We celebrated our daughter's baptism in Waldfrieden in the Schwalbe and it was wonderful. Everything worked out great and was implemented as agreed. The service is great and all the employees are very friendly. The food is great and everything tasted very good! We would love to come back and our guests were also very enthusiastic.

A great destination for day trips and family gatherings! Yesterday August 17, 2024, again! Friendly, friendly staff, excellent quality, exemplary price-performance ratio! It's a pleasure to come back again and again - I've been there for 40 years now!!

A nice reception on the terrace, and yet you could tell the waiter was a little stressed after a bus tour had just left! Those are his words. The noticeable excitement quickly dissipated and you would be rewarded with a delicious and beautifully presented menu plate. The service was also convincing. CONCLUSION: Cozy atmosphere - excellent cuisine convinced me that I am already planning a next visit with friends. If the weather is nice, a table reservation would be an advantage if possible.

We reserved a table at short notice for a large group and got a great table on the very nice terrace. The ambience and food were very good, but what we liked best was the excellent service from Mr. Veenker. He impressed our entire company with his friendly, funny, unobtrusive but extremely professional manner. There was also the great playground and the cute donkey, which delighted the children. We had a thoroughly enjoyable evening and would be happy to come back if we were in Münsterland again.

We stopped over at this hotel, which has a few motohome parking places, just next to fields and meadows. What a great find. Only 4 km off the motorway, in a beautiful rural setting. Cycle path just off the hotel. Has a great restaurant and beer garden.

This is how I imagine gastronomy... tidy, well laid out, trained and friendly staff and then... delicious food. We like to drive 50 km each way. It was a great Sunday with a very happy mother-in-law!!!😍

This was our second time there. Food and service are really great. We would like the disabled toilet to be more spacious in the next renovation plan. Going to the toilet is really difficult with a wheelchair. That's why I deducted a point from Ambience. But we would still like to come back.

Here we treated ourselves to a few delicious cold drinks, which made you want to linger longer in the great ambience. Very nice and courteous staff. There is also a playground for children to keep them busy for longer.

The food in the higher price segment was really delicious. Trout as a starter is a poem, brawn is very delicate in the sausage meat but delicious. A little less oil on the fried potatoes would be nice. Conclusion: a little more expensive but recommended

Very nice house with good food and very good staff. We met up with our cousins ​​here. We came from the Osnabrück region and had a wonderful day. In the afternoon there was delicious cake. We will certainly come back again.

We first looked at the beautiful surroundings with friends. You can go for a walk and look at the forest and fields. Afterwards we went to the beautiful inn and had delicious food in a cozy corner. There is also great dessert, we chose ice cream cake. We'd love to come back, the people are very nice and it looks like they're well prepared for a lot of guests there.❤️

Were there on Saturday for a birthday. The food was very tasty. It's rare to find old-school staff these days who are nice, considerate and attentive. They even thought about children - they can really let off steam there after eating. Keep it up. We'll be back

OK. At first glance the price is high, but what is on offer is top notch. The service is also absolutely top class. The ambience is not my thing. Some people like rustic things, I don't. When they reserve tables, they ask for chairs. The benches are narrow and there is no legroom. More for Italians.

We were there after a walk. Our intention was to eat there and end the afternoon comfortably. We were there with 2 dogs. The staff didn't like that. When we got a water bowl for the dogs so that the two of them could have a quick drink, the waitress became very unfriendly and took the bowl out of my friend's hand. After all, we're not the only ones with a dog. We would have put them back in place after three minutes. Customer service is different. This caused us to drink the drink we ordered and leave the restaurant very quickly. After asking us three times to bring us an ashtray, it worked with an eye roll. Unbelievable! friendly is different!!!

Was ist passiert im Haus Waldfrieden? Hat man sich nun auch von der gut bürgerlichen Küche verabschiedet? Unfassbar was jetzt einem geboten wird. Eine Rindfleisch Suppe, die ohne Fettaugen nur aus Wasser besteht und mit Blumenkohl Stielen. Wenn der Salatteller doch so schön angerichtet ist, warum dann mit einem billigen, künstlich schmeckendem Salatdressing. Das Hähnchen Fleisch war eindeutig Formfleisch und ebenfalls mit einer künstlichen Sauce garniert. Ich kannte solche Zustände von einer einst gehobenen Küche nicht und bin maßlos enttäuscht. Kantinenessen kann ich auch woanders günstiger bekommen. Für die freundliche Bedienung, danke ich trotzdem.

