Wanderlust in Regensburg

A small, charming restaurant. The bowls are delicious, and the ramen is quite good too. Seating is limited, so reservations are recommended. We were lucky and got a table without a reservation :) The restrooms are clean, there's a changing table easily accessible for everyone, and the staff is very friendly.

Since it was January 1st, we didn't want to be a nuisance. When we arrived in Kelheim, we called in the morning and asked if we could come at 12:15 pm to study 📚 if we ordered lunch as well as coffee and cake until late afternoon. We were told that was no problem, a table was reserved, and we drove for 30 minutes. At 12:15 pm, we ordered two cocktails, two ramen main courses, and a fruit granola bowl for two (the waiter was surprised that it was only for two people 😂). There were still plenty of tables, a good atmosphere, and the food was quite good. We received our food at 12:45 pm. At 1:05 pm, before we had finished our granola bowl, the waitress came to us and said that her boss didn't like working on laptops. When we explained that we had called ahead and been told it was fine, she went to her boss. The boss then came straight to us and told us to leave. I said, "We're leaving, everything's fine," to which she simply replied, "Fine 🙃." We could have saved ourselves the trip if someone hadn't come after 20 minutes to tell us so rudely to leave...very disappointing...

Great location, fantastic atmosphere, and the cheesecake with brownie base and caramel sauce is among the very best in Regensburg. And that's saying something!

Food that is simply the best I can imagine. For my body, because everything Wanderlust offers is absolutely packed with healthy ingredients. You can hardly eat anything better. Every meal is a powerhouse. They are sustainable in everything they do. Consistent. From the dishes to the soap dispenser. The decor is simply perfect for feeling good. Wood. Plants. Cushions. Coziness. Naturalness. Such lovely service. Genuine smiles. Attentive. And always that little something extra. The sprig of thyme and the dried orange slice in the chai tea. My favorite place.

Very student and hipster friendly, everything is vegan. What bothered me was the toilet rule: there's one toilet for women and the other is marked "everyone else".

The food was okay. They say it comes with salmon, but the salmon is almost purely decorative, very, very little. The price of drinks is outrageous... over 5 euros for water with syrup... nothing for less than 5 euros to drink.

They offer hot cocoa made with pure, unsweetened cocoa and a variety of plant-based milks to choose from. Everything has a vegan option, and the "Eggs Benedict" with tofu is highly recommended. A very nice atmosphere and super friendly staff. We brought home a free bag of compost 💚

The food was delicious and the service was friendly. If we're ever in Regensburg again, we might eat there again. I definitely recommend the winter chai; it's not too sweet and you can taste the delicious spices. On holidays, it's best to make a reservation, though; it was really busy.

It was a bit warm and humid, but the food was excellent. We were vegan and managed very well, and the staff was able to answer all our questions. The ramen was tasty but a bit boring. The red one left us very confused, but the bowl was truly perfect. The chocolate mousse was a bit small, but also wonderful for the price.

My favorite cafe in Regi, and the best food (in my opinion) is the vegan eggs Benedict. For drinks, I highly recommend the turmeric latte with maple syrup. 😍 The staff is super friendly and you just feel completely at home. 🫶🏼

The vegetarian food is delicious, the service is friendly and professional, and the atmosphere is cozy. The ability to customize your meal is fantastic, and everything is freshly prepared. The oriental spices give the food a special touch, and I highly recommend "Wanderlust." It's something truly special in the meat-heavy monotony of the restaurant scene. The price/performance ratio is okay.

This place has a hipster vibe to it. Not exactly vegetarian, but 90% of the menu is, with options to add egg or raw salmon. At a glance the food doesn't look amazing, but try it. The taste is definitely worth the price and the time you took to come over here. Location is really central but at a narrow alleyway, do take note. With the right crowd it's worth to be back.

