Super organized! Great food, and the playground is being renovated!

Nice location, great service. When it's full in good weather, there's a wait. My review is primarily based on the Aperol served in a water glass (see photo). There's definitely room for improvement. All in all, a good beer garden in the summer.

Disaster!!. First the kitchen was closed for 40 minutes at 5 p.m. because it was too full (max. 70% of the chairs were occupied). Afterwards I wanted to order my dish and it said that 3 dishes were roast beef, rump steak and Jägerschnitzel. Sundays at 5:30 p.m. Last time.

⭐ 1 out of 5 stars Unfortunately, a big disappointment – ​​and on such an important day. We had personally reserved a table for my mother's 87th birthday, including decorations and desired seating. On the day of the celebration: No reservation, no preparation, no idea. And even worse: no apology from the managing director, just an arrogant dismissal according to the motto “mistakes happen”. Even when we showed proof of the reservation, no responsibility was taken or redress was offered. In the end we not only felt ignored, but also treated disrespectfully. I have never experienced anything like this - and from the owner himself. We've been there several times in the past - but after this experience it's clear: never again.

Very loud service could sometimes be friendlier

My goodness, it was crowded (and loud). But the great service, the ambience and the good food more than make up for it.

The atmosphere in the Jägerhaus is really nice and offers a lot of space. I can imagine that it's really nice outside in summer because there's a lot of space and there's a playground with a trampoline. The food was really nicely presented and there was a great selection of food and drinks. There was also a large selection of cakes. The waiters were all super nice. The toilets were clean.

We were visiting the Jägerhaus from North Rhine-Westphalia today and were absolutely thrilled. The service is friendly and courteous, the food is excellent (we recommend “Heilbronn’s favorite dish”) and the dessert rounded off the visit perfectly. The ambience is as expected and well maintained. We decided to visit the Jägerhaus again before we left.

We had booked a table for 2 p.m. At 1:30 p.m. we called and said we would be late. Unfortunately, our reserved table was no longer available at 2:20 p.m. and we didn't get a seat. With 3 small children on the holiday, it was difficult to quickly find an alternative to food.

The food was good and plentiful. But the playground is a danger for children! Almost all of the play equipment is broken! There are also old iron bars sticking out of the ground

We often come here to celebrate birthdays and have always been very satisfied. Because of this we have reserved a table for today. We travel from further away with three small children only to be told at the destination that the RESERVED table is still occupied and we don't know when it will be free. The end, disappointed and hungry children.

Update: Went there again today and the asparagus soup was an absolute disaster. Just mixed together powder with lumps. Half of the salad plate with turkey strips was missing. For an 18 euro salad, it's an absolute disgrace. No structure in the staff. Staff constantly mix up tables. Food was very seasonless. Sauce tasted like instant. Quantities differ from reality. Toilet very dirty.

We have often and always enjoyed eating here - whether in the beer garden or restaurant. But that was probably the last time this time...The salad plates we ordered really shouldn't be described as such. An indefinable bunch. To make matters worse, I also found fries in the salad, even though no one at the table was eating fries. When I asked the waitress about it, there wasn't even an apology. Well... good food and good service - that's definitely different

Unfortunately, the quality of the food deteriorated the last two times I was there. A few days ago we spontaneously went to the Jägerhaus with friends. A salad plate and a Wiener Schnitzel were ordered. Salad plate was subpar. Almost no whole lettuce leaf on the plate, just shreds. Lots of chopped raw food instead. Overall not tasty and not visually appealing. There were times when I celebrated the salad plate prepared with love. Unfortunately, that is a thing of the past. Attached is a photo of the salad, which everyone at our table looked like. The veal Viennese schnitzel was completely overcooked and more than wafer-thin. After baking, not blotted and with a puddle of fat on meat. The oil was also floating on the plate. Very disappointing in terms of taste. It's a shame, we always enjoyed being there, especially since the boss is a real doer. But when the kitchen staff has a bad day, things get critical.

Later in the evening, we didn't want to eat anything bigger, out of 5 people, 3 ordered the salad plate, horrible! Everything was just shredded and not a lettuce leaf was visible. A bit of potato salad was buried somewhere. Not recommended at all.

Super tasty food, very good service and very friendly staff. Definitely recommended! We've celebrated several parties there and everything has always gone great.