My absolute favorite restaurant. A beautiful house that is spacious and rustic in the best sense of the word. Everything radiates a special comfort. And even though I have no idea how it works: even when it's full, it's never annoyingly crowded. You can always relax while eating. The food itself is also exceptional. I haven't found anything on the menu that didn't taste great. Throughout the year there are always great events such as musical dinners, barbecue evenings, kale buffets, etc. Haus Waldfrieden is located in the countryside, near the Dülmen Wildlife Park. There are lots of free parking spaces and on the way from the parking lot to the house you are greeted by Liesel and Racker. An enchanting donkey lady and an adorable goat. There is a large playground for children adjacent to the enclosure. In an outbuilding you can buy jewelry, decorations and beautiful furnishings. Also in a nice, relaxed atmosphere. Behind it there is a quiet garden with a pond and a small, newly designed chapel that invites you to relax. I would particularly like to highlight the service. I would like to give double stars here. All members of the service are incredibly attentive, kind, courteous and open and warm in their manner. After just two or three visits you will be addressed by name. Everyone makes an effort to create this feeling of “being with friends”. These great people contribute like nothing else to the comfort and the always wonderful experience of being here. And even when it's really busy and work can only be stressful, the smiles on the faces are still genuine and warm. For me it is clearly one of the most beautiful places, filled with wonderful people.

Were on April 20th. there for dinner with friends. They raved about how well the food was prepared there, but that evening it was a disaster. Eat lukewarm, my pork almost raw. I asked the waiter to please put the meat on the grill again. This is how the meat is prepared here, replied the waiter. My answer is that it can't be, my friend's meat is cooked through. My plate was taken to the kitchen to be touched up. Result: Meat still not done. The fries are now ice cold. When a complaint is made, the attachment is usually renewed, not here. Then I didn't feel like waving the waiter over again. I would also like to mention the careless presentation of the food. I've had better experiences in chip shops. Were they satisfied, the waiter asked as he cleared the plates. We said no. For my friend and I there was a dessert as a consolation. What happened?, the restaurant used to be great. 130 euros for a disaster. We won't eat there anymore.

We have been coming here to eat here for decades and have never been disappointed. It simply tastes very good, the prices are reasonable and the service is friendly and fast. The division of the restaurant into different rooms also makes the stay very pleasant.

Earlier - a long time ago - I gave this a positive rating. The location and the rooms are solid. But the salad consists of jarred beans, grated carrots, ready-made sauce with the taste of preservatives and unidentifiable greens - heaped in unappetizing heaps. There are disgusting dogs on the terrace that yap all over the “quiet” place. Mutts that would not be tolerated in any dog ​​training area and their inexperienced masters should be removed there as part of the house rules. The quality of the house has deteriorated significantly, you no longer feel comfortable there - rather you endure the unreasonable demands and the prices. Owning and/or running a large home makes a big difference. I won't go there anymore, maybe I'll take a look in ten years to see if it's still there and if it has improved.

A really big place that is still very cozy. Outside there is lots of greenery, benches, a playground and a pet donkey. There is a small shop with nice decorations in front of the restaurant. The food is home-style and of high quality. The prices are reasonable and the staff is friendly and quick.

Went here for lunch today on Easter Monday. It was again very tasty, my rump steak was exactly how I wanted it (medium), the service was very attentive. We were once again very satisfied and happy.

Great place especially with children. We come here regularly and, with the exception of Christmas 2023, we have always received excellent service. There is only one extremely unfriendly waiter. The rest of the team is really great! Everyone works very professionally here. The food is always impeccable and extremely tasty. Beautiful outdoor area, especially in summer. I can really recommend Haus Waldfrieden. And after eating, it's worth visiting the little shop. Our youngest daughter in particular always finds a little something there. The only drawback, as I said, is the one waiter and the prices have risen quite a bit. Otherwise I would have given it 5 stars.

Completely content. Good food, service top. An inn that even has a Ziegeunerschnitzel on the menu. The only thing that's a shame. Only small dogs are allowed in. The ones that cause the most terror. Big ones have to stay outside.

We have been regular guests at Haus Waldfrieden for several years now. The food is excellent. Really very tasty, not too spicy. Really good. We recommend it everywhere. Unfortunately there is a problem with the drinks. We've been there several times now and glasses were broken (broken edge, crack in the glass). It can happen. But it happens more often. As others have written before me, in the end you have to be careful with the bill. There are often drinks or dishes on there that you didn't order yourself. But here too. Everyone makes mistakes sometimes. The staff is very friendly. And usually fulfills every special wish. You are greeted very warmly at the entrance. However, there is one waiter in particular who becomes really rude and unpleasant if you don't tip. I think the prices are correct but still high for this really good quality food. The gentleman will certainly receive his salary as an employed waiter. As a guest you shouldn't feel forced to tip. We find it incredibly unpleasant to be served by this gentleman and are always happy when we don't sit in his area. We are no longer the only ones who find his appearance unpleasant. Therefore a star deduction for this gentleman. And otherwise we always like to come back and enjoy the really delicious and appealing food. 5 stars for the chefs and the kitchen team.

