Waldhotel Forsthaus Hainholz in Pritzwalk

A few weeks ago, we stopped for lunch at the Waldhotel, which had been recommended to us, while passing through, and we were not disappointed. The food was delicious and the service excellent. The hotel is idyllically situated in the forest.

We booked a table for two for lunch and had a great window seat reserved. The service was quick and friendly. The food (one roast pork and one venison) was delicious, and the portions were just the right size. I found the prices particularly reasonable for a hotel restaurant in such a wonderful location. The surrounding area also invites you to take a lovely stroll to help you digest. Overall, we had a great time and will definitely be back!

I ate at your restaurant with my family, and we were very disappointed. There's no children's menu, the selection is poor, and the presentation and taste of the dishes leave a lot to be desired. It's a real shame what has become of this once-good restaurant.

The staff is super friendly and attentive. The food wasn't that tasty, but that's my taste. What I found particularly negative, however, was that there is no wheelchair-accessible entrance to the hotel, and even the restrooms were down stairs. That was quite difficult with my mom. But otherwise, it was truly idyllic.

Friendly, clean, delicious, we were very satisfied 😊.

Beautifully situated in the forest. I didn't stay overnight, but I was there for a celebration. The service and food were excellent.

This hotel is worth every star. We attended a wedding at this hotel. The staff was very dedicated, polite, helpful, and friendly. Our special food request was accommodated immediately. The breakfast was a buffet with everything you could want for. The rooms are beautifully bright, clean, and spacious. The Wi-Fi worked reliably. The hotel is very quietly located in the forest, but not remote.

The food is plentiful. The service is excellent. I think the dishes used to taste tastier. The location is great.

On the return journey from Berlin back to the north we came across this hotel/restaurant. It is a bit out of the way, idyllic in the forest. Very nice to look at from the outside. Parking spaces right in front of the door. Everything in the restaurant is lovingly furnished, cozy and clean. The map is clear but plentiful. It's great that you work with hunters and farmers from the region. We chose wild. The red cabbage was homemade and simply delicious with the dumplings. I can't say anything about the rooms. Conclusion: we'll be back, maybe overnight.

We always like to stop here on the way north. Friendly staff, very good food. The motorhome parking space has become quieter because the police are checking. The young people had previously made a lot of noise at night.

Quiet place to relax. In the summer with the trees around it is definitely just great. We stayed there relatively spontaneously for 1 night. From reservation to checkout... everything was great! We enjoyed a delicious dinner (recommendation for roast venison and solyanka as well as seasoned deer meat). Since we were the only guests that night, there was a breakfast table for us. I thought it was great that despite the large selection there wasn't that much on the plates. Quark with fruit, homemade lard, Mett... everything was great, even in quantity 👍 Room with a balcony and a view of the hotel garden from which we could also see the sunset. Everything clean and tidy. Clear recommendation

We celebrated our wedding in this beautiful hotel in the summer. Everything was great. Even our most critical guests said "The kitchen is great". Everything was perfectly prepared for us, whether it was the barbecue the day before the wedding or the wedding itself. Many thanks again to the entire team. 🤗

We absolutely loved our stay! Check-in was extremely friendly and uncomplicated. A highlight was the cozy nightcap at the bar, which took place in a very pleasant atmosphere. The breakfast was magical – delicious and prepared with great attention to detail. The room was also spotlessly clean and very comfortable. I can only warmly recommend this hotel and am already looking forward to my next visit!

Very quiet location. Big room. Wi-Fi in the room needs improvement.

Great facility, beautifully maintained beds, large terrace and plenty of parking spaces. The menu was ok, although there were only a few dishes (3 pages, including 1 page with two starter soups), but there were 6 pages with drinks. The ambience is upscale and the staff is attentive. The only point of criticism, however, is that none of us (a larger group) were completely satisfied with our food. The portion sizes were great, but some of the asparagus and potatoes were still quite firm or raw and could have stayed in the pot a little longer. However, my chicken breast was fried almost to death... very dark, firm and therefore a bit dry. The tagliatelle with the pesto tasted good, but was also very dry. It's a shame, because visually it looked really tasty. Despite everything, I can recommend the Hainholz restaurant.

Great location, in the middle of the forest. Just awesome There is a great outdoor forest swimming pool 200m away. Everything was great Will come again!

Just beautiful. Inside and outside. Kitchen excellent. Staff very friendly and accommodating. We were thrilled and will definitely come back. Thank you again.

My girlfriend and I wanted to go out for dinner this evening, but unfortunately there was no staff at the reception. Only personal conversations could be heard from a back room and so we unfortunately left after about 10 minutes without eating because no staff felt responsible.

The whole package is right. Anyone who wants to slow down in peace and quiet is well accommodated here.

I have known Hainholz since I was 9 years old. It's worth a trip.Super clean, friendly staff. You can't complain. I would make any trip to Hainholz Pritzwalk.

