I didnt like It at all, the food could be better, the service its on you, you get your drink and cutleries, and do the payment before eat...🤷🤷 Never seen anything like that... They just bring you the food on the table, not even ask how IS everything going on the table...

We felt comfortable. The food for 13 people was freshly prepared and served simultaneously. Afterward, there was a bit less staff available because another event was running concurrently. We had planned for the time. No problem for us.

Beautifully located beer garden and restaurant. The menu selection is huge. They even offer daily specials. I found the food very tasty. The service is fast, friendly, and attentive. There is ample parking. One star deducted because the restrooms are in the basement. Inaccessible for walkers and wheelchair users; it might be very difficult to get around the outside through the parking lot when the door is unlocked.

Everything is perfectly organized, from the initial drinks order to the food order at the kiosk at the front. Of course, there's also an area where you can order à la carte at your table, just like anywhere else. I'm very impressed by the enthusiastic staff. You can really feel the joy these guys bring to their work. Yes, I can definitely recommend it. We all enjoyed the food... nothing to complain about... ice cream, hot meals, and various other dishes all received praise. So, we'll be back next time... thanks to the crew.

Our food and drinks arrived super quickly. The service was friendly and prompt. The side salad was colorful and highly recommended. Lunch was delicious. We sat in the beer garden by the edge of the forest. We'd be happy to come back.

The food was delicious and reasonably priced. Reservations are recommended, as it gets quite busy. The staff are extremely cheerful and put you in a good mood.

The food was okay at best. The grilled pork knuckle was unfortunately very tough, the spaetzle wasn't homemade and they weren't even good ones bought, and the same with the burger patties. The burger bun was good but soggy. The Jägerschnitzel wasn't breaded. The cordon bleu was very greasy, gray, and a bit small for €20. There are no side salads. Those who sit outside have to order at the kiosk, bring drinks, and have the food brought to them. The location is great, though. If it were about having something to drink during the hike, it would give it 5 stars.

A beautiful setting in the middle of the forest. If you're sensitive or allergic, this is the wrong place for you! For example, if you don't want anchovies or lemon as garnish or something similar on your schnitzel, or applesauce with your Kaiserschmarrn...or without raisins...then your request won't be considered/fulfilled...because the kitchen doesn't have time for special requests...

Very expensive beer garden. Had a cordon bleu there. The meat was cheap, with a lot of fat, and the meat wasn't cooked through. One of the worst cordon bleu I've ever had. They were out of fries. Where are the fries? There was no discount, despite the lack of fries. The cashier couldn't care less. The card reader was completely clogged with filth. Not for a while.

So far, the food has always been delicious. The only criticism I could have is that the bifteki is listed with Emmental cheese instead of feta 😮🫣, so I haven't ordered it yet. And the salad dressing is a bit light on seasoning; it felt like it was just vinegar, with no oil, herbs, salt, or pepper.

Well... unfortunately, I have very little good to say. The atmosphere would certainly have been quite nice if the restaurant had a good ventilation system, or if it had been running. As it was, you were sitting in the smell of frying, which gets really unpleasant after a while. (And before I get into any clever remarks, it smelled like that even before you ordered.) But it also had a certain 90s nostalgia factor, only without cigarettes. The service was quite nice, but definitely a bit "too much" - a little fun is okay, but at some point it's enough. Now for the food... I was looking forward to an antipasti platter. It would have been quite tasty even if they had left out the balsamic vinegar. So if you miss the early 2000s, you're well served... (It wasn't on the menu, otherwise I would have ordered it without it). For the main course, we had fish with remoulade and potato salad. And here I have to clearly disagree with the critics. The potato salad was certainly not a ready-made meal – unless the resourceful kitchen staff had spiced it up with blanched potatoes. In any case, you had to bite into some of it, a very interesting creation. I skipped dessert, but you can't really go wrong with ice cream and the like. 😊

The lunch menu offers excellent value for money. Unfortunately, the service was very slow. It took over an hour and a half from ordering to paying. Not ideal for a lunch break.

