Wassergarten in Essen

Man kann hier schön sitzen Kaffee und Bier waren gut ,erholsam. Der Park ist groß und sehr gepflegt läd zu verweilen ein

...die Pizza mit Thunfisch war der Hammer, freundliches Personal, das Ambiente könnte etwas stylischer sein....

Es war ein sehr schöner Tag 🥰 Der Restaurantbesitzer war super nett und das Essen war wirklich sooo lecker 😋🍽️ Hat mir richtig gut gefallen ❤️✨

Die Bewertung bezieht sich auf die Verkaufsstände der Orangerie im Park . Das soll den wunderbaren Grugapark repräsentieren??.unschön und lieblos gestalteter Essensstände Plastikeimer.. lieblose Verkaufsschlage zb direkt am Eingangsbereich der Gruga (Orongerie) da geht man leiber sofort wieder raus Angebot nur ungesund von Wurst über Pommes Ketchup Majo zu slush Eis pp.und hinten am Kleintiergarten sieht es aus wie ne Sperrmüllsammlumg zudem ragen Schrauben und Nägel aus der Bodenverankerung..echte Gefahr für Kinder.. Warum lässt die Gruga so etwas zu..das passt alles noch nicht mal zum Schalker- Trödelmarkt ..geschweige den zur tollen Gruga..echt sehr sehr schade..willkommen in den 70 ern..

Nach 30 Minuten gegangen, da wir nicht beachtet wurden. Trotz Nachfrage wurde keine Bestellung aufgenommen. Schade

Es könnte richtig schön sein, leider aber lieblos und ungemütlich eingerichtet und auch der Außenbereich ist nicht schön. Wirklich schade, das Ding hat Potenzial

Wir haben einen Cappuccino getrunken der bedauerlicherweise maximal schlecht vom Geschmack war und absolut nichts mit Kaffee/Cappuccino zu tuen hatte für einen Preis von 4,50€

Die Toilette ist... ein Erlebnis für sich.

Ich war dort wurde sehr unfreundlich behandelt das Essen war nicht lecker fertig Sachen schmeckt wie Dosen essen dann wollte ich mir Zigaretten holen haben die mir eine Karte gegeben habe 20 Euro reingetan hab Zigaretten für 10 gekauft der Rest kam nicht raus da stand drauf das Rückmeldung kommt dann hab ich Bescheid gesagt wurde angemeckert dafür das ich mein Geld zurück haben wollte respektlos

Es ist ok aber mehr auch nicht - für kurz sitzen und was trinken ist es vollkommen ok

Beim Grugapark Leuchten, in der Orangerie gewesen....lecker Kuchen gegessen...beim nächsten Besuch gerne wieder 🎂👍🙋🫶🍀

Die Orangerie im Gruga Park ist schon sehr in die Jahre gekommen. Wenig Gemütlichkeit, kalte Atmosphäre, das Servicepersonal ist bemüht aber überfordert mit dem Aufkommen an Gästen. Das Essen ist mittelmäßig. Aber dennoch gut für eine Erfrischung nach dem Spaziergang durch den Park.

Ich war lediglich dort ein Eis essen. Das Eis war wirklich sehr lecker, aber das Kindereis in der Schatztruhe ist für den Preis eine Frechheit, daher nur drei Sterne. Über den Service kann ich tatsächlich wenig sagen. Das Ambiente ist okay, für mich reicht es zum kurzen Verweilen/Ausruhen.

Das Essen war leider nicht gut. Für 4 Personen haben wir knapp 80 EUR da gelassen und dafür folgendes bekommen: 2x Schnitzel mit Salat und Pommes, 1x ein Nudelgericht und eine Pizza Margaretha Und 4x Getränke Die Einrichtung sieht für mich sehr sehr schlimm aus und macht keinen Eindruck von einem guten Restaurant. Auf der Pizza war ein Haar. Das Nudelgericht hat grundsätzlich gut geschmeckt war nur viel zu versalzen. Die Schnitzel waren so trocken und haben so lange im fett geschwommen, dass in meiner Kuhle auf dem Schnitzel ein Fettsee war. Es hat schon einen Grund, dass es hier sehr leer ist. Wenn dann noch jemand durch den Raum geht, der ein verdrecktes T-Shirt an hat und dem Zellstoff aus dem Ärmel unten rausragt und er sich zwischen Küche und Buchhaltung bewegt, habe ich irgendwie keinen Appetit mehr. Die Salatsoße war im übrigen so katastrophal, dass ich bis abends immer noch aufstoßen musste und wir waren hier mittags um 12.

