Weihnachtsmarkt in Dülmen

The "Dülmen winter" is full of many events. The large ice rink alone, which can be used in any weather, is worth a visit for ice skaters young and old. Thanks to the tent roof with the transparent side walls, you can also see the action from the edge of the Follow the ice rink well. The atmosphere on the ice rink is well worth seeing, for example during curling, with music and presenters. A little further on, you can watch the action on the ice rink under a large glass roof, regardless of the weather on a large screen next to the “Dülmen Marketing” mulled wine stand. There is also a small Christmas market on the church forecourt for a short time. The light decoration on a tree in front of the church and the light depiction of wild horses create a great Christmas atmosphere. The highlight of the Christmas market is the large "toboggan hut" right next to the ice rink, over 2 floors and a large outside balcony (1 floor) and outside terrace (ground floor). You simply have to experience the rustic wooden hut of this size. Evenings and weekends are usually very well attended, sometimes with a DJ and current and well-known hits, a great atmosphere on the lower floor. A table (up to about 10 people) for the upper floor often has to be reserved well in advance with a bit of luck The demand is very high and the tables are quickly booked up. There are several huts around the ice rink where you can get mulled wine, bratwurst, fries, potato pancakes, etc. Opposite the toboggan hut there is another large mulled wine stand at "Lutz" with several outside tables and also tables inside the stand, everything is very comfortable. People know each other here, meet nice people, come by, have a look.

Unnecessary...and completely excessive for our city...less is clearly more...

A fairly small Christmas market in the Dülmen shopping district. The food there is generally tasty. Good but of course it's quite expensive as is typical for Christmas markets. The ambience was okay, but not outstanding either. I expected a little more here.

It's tight around the railway and toboggan hut and you can see a lot of rubbish and broken glass, it is better in front of the church and under the glass roof of the operation!