I was there again today, but unfortunately I don't like Heilbronn's favorite dish. 2 pieces of meat, with a bit of spaetzle, 1 Maultaschen and maybe 5 Schlupfnudeln for 23 euros, unfortunately I don't find anything special and expensive for the taste. We go to Trappensee again.

The food is always good and tasty!

Uniquely located restaurant above the rooftops of Heilbronn. The service staff is very accommodating, all dishes were excellent. The size of the portions and the quality are perfect here! There are great wines on top! There is a nice playground for the children and after dinner you can take a walk in the Heilbronn Forest. There are enough parking spaces available.

I ate zander fillet and got bad stomach problems. Even after calling, no help. Sad.

Tastes delicious, service is great. You never have to wait long, neither for drinks nor for food.

The spatzle wasn't made the same

Warm food is served throughout the hunter's house and dogs are welcome. In summer there is a very large beer garden available. There is plenty of parking space. The staff is friendly and quick, but the boss is very rude, cheeky and his behavior is damaging to business. The food was mediocre, not particularly tasty. The restaurant and the adjoining room where our seminar took place were fresh to cold. The women's toilet was very dirty and one cubicle could not be used because it was dirty. The basement smells unpleasantly of toilet stones and toilets. For me, the Jägerhaus is not a place to which I retreat.

I can only recommend this restaurant! Great selection of food and drinks. Nice and attentive waitresses. Moderate prices. A little tip... Less is often more... for me artificial flowers are not the be-all and end-all... 1 fresh flower often works better. But otherwise: thumbs up!

We had class reunions with 20 people. Had a table where it was easy to talk. The food was served quickly so that we could all eat together. Everyone enjoyed it, everyone was happy. I ordered my roast medium rare and it came out perfect. We will come again. Price/performance was ok.

Even though it was very busy we had great service, the food also tasted very good, we would love to come back. Very nice excursion restaurant, with great hiking trails.

Dogs ran around freely in the restaurant and begged at the tables. Some of the chairs had small dogs. Starters were brought at different times or even after the main course. When asked, the answer was always OK and the service staff left again.

Delicious food in a somewhat outdated atmosphere. And it smells really strong like the food, so you definitely have to put your clothes in the laundry after your stay. Nevertheless, it is a great location and worth a detour. Best combined with a hike in the surrounding forest

We decided to celebrate my husband's birthday at the Jägerhaus and what can I say...I'm thrilled! Super delicious champagne at the reception, exceptionally tasty appetizer platter and the various main courses tasted excellent! Thank you for the great hospitality, dear Jägerhaus team!

The food was really good. Price performance completely acceptable. The cinnamon parfait was an absolute dream (it could have been a little more). I felt very comfortable. Service was good, but a bit disorganized. Drinks were brought to the table individually (each individually to each person). Addendum: 10/16/24 Unfortunately I was only lucky with the service on that one evening. The other times I had to wait a long time for service.

Went to a friendship meeting at the Jägerhaus today. The menu with lots of Swabian delicacies was the main reason. Where else can you get kidneys, liver and ox packages. The restaurant is located just outside Heilbronn in an idyllic location in the forest above the vineyards. The restaurant has a large beer garden and also extensive space in the restaurant. The menu mainly offers Swabian dishes and is supplemented by some Greek specialties. All in all very appealing! Ordering went smoothly and the drinks were served quickly. The food didn't take long to arrive either. All dishes tasted OK. Unfortunately the kidneys with side dishes were "clear". Although the ordering and serving worked great, the service was no longer available... so we were unable to order another drink or a second helping of the kidneys. The biggest drawback in my opinion are the toilets. When you get to the stairwell you can follow the smell... that's not possible!

I've been coming here for as long as I can remember, and since it's been in Greek hands, even 🐕 are welcome, since our Pebbles is Greek, she's of course happy to come. We were invited there for a birthday on the holiday. I was shocked when I saw all the cars and we had to park on swampy paths in the forest. The place is completely overcrowded and loud. The three of us went back with our dog. I can't understand what's so special here. I imagine having a leisurely meal is something other than having to shout at the person sitting at the table to make sure you are understood. Sorry, you have to give one star, but for me it's already too much.

I was here for the first time today with my family. The service was very friendly and attentive. The drinks also came very quickly. The main course from the daily menu was very tasty, the veal was medium rare and the chutney sauce was sweet, spicy and also sour. The stuffed dumplings were amazing. I would have loved to order the dish again. The ambience is very nice. Everything here has already been covered with beautiful autumn decorations, which is why everything looks very cozy and inviting. You should definitely make a reservation because it was really busy. That's my only negative point because it gets a bit loud.

