We were seated without a reservation on the very nice and well-kept terrace. The service was consistently very friendly and competent. The dishes we ordered were delicious and well-seasoned. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

We were very impressed by the Winzerstuben Weick. They offer a varied, regional selection. The dishes are expertly prepared and impress with their flavor and the products used! The service and ambiance were also impressive. Definitely worth a visit!

The location is beautiful, the quality of the food and drinks is decent, but the service fluctuates massively depending on who arrives at the table. It ranges from very courteous and polite to arrogant and stuffy. While one person serves cleanly, another puts their finger in the plate, ignores the dirty edge, and displays no professionalism whatsoever. A complaint resulted in something strange: the same plate, but with obvious rag marks on the edge. An unnecessary gesture that devalues ​​the service. In short: the service is the crux of the matter, making this restaurant experience a gamble. Chances are good that the gentleman is serving elsewhere, but woe betide him if he comes to your table and rudely ruins the overall experience.

A minor technical glitch caused a problem with our order. The wait staff noticed this after a while and took care of it. Unfortunately, the kitchen didn't think it was appropriate to "step up the pace." The bottom line is, we had to wait over an hour for our food. Considering the wait times of the other guests, that was far too long! At least it was delicious! The only downside to the otherwise great service was that no receipt was offered... and the wait was long. Fun fact: If you want a pilsner, you can get a 0.275l bottle of beer... Be careful, don't swallow the bottle!

We sat outside on a well-kept terrace with plenty of planters. The male waitress was super friendly. The food was very good, exactly to our taste. The wine, Morio Muscat, was also to my liking. Overall, we were satisfied!

No, we had a reservation. We weren't allowed to sit outside, even though there were people sitting there. The dark-haired waitress was unfriendly. We had a reservation at 5:00 p.m. and still hadn't gotten any drinks by 5:20 p.m. It was a disgrace. But we got two menus for two people. At another table, people wanted to pay and had already waited 20 minutes, even though there were only 20 people there. That was last Sunday. Not recommended. You can't treat guests like that. It's a shame considering the great atmosphere.

A very pleasant restaurant. We were served by a very nice and courteous older lady. The food tasted okay and was good value for money, but nothing exceptional. What is unacceptable is that they use whipped cream in their ice cream sundaes in a restaurant like this. What is even more unacceptable is that a younger waitress constantly reprimanded the older lady who served us in front of the guests and was badmouthed to other colleagues. That was pure bullying. This experience has caused us to refrain from visiting the restaurant until further notice.

This was our second time here (everyone deserves a second chance) and we were disappointed the second time! The sauces tasted bland, the salad dressing was like water, and some portions were quite small for the price. However, some of the food tasted okay. The waiters also seemed unmotivated. It's a shame, there are far better restaurants/winery taverns nearby.

We've become regulars and can't understand why so many negative reviews are posted. We were here just last night with our daughter and grandchildren, and everything was perfect, as always. Great service, especially Vasilly, who was quick, attentive, charming, and always in a good mood. Excellent food, and no long waits. The portions are also well-priced. We highly recommend this restaurant, but we recommend making a reservation, otherwise there might be no room left. It's not for nothing that we drive 25km each way to get here. Please keep up the good work; we're looking forward to sitting in the beer garden. See you soon, the Knecht family.

Unfortunately, I don't understand the bad reviews. The food was delicious, and the portions were more than adequate. Our server was a very nice and humorous lady. We've been there several times now, the last time a year ago, and as always, we're very satisfied. Keep up the good work.

We are (were) long-time guests. Unfortunately, many things have changed for the worse: The price-performance ratio is no longer right – prices are high, quantity is smaller, quality is lower. Specific example from May 18, 2025: Fitness salad with turkey for about €17. A carelessly prepared salad with far too much dressing, the meat was lying in this dressing. No trace of seasonal ingredients (radishes, tomatoes, chives, etc.). Second meal: 2 liver dumplings with bread for about €15. I've never seen liver dumplings that small in the Palatinate region. Equally carelessly prepared. The service has also deteriorated significantly. Waiters are often disinterested, seem listless, and overwhelmed.

