprehension by the (presumably) manager. Her reaction was unfriendly, dismissive, and completely unacceptable. It's a shame that a long-time guest is treated this way. For us, it was probably our last visit.

Very disappointing visit – unfortunately, not a good start We had high expectations for the new restaurant, but were sadly disappointed across the board. The food arrived after an extremely long wait of one and a half hours – and it was cold, to boot. We had ordered a burger, cauliflower, and roast pork – nothing that should have taken that long. Unfortunately, the service was anything but friendly. Our legitimate complaint was met with annoyance and rudeness, instead of showing understanding or offering a solution. This is not how you treat guests who want to give the new restaurant a chance. Such poor customer service and such poor customer service are particularly disappointing for a newly opened business. We won't be coming back for the time being – unfortunately, that won't happen.

Quite disappointed with the food...the service is prompt and friendly. It's clean, and there's even a disabled restroom with a changing table. But that was unfortunately it: bucket-loaded potato salad...which is nicely presented on the menu as potato and cucumber salad...After the first mishap, the salad came back on my plate with cucumber slices. The braised tongue with supposed root vegetables consists of glass potatoes and a few carrot slices in the sauce 🤔...After returning it, the plate came back with a few celery shavings "picked" from a salad...perhaps these gentlemen should Google what root vegetables exactly are...and how to prepare braised food in the first place. ...I don't think there's anyone in the kitchen who knows anything about gastronomy...please eat your own food. We got two free apple spritzers for our complaints - thank you very much, but that unfortunately doesn't change anything about the rest...🙄

On a beautiful early summer day, we spontaneously decided to stop by the brewery for a drink. The beer garden wasn't crowded, but it took quite a while before we could place our order. Nice, quiet location on the edge of the old town, with room for improvement in service.

What a disappointment! We were really looking forward to a new restaurant in our area! It wasn't busy! The food was cold, the service was even better, but after a complaint, the manager/landlady came over and was very rude. Simply deceptive.

The new couple, who run the inn, bring a wonderful atmosphere to the place. The renovation was a great success and immediately invites you to linger when you enter the beer garden. I also haven't seen such a friendly, well-coordinated service team in a long time. You immediately notice their positive attitude and joy in their work. All I can say about the food is "Chapeau!" We were very satisfied with the quality and the portions. I'm not really a fan of cauliflower, but this one was amazing! It definitely has to be said!!!! There's also a small sandbox with sand toys and children's vehicles for the little ones among us, which makes for a great, longer stay for families with small children. Verdict: Top, top, top, and it can only get better! I'm already looking forward to my next visit :)

We went to the beer garden at 3:00 p.m. on Ascension Day. There were no hot meals. There was no ice cream for the kids, which was disappointing. A day later, I was told they only have one chef and couldn't offer us any space. The beer garden was almost empty. So they won't continue like this much longer, I guarantee it. We were very disappointed.

Super friendly service with really good food... let's keep it up, an asset to Kelheim. The ambiance in the hall was really lovely... unfortunately, we couldn't enjoy the beer garden due to the weather... we'll definitely be back. The new host couple is really super friendly.

Very nice place. Good beers. Five of us had dinner. A dry shank, three Scotti risottos, like mush. And finally they refused to pay by credit card, using the excuse of the new management.

Unfortunately, the sausage salad and the Obazde (traditional cheese) weren't good. The portions were also very small for the price.

The food was very tasty. The portions were quite manageable. There were only three beers on tap, out of 12. There's definitely room for improvement here. The service wasn't exactly on the ball either.

Food is of poor quality, everything takes a long time or is forgotten and outrageous prices

A lot has changed here since the renovation – both inside and in the beer garden, everything is extremely high-quality and elegant, but that's not reflected in the prices on the menu. Beer for under €4, roast pork for under €14 – you don't see that very often these days. The new team is highly motivated and passionate about it – all in all, a concept that definitely does justice to this venerable place – you should definitely try it!

Great first visit after reopening. You immediately notice the fresh wind and the great atmosphere. Prices completely okay. New attractive menu. 0.5L beer €3.80.

Very nice beer garden by a small stream. Of the 3 glasses, one felt clean on the outside. The second beer was a Radler>Was swapped. My food was hot and good. My table next door paid less because the food was too cold. Service was friendly. Toilet is very clean. Overall positive.

