The food was very tasty and arrived quickly, the service was friendly, the outdoor area is huge and comfortably decorated and it is very quiet as there are mainly meadows around it. There is also a dog filling station, definitely recommended! See you next time :-)

The time period is not stated in the email for the lunch menu. Called specifically and had to be there by 2:30 p.m. to get the day's meal. At 2:30 p.m. it was said no, yes after an objection, then no again and finally available on the third attempt. That wasn't the best first impression. It's a shame, otherwise nice surroundings. Unfortunately the food wasn't to our liking. Salad was too pickled for us, no spice, no dressing. Tofu, like many other restaurants, not convincing, despite being grilled. Stuffy, boring, no taste. Bread was very good. Operation does not respond confidently. Let's wait for the second chance. update 20240714: the implementation of the time information promised in the answer has not yet taken place...

Everything was consistent. The service was extremely competent, the food was plentiful and tasty. Small suggestion for improvement from the catering industry: Cross selling (offering an espresso or schnapps after the meal or "tempting you to have a dessert" fills up the tills). Nice atmosphere, view not quite as nice as expected, you're sitting on a football field. What I found very outrageous: we ordered 2 Amalfi and a glass of tap water. At the end a glass of still water was collected: Reason: the boss forbade serving tap water. I would have thought it would have been nice if this had been pointed out to me before the water was brought. Furthermore, I find it super stingy and unsympathetic when restaurant owners are too stingy to give their customers a drink of water with alcohol or coffee. This is actually considered good form today. Thank God there are nicer and more customer-friendly restaurants in Esslingen and the surrounding area.

Die Käsespätzle waren lecker und der Salat hat gut geschmeckt. Der Service war schnell und unkompliziert. Die Einrichtung ist modern aber ein wenig durchgewürfelt ohne klare Linie.

The cheese spaetzle was delicious and the salad tasted good. The service was quick and uncomplicated. The furnishings are modern but a bit jumbled without a clear line.

Instead of the cheese spaetzle ordered, spaetzle dipped in cream sauce was served (it's not on the menu - but the cheese was somehow missing...)

When the weather is nice, it is advisable to make a reservation if you are traveling with several people. However, due to the beautiful weather and a long weekend, the service seemed a bit stressed when we asked about our reservation. With two older people with slight walking disabilities, the space allocated to us in the form of a bench (there was also a fireplace on a pedestal at one end of the table) was anything but optimal and the request for another table was rudely rejected. Since we were six hungry people, we had to sit at this table. When we ordered our food we were told what was already sold out. This would have been useful information before looking at the menu. The sizes of the dishes served were also disappointing. The salad bouquet for the Kässpätzle was almost twice as big as the portions themselves. We were very happy to order a tomato soup in advance. This was hot and tasted very good. We agreed that the soup was the best part of the dishes we ordered. In our opinion, they were the only portions where the price and performance were right. All in all, this wasn't a nice end to what was actually a very nice day. However, I would like to conclude by saying that we have been to this location many times and have always been very satisfied, whether for coffee with wonderful cakes, ice cream, cold or warm dishes. Everything always tasted very good and there was rarely anything to complain about, whether it was the service or the kitchen. We hope that we just had an exceptional day on that Saturday, due to the fantastic weather that guests enjoyed and the staff had to work hard.

Not suitable for allergy sufferers. We had a reserved table right next to two dogs. When we asked if we could have another table, we were so harassed by the service staff that we would not come back again. Very unfortunate.