We reserved a table for 12 people for a 90th birthday party at 12:30 p.m. with floral decorations. After the drinks were served at around 1 p.m., the very friendly waiter told us to place our food orders promptly, as the table would be reserved for new guests at 2 p.m. The ordered floral decorations were missing and, after a complaint, were placed on the table as a bouquet in a vase. The food was served slowly, so some were almost finished while others were still waiting for their orders. We all had to forgo dessert or coffee because there wasn't enough time, and we were "shown off." Disappointing mass processing. This used to be our favorite restaurant in Kallstadt!

I've been coming to Weick for decades and have always been satisfied, but recently friends and I have noticed that the portions have shrunk quite a bit For example, the very good game goulash, which at the moment with 4-6 small pieces of meat is a bit too little for the money, (a shame) Please change, thank you!!!! Then there is the one male waitress who started to react rudely for the third time, for example to a question about whether it was possible to get more spaetzle. Next time for a question about... the sauce. And then the sound, Ouch!!!! That doesn't suit the place.

Good home cooking, good food with a beer garden. Unfortunately, we didn't like it that much on our last visit because even though four of us ordered our food, almost everyone got their own food when one of them was almost finished. And that at a birthday dinner, we really disliked it and we're not used to it from there. This needs to be improved, definitely. I already complained about this two years ago. Unfortunately nothing has changed as of today. Very annoying and unfortunate.

Because of the highly praised recommendation and the good reviews, we came here from Rhine-Main on a beautiful Saturday. The telephone contact and the reservation of a place in the terraced courtyard were really nice and made the anticipation increase. But then there was a deep fall into disappointment. The service was very unfriendly and slow. A spritz wasn't even brought to the table, even though the water had already taken a while. “Coming soon” was the short answer. Later, when we were already in the middle of eating, the spritz ran out. The card was casually thrown onto the table... The food was just, well, the grilled fish plate was filled with breaded fillets and a piece of salmon - without breading - was sizzled to death. A fitness salad was more of a shrunken salad and no one even wanted to hear a comment about it. What a shame, what a shame

We sat there for a long time before anyone felt responsible for us. Food came quite quickly, but was very clear I ate pork medallions with pepper sauce, spaetzle and vegetables. My counterpart had the winery pan with spaetzle and salad. The vegetables were frozen. The spaetzle was enough for one child each. The meat, the sauce (although not homemade) and the salad were ok. We won't be coming back. I'd rather cook myself. The tiramisu, which we ordered because we were still hungry (which was probably intentional), turned out to be very tasty. After paying he said thank you, but wishing you a nice evening wasn't there. Oh, I had forgotten that he had already cleared my plate while I was still chewing the last bite.

Great restaurant! The food is very, very good, served quickly, and the price/performance ratio is right. The decor is nice and cozy, yet chic. We've been there twice so far and felt very comfortable. We'll be back more often ☺️ We're already looking forward to the outdoor area in spring or summer!

The blackcurrant spritzer was so bland that we had to order more juice. Also with my two friends. Unfortunately the waiter didn't understand and said half juice - half water. It was never half juice! The fries that my girlfriend bought for 6.00 euros. (!) ordered also came out very sad and were limp. My black pudding was very fatty and salty. Unfortunately I could only eat half of it. Unfortunately not good. For me, this restaurant is no longer an option for culinary reasons.

I was there with my friends during the week for a birthday dinner. The atmosphere is inviting, you immediately feel at home. The selection of unusual Palatinate dishes is clear, and vegetarian dishes can also be found there. If you have any questions about the wine, the waiters and the courteous boss are always available and have an idea (which, in my experience, is not often the case). The winemaker's pan with salad was delicious and I highly recommend it. The service was quite good, but I found it rather cheeky for the waiter to insist on a tip. That was very disappointing.

Very good Palatinate cuisine with changing Rages offers. In terms of ambience: on the one hand there is the classic Palatinate dining room and on the other hand there is the large, chicly furnished dining room, which can easily accommodate larger birthdays and celebrations.

We were there for dinner with a group of 12. Service quick and smooth. Our waiter Daniel was super nice and accommodating. Quality of the food very good. Consistently convincing - be it the cordon bleu, the fish dishes, the hare leg, the winemaker's pan or the vegetable bolognese. We were satisfied and will definitely come back.