A very old restaurant with a long tradition that has always adapted well to the times and is up to date. My steak was absolutely delicious. Unfortunately, the cordon bleu my father ate ended up being a bit dry. However, everything else was to our complete satisfaction. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. And our seating was also very good.

We ate there with the family today. Unfortunately, the food arrived cold. But the service was really good. They were fast and friendly. There's also one important criticism that needs to be addressed. The playground is an absolute no-go! Three trampolines, one of which has a missing floor, the second has broken springs, and the third was okay but not entirely safe. When you walk in, the old play equipment is lying at the entrance, which looks like something from Hempels under the sofa. They should think about whether something can be done about that. It's just a shame; up there it's perfect for children to play in the shade in the summer.

It's always nice to take a break here after a walk. There's a huge outdoor area, and almost all of the seats are shaded, so you can sit comfortably even on sunny days.

It's a shame, the food wasn't particularly appealing, even visually. Unfortunately, the taste wasn't great either. We had steak, fish, and Wiener schnitzel with various side dishes, and the fries were the best. The dessert didn't make it any better, which is a shame considering it's a great beer garden.

I've eaten there three times so far and both times it was top-notch. I must say, the organization was excellent, with so many guests, everything was served quickly and everything was always in view... respect...

We went there today for lunch in the outdoor area. Since there's a lot of pollen floating around outside at the moment, we asked for the cutlery that was already on the table to be replaced because the pollen was already visible on it. A waiter took the cutlery and wiped it with the used rag that's used to clean all the tables. How disgusting is that? We then went to get new cutlery ourselves. The vegetable plate was swimming in oil, and the schnitzel had the consistency of dog food. Absolutely outrageous. The waitress didn't even thank us for the tip! The wait for the food was an hour. Never again.

The food was very good, but we had some difficulties with our orders and the food that was ultimately served. Some of the service staff were very dedicated, while others were absolutely abysmal. At least we were compensated with two espressos on the house.

The service and food were top-notch, even though we didn't have a reservation and it was really busy today, May 18, 2025, around 1:30 p.m. The food was served quickly despite the crowds. It's also worth mentioning that there's a very good selection of vegetarian and vegan dishes.

Catastrophe!! First, the kitchen closed for 40 minutes at 5:00 PM because it was too crowded (max. 70% of the seats were occupied). Then I wanted to order my meal and was told that three dishes – roast beef, rump steak, and Jägerschnitzel – were out. On a Sunday at 5:30 PM. Last time. Regarding the owner's response, I would like to clarify: The snapshot that really annoyed me in this situation has nothing to do with the owner's good nature towards his employees. Serving a wedding party à la carte on Mother's Day while largely ignoring the (not overcrowded) beer garden has, in my opinion, nothing to do with humane treatment of the staff – but rather with simply poor planning. Nothing more, nothing less.

Nice location, great service. When it's full in good weather, there's a wait. My review is primarily based on the Aperol served in a water glass (see photo). There's definitely room for improvement. All in all, a good beer garden in the summer.

⭐ 1 out of 5 stars Unfortunately, a big disappointment – ​​and on such an important day. We had personally reserved a table for my mother's 87th birthday, including decorations and desired seating. On the day of the celebration: No reservation, no preparation, no idea. And even worse: no apology from the managing director, just an arrogant dismissal according to the motto “mistakes happen”. Even when we showed proof of the reservation, no responsibility was taken or redress was offered. In the end we not only felt ignored, but also treated disrespectfully. I have never experienced anything like this - and from the owner himself. We've been there several times in the past - but after this experience it's clear: never again.

My goodness, it was crowded (and loud). But the great service, the ambience and the good food more than make up for it.

I can imagine that it's really nice outside in summer because there's a lot of space and there's a playground with a trampoline. The food was really nicely presented and there was a great selection of food and drinks. There was also a large selection of cakes. The waiters were all super nice. The toilets were clean.