Das Adventsbuffet war super die Bedienung ebenso beim Nachtisch fehlte mir zur Roten Grütze die Vanilesosse ansonsten gut(vor Corona gepostet) Nach einer langen Pause ( 3 Jahre) waren wir wieder beim Adventsbuffet zu Gast Es war phantastisch die Küche hat gezeigt was sie kann : köstliche Vorspeisen als kleine Häppchen Hauptgerichte mit Rinderrouladen und Wildgerichte sogar Fischliebhaber konnten zugreifen super leckerer Rotkohl Zum Schluss ein großartiges Nachtischbuffet Toller aufmerksamer Service ohne aufdringlich zu sein Es war ein sehr schöner Abend Wir kommen wieder !

Ein traditionelles Restaurant, mit einem schönem Münsterländischem Ambiente und einer großen Außenanlage. Die Auswahl an den Gerichten ist vielversprechend, das Essen war sehr gut zubereitet und frisch. Der Preis hierfür war angebracht.

Habe dort schon einige Male Gast sein dürfen. Es gab nie Beanstandungen. Habe daher nun auch meinen runden Geburtstag dort verbracht. Es war alles zur besten Zufriedenheit. 2. Weihnachtstag, Essen war ok, Als Dessert kleines Eis (gekauftes Viennetta Eis) mit roter Soße passt absolut nicht zum gezahlten Preis..

Sehr nettes Personal. Auch Sonderwünsche werden mit Erfolg erfüllt. Trotz des hohen Aufkommens an Gästen, bleib unserer erfahrender Kellner gelassen und strukturiert. Die Parkplätze allerdings könnten ein wenig in Schuss gebracht werden.

Die an der Theke machen schon nen guten Job

Wir waren mit 9 Personen zum Mittagessen. Es war von der Bedienung bis zum Essen sehr enttäuschend. In der Preisklasse war das Essen nur Drittklassik. Lieblos angerichtet, Forelle trocken und zu viele Gräten in der Forelle. Alle 9 Personen geben nur maximal 2 Sterne. Der Service sollte vielleicht noch einmal geschult werden.

Kann ich nur Empfehlen alles richtig klasse gewesen.....

Wir waren heute zum Adventsbuffet. Reserviert für 6 Personen und 2 kleinen Kindern. Letztendlich waren die Kinder nicht dabei. Während des Essens kam der Chef oder Geschäftsführer an den Tisch und wies uns sehr unfreundlich und bestimmt darauf hin, dass wir für 8 Personen reserviert hätten und die 2 Leergedecke bezahlen sollten. Schließlich hätte er wegen unserer Reservierung mehreren Gästen absagen müssen. Ausnahmsweise würde er aber auf die Bezahlung der Leergedecke verzichten. Geht's noch? Das haben wir noch nirgends erlebt. Leider waren wir bereits beim Essen, ansonsten hätten wir das Lokal sofort verlassen. Essen war trotzdem sehr gut und die Bedienung sehr freundlich. Aber die Stimmung war dadurch doch etwas getrübt. Diese Vorgehensweise ist nicht sehr kundenfreundlich und der Verlust auch grösser, nämlich dann, wenn die Gäste nach solch einem Erlebnis nicht mehr wiederkommen.

Optisch sehr nett, leider ist der Eigentümer ein höchst unfreundlicher Mensch der es scheinbar nur auf gesunde gut zahlende Menschen abgesehen hat die schnell den Laden wieder verlassen... Einmal und nie wieder...

Erstbesuch letzte Woche: Ein überaus unfreundlicher Wirt, wir verließen verwundert noch vor einer möglichen Bestellung das Haus und verzichten gerne auf einen weiteren Versuch. Das schöne Münsterland bietet bessere Alternativen mit gastfreundlichen Wirten.

Alles andere als gastfreundlich, hat somit auch den Namen "Waldfrieden" nicht verdient.

Essen hat uns nicht überzeugt, Gänsebrust ,die Haut war überhaupt nicht knusprig , das Championschnitzel war sehr trocken und kaum gewürzt.

Essen Top. Preise völlig OK. Und das Personal immer Freundlich und aufmerksam.

Ich habe im Waldfrieden die beste Schweinshaxe meines Lebens gegessen. Meine Wünsche wurden hervorragend umgesetzt. Mein besonderer Dank geht an Herrn Knepper und seinen Team.👍👍👍👍👍