Great. We had homemade bowls. Blueberry banana cheesecake, very tasty. We had more. Everything was delicious 😋

We were there last Saturday at lunchtime. The restaurant was completely full, and we just barely got the last table for two. The ambiance is actually very nice and tastefully decorated, but unfortunately, that's where the positives end. We initially had to wait about 15 minutes for the waitress to appear for the first time. Given the crowd, this is understandable. We ordered drinks, and I also ordered a cappuccino. Since I love coffee, I was particularly looking forward to it. When it arrived, however, I was very surprised: The cappuccino was served in a plastic cup! Honestly, recycling is a good thing, but serving coffee in a recycled plastic cup is a complete no-go for me. Any tactile and taste experience associated with a warm porcelain or ceramic cup is lost. The taste was accordingly disappointing. I therefore cannot recommend the coffee here. When the drinks arrived, we immediately ordered our food: my wife a sandwich, I a "Black Ryder." After almost exactly an hour, my wife finally received her sandwich, with the message that my meal would be coming soon. I then watched as she ate her entire meal without my Black Ryder ever being brought. The waiters seemed completely overwhelmed; I couldn't speak to them, let alone ask questions. After another three-quarters of an hour of waiting, by then hungry and very annoyed, I finally managed to speak to a waitress. I then paid and told her that she didn't need to bring me the Black Ryder again. I did get an apology, but that doesn't fill you up. Conclusion: We will never go here again. This was our first and last time. We had a very bad experience here.

Hey, I really like it here! For at least four years, I've been dragging every visitor to your cute little shop. Why? Great atmosphere, totally hip, vegan options, and simply delicious! Why only one star? If you're so vegan and hipster-oriented, you can't charge a €0.50 surcharge for vegan milk options on a €5.20 cappuccino. That clashes with what you're trying to convey. Either save the world or be a capitalist? No! Feel free to sell your expensive coffee—capitalist: yes, please. But then, for the sake of the environment, no €0.50 surcharge for oat milk and the like. I'll continue to sip my coffee here and continue to drag all my guests to you and spread the word about your five-star poached eggs by word of mouth—but it would be cool if you could save the €0.50 surcharge. Or—just a tip for the capitalists among you—simply pass the surcharge on to all "normal," non-vegan coffee drinkers. Thanks & Galigrü! If that happens, I'll gladly delete this review and give you the 5 stars you deserve.

The only drawback: there's too much good choice, making it difficult to decide. I had a homemade bowl and a chai latte with oat milk. The homemade compost is free to take away. You can also order, in a very Drinnie-friendly way, via QR code or from the friendly staff. The food was simply delicious, and the plants create a cozy atmosphere.

I've eaten here three times. The atmosphere is cozy. The ingredients are always fresh, and I've never run out of food. Restrooms are clean, and the service is always friendly. The price is always up for debate, but I think it's a good option to not have small portions; it saves you some money if you're a little peckish.

We were there with a larger group and had made a reservation in advance via Google, which was very easy. Everyone really enjoyed the food. There are many vegan options, and almost all of the sauces are now vegan. There are also options for meat and fish eaters. The portions are quite large, so the price-performance ratio is very good. The service was very friendly and always attentive. The dishes were prepared very quickly, so we hardly had to wait. We'll be happy to come back next time we're in town. We definitely recommend eating here!

Really hearty and healthy poke bowls

Das Restaurant ist recht versteckt und wir mussten tatsächlich auf dem Handy nochmals nachschauen um es zu finden. Vort Ort waren wir wir von dem Ambiente des sich in einer urigen Seitenstraße befindlichen Restaurant positiv überrascht. Die Speisem sind lecker, jedoch ein kleiner Kritikpunkt: der Name Bowl, passt eher nicht so ganz. Aufgrund des doch sehr hohen Bulguranteils, wäre die Bezeichnung eines "Bulgursalates" treffender. Allerdings sind die "Bowls" der Größe "Large" wirklich gross und zum satt werden. Einen Punkt gibt es aufgrund der Getränkeauwahl (neben Café usw) gibt es nur Wasser und selbstgemachte Limonaden, welche samt recht teuer sind. (1Liter Wasser mit etwas Himbeeren, Zitone und Minze drin für gut 10 Euro ist schon happig)

Walked in hungry, left emotionally refreshed. This place takes poke to a whole new level—like sushi and a rainbow had a perfectly balanced baby in a bowl. Freshness? Off the charts. I’m convinced the salmon made eye contact with me before diving in. So many topping options I had a mild existential crisis at the counter. Also, bonus points for vibes that scream.

We had a 2 for 1 breakfast at Wanderlust using a well-known app (it starts with “N”) and we were thrilled. The menu is really very extensive and everything, literally everything on the menu is healthy, and what we had tried so far (I had the Golden Latte and Eggs Benedict "Wanderlust") is not a given in the combination and also tastes really great. Also great for late risers: breakfast is available all day long. We still recommend making a reservation, as Wanderlust has become very popular. What else needs to be said: the ambience is also convincing here, the interiors are really beautifully designed with lots of plants (real plants, not artificial ones).