We were visiting the Jägerhaus from North Rhine-Westphalia today and were absolutely thrilled. The service is friendly and courteous, the food is excellent (we recommend “Heilbronn’s favorite dish”) and the dessert rounded off the visit perfectly. The ambience is as expected and well maintained. We decided to visit the Jägerhaus again before we left.

We had booked a table for 2 p.m. At 1:30 p.m. we called and said we would be late. Unfortunately, our reserved table was no longer available at 2:20 p.m. and we didn't get a seat. With 3 small children on the holiday, it was difficult to quickly find an alternative to food.

The food was good and plentiful. But the playground is a danger for children! Almost all of the play equipment is broken! There are also old iron bars sticking out of the ground

We often come here to celebrate birthdays and have always been very satisfied. Because of this we have reserved a table for today. We travel from further away with three small children only to be told at the destination that the RESERVED table is still occupied and we don't know when it will be free. The end, disappointed and hungry children.

Update: Went there again today and the asparagus soup was an absolute disaster. Just mixed together powder with lumps. Half of the salad plate with turkey strips was missing. For an 18 euro salad, it's an absolute disgrace. No structure in the staff. Staff constantly mix up tables. Food was very seasonless. Sauce tasted like instant. Quantities differ from reality. Toilet very dirty.

Later in the evening, we didn't want to eat anything bigger, out of 5 people, 3 ordered the salad plate, horrible! Everything was just shredded and not a lettuce leaf was visible. A bit of potato salad was buried somewhere. Not recommended at all.

Unfortunately, the quality of the food deteriorated the last two times I was there. A few days ago we spontaneously went to the Jägerhaus with friends. A salad plate and a Wiener Schnitzel were ordered. Salad plate was subpar. Almost no whole lettuce leaf on the plate, just shreds. Lots of chopped raw food instead. Overall not tasty and not visually appealing. There were times when I celebrated the salad plate prepared with love. Unfortunately, that is a thing of the past. Attached is a photo of the salad, which everyone at our table looked like. The veal Viennese schnitzel was completely overcooked and more than wafer-thin. After baking, not blotted and with a puddle of fat on meat. The oil was also floating on the plate. Very disappointing in terms of taste. It's a shame, we always enjoyed being there, especially since the boss is a real doer. But when the kitchen staff has a bad day, things get critical.

I was there again today, but unfortunately I don't like Heilbronn's favorite dish. 2 pieces of meat, with a bit of spaetzle, 1 Maultaschen and maybe 5 Schlupfnudeln for 23 euros, unfortunately I don't find anything special and expensive for the taste. We go to Trappensee again.

The food is always good and tasty!

Uniquely located restaurant above the rooftops of Heilbronn. The service staff is very accommodating, all dishes were excellent. The size of the portions and the quality are perfect here! There are great wines on top! There is a nice playground for the children and after dinner you can take a walk in the Heilbronn Forest. There are enough parking spaces available.

Warm food is served throughout the hunter's house and dogs are welcome. In summer there is a very large beer garden available. There is plenty of parking space. The staff is friendly and quick, but the boss is very rude, cheeky and his behavior is damaging to business. The food was mediocre, not particularly tasty. The restaurant and the adjoining room where our seminar took place were fresh to cold. The women's toilet was very dirty and one cubicle could not be used because it was dirty. The basement smells unpleasantly of toilet stones and toilets. For me, the Jägerhaus is not a place to which I retreat.

We had class reunions with 20 people. Had a table where it was easy to talk. The food was served quickly so that we could all eat together. Everyone enjoyed it, everyone was happy. I ordered my roast medium rare and it came out perfect. We will come again. Price/performance was ok.

Even though it was very busy we had great service, the food also tasted very good, we would love to come back. Very nice excursion restaurant, with great hiking trails.

Dogs ran around freely in the restaurant and begged at the tables. Some of the chairs had small dogs. Starters were brought at different times or even after the main course. When asked, the answer was always OK and the service staff left again.
