***** A perfect evening! We had a wonderful candlelight dinner in this restaurant. The atmosphere was wonderfully romantic - soft candlelight, elegant furnishings and the quiet surroundings created the perfect setting for a special evening. The food was a real highlight: fresh, tasteful and prepared with a lot of love. We were particularly impressed by the attentive and friendly service - the waiters were courteous but never intrusive. And best of all: the price was more than fair for this quality! We will definitely be back and can highly recommend this restaurant.

Cake and dinner were first class. Prices are not extremely expensive, but adequately justified for the quality. 4 people, coffee, cake, food, schnitzel, cheese spaetzle, 2 soups, 4 drinks, 95 €. Completely satisfied 😀

This inn is a real gem for lovers of Swabian cuisine! The dishes are not only excellently prepared, but also made from the best ingredients - the organic meat is particularly delicious. Every bite shows how much emphasis is placed on quality and taste here. Special praise goes to the owner, who puts an incredible amount of passion and commitment into making sure that every guest feels welcome. She takes the time to respond to individual requests, provides expert advice and ensures an all-round pleasant atmosphere with her warm manner. You can immediately tell that she loves her work and is passionate about it. Be it Maultaschen, onion roast beef or cheese spaetzle – everything tastes perfect here. There is also friendly, attentive service that makes the visit a real experience. If you want to enjoy Swabian cuisine at the highest level, this is the right place for you. I'll definitely be back!

Very nice location, homely atmosphere, very friendly encounters and very tasty food made from high-quality and mostly regional ingredients. The home-baked cakes are very tasty, I recommend everything 😃 again and again.

There are two eating areas - the older part with more character and the newer larger area. It was busy and we age in the latter - ok though. The food is always great and the portions are quite hefty too! Save room, though as they make their own puddings and cakes, which are famous in the area! Good food, great service - super as always.

We were looking forward to a nice Christmas dinner. Unfortunately, it was anything but that. My sister-in-law had booked. She wasn't told about a tight time slot, otherwise she wouldn't have booked. This should have been made clear. It was always spoken about by email, the reservation was also confirmed by phone. It was also early that wine alternative could have been found. The pressure was on from the start. In some cases the place setting was removed even though people were still drinking. Outside we were treated badly to calm down the following guests. It wasn't interesting that we were standing there. The management preferred to send a young waitress who couldn't cope with the situation rather than stand by her employee. I didn't feel welcome. The food was good, but not a reason for us to visit again.

Scheduling a time slot of a good hour for a Christmas dinner (without prior information!) is a good idea. There was definitely no talk of a relaxed atmosphere here. We came with 7 people, including a child, the 92-year-old grandma and visitors from Munich. Something unforeseen can happen and you don't make it to the agreed time on time. We could only “shovel in” our food. Appetizers and desserts fell by the wayside. Instead, the plates were pulled out from under our noses while we were eating and the waitress stood there constantly and put pressure on us. If they had been more flexible here, a larger row of tables would have been freed up next door and the next customers could have been seated here. Instead, the manager of the house prefers to gossip about us to the customers, “how impudent we are.” Unfortunately, I've often noticed that this is probably "good form" in this house. Absolutely unacceptable. For the price range I expect something different!!! And we will definitely not eat here again and we will definitely advise everyone not to. It's a shame, because the location and accessibility (by car/on foot) is good. The food is also good. Only the gossiping about customers, the handling, the inflexibility and the unpredictable moods of the boss are not acceptable for this price range.

Home-style Swabian, freshly cooked food. Really outstanding. My recommendation is roast roast! Good mountain beer. Prices are appropriate. Reservations recommended.

We were there spontaneously because we had a short weekend stay nearby. I wouldn't try it without a reservation :) However, we were lucky and the friendly waitress gave us a table, the food was very good 👍 I ordered a schnitzel with spaetzle 👍 👌 👍 👌 the ambience was also wonderful. I would eat there again if I'm nearby.

Unfortunately, the potato salad was a dry mush and the fries were dark chips that had been fried for far too long. The meat was good, the ravioli too. But at 250 for 7 people the quality should simply be better. We've always been happy for the last 5 years, but this was our last visit. Too bad.

