A wonderful restaurant in the lap of nature

Today was the first time I had ordered takeaway here for a long time. 2x schnitzel with cream sauce and 1x cordon bleu. According to the telephone order, the food will be ready in 1/2 hour. Arrived on site and said I wanted to pick up my food. I noticed that the service person in the kitchen announced that the food was “there” to be picked up. I had to wait about 7.8 minutes until it was ready and I paid about €60. Unpacked and served at home with joyful anticipation. The mushroom cream sauce was more like a soup, i.e. really runny, the fried potatoes were half cooked and didn't taste like anything and the cordon bleu barely contained any cheese. We then had to finish frying the fried potatoes with onions and ham in the pan and thicken the soup. I feel like the food was prepared in my short wait. How is something like that supposed to work? I give the one star for the salad and it was the last time I was a customer there.

Well, I'm because of that I drove all the way to see the lunch menu offered on their website and then had to be told that it no longer existed.

Come hungry, leave hungry - at least that's what happened to me. The salad was extremely good and so we went to the Cordon Bleau with a lot of anticipation. Unfortunately the taste wasn't outstanding and in terms of quantity I think there was another kebab on the way back. On the other hand, there is the very good service - friendly and my friend's schnitzel plate was quickly repaired without any complaints. That's how you want it. The atmosphere is very good and quiet. Therefore 3 stars. Only the food barely made it to two. Too bad.

We stumbled across this restaurant by chance on Google on the way home and spontaneously decided to have dinner there. The ambience in the middle of the forest from one summer evening onwards was simply great. And in the cold season it's certainly nice to sit in the built-in winter garden. The food was also very tasty and was good value for money. Everything is very fresh and creative-young. Yummy! We spontaneously reserved a table again for 2 days later so that we could stop there again at the end of our vacation. Our children were very excited about the playground, which was large for a pub, right next to the beer garden. Update: A year later we are on holiday in the area again and a visit to the forestry industry is definitely planned after the positive experience we had last time. It was again very tasty and our impression from last time was confirmed. Great!

The food is quite simple schnitzel with various side dishes. The menu is manageable, it's okay to eat enough if you're expecting some fine dining, you're in the wrong place here.

Good home cooking, tastes good, but nothing more. Service was very friendly, quick and always present.

Seating inside and outside with a playground for the little ones, so you have everything under control. Food, good German cuisine. I liked it a lot and would happily go back if it wasn't so far away from me. 😃👍🍻

Very cozy restaurant with regional cuisine. Fresh and delicious, the best home cooking. Also vegetarian dishes. Service is very friendly, you can also sit outside at rustic tables under tall trees. The price level is normal, but completely reasonable. Tip!

Nice restaurant with an outdoor area. The food was very tasty, but the lunch menu only offers complete dishes. We missed “little things”. Service was great, despite company in the restaurant. If you want to go there, be sure to call ahead to see if it is open. Some are closed between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m.

Extremely nice service and excellent food. We felt very comfortable. Our grandchild Sophia remembered about the ice cream at the expense of the house next time 😀

We chose the Bärenhöhle for our son's confirmation ceremony because of its beautiful location in the forest and the cozy winter garden and we were not disappointed. Both the food and the support from the Bärenhöhle team during the celebration were very good. We felt very comfortable and would definitely like to come back.

Very nice and cozy, just in the annex, very loud and warm. The food (venison goulash with spaetzle and cranberries) was super tasty, the service was very nice and friendly.

The service was very on point, friendly and nice. I had venison goulash with spaetzle and a small salt in advance. So the spaetzle wasn't homemade from the bag. The salad isn't rocket science either. The goulash was ok. The whole thing for around €25. In my opinion, price/performance doesn't fit. My companion had wild garlic spaghetti with salmon. I understand something different by wild garlic spaghetti. It was just spaghetti cooked and then turned into wild garlic spaghetti. For me these are not wild garlic spaghetti. Wild garlic has to be included in the dough. Then cook. But the restauranteur can't do anything about it, the town of Wenden or Barsinghausen would have to turn! The road to the restaurant is terrible. Those gutters in the street are really terrible.

Very nice restaurant in a fantastic location in the middle of the forest!! Very nicely decorated!! But I often don't feel welcome as a guest...Opening hours are very short, and it's often impossible to visit after 9 p.m. in the evening. When you arrive and sit down, you are immediately asked if you have reserved (even though there is no reservation sign at the table) and you are moved...that could be better... after 2 years: it's gotten a lot better: everyone is nice and friendly and the food is delicious! Furnishings and atmosphere1+++ very nice, cozy restaurant in the Deister!!!👍🏼

The burger tastes like cheese foot, the price of the food is way too high. In addition, the waiting time is far too long. Anyone who likes food that is way too expensive and isn't even described. He can go here once. There was goat cheese on the f burger?!?!? In addition, the fried potatoes were burnt and the sour cream had no taste. Once and never again 💀

Very long waiting time, cold in the dining room, the door was always open, unfortunately disappointed with the food this time 😞! Good atmosphere, nice decoration, very cozy! There's nothing to complain about in terms of service, friendly and helpful.