Die Orangerie im Grugapark war angenehm beheizt ( angesichts der winterlichen Temperaturen eine Wohltat), aber da wir zum Parkleuchten Event unterwegs waren, haben wir nur Cappuccino bestellt. Der kam heiß und lecker an. Die Kuchenauswahl war ansprechend, wurde aber nicht probiert.

Naaaaja. War früher mal geiler. Sehr stark runtergekommen, sitzt doch tatsächlich einer am WC im Keller und möchte gerne "Spenden" haben. Dabei sahen die Toiletten aus wie im Endzeit-Apokalypse Film...

Wir wollten nach einem eisigen Spaziergang durch den Park einen heißen Pott Kakao genießen und eventuell ein Stück Kuchen dazu essen. Auf den ersten Blick war aber der Kuchen/Torten allesamt TK-Ware (bestenfalls C&W), also bestellten wir eine Waffel. Noch nie in meinem Leben war ich so enttäuscht. Ebenso konnte ich ein Stück Plastik kauen und der Pott Kakao war eine winzige Tasse mit kalter gefärbter Milch - Katastrophe. Das schlimmste war, das das Personal absolut nicht verstehen konnte, wo der Unterschied zwischen einer Tasse und einem Becher/Pott liegt und erzählten irgendwas davon, dass die Sahne auch etwas kostet. Muss man echt nicht verstehen. Nie wieder.

Es war warm. Das war es dann aber leider auch schon! Die schlimmste Pizza die ich je gegessen habe!!! Eindeutig keine Empfehlung. Den 1 Stern gibt es weil es warm war.

Spontan hier essen gewesen und sich aufwärmen. Das Erscheinungsbild ist ok, veraltet und kahl, die Tische eher mit großen Servierten bedeckt, statt Tischdecken. Die Kuchen- und Tortenauslage war mäßig bestückt und alles andere als hausgemacht, hier ließ dann eher die TK-Abteilung grüßen. Die Speisekarte wurde sehr klein und schlicht gehalten, aber man konnte etwas finden. Die Bedienungen waren anscheinend neu und nicht aus der Branche, was alleine schon das Servieren und der fehlende Service zeigten. Die bestellten Pizzen waren echt das Geld nicht wert. Nicht richtig durchgebacken und labbrig wie Papier. Geschmack gab es nur durch den Oregano, sonst leider nichts. Wenn man dann zahlen möchte, wartet man vergebens, so dass wir nach geraumer Zeit auf uns aufmerksam machen mussten. Alles in allem war es rausgeworfenes Geld, wären wir zum nächsten Imbiss gefahren, wären wir deutlich zufriedener gewesen. Leider muss man einen Stern geben, sonst hätte ich diesen auch nicht vergeben.

Sehr in die Jahre gekommen, es wird Zeit für was neues.

Excellent coffee and cake. Attentive and friendly service. Perfect for a quick break after a walk in the Gruga district. Pizza and soup were okay. Restrooms available.

It started to rain, so I ordered a cappuccino. Unfortunately, I'd left my money at home. No argument was necessary. The cappuccino was on the house, no ifs, ands, or buts. Next time I visit, I'll leave a generous tip. Service by and for people. <3

Cake is purely frozen, coffee doesn't taste good.

The Grugapark in Essen is a lovely day trip destination, but the restaurants, especially the Orangery, are in dire need of improvement. The ambiance is virtually nonexistent. The furniture is outdated, broken, and dirty. Seat cushions and tablecloths are covered in stains. The food itself is okay, but you can get better at any snack bar, and for a significantly lower price. The restrooms are also in need of renovation; the rooms are demolished, and toilet paper is still hanging from the holes in the suspended ceiling. Why did we eat there? Simply because there are no alternatives.