Today for Mother's Day, unfortunately a total disaster!! Went there at 11:45 a.m. and the beer garden wasn't even half full! Despite having a lot of staff, we had to put the tables together ourselves, which wasn't a problem! The waiter came quickly to order - but then it started! The drinks came quickly - although the non-alcoholic drinks weren't served to the fullest, the beer without foam and the non-alcoholic wheat had probably been there for a while - but ok! After 20-30 minutes the soups arrived, unfortunately cold and tasteless! The main courses then took 1.5 hours to arrive!!! We asked a few times what only lasts through-yes and shrugging of the shoulders was commented on! You couldn't order any more drinks! After 1 hour 45 minutes the food arrived! Everything lukewarm (how can that be) The onion roast was like the sole of a shoe and we all had the same sauce - no matter whether it was onion roast/sauerbraten or knuckle! The dumpling was out of the steamer - cold and inedible. The potato salad is clearly out of the bucket!! 2 meals didn't come at all, nothing could be done despite asking! Apparently we were annoyed because our table was completely ignored! At some point we decided to pay! If they had paid one, I would like to get the contact of the innkeepers - there was a very nice man at the counter - he was probably the boss! He then came to the table and apologized and said at first we didn't need to pay - but we already did in that time. Then he pointed to a lady (who was the most bored of all) and said she was the boss and we should talk to her! Unfortunately she was aggressive towards us and said something like that could happen!! When I told her that I don't normally pay for something like that, she glared at me and said "and now you want to leave without paying"!! I replied that we had already paid, then she said we should finally go!! I have NEVER experienced anything like this! And instead of stopping for guests, you continued to take in guests!! All the tables around us either left at some point or only received half of the cold food!! This behavior is not acceptable!! Unfriendly and rude!!! Never again!!

Today for the first time a 1 star rating. Mother's Day was planned with a boat trip and dinner afterwards. Unfortunately, everything turned out differently. Danube level too low, no boat trips. I thought about it for a moment because I was very hungry. Since we were already in Kelheim we went to the Weißes Bräuhaus Kelheim. When we arrived in the beer garden, which was half empty despite Mother's Day, we found a nice spot. Drinks were picked up and brought quickly. Then the drama began. We ordered: salmon, roast pork, pork knuckle, 2x burgers and sauerbraten. 3 soups as a starter. Time 11:58 a.m. (why so specific? We all had to laugh because it was like being at work in the direction of the canteen) Then the time passed: 1/2 hour, 1 hour, 1 1/2 hours etc. At around 1:30 p.m. we took the liberty of asking. The answer was: everyone ordered at the same time (funny when we arrived half the garden was empty) At some point it was 2:00 p.m. and we were actually about to leave. What the surrounding table cleverly made into piles. The first meals arrived at around 2:15 p.m. Ice cold, bread dumplings so hard you could use them as golf balls and fun with the same sauce for every dish (Sauerbraten) Well, what can you say, hunger drives it in. In the meantime it was 2:30 p.m. and there were still 2 burgers missing. Despite repeated requests, they didn't arrive. Resigned, we wanted to pay and finally leave because two family members were really hungry. When we asked who was in charge, a young lady came and told us flippantly that we had complained so we could finally leave. We have never been treated so poorly and unfriendly in a restaurant. I only felt sorry for my parents, who would also have been looking forward to a nice trip. But what the heck, everyone should form their own opinion.

I was at the opening at the beginning of May after the redesign and I have to say that something has really happened. The small hall and the beer garden have been completely refurnished. The new furniture creates a traditional and cozy atmosphere that invites you to linger. The menu remains classic Bavarian. The portions are generous and the food came to the table quickly and friendly. The price of beer is a positive surprise, as it has been reduced compared to last year. The mood was good and you could tell that the new team was motivated to give the brewery momentum again. For me, it's a successful new start that makes the Weiße Brauhaus a reliable place to go in Kelheim again.

Today, May 10, 2025, the Weisses Bräuhaus was officially reopened. We took part in the opening ceremony in the bright sunshine in the beer garden of the Weisses Bräuhaus. For dinner we had grilled salmon fillet with roasted potatoes and grilled vegetables and a Viennese veal schnitzel with roasted potatoes and cranberries. Of course, a Schneider Weisse was a must for this meal. The tasty, tangy and full-bodied wheat beer is a must at Schneider Bräu. Overall, the food was very tasty and deliciously prepared. In addition, this very nice day was complemented by very friendly and appreciative waitresses who were not only in a good mood, but also conveyed a very special feeling of hospitality.

The most beautiful beer garden in Kelheim. Delicious food and freshly brewed beers under the shady trees - that's just great and we always enjoy coming back here. After the change of tenant, we weren't sure whether the beer garden would be open today. The surprise was all the better when we were able to experience the first day of the reopening today. We are thrilled. Beautiful new wooden tables and wooden benches, a very good and motivated team and a menu with many well-known and some new offers. And everything is very inexpensive! Perfect.

We have been fans of Schneider Weisse for a few years. I first came into contact with the delicious beer in Munich. We then researched the origins of the brewery and then treated ourselves to a visit to the main building. By far the most delicious roast pork eaten and a dream of beer (Schneider Hell and Hopfenweisse) with it.... Wonderful and completely happy; )

Quaint restaurant with friendly service. However, the prices are high, so we only ate soup and drank a beer. But the food also looked very good. There is a lovely beer garden which was closed due to the weather.

Got the wrong food and it was clear that the server didn't understand English and didn't think that pointing to the menu was a good solution. The food is below average, I would say. When they told me at the end of the evening that they don't take cards (which hasn't happened in 2 weeks of traveling in Germany, Italy and Austria so far), I got a little tired.

Quite ok but nothing special. Food is good, beer garden is nice and service is acceptable but friendly. I found it strange that we had empty glasses on the table and I asked one of the ladies delivering to please tell the lady taking the order to stop by... She wasn't allowed to do that but she came by regularly, so we had to wait another ten minutes. Apparently the staff don't talk to each other. By the way, the beer garden was almost empty.