For me it's always a good restaurant to stop off for hikers in the Deister.

Essen wurde leider kühl serviert und auch auch nach Nachfrage nur minimal aufgewärmt. Leider nicht sehr zufrieden gewesen :( Personal war jedoch sehr sehr freundlich.

Wir waren eine größere Gesellschaft und hatten mittags Büfett und nachmittags Kaffee und Kuchen. Das Essen war sehr gut und Extrawünsche (Vegetarisch) wurden problemlos umgesetzt. Der Service war aufmerksam und zugewandt ( Danke Maja❤️). Ein dickes Dankeschön an das gesamte Team der Bärenhöhle 👍, es war auch dank euch, ein unvergesslich schönes Fest.

Sehr schöne Location. Service war nett und freundlich. Das Essen frisch und sehr lecker. Qualität ist sehr gut, daher preislich auch gehobener. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Ein gemütliches Haus am Wald gelegen,jetzt in der kühlen Jahreszeit mit Kaminofenfeuer,die Gerichte waren schmackhaft und gut,reichlich.Nettes Personal,R rundum zufrieden sind wir.Ideale Gaststätte nach Wanderungen....oder einfach so.

Super liebe Bedienung und leckeres Essen zu gutem Preis. Bio Pils Calenberger Landbrauerei hat uns positiv überrascht. Top!

Ein schönes Restaurant in der Nähe von Wald, wo man gerne wandern kann. Das Restaurant ist sehr gemütlich und hat guten Stil. Die Speisekarte ist nicht lang, aber alles ist lecker. Die Speisen sind in elegantem Geschirr serviert. Das Personal ist freundlich und sehr nett. Am besten soll man einen Platz reservieren.

Wir haben gerade ein wunderbares Mittagessen in der Waldwirtschaft Berenhöhle genossen und waren begeistert! Dieses Restaurant, das mitten im Deister liegt, fühlt sich an wie ein Märchen. Die Atmosphäre ist einfach bezaubernd. Das Personal ist äußerst freundlich und zuvorkommend, und wir haben uns hier sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Speisen waren köstlich und mit Liebe zubereitet. Ein perfekter Ort, um dem Alltagsstress zu entkommen und eine Weile zu entspannen. Wir werden definitiv wiederkommen und die Waldwirtschaft Berenhöhle jedem empfehlen, der nach einem besonderen Ort sucht, um zu essen und zu entspannen. Vielen Dank für diese wundervolle Erfahrung!

Waren zu dritt Gestern dort essen und es hat alles gestimmt. Die 2 Damen vom Service waren sehr freundlich das empfohlene Essen war sehr lecker, keine lange Wartezeiten . RUND UM SUPER. Zum Abschied haben wir uns noch einen Bärenfurz als Andenken mitgenommen :)

Eine hübsche Gastwirtschaft am Rand des Deisters bei Kirchdorf. Das Essen war sehr gut, vor allem das Schnitzel war perfekt. Die Bedienung war super aufmerksam und freundlich. Kleiner Nachteil ist die Lage direkt an der Straße zum Nienstedter Pass, wodurch es gelegentlich lauter wurde . Wir kommen aber gerne wieder.

Wir waren als große Gruppe mit den Veranstaltern von DeinHannoverRudel in der Bärenhöhle zum Essen und Trinken. Die Waldwirtschaft ist schön gelegen und bietet viele Sitzgelegenheiten, drinnen und draußen. Ein tolles, zuvorkommendes Team und sehr appetitliche Speisen und Getränke erwarten den Gast hier. Besonders zu empfehlen sind auch die selbstgebackenen Kuchen.

Es ist sehr nett. Drinnen sowie draußen. Es gibt für Kinder auch ein Spielplatz. Leider gibt es keine extra Gerichte für Kinder. Nur deshalb 1 Punkt Abzug beim Essen.

Ich hatte einen Salatteller mit dem im Haus hergestellten und auch als "to go" angepriesenen Dressing. Der Salat war sehr verwässert und vom Dressing war nicht viel zu schmecken. Wir haben im Lokal gegessen, wo das Ambiente urig ist, allerdings auch mit entsprechendem Geräuschpegel. Die Bedienung ist freundlich.