Absolutely perverted fruit cake, super cool!

Anyone who would like to be despised by the staff will definitely feel very comfortable here. When we carefully asked 20 minutes after ordering a glass of wine whether she had perhaps forgotten it, the waitress told us that she had already placed the glasses at the front of the counter to pour. Lukewarm onion roast with fridge-cold spaetzle is only slightly overpriced at €34.90. Let's leave out all the other, smaller mistakes and choose a different restaurant next time without much discussion. - There are also some where the waitresses let you know that you are warmly welcomed. And then you might feel more comfortable. Or?

Everything was great! The service was very friendly and the food came very quickly. When the weather is nice, it's great to sit outside because you're essentially sitting in the forest.

Prices seem too high for the quality offered. Elsewhere there are significantly more crafts for the money. Service was not attentive. A pity.

As always, this visit was not a disappointment, quite the opposite. I've tried Saure Nierle again after being quite disappointed in the past. Here at the Distelklinge I was able to enjoy an excellent meal, and at the end there was Coup Danmark 😋😋😋

Great restaurant, right next to nature, you sit in the countryside. Food finely balanced, good portions and crisp on the table. Plus a delicious mountain beer - great!

Wir waren kürzlich zu Gast in der Distelklinge, mit dem Ziel, einen gemütlichen Abend bei leckerem Essen und Getränken dort zu verbringen Das Essen war wirklich gut! Aus dem gemütlichen Abend wurde dann leider nichts, da uns nach spontaner Ankündigung einer letzten Runde (wir waren gerade mit dem Essen fertig) gegen 20.30 Uhr um 21.00 Uhr nahegelegt wurde, zu bezahlen und das Lokal zu verlassen. "Es rechnet sich nicht, wegen 4 Gästen das Lokal geöffnet zu lassen"..... Die Türe war zum Exit bereits weit geöffnet. Dienstleistung geht anders.

Unfortunately, we were very disappointed because we weren't given a particularly friendly welcome. It was probably because we wanted to choose our table ourselves, which shouldn't be a problem given the empty restaurant. The service was short and sweet. We didn't feel any hospitality. The coffee was ok, the cake was fresh and good. However, we would not recommend the restaurant.

We arrived at 8:15 p.m. and wanted something to eat. The statement was that there were only small things left because there weren't enough guests!? My meatballs were black on the outside, lukewarm on the inside and raw in one place. The chef probably wanted to get off work quickly and didn't take the time to cook it properly and slowly. Even though I had about 90% of the food returned, there was no apology, only an justification because of the few guests!? Including a beer it cost over €20.

Really good Swabian cuisine with regional and fresh ingredients, the delicious cakes are highly recommended. The service is, as always, very friendly and helpful.

Weihnachtsessen, allerdings zu ambitionierten Preisen...

Hervorragende Küche, nette Kulisse und tolle Gastgeber.

Wir waren seit langem mal wieder dort zum Essen, wir hatten bis dato auch nichts auszusetzen doch was uns an diesem Sonntag passiert ist geht gar nicht. Ich hatte mir einen Rostbraten bestellt und meine Frau einen Rehrücken. Das Essen kam und das Unheil nahm seinen lauf. Der Rostbraten war viel zu dünn um als Rostbraten durchzugehen er war zudem zäh und die Dinkelspätzle dazu lauwarm und zum Schluss hin kalt, das ging so weit das ich den Rostbraten nicht ganz gegessen habe er war dann auch noch zum Ende hin kalt. Der Rehrücken war zum teil noch roh also nicht einmal medium auch hier die Dinkelspätzle ab Mitte des Essens kalt. Wir haben uns dann noch für einen Espresso entschieden. Als die Bedienung kam hab ich das auch angesprochen mit dem Essen, darauf hin hat Sie uns die zwei Espresso nicht berechnet. Was ich noch dazu sagen muss wir waren nicht die einzigen die sich über das Essen beschwert haben. Wenn ich mir überlege was mich das ganze Essen gekostet daran darf ich gar nicht denken.

Nice traditional food can be found in this place. They have a variety of food options in vegan and meat products... Unfortunately they are missing to serve chicken, but otherwise their home made desserts are the biggest fact to accept and it keeps your taste buds engaged.