Very bad staff unfriendly, you wait 30 minutes until someone comes

One should be paid to eat what is offered - the quality is terrible, not even the Morlocks would eat it!

It's okay, there won't be a repeat for me.

The food is pretty good for a day trip park, even if you have to pay almost 18 euros for a simple Z-schnitzel

The iced coffees were really disgusting. Supposedly just coffee (gross), vanilla ice cream (gross), and whipped cream. But there were still brown ice cubes in them. Quite weird. Unfortunately, the cappuccino wasn't tasty either. Cakes were frozen and still cold. The sparkling water was good. But the only thing you could have done wrong was screw the bottle open incorrectly. They managed that. Too few staff and a bit inattentive. They desperately need something else. The view is beautiful, just like getting up.

For me, it was the only decent option in the park. Everywhere else I saw was fast food. The salad wasn't exactly cheap, but the portion was sufficient.

Appearances can be deceiving: It doesn't look very inviting from the outside or inside, but the food and service were very good. We were there with a large group on a Friday lunchtime. The food was very good quality and definitely not frozen; everything was attractively presented and fresh.

Nice atmosphere in Grugapark with ready-made meals. From a culinary perspective, I highly recommend not eating any of the food at this restaurant. Added to that is the poor service.

Unfortunately, as soon as it gets a bit more crowded, all the employees seem overwhelmed. Incorrect orders and very long wait times are the result. It would be desirable to have more staff on duty on particularly warm days so that the trip to the park remains relaxing :) Prices are a bit high, but still acceptable. Quality is also okay.

We were there during the State Garden Show. Okay, the building is nice—but you don't need to go just for the eight citrus trees! Staff not particularly friendly. Restrooms, okay!

We stopped here spontaneously for a snack. The pizza margarita was really fresh and delicious, and ready in 15 minutes. The cappuccino was unfortunately watery, but it came quickly. The service was good. There was a beautiful view and a large lawn for the kids.

We were there today and each had an ice cream sundae. The ice cream balls were from a package, the fruit was from a can and the sauce was too sweet. Unfortunately not at all tasty and very expensive.

We ate very tasty food. We ate schnitzel. Very fast service, large portions. Very tasty vegetable soup.

We ate there again so deliciously, the prices are humane, even extra requests are fulfilled. Respect for the staff, no table was empty for more than 2-3 minutes today and the boys gave it their all👍👍👍👍👍

After a walk in Grugapark, it's nice to end the day with a drink in the orangery. In the best case scenario, the sun shines. The service is friendly. The range of food and drinks is completely sufficient. The prices are okay, but not cheap. 😉💋

We waited at the table for 25 minutes and waved to the waiter once. He didn't come. It wasn't full, nor were we in any way exceptional; given the prices, you could probably expect service. Then they just left and will never come back.

Terrible service. I once waited 45 (!!) minutes for a cup of tea even though the cafe wasn't completely full! Another time I just wanted a piece of cake to take home. I was told that wasn't possible. One star for the beautiful view.

The restaurant is bright and beautifully decorated. The food tastes delicious but the prices are relatively expensive. The staff isn't exactly friendly. There's almost never a smile and you don't feel like you're really welcome. Overall, I'm moderately satisfied.

Unfortunately it feels like a "tourist trap" - the price/performance ratio is unfortunately not right and the service was anything but friendly...It's such a shame that nothing more appealing is being done in this great location.

The eggplant plate was overpriced at €15.90 and nothing special, I was really disappointed. For the price I really expected something different. Too bad

The orangery is showing its age, but you can still sit outside and the coffee is good.

Personally, I don't like it here. I didn't like the cake, and the service wasn't exactly friendly. Unfortunately, that was my experience. Perhaps it was an isolated incident.