There were four of us eating. The venison goulash was okay (but not more than that), a pear with the cranberries, as I know it, would have been good. The liver tasted good, but the winemaker's steaks with fried potatoes were bad (meat fatty, poor quality in terms of taste, fried potatoes were dripping with fat). When I spontaneously feel like going out to eat and want it to be perfect and that's been the case for well over 5 years now. I come here.

We were here in the restaurant again these days. As always, the home-style cuisine was delicious and varied, but when I got the roast pork, which was specially offered on the board in the entrance area, the only side dish was a dumpling. When I asked if I could get another dumpling, I said yes. After a while this came too, otherwise the portion would have been really too small. Unfortunately, when I paid I discovered that an extra €2 had been charged for this, which I only noticed later. In my opinion, this is not possible at all, at least I should have been made aware of it beforehand and not simply calculated. Without this second dumpling I wouldn't have been full. This is just a food for thought to do better. Otherwise we felt very comfortable again.

As a large family, we celebrated a big birthday at an advanced age in this restaurant. After stopping by several times to make sure that the birthday celebration went smoothly, we arrived in large numbers on the final day and had to endure service that couldn't be worse from an organizational point of view. We were squeezed into a table with 18 people that wasn't made for that number of people. After being asked in a friendly manner whether there was a way to improve this situation, we were personally rejected in an astonishingly unfriendly manner by the boss, as this is always the way things are done in this restaurant. To put the cherry on the cake, guests from strangers were seated in the same small room, so at every Greek sports ground you get more privacy for such a celebration. The boss ran away with a very snarky look and snidely said that some of the people should just sit at a table opposite. To be fair, the ambience is quite nice and the food tastes quite good, but nothing above average, you certainly have better options in the Palatinate to make such a celebration better and tastier! No recommendation.

I ordered and ate the roasted goose, and the presentation was wonderful, and the stuffing inside the goose and the chestnut garnish were both very delicious. The price is also reasonable. I'm very satisfied.

We ate here a year ago. A year ago we weren't completely satisfied. The food tasted the same as always, and the ambience remained unchanged. Unfortunately the service left something to be desired. My dish and my wife's dish had a salad on the menu that was missing. My mother's dish was supposed to leave out the red cabbage and add a salad instead. The red cabbage was left out, but so was the lettuce. Then the tables that came after us were served bread with I think herb butter right after they were seated. Not with us. When you asked politely, you were not particularly politely given 3 slices of brown bread but no butter or lard, which I find very unfortunate. In every pizzeria, Greek, Turkish, Mexican and Spanish, there is bread with butter, tzatziki, salsa or aioli.

First the positive: my deer medallions were perfectly fried (pink) and wonderfully tender. But that was it. My overall verdict: It's better to avoid it at peak times on the weekends and during the goose season. Too many guests who cannot be satisfied with appropriate service by the overall organization of the restaurant. This is probably largely due to the inexperienced staff… We were there with my mother for her 84th birthday. We had clarified in advance in writing that we did not want to eat a whole goose but rather a la carte. This must have been lost… We asked three times because a goose had probably been prepared for us… Now to the service: The waiter was totally overwhelmed, as were the entire service staff including the kitchen. My wife had the fish platter. Fish was oversalted, and you can't speak of a reasonable presentation on the plate. Fish and fried potatoes were slammed onto the plate, the fish was broken and was partly under the potatoes. The deer medallions were drowned in sauce, red cabbage was very tasty but unfortunately overcooked. There were also croquettes, probably frozen goods… My wine order was totally lost. After asking three times, I got a glass. The waiter didn't remember which one I had ordered... The waiter was generally very unfriendly and, as mentioned above, absolutely unable to cope with the stressful situation in a full house. In the end there was one glass too many on the bill. The waiter was reluctant to pay the money back and then threw it on our table… We wanted to take home two dishes that weren't made. This was asked three times by different service staff. The result was that our food was accidentally thrown away by the kitchen and a small portion was made for us. In itself very accommodating but not exactly sustainable… All in all, a very disappointing and annoying experience, as I had actually only heard positive things beforehand…

A total disappointment! Underground service! Unbearably foggy dining room! Inferior food! It was so foggy in the dining room that you felt like you could cut the air. Then all of our dishes (5 people!) were simply forgotten about all the side salads!?, then it didn't taste as expected, and then after eating we sat in front of the empty plates for 45 minutes. The spaetzle is not homemade, no special meat, no special salads, no special sauce... But special prices! Simple food like in a canteen. Empty drinks, empty plates, no service anywhere. In order to get a service to our table, we had to draw attention to ourselves loudly. We just wanted to go... After a corresponding complaint of dissatisfaction, the response was with incomprehension...No accommodation, nothing... And such a performance after such a big newspaper article?? Never again!