A very nice, cozy, quietly located and quiet hotel north of Pritzwalk, in the middle of the forest. Rich breakfast buffet in the morning, large selection from the menu with regional meat and vegetarian dishes. Friendly, attentive staff. This hotel with restaurant is perfect for a break in Prignitz.

Nice hotel in a quiet location, clean rooms, unfortunately the restaurant was closed. But there was breakfast and it was good and plentiful.

Very well maintained hotel, large room, great breakfast. There are still real flowers on every table here. The dinner was very tasty. Mostly from regional suppliers and some also organic.

Wir waren mit einer Gesellschaft dort. Die Bedienung war zwar freundlich aber sehr unaufmerksam. Es war deutlich zu sehen, dass nachgebracht werden müsste, ob Essen oder Getränke, die Dame am Tresen war intensiv damit beschäftigt, Bier falsch zu zapfen, und zu quatschen anstatt mal bei der Bedienung zu unterstützen. Das Essen kam kalt auf den Tisch. Die Vorsuppe schmeckte auch nach nicht selbst gemacht, bei der Soße hatte man einen ähnlichen Eindruck. Rosenkohl war seehhr bissfest. Aber wie schon erwähnt, leider kalt. Ich denke, bei so einer kleinen Gesellschaft von 20 Leuten darf so was in einem Lokal wie dem Forsthaus nicht passieren

Absolut super. Ruhige Lage, tolles Zimmer, nette Bedienung. Ich war auf der Durchreise dort. Gegenüber gibt es Wohnmobilstellplätze, der Parkplatz ist so gross das man dort bequem mit einem LKW parken kann. Schade war das es kein Abendessen gab, da dort wohl auch aus Personalmangel an einigen Tagen kein Koch verfügbar ist. Die Karte hörte sich jedenfalls super an.

Schön im Wald gelegen. Essen ist gut und der Service könnte etwas blickiger sein, was leere Gläser angeht. Ansonsten im ganzen nett und höfflich.

Immer wieder sehr schön...ich kann das Hotel nur empfehlen.... wir kommen schon seit Jahren mit unseren Hunden ....und sind wie immer super zufrieden ....auch ein Besitzerwechsel hat , an dem das wir uns dort sehr wohl fühlen nichts geändert ....super nettes Personal immer bemüht und sehr sehr hilfsbereit....und ein großes Lob an die Küche....macht bitte weiter so....bis zum nächsten mal

Super Lage!!! Für ein Gläschen Wein oder einem Kaffee nach einem Sonntagsspaziergang... Speisekarte ist leider nicht mehr so ansprechend nach Besitzerwechsel! Sollte wieder etwas Forsthaus- Charme bekommen, deutsche Küche, rustikal aber nicht dieser Schnickschnack!!! Allerdings trotzdem 4 Sterne 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 wegen der so perfekten Lage

Das Waldhotel ist das Haus unserer Familie . Schon unsere Eltern waren zum Ausflug mit uns dort. Je nach Geldlage gab es eine Brause oder eine Waffel mit Puderzucker . Sowas prägt sich ein in ein Kinderkopf . Schon die Anreise mit dem Zug und dem Fahrrad eine spannendes Erlebnis. Alles 70 Jahre her . Die Pächter des Hotels haben über die Jahre gewechselt . Immer wieder gab es andere Eindrücke und Erlenisse . - Aber unsere Treue hält - . 1971 haben wir dort die Hochzeit gefeiert . 2021 mit Gold verfestigt und die Planung geht weiter . Auch dieses Jahr gingen wir wie immer auch am 52 . Hochzeitstag zum Abendessen in den Hainholz .Das erfolgt jährlich wenn nichts dazwischen kommt .Meine Frau und ich wir lieben Hamburger Schnitzel mit Bratkartoffeln . Ergebniss 2023 : Ein Traum , zuerst fürs Auge , dann für die Zunge , der Magen war begeistert und es gab Streicheleinheiten für die Seele . Wir freuen uns auf weitere spannende Esserlebnisse . Sehr gutes Essen. Das Buffet war reichlich und interessant angerichtet. Personal freundlich und aufmerksam. Es war ein sehr schöner Abend.

Wir haben das Hotel für 1 Zwischen-Übernachtung gebucht. Zimmer war sauber und absolut ok für einen kurzen Aufenthalt. Es gibt auch noch Zimmer mit einem Balkon, wir hatten aber keinen. Das Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis stimmt. Das Hotel verfügt über ein Restaurant. Das Essen war lecker, ausreichend, aber auch im etwas höheren Preissegment.

Der Standort ist schön. Aber das Essen hat mir persönlich jetzt nicht so gemundet aber so was ist ja auch Geschmackssache. Ansonsten war die Bedienung freundlich.

Ein wirklich schönes Ambiente für die Familie oder zu zweit sehr leckeres Essen Preis war angemessen Personal höflich und zuvorkommend alles in allem sehr zu empfehlen wir waren jetzt drei Mal hier und werden wieder kommen
