I was really looking forward to my roast goose for St. Martin's Day. But: Two hard dumplings A small, oddly shaped baked apple, probably a pre-made product A small, dry breast with no crispy skin and a very sour, overcooked red cabbage was not what I was expecting. The Calvados sauce was also inappropriate. My partner had the farmer's schnitzel. The fried egg almost completely covered the schnitzel. The fried potatoes were just okay (oily and not crispy). The vegetables consisted of Brussels sprouts, kohlrabi, and peas—all frozen. Let's just say: It wasn't even good enough for cafeteria food. So I won't be going back there. What a shame.

We were thrilled with the Advent buffet. There was something for everyone – vegetarian, game, fish, poultry, salads, soups, and dessert – the quality of the food was superb, and the taste was fantastic. €49 per person. The staff was friendly and attentive; reservations are a must! We'll be back next year! 😉

A restaurant just as you'd want it to be. A truly exemplary establishment, straight out of a storybook. Diverse rooms with a stylish and well-maintained ambiance. An equally beautiful, well-kept, and spacious outdoor area with a children's playground, a fallow deer enclosure, and donkeys. Very attentive, friendly, and professional service and delicious food. Plus, homemade cakes and pastries. My absolute recommendation.

Birthday party with almost 40 people. Excellent planning beforehand; everything ran smoothly. My guests were delighted, also with the location and surroundings. The selected menu (lunch and coffee/cake) was very good and perfectly presented. The exceptional service of our assigned server deserves special mention. Thank you for a perfect day.

A very nice restaurant with friendly staff

A traditional restaurant with a lovely Münsterland ambiance and a large outdoor area. The menu was promising, the food was very well prepared and fresh. The price was reasonable.

Great food, high-quality ambiance, although very large; buses are possible, but service is quick and very attentive. Excellent value for money.

We received a very warm and friendly welcome, and we loved the atmosphere. The service was excellent. We had a lovely evening with delicious soup as a starter and a variety of main courses. We were all more than satisfied; everything was absolutely delicious. We will definitely be back and can wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant.

Always good food and good service at the guild meeting

I was there for a training course and was impressed as soon as I arrived at the beautiful building. A very nice, well-maintained atmosphere, incredibly cozy and stylishly furnished – simply perfect for relaxing. The staff were very friendly and well-groomed. The food was delicious and more than plentiful. All in all, I can highly recommend this restaurant.

We stayed at the RV site, which was nice and quiet despite being close to the motorway. In the evening, we had a delicious meal, and the service was friendly and helpful. We'll be back again.

This is a large restaurant; the food was truly amazing, the service was excellent, and the staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. There was plenty of parking available. We reserved a table in advance just to be on the safe side.

Good afternoon, we went there for dinner yesterday. First of all, I would like to mention that it is very difficult these days to find an inn or restaurant that serves hot meals all day. This was the case here, and we were pleasantly surprised. We arrived at a very well-kept and excellently equipped restaurant. We received a friendly greeting at the entrance and were seated at our table with great attention and promptly, without any particular waiting time. The staff were exceptionally friendly and well-dressed for their duties. This is no longer necessarily the norm these days, which is why we mention it. You feel particularly at home both when you walk in and at your table. The service at the table was excellent. In every interaction with the staff, we sensed that love and passion go hand in hand, combined with hospitality. The dishes on offer were exceptionally varied and of high quality. The food was excellently prepared, and there was no reason for complaint. All in all, a highly recommended location with excellent service and outstanding food. We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for the great service and excellent food. Upon request, we were advised to make a reservation during peak times. The attached sales area is also highly recommended. Here, too, we received attentive and accommodating service. Fine dining, exquisite service, and a very busy place. Reservations are essential, especially on weekends, no matter the time of day. There's also a shop with a selection of beautiful items. There's also a lovely outdoor terrace where you can sit comfortably. Everything is very well-maintained and clean.

There's a lot of space on the farm, which makes it very convenient to arrive by car. I find the ambiance really nice and cozy. Outside, everything is green, and animals roam around, which really adds to the already positive atmosphere. The price is really fair. The food is okay. It tastes good and arrives relatively quickly, especially if you're there alone like me, but it wasn't something I remember. I was really torn between three and four stars, but the service unfortunately only allows me to give it a HIGH third star. The service itself was okay. It was friendly, but that was it. I raised my arm a few times for a drink, but no one came. Right at the end, when I was finished, someone came up to me and asked if I wanted anything else, which was way too late for me personally. Still, a good stay.

We were there with a group of 9 people. It was Bavarian Week. The dishes were tailored to the occasion. Despite several people, drinks were taken and served relatively quickly. The food orders were also taken quickly. The rooms are spacious, but relatively quiet despite the group. If you like home-style cooking, you'll be in a great place here. Even if it's not a theme week, the menu is impressive.

Everything was fine so far. The fifth star would be awarded if the discriminatory term "Z...sauce" were replaced with "paprika sauce."

We were invited to a 50th wedding anniversary. We've rarely been served so kindly and graciously. A VERY BIG THANK YOU to the staff.

The food was very good 👍 Pumpkin soup 😋 Roast fallow deer in red wine sauce, stuffed Williams pear with mashed potatoes (there was really very little mashed potatoes), but it was still truly wonderful and delicious.

Definitely recommend it. Varied menu. Very attentive and friendly service. The hygiene standards are also impressive, as is the overall well-maintained area. We will definitely be back. Thank you and best regards!

