Very warm and friendly host, great view from the roof terrace of the Rhine, castle and vines, beautiful Rhine garden, good restaurant - we have been there several times and would love to come back.

View fantastic. Spontaneity great. Service was sufficient - we would have liked to have had something to drink as an aperitif after the champagne, but unfortunately we no longer had any service to take care of us. One order and one delivery of drinks and food is called service? I also know fried potatoes differently - I wouldn't call potatoes that have been cooked briefly in the pan fried potatoes - the rest of Germany understands it differently!

I can't say anything about the rooms as we only had excellent food. It's a shame that there was no space available on the terrace. Next time we'll make a reservation.

Delicious schnitzel, delicious sauce and nice wine. When the weather is nice, be sure to sit on the terrace because the view of the Rhine is “romantic” in the truest sense. The fries and the salad get the rating “Okay” - there is still room for improvement.

Three stars for location and view of the Rhine. The food is mediocre, but the prices are quite high. The service is neutral and has little interest in the guest. From 9 p.m. onwards it gets uncomfortable because everyone cleans up and you aren't offered anything anymore. Coffee machine is cleaned very early, so there is no more coffee etc.

We also ate here as guests of the guesthouse. Despite the spontaneity, we were able to get a very nice spot on the terrace with a view of the Rhine. The service was very friendly and despite the many guests, the waiting times were reasonable. The food and the wine recommended to us were very tasty and the prices were absolutely reasonable. The apartment was very lovingly furnished and the kitchen was well equipped. Only a few small things could be repaired that are already a bit "worn out", such as the terrace or a few corners in the kitchen (see photos). The bed was also a bit too hard for us, although we didn't move into the large double bed but into the smaller bedroom. Overall, a nice, quiet place where we felt comfortable.

never again, misersble, the food like in a fast food restaurant, e.g. fried potatoes from the deep fryer, everything else Tourist fodder. A pity...

We were in the restaurant and sat on the terrace. It was absolutely packed and very touristy. The service was somewhat okay. My wife's meal with the green sauce and eggs was just OK. My pie with veal, asparagus and other vegetables was covered in parmesan cheese. It's unbelievable how you can mess up a dish like this. Because of my dislike for the parmesan that wasn't on the menu, I returned the dish I ordered and a new one was brought to me. The paste was lukewarm, the meat was somewhat edible, the mushrooms were inedible and the sauce was a unique water broth…… I complained and after a short apology I received a glass of wine on the house. Conclusion: Once and never again!!!!!

Beautiful, large, partly covered terrace with a fantastic view. In a rain shower you can sit there protected.

Two stars because of the beautiful terrace and the wonderful view of the Rhine. Recommended for enjoying wine. Better not to eat it - Jägerschnitzel is a complete disaster. I'm at a loss for words about the sauce, maybe. Rookie mistake? No delicious schnitzel fried in the pan - poor pig. "Fried potatoes"? more like potato pieces from the deep fryer. Side salad - not worth mentioning. But reasonable prices for the Rheingau - unbelievable. As long as the chef who “worked” there on July 7, 2024 is still active, it is better to avoid the location and go directly to the garden in front. PS: There were three of us there. My girlfriend had a strange feeling in her stomach while eating, my friend threw up afterwards and I also had to struggle with my stomach. Everything was very, very questionable, and the food came very, very quickly.

We were there for lunch, it was pretty busy because of the champagne festival. We ordered drinks, food and starters, the drinks and starters came quickly, unfortunately I was quite disappointed with the foccacia, for a price of 7.50 there were only two small slices of toasted bread with a mini jug of olive oil and coarse salt Price is outrageous. The rest of the food was good but not great, my sister's burger was raw and went back. The waiting time for the food was extremely long - we had to wait 1 1/2 hours for the main course. The drinks were good, the grape spritzer was very tasty. The view is fantastic if you have a seat on the terrace, but unfortunately this doesn't make up for the long waiting time and the expensive prices. It was nice, but it doesn't have to happen again.