Come every year to celebrate a birthday with at least 30 people. It's never really been convincing until now. Food usually arrives cold. Service otherwise quite okay. Small playground right next door. There are enough parking spaces available. Access confusing on Sundays and public holidays.

Super nice location. In the summer months we like to meet here for dinner with the family. Because the forest makes it cooler and more pleasant in summer, like other beer gardens. We celebrated our silver wedding anniversary here yesterday with our daughters and dog. Super nice staff, everyone was very, very friendly. Food was also very good, a great lunch.

My fries were too salty and the complaint was downplayed. After that we were ignored and no longer served. When paying, the service employee was very unfriendly. When he didn't get a tip because of the not so good food and the bad service, eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.

Very full, food goes like this - roast roast tastes good for a woman, it's too small for a man... the sauce is terrible, the onion is mushy and the spaetzle is of course not homemade, it would be far too time-consuming according to the service and the advertised iced tea creations from the extra menu were then on Demand was no longer available in that flavor... Schnitzel was colorless and cheesy and the fries were rather cold. It's a shame, top location, great destination but unfortunately no taste pleasure. Not cheap either and for unsatisfactory food you can't even call it good middle-class cuisine, let alone more upscale cuisine. We cannot recommend it nor will we visit it again.

I would prefer to give 0 stars for the service. We were there with a larger group (previously reserved). After our meal we went outside to take a family photo. We let them know we'd be back soon. When we came back, one of our tables was simply given to other guests. So we didn't have enough seats and were forced to leave! The great thing was that when we paid, there were dishes and drinks on our bill that we definitely didn't order. At the end we were asked to sit at another table so that this table could also be given to other guests. If we make reservations in advance with a large group and then there are bottlenecks with other reservations during the day, we can communicate in advance that the reservation is time-limited. That wouldn't have been a problem, but simply taking reserved tables away from us and then bringing the wrong bill is not possible!

After a long 7 weeks of hospital treatment and rehab, FINALLY ate a delicious hamburger. Nice. I liked it. It's worth repeating!! ;')

Very tasty food. Freshly prepared. Very good meat and great sauces. I have a few points of criticism: Spaetzle? Why can't you get fresh spaetzle in Heilbronn anymore? 😕 And: the sauce was really sparing for the roast. I would have liked to have had more. However, no waiter was available. The waiting time. Yes, it was fresh and yes, it was full. But making two kids wait over an hour for spaetzle with sauce... I don't know. The roast roast, which was ordered medium, was significantly colder than the schnitzel, steak and Heilbronn favorite dish, but this wasn't a problem thanks to the quality of the meat. It was packed. There were five of us sitting at a table for four. My husband dropped the full dip off the board. It wasn't replaced or anything like that. Conclusion: good cuisine. Great concept. But there is still room for improvement when it comes to side dishes and service. (At least when the hut is full)

At the beginning of the season, top service and excellent food (pork knuckle, onion roast), then booked a birthday dinner for a larger group during the season. Result: no reserved table available, service staff overwhelmed when taking orders, food delivered over a period of several minutes instead of for everyone together. Apologies made after information. Unfortunately, the Wiener Schnitzel (no butter taste, very dry breading that stuck to the meat) and the Greek liver (overcooked, tough with dry potatoes) remained negative memories for a long time. 5 points the first time and 1 point this time give an average of 3 points. Was the last time we were there. Unfortunately they have been dismantled. The service was okay, unfortunately a bit slow but good. You can understand it when there's a lot going on. But the food... onion roast was really bad. The sauce resembled a thin, tasteless soup. The meat was tough. Rarely have something so bad been served... the rest of the food was average. The only nice thing is the ambience outside. No more...

“Decent portions”, delicious fries, schnitzel ok and what else I saw at the table was also ok. The ambience is like that - as it is in a beer garden at this time of year. But no reason to complain. Ordering at the kiosk was quick and very friendly despite there being a lot of people. You didn't have to wait long for the food either. I've had a much worse experience with significantly fewer guests. Overall great and gladly again.

They always love being in the Jägerhaus. Great atmosphere and we always feel at home in the beer garden or in the restaurant. There is a nice playground for the little ones and you can also take the dog for a walk through the forest 👍