We had a goose dinner reservation, which was a bit odd at reception; the reservation list couldn't be found, and everything was a bit cold. The service also left a lot to be desired; we always had to call for a drink order, and no one came to ask! The staff were overwhelmed; there were arguments at the counter—not very hospitable! The food was good! Nevertheless, we wouldn't go back; it's a mass procession!

One star is still way too many. Where do I begin? For 20 euros, I could have made this meal much better at home. Spaetzle from a packet, sauce not homemade. The service was absolutely terrible. The side salad was forgotten and arrived when the food was almost finished. We then sat for 35 minutes with our empty plates. No dessert was offered. Absolutely NOT recommended. The atmosphere in the room was pungent. We won't be eating there again.

The food today wasn't convincing, 2x winemaker's steak, both of which were very tough, the liver was partly hard, the pike perch was good, but only with boiled potatoes and very dry. Maybe you could add a sauce to it - if you wish?

We had reserved a table, but were initially ignored when we entered the restaurant and in the end we were rather unpleasantly scared away from the restaurant when the table lamps were simply taken from the table. It's a shame that a lovely evening ended like this.

It is our favorite restaurant in Kallstadt, we eat here at least once a week. More often in the summer because you can have wonderful free seats. Since last year, her daughter Laura and her husband (the Schmitz family) have taken over the restaurant. We can say that nothing has changed in terms of quality, quantity and friendliness and we can highly recommend the restaurant. No matter what food we have eaten so far, it is always perfect and the price is right. The staff is also great.

I was there for a goose dinner, well, I think a restaurant is becoming a victim of its success. That's a lot but not a class. I personally wasn't happy. It's nice for the operator that the guests are running into his place. However, it should be despite that everything will be a lovely evening for everyone. It took a long time until we were able to place a drink order and just as long until it came. After we had been there for over half an hour we asked about the food. The whole goose was ordered and additional individual portions. However, we were more people than individuals + the whole goose. That led to irritation on the part of the service. After a number of explanations, we were able to order an individual portion. This, incomprehensibly, did not fit with the rest The order came. Since this "just takes a while now" we re-ordered it. The goose itself was carved at the table. Unfortunately everything that had to do with the whole goose was lukewarm. The goose itself was sometimes very, very crispy and unfortunately also dry. Not to mention the seasoning, which was missing. The sauce was thick and tasteless. The red cabbage was cooked completely soft. Maybe we were just unlucky, but an evening like this isn't exactly cheap. Everything should be right and the guest shouldn't feel like they're just a moneymaker. If it is difficult for staff to offer it perfectly, then accept fewer reservations. And another sentence about the ambience, a wine bar/restaurant can also be made more beautiful with a lot of wood.

We ordered a table 4 hours in advance and that worked well. The food was really good, but the waitress would have to pass on what was ordered. And the warm chocolate cake was ordered with liquid chocolate, which unfortunately wasn't the case and the mixed ice cream didn't come after ordering it twice

We came without a reservation and were seated four of us at a very large table with another couple, although smaller tables remained free the entire evening. You sit either in the old restaurant, where it looks cozy and rustic, or in the large dining hall, which has more of the feel of a train station hall or the functional dining room of an outdated spa hotel. The service made an effort, which unfortunately wasn't enough for me. We weren't asked if we wanted any more drinks, the dessert menu was brought, but we were never asked again if we wanted to order anything.

A restaurant that has a good and sufficiently large menu on which everyone who is looking for good home-style, Palatinate cuisine can find something. One or two dishes of international standard can also be found. The service is very friendly, attentive and also professionally trained, at least in my impression. The prices are not cheap, but reasonable. If you want to have a simple and good meal - recommended...🍽 Larger celebrations can also be held here - unfortunately I can't judge this after my visit, but I can probably assume that this will be managed well 👍.