We were in the restaurant. The location is just great. If you sit on the terrace you have a beautiful view of the Rhine. We were very satisfied with the food. My roast beef would have something of its own Taste tolerated, otherwise everything was good. When it came to the brawn, the fried potatoes were quite salty, please complain straight away. This applies to all German restaurants because German restaurateurs have a hard time making nice gestures. As in many restaurants, the prices have already increased but ok. The service is good but by no means intrusive. Really recommended.

Green sauce and fried potatoes were a disaster in terms of taste. I've eaten better in various canteens. Foccacia as a starter was 2 small toasted, naked slices of white bread, served with olive oil and coarse salt. For €7.50! Really cheeky!

Very friendly staff, the food was delicious, as was the wine. The location with a view of the Rhine is unbeatable. The only thing we would have liked was some bread with olives etc. as an aperitif.

The Rheinberg apartment we rented in the “Yellow House” in Eltville is very well equipped, centrally located in Eltville with a large roof terrace and a wonderful view of the Rhine. The gastronomy in the Yellow House is excellent, as is the service. You can also relax excellently in the “Rhine Garden” of the Yellow House.

Food was amazing. All four people in our party had different dishes and each was amazing. Portions were generous. Wine selections delicious. Average wait for food but everything was hot, fresh and served together. Would definitely come back and recommend !

Beautiful outdoor terrace with stunning views over the river Rhein and the beautiful city of Eltville- between the vineyards. There is big sandbox/playground with lot of toys for children which makes this place very child-friendly.

We can recommend the yellow house because of the location, the friendly treatment and the good food. The interior of the wine bar is Just rustic, dark oak, but still cozy.

Gourmet week, yes there is a lot going on! However, I expect a clear head and professionalism. Unfortunately, this is no longer the case. We waited 1/2 hour, tables were free, but the boss probably needed a break! That was too much impudence and we left. Guests who had just left the restaurant before us expressed their dissatisfaction with the food. The problem is that if you don't hire German-speaking staff, you'll spend most of your time translating and checking invoices instead of taking care of your guests! When I read the last reviews here, we are now happy to have had a delicious meal in a nice restaurant!!

Service on May 1st (with gray hair) totally annoyed and unfriendly, no recommendation. You don't have to be so annoyed when serving the guests. Please and thank you seem to be foreign words.

Were there today, May 1st, with a reservation on the terrace. Nice location, good view, and our food; Asparagus with schnitzel, sausage salad and fried potatoes, as well as various starters, all with good taste. Drinks only got there after about 40 minutes, and the food got almost an hour later. That's not possible, there were only 3 waitresses there and it was important to them to keep adding people instead of saying it was just full. It's a shame, but we won't do that to ourselves anymore.

The service is pleasing, the food is manageable and balanced, the location is suitable... then on Mondays, what more could you want

Such a surprisingly impressive evening in the Eltville wine restaurant “Gelbes Haus”! Host Alexander Klamberg had the panoramic terrace at a comfortable temperature and all guests were able to enjoy the colorful rainbow over the Rhine and Burgcrass and fine wines and sparkling wine in peace on this evening of enjoyment. Skillfully preparing the three-course menu with an asparagus main course. The kitchen team routinely managed to bring perfectly cooked asparagus with Bernese sauce, new potatoes and beef fillet cooked individually to the guests' wishes on preheated plates to the table for all 70 guests. The sparkling start from the VDP Weingut Jakob Jung with a 2020 Pinot Noir Rose immediately revealed the promised creaminess and was elegantly colored in the glass: 26 months in the depot made it almost hard to believe that this bouquet came from a brut sparkling wine. Alexander Jung had selected wines for each course on the menu for the evening, all of which went perfectly: 2022 Riesling Charter with the salmon tartare with avocado, 2020 Pinot Noir from Erbacher Steinmorgen for the main course and an Erbacher Michelmark Spätlese from the same year for dessert. The wines from Georg Rumpf from Münster Samsheim were exciting for the guests. The VDP winery contributed a 2022 Pinot Blanc as a starter with some mellowness from the wooden barrel aging. The main course was paired with the noble Großes Gewächs, a 2018 Münsterer Pitterberg Riesling GG grown on slate. The 2016 Münsterer Pitterberg Riesling Spätlese for desert fulfilled everyone's wish for a mature, full-bodied Riesling wine that easily set an accent. The evening was perfect especially because the service was attentive and perfect. And anyone who wanted a refill of the wine was not disappointed. The bottles were not empty and people were politely asked if they could add another sip. Thanks to all the actors who took part in this successful premiere: a continuation is more than desirable!