The inn is actually nice. However, my passion was not great culinary art. It wasn't seasoned properly and had no seasoning. It tasted as if the Lüngerl had simply been warmed up by the butcher.

Although the garden's design is technically like slaughtering and eating a sow with the King of Kelheim, the quality and friendliness of the ladies, who are a little too blessed with hip gold for my taste, leave something to be desired. All in all, you can say you can go there because of the nice ambience, but you shouldn't order anything because the food and the sight of the well-fed ladies in dirndls is not for the faint of heart.

Unfortunately I can't give a review of the food because it never came to that. Our visit failed because of the reserved tables. We wanted to order a table for four in the beer garden by phone at lunchtime and were told that this wasn't necessary. When we arrived in the evening there was a reserved sign on almost all tables. When we asked the waitress we were told that only tables for 6 people were reserved, even though the signs were on tables for 4 people 🙄 another employee then got cheeky She said we shouldn't explain to them how to run their shop 🤔Absolute lack of understanding and zero interest in having the problem explained to them! In response to this reaction, we left the location and had a nice and tasty meal somewhere else!!!

We had a family celebration in the beer garden Reserved in the afternoon. Since we were 30 minutes early, we politely asked if we could take a seat. The beer garden was 1/3 full. We have never experienced such unfriendly and annoyed service. The reserved “unoccupied” table would not be possible for now. So far ok. But take a seat up front (sunny at 30 degrees). “But snappy” decision please. Ok...then we'll come back at the agreed time. Answer: “I'll assign tables and then we'll take a look!!” We and the “potential” guests who followed us were happy to forego such a catastrophic reception. Another waitress apologized for her colleague's behavior. Ms. Braun: as a person, as a server, as a manager and, in my opinion, as a managing director, you completely failed that afternoon! We often and happily visit catering establishments - their basic behavior does not justify a workplace with further human contact. We then had a wonderful afternoon/evening in another location. Supplement v. 09/09/2024: Why didn't the content of your answer surprise us in the least? I had neither reserved the table nor did I want to celebrate my 70th birthday with you that day. The content of my contribution was written by ALL guests (excluding children). Incidentally, all people were raised from birth to never feel like they were the center of attention in any social situation. And yes, the reservation was changed again over the phone - I have no idea what was so bad about it (days in advance). Especially since this was also confirmed by you. Only their lack of social skills were assessed. They were very rude, disrespectful and snippy during the approximately 10 minute encounter. Guests also have complete understanding for a “robust demeanor”, ​​a bad day (cannot be judged) or even stress (clearly not at this point). With you, dear Ms. Braun, we were simply at a loss for words at that moment. We wish you all the best for the rest of your life - really! P.S.: The brewery has been happy to supply our club with drinks for years and as a board member I continue to enjoy them very much. But it still has no connection to this review.

Beautifully located and quiet beer garden in the back yard. Large selection of in-house beers. We've been here twice and still haven't been able to try all the beers.

The Schneider Weisse brewery, great beer garden, very good food, attentive service and even better beer, what more could you want.

Once again we stopped by the Bräuhaus with our bikes. As always, it was very full of guests, but the service still came quite quickly. Our food doesn't take long to get from the kitchen to our table. We had different main courses. Everything was good, nothing earth-shattering, but it was fine for us! The Obatzda was beautifully prepared and was also well seasoned. Price-performance ratio in the normal range!

The atmosphere is very pleasant. The interior of the restaurant is very well maintained in an old style. It's fun to eat and drink a beer here. We'd love to come back.

Nice dining room and the beer garden also looked very good, unfortunately the weather wasn't right for it. The service was great and the roast pork was the best I've had in a long time. Gladly again!

Very courteous staff, pleasant atmosphere in the beer garden. My personal highlight is the dark Carmelite monastery! This alone is worth a visit!

Always nice there and delicious beer. On Sunday we had visitors because they loved the beer garden and the food. Unfortunately, the portions are just getting smaller and smaller in the past...it's a shame!!

Typically Bavarian brewery with impressive guest rooms and an idyllic beer garden. Delicious beers and friendly, motivated waitresses. Unfortunately, the staff is completely overloaded when there are more guests. The cuisine also seems to me to be of a very poor standard, with relatively high prices. We had dry cheese spaetzle (actually knöpfle) with chewy and cold fried onions. The side salad was shiny with wilted and limp lettuce leaves. A thick radicchio stalk was awesome 👎! We recommend the brewery because of its originality and the beautiful ambience. You can eat better elsewhere.

We used to often go to Kelheim with our children in the motorhome and then always at least once to the White Brauhaus. After the last negative reviews, we considered going to another restaurant. Luckily we didn't do that: Beer: great! Food: great! Atmosphere: awesome. In contrast to other restaurants in Kelheim, the waitresses were very friendly, nice and quick and contributed greatly to the extremely positive atmosphere. We'll definitely be back 👍

Nice beer garden with nice service. For children there is a small climbing frame with a slide and an art room.