Essen war toll und super Personal

Ein sehr schönes uriges Restaurant. Lecker Essen und toller Service. Wir waren insgesamt 7 Personen und waren zum Abendessen dort. Am Eingang standen wunderschöne Kuchen und Torten im Kühlschrank, die hätte ich am liebsten auch noch gegessen 😄.

Schwäbischer Zwiebelrostbraten mit Spätzle (selbstgemacht) und Sosse mit Salatteller eben war toll! Sonntags besser vorreservieren - oft Feiern - hatte Glück! Tipp: Momentan immer freitags herbstliche Schlachtplatten. Der Biergarten draussen ist schon zu.

Schöne Gaststätte in Top Lage. Allerdings unterschiedliche Portionsgröße beim Rostbraten zudem ein sehr kleiner Beilagensalat ohne Kartoffelsalat. Für 30€ der Rostbraten sollten zum einen alle Portionen ähnlich groß sein und nicht ein Gericht Innen komplett Roh. Bei dem Preis muss die Leistung und die Portionsgröße passen, was leider dieses mal nicht der Fall war.

Wunderschöner Garten, super Essen, alles bestens.

Wir sind im Biergarten gewesen, dieser war bzw. ist sehr angenehm gestaltet da nicht alle Tische aufeinander stehen und teilweise durch gepflegte Hecken getrennt sind. Die Distelklinge liegt etwas außerhalb von Bonlanden direkt am Waldrand, Wanderparkplatz inklusive. Bietet dich also auch an hier zum Abschluss einer schönen Wanderung einzugehen. Innenbereich sah gepflegt, aber eben such nicht besonders modern aus. Einer Waldschänke aber sicherlich entsprechend. Die Speisekarte ist recht überschaubar und besonders der vegetarische Gast hat mit 2 Gerichten nicht viel Auswahl. Gefunden hat trotzdem jeder was und war auch zufrieden. Der zum Essen mitgelieferte Salat war etwas lieblos und bestand hauptsächlich aus Blattsalat. Da hätte ich mir für so eine Waldschänke noch z.B. einen Klecks Kartofellsalat gewünscht, der ja auch auf der Karte steht. Preislich alles im Rahmen, der Zwiebelrostbraten mit Bratkartoffeln hat sich da preislich recht stark abgehoben. Dieser war OK, die Bratksrtoffeln fand ich etwas trocken, da hätte ich mir noch ein bisschen Speck und Pertersillie gewünscht. Alles in allem aber alles OK, kehren wir bestimmt mal wieder ein wenn sich die Gelegenheit dazu ergibt.

Was ist mit der Distelklinge passiert? Seit vielen Jahren besucht unsere Familie und auch Freunde die Distelklinge. Wir haben einige Feiern hier gemacht sind oft nach Spaziergängen zu Kaffee und Kuchen da gewesen und auch immer wieder mal zum Essen. Wir waren immer zufrieden. Nun mussten wir heute einen bösen Flop erleben. Die Bedienung war derart muffig, dass wir am liebsten wieder gegangen wären. Wir haben uns durch die Dame total unerwünscht gefühlt. Sie wusste, dass wir heute Geburtstag feiern. Keine Freundlichkeit, keine Gratulation. Habe telefonisch um zwei Kerzen gebeten, aber gesagt, wenn es problematisch wäre, könne ich welche mitbringen. Nein, das ginge in Ordnung. Als wir kamen wurden wir schon ruppig an unseren Tisch geschickt, der genauso aussah, wie alle Tische. Nach einer Weile kam besagte Bedienung, knallte noch eine Kerze auf den Tisch und blöffte: sie wollten zwei Kerzen? Dass sie uns für diesen Frevel nicht noch eine herunter gehauen hat, war ein Glück. Einer der Geburtstagsgäste fragte (nur aus Interesse), ob es hier auch Abendessen gäbe. Er wurde angekeift: "sie haben aber nur für Kaffee reserviert!" So gab es mehrere Vorfälle und wir fühlten uns nur noch unwohl. Der bisher immer sehr leckere Kuchen hat nachgelassen. Die Äpfel im Apfelkuchen schmeckten roh und er war nicht so saftig, wie früher. Der Rüblikuchen hatte kaum Karotten drin und schmeckte auch überhaupt nicht danach. Es hatte eine fette, total übersüßte Buttercreme intus und schmeckte nur nach Zucker. Der Käsekuchen war früher ganz locker und fluffig. Heute war es ein langweiliger 0815 Käsekuchen, der zu fest war. Alles in allem werden wir in Zukunft woanders einkehren, was schade ist. Wir sind immer sehr gerne gekommen. Aber so eine Behandlung muss man sich ja nicht bieten lassen. Update: Auch nach Monaten keine Antwort und keine Entschuldigung vom Betreiber. Also auch keine zweite Chance!