Perfect location in the middle of Gruga Park - and also the only café there. Drinks/food very expensive and not of high quality. No milk alternatives available. Vegan/vegetarian options on the menu, but very expensive and less tasty. Not a vegan cake. There is a larger selection of non-vegan cakes, but they look like frozen cakes. You could do so much more with this great location. If there was an alternative in Gruga Park, the orangery would have problems.

The place looks very old and not particularly well maintained. We only ordered from the parking lights outside one of the tents. The fries were ok, the suckling pig was absolutely inedible.

Overpriced food and drinks in a run down restaurant. This is probably only possible because it is in the Gruga.

Very nice place for families and especially for children. Food top. Service great. Ambience to relax.

Absolutely delicious meals. Everything is handmade. I had the salmon with green peppercorn sauce and a waffle with hot cherries and cream. Both were amazing and waffles were made fresh to order. We will be back!

A nice and beautiful restaurant/café in the Gruga, where you can eat and drink at a nicely set table.

The Gruga is a super beautiful park. But the park lights this year weren't nearly as nice as previous years. I was a little 🙁. If I had had to pay admission, I would have been annoyed. I think it's good that the annual pass is also valid here. I can only recommend an annual ticket.

I always think it's nice here and it's great for children too

Latte macchiato and café au lait are incredibly bad. Very sweet even without sugar. Cheap vending machine drinks and prices are therefore outrageous. Waffles too salty. Gruga gladly, but orangery never again.

We had coffee and cake there. I wanted to go to the toilet, unfortunately there are 2 large stairs downstairs that you have to go down and then up again later. Too difficult as a heart patient. The staff got to us quickly and was very friendly. You can sit well here

I ordered a cappuccino, but unfortunately it didn't taste that good. And also for the price...

Weapons were very tasty although the ice cream felt a bit older. It was well filled with food and you had to wait longer before you could order. But then everything went quickly.

Just had something to drink. The menu didn't appeal to us. We preferred to eat a bratwurst at the grill.

We were there today. It was very busy because of the program in the park. Our table was still full of trash from the previous person, which unfortunately wasn't cleared away until the end. The ice cream we ordered was OK The cheesecake was also delicious but definitely a finished product. We had to wait a little longer for our drink and then got the wrong one. Paying took forever. After we let us know, no one came for more than 10 minutes and there was no one left that we could talk to. I then went to the counter and it took at least another 10 minutes until someone noticed. All in all, I wouldn't visit again.

I've never had such a bad latte macchiato before... somehow sweet, as if it were made with instant powder and very coarse milk foam. The cake was still frozen. Tablecloths and seat cushions were full of stains.

It's always very nice in Grugapark and with a coffee in front of you, you can have a good time. The prices are a bit steep but if you can afford it, it's very pleasant.

The orangery has existed for countless years now - yes, you can see. Old, unfriendly staff and the food doesn't win any awards. On the other hand, taking a seat outside is nice when the weather is good.

It's nice to see that a company can still choose its guests. Since after 10 minutes we were still being ignored by the staff at the counter with their cell phones, we accepted the request to leave.

I really like the orangery and was once able to call it my second home. Right in front of the beautiful work of art "The Dancer" and at the "Big Adam", you can enjoy an ice cream, a shandy or a pizza. The Kurdish staff is very friendly, so "spas" and see you soon.

Excellent place to have lunch inside the Gruga park. Varied menu, courteous staff and very welcoming environment. The food was good, we weren't sure what the pasta would be like but we were satisfied. I advise.

I went there for dinner with my parents last week. I can't understand the negative reviews. The food was very tasty and fresh. The falafel was the best I've ever eaten so far. The plate was worth the money. The waiters were also very polite. I'll definitely eat there again.

Nice impression from the outside...which is immediately put into perspective from the inside.

Unfortunately the restaurant was closed at 6 p.m. even though the park is open until 8 p.m. A pity !

No special atmosphere. There is plenty of seating outside. But I don't think the drink prices are appropriate for the small volume.

Cappuccino tastes like water, unfortunately the prices here are too high for what you get. Waiter sits on the counter and doesn't try to get her butt down and serve us!!!!!