We received a very friendly welcome, the apartment with a view of the Rhine is very comfortable and well maintained and we also really liked the food, we had a great week in the "Yellow House".

After registering in advance, we (8) celebrated an 85th birthday. We were assigned a nice table - view of the Rhine included! Unfortunately, the order of an individual starter agreed upon by the host during the “test meal” with the waitress was not taken into account! In our opinion, she was simply “forgotten”! Unfortunately, not all guests were satisfied with the quality of the food they ate!! The evaluation is based on this!

The view is unique, unfortunately you couldn't help but get the impression that these were essentially convenience products. The food just wasn't worth the price. I regret that I cannot recommend the restaurant.

Uriges Restaurant, gutes Essen, sehr netter Service. Im Sommer sogar Außenplätze.

Wir waren als Gruppe dort. Die Räumlichkeiten waren recht knapp beheizt und kühl. Wir konnten dann in einem kleinen Nebenraum sitzen, wo es nicht ganz so kühl war. Weine: Waren gut. Essen: Ich hatte Hirschbraten mit Rotkohl und Schupfnudeln. Das Fleisch war gut, aber für meinen Bedarf zu viel. Ob die Soße von diesem Braten stammte, erschien mir zweifelhaft. Der Rotkohl war eine verkochte breiige Masse, das war nix. Die Schupfnudeln waren gut, aber sicherlich Convenience-Ware.

Das Essen war sensationell super! War mit 2 Freunden aus dem Norden hier und alle waren total begeistert! Ich kann nur sagen - weiter so! Die Gans mit den Zutaten war der Knaller und echt günstig! Schöne und frisch renovierte Ferienwohnungen über einem gemütlichen Weinlokal. Die Wohnung ist gut ausgestattet, der Preis ok. Im Restaurant schmeckt es sehr gut, egal ob mit oder ohne Fleisch. Dazu gibt es eine Auswahl an guten Weinen. Lediglich den Brenner für den Verdauungsschnaps sollte man bei Gelegenheit auswechseln...

Leckere Speisen und gut gefüllte Teller treffen auf einen aufmerksamen Service. Die Einrichtung ist drinnen eher klassisch, draußen eher modern. Zur kalten Jahreszeit wärmen Heinz-Strahler. In unmittelbarer Nähe zur kurfürstlichen Burg und dem Rhein dahinter.

Da wir nur zum Essen da gewesen sind,kann ich natürlich nichts über die Zimmer sagen aber das Essen selber,die schönen und warmen Räumlichkeiten und der Service,sprich,die Bedienungen waren super freundlich und zuvorkommend! Wenn wir mal wieder in der Gegend sind,werden wir mit Sicherheit auch wieder einkehren! Das "Gelbe Haus"ist wirklich sehr zu empfehlen!👍👍👍

Wir waren zum Essen dort und haben auf der Terrasse mit Blick zum Rhein gesessen. Es gibt einen offenen und einen überdachten Bereich. Das Wiener Schnitzel mit Kartoffelspalten war nicht schlecht, aber auch keine Offenbarung. Eher routiniert gemacht.

Wenn man einen ruhigen Ort in Eltville sucht, ist man im Garten des gelben Hauses richtig. Versteckt im Grünen sieht man den Rhein durch die Bäume scheinen. Getränke und kleine Speisen gibt's als Selbstbedienung. Alles sehr entspannt. Preis ok.