A very cozy atmosphere! The charm of Haus Waldfrieden hasn't faded, even after more than 50 years. I personally never found it boring as a child. Even now, it's still very nice and exciting for children! For me, even after all these years, it's still worth a visit for a relaxing moment. Greetings from the Ahr Valley

Haus Waldfrieden impresses with solid, good, home-style cooking. The dishes are freshly prepared, down-to-earth, and taste just as you would expect from a traditional inn – hearty, savory, and without unnecessary frills. The portions are also generous, and the value for money is good. The service is friendly and attentive, which further enhances the pleasant experience. One minor criticism is the rather rustic style of the restaurant – those expecting a modern ambiance won't quite get their money's worth here. All in all, however, this is a highly recommended restaurant if you value honest, home-style cooking and a cozy atmosphere. We'd be happy to return.

The restaurant is really good. There's also a camper site that's easily accessible and has electricity. All in all, definitely recommended.

The food was okay, but without any particular surprises or highlights. The taste was solid, but nothing memorable. The value for money is good, so the overall experience is satisfactory. A restaurant that stands out above all for its location, ambiance, and service.

Children (1 & 8) choose a piece of ice cream cake and are served it. The children complain that the ice cream cake doesn't taste good. It turns out that the ice cream cake contains a lot of alcohol, which is why the children don't like it. This wasn't mentioned when ordering; the children were simply given a cake containing alcohol. The person was told that you shouldn't serve cake containing alcohol to small children, and you certainly shouldn't conceal the fact that it contains alcohol. Unfortunately, the person doesn't listen. We even had to pay for the ice cream cake.

A large day-trip restaurant, the kind that used to be more common but are now rare. It's beautifully situated in the countryside and is therefore a popular spot for many cyclists, as well as entire busloads, thanks to the truly spacious interior. We were there during beautiful summer weather, but still managed to find a seat on the large terrace. The service was quite fast despite the crowds. There was nothing to complain about with the food. The schnitzel with chanterelles could have been a bit larger. We'll definitely be back again.

Very unfriendly, unmotivated staff. They only serve what's on the menu, nothing more, nothing less. Whenever I asked for special food, they rolled their eyes several times. Very sad because the atmosphere is lovely.

I was looking forward to a goat cheese salad! Unfortunately, I was very disappointed. The salad base was a mixed salad, just like the salad is served as a side dish with other dishes. (with ready-made dressing) a few pine nuts 3 fried goat cheese balls and fried lattice potatoes. (€18.00) is not good value for money! This definitely needs to be improved.

I wonder what the guests eat when the food is so highly praised. Four of us were there – we ordered fish twice, and two dishes with chanterelles. All the dishes were very salty, not to say oversalted. The chanterelles were in a thick mush that drowned the crispy fried schnitzel. The young waitress apparently apologized for the mistake in the kitchen...that was it! For us, one thing is certain: Never again!

A lovely, old restaurant nestled in a small wooded area. Great outdoor terrace, good service, and very clean restrooms. The food is plentiful and nicely presented. Advance reservations are highly recommended. The attached children's playground is very dated and unfortunately cannot be used without accidents, as most of the equipment is made of wood, which is past its best. However, to what extent the restaurant is responsible for its maintenance and repair is beyond my knowledge.

We made a table reservation in advance by phone, and it worked perfectly. The food, service, and ambiance are perfect. Parking is very good, and it's also very easy to reach by bike. We ate there for the second time yesterday, and once again, everything was excellent.

We spent 2 days on the Womoplatz! Great view of the countryside... of the cow meadow... pure idyll! We have rarely seen such a well-kept property! Beautifully landscaped... animals... great playground.. great food.. great starting point for great bike tours... very nice and attentive service. Thank you very much...we'll be back!! Very good food. I can only recommend it

The restaurant is beautifully situated in a green setting and is a popular stop for day-trippers and cyclists. The clientele is largely of the "older generation." The staff deserves a very good rating because they are attentive and polite. Unfortunately, the food didn't live up to expectations. The main complaint about the Münsterländer Schlachtplatte (Munsterland meat platter) was that the sauerkraut was overcooked. Furthermore, the meat (ribs, bratwurst, etc.) was far too fatty and not even remotely good. The pork medallions, on the other hand, were overcooked and therefore not a real treat. Only the schnitzel was not objectionable. On the positive side, the "Kristian" was accepted to the extent that dessert (vanilla pudding with cherries) was served free of charge with the platters. From previous visits, I remembered the Waldfrieden as having better results. Two stars may be a bit harsh, but three is a bit much.

Sonntag Nachmittag bekamen wir Hunger auf ein Wildgericht, die Suchmaschine warf die Speisekarte dieses Restaurants heraus. Ein Anruf und der Tisch für 6 Personen war reserviert. Angekommen am Restaurant befürchteten wir Massenabfertigung, da es so voll war. Unsere Befürchtung bestätigte sich nicht! Super netter Empfang, toller Service, frische Qualität und das Essen war auf den Punkt. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall gerne wieder!!

A nice and big restaurant. Food was delicious. However, I have to say, I don't think it's so nice when you order the children waffles with ice cream and cherries and they say "no cherries please" so that you are forced to take them with cherries...

Three 3 stars for the food. A) My wife was happy with the food B) I had ordered a slaughter plate. You actually expect meat there. In fact, I only found a 5 to 6 cm long sausage. Also a piece of rib about 8 cm in size with about a centimeter of meat on it. Finally there was a piece of ham measuring 3 x 8 cm and 1 cm thick To put it somewhat ironically, you could describe this as the first almost vegan slaughter platter of my life. There was also mashed potatoes and sauerkraut as well as panas. Material costs around €3 to €4. Costs €21. But the waiter and the serving robot were very friendly.