Schönes gemütliches Lokal. Essen super, Bedienung sehr freundlich... passt alles!

Unsere Familienfeier mit 20 Gästen war ei sehr schöner Event auf der Terrasse um Schatten. Sekt, Kaffee und der berühmte Kuchen zum Auftakt. Später das Schwäbische Büffet, reichlich und gut. Dazu der aufmerksame Service von Kamal und seinen Kolleginnen. Sehr zu empfehlen!

Sehr schöner kleiner Biergarten, super Service

The atmosphere in this beer garden on the edge of the forest is clearly the winner. Sitting outside close to the cooling forest in the nicely decorated garden is a great experience. The service is pleasant, efficient and fast - with a personal touch. The food however was not up to my expectations. I ordered the Swiss sausage salad with roast potatoes. While the latter were quite tasty and generously portioned, the main dish was an utter disappointment. The portion itself was way too small, and the cheese was hard and tasteless. With such a simple and traditional local dish, everything depends on the quality of the key ingredients. Here, it was clearly decided to go for cheap and low quality cheese in order to maximize the margin of the dish for the restaurant. This dish is a Swabian classic, and there are numerous other local Swabian restaurants in the area offering the very same dish in much better quality - and even at a lower price. Thus, while the venue and service was enjoyable, the main "event" did disappoint a lot. Thus, I can only award an average score. Maybe skip the dinner and try their "coffee & cake" in the afternoon instead? This way, you can enjoy the "Distelklinge" garden atmosphere, but you don't have to deal with local dishes on the dinner menu that unfortunately fail to deliver.

Wirtschaft am Rand von Filderstadt-Plattenhardt direkt am Wald. Viele, ruhige Sitzplätze im Freien. Das Essen ist bürgerlich und gut. Die Kuchen und Torten sind alle selbst gemacht und schmecken hervorragend. Die Chefin ist Konditorin. Am Wochenende ist die Wirtschaft gut besucht. Dann kann die immer freundliche Bedienung auch mal ein klein wenig länger dauern.

Leckeres Restaurant mit sehr gutem Essen, leckeren selbst gemachte Kuchen, einem super schönen Außenbereich und nettem Personal.

Zwei mal SchniPo mit Salat, zwei Mal Rostbraten. Rostbraten war gut, medium wie bestellt. Die Pommes waren auch gut, der Beilagensalat auch. Die Schnitzel waren etwas ölig und die verbrannte Pannade der Vorgängerschnitzel in der Pfanne war auf den Schnitzeln nicht zu übersehen. Schade, da wäre mehr möglich gewesen.

Spontan eingekehrt nach einer Wanderung. Frischen Marktsalat mit Pute. Sehr gutes Dressing auf einem reichhaltigen Salat mit saftiger Pute. Reichhaltige Speisekarte mit vegetarischer und sogar Veganer Kost. Ich hatte allerdings leckere Nieren mit Bratkartoffeln. Hätte drin Baden können.

Leckere gutbürgerliche Küche, immer alles frisch zubereitet, aufmerksamer Service. Wir kommen regelmäßig. Bei größeren Gruppen sollte man reservieren. Gutes Hygienekonzept (im Gegensatz zu Anderen!). Das Essen war jedes Mal sehr lecker, egal ob Gerichte von der Saisonkarte oder der normalen Karte. Wer wert auf hochwertige gutbürgerlichen Küche legt, ist hier sehr gut aufgehoben. Im Sommer ist der Biergarten ein Traum!