We are still overwhelmed with happiness from our wedding reception on Friday. We couldn't have imagined a more beautiful wedding. We would therefore like to thank all of the Dulkhäusle employees once again. A great lunch with the whole family. There was something for everyone here: We made reservations early without any problem and got a nice table. The staff was friendly and committed, which made us immediately feel at home. Although almost all tables were occupied, drinks and food were served very quickly. The pleasantly clear menu had something delicious for every age (2 to 84). I particularly liked several vegetarian dishes. The carnivores also got their money’s worth 🤤. The salad was beautifully prepared and had a delicious dressing. My father liked the tomato soup. My grandparents ordered the Cordon Bleu and were very satisfied. Thanks for the lovely afternoon, we’ll be back 😀

Very tasty food and also a super nice atmosphere. If possible, it is best to reserve in advance, as the Dulkhäusle is very popular and otherwise you may have to wait a while for a nice place. The outside area is now very nicely furnished and is easy to use on colder evenings as radiant heaters have now been installed. You can also eat well here with children and let the little ones out on the huge lawn right next to the outdoor area while they wait. We recommend ;)

We sat in the winter garden. Apart from the fact that it was a bit cold, everything was great Food super tasty and plentiful. Nice atmosphere - especially if you can sit outside in the summer, it's great there. We will be back.

Hatren reserved for dinner. Were placed in a pavilion with walls made of plastic film at 5 degrees C without prior notice! The operator doesn't seem to care about the health of his guests!!

Courteous and friendly service. The restaurant was packed, but we hardly had to wait for drinks or food. The furnishings are super tasteful and the outdoor area is exceptionally equipped and beautiful. I declare it my favorite!

The Dulkhäusle is absolutely recommended. The location is terrific. Here you can eat and drink deliciously at reasonable prices. The service is very accommodating. Young and old alike can be completely satisfied here. We look forward to our next visit.

In einer sehr schönen Lage oberhalb von Esslingen liegt das Dulkhäusle mit seiner ausgesprochen großen Terrasse, die zum Verweilen egal, ob im Sommer oder Winter einlädt. Wir waren im Dezember das erste Mal und hatten einen Platz auf der Terrasse, die im Winter überdacht ist. Geheizt wird mit direkten Heizstrahlern und einem Ofen. Auf Wunsch durfte man den einen oder anderen Heizstrahler zu oder abschalten. Das Essen kam ungewöhnlich schnell. Wir hatten Zwiebelrostbraten bestellt und wie sich herausstellte, war der Rostbraten bereits vorgegart und die Beilagen schon etwas kalt. Leider für unseren Geschmack etwas wenig Röstaromen. Hingegen waren die Schokoladen-Zimt-Knödel mit Vanilleeis ein absoluter Hit! Das Servicepersonal war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam.

Ein sehr schön gelegenes Restaurant, eine riesengroße Terrasse mit Blick auf die Fildern und einem gemütlichen Ambiente. Das Essen war für meinen Geschmack sehr gut, alle anderen (waren 10 Personen) sind ebenso sehr zufrieden gewesen. Was hervorragend ist, dass die Küche ein gutes Timing hat, wodurch die Gerichte gleichzeitig serviert werden. Alles in allem ein sehr empfehlenswertes Restaurant 👍

Schöne Lokation und gutes Essen zum vernünftigen Preis. Servicepersonal sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Im Sommer mit dem Biergarten sicher noch toller. Besuch war ganz bestimmt nicht der letzte.

Essen war sehr lecker, hier gab es eine gute Auswahl zur deutschen Küche, daher eine empfehlenswert. Preis sind stand 2023 für das was geboten gerechtfertigt.

Wir haben uns sehr gefreut vegane Optionen auf der Karte gefunden zu haben. Das vegane Curry mit gebratenem Gemüse war sehr lecker und vielfältig.

Overall quiet happy with the dining experience. The Restaurant was quiet full since we reserved for Christmas lunch. Food was nice, service was very friendly. I like ambient of the place, feels cozy homey. However, they only served one vegetarian food, so not so many options for vegetarians.

Ich finde es schon erstaunlich, dass es nicht möglich ist, eine Kinderportion Käsespätzle zu bestellen. Ich war an Weihnachten dort und die Karte wurde soweit ausgedünnt, dass das einzige fleischlose Essen ein Pilzgericht war. Käsespätzle hätten mich wirklich glücklich gemacht. Leider stand auf der Karte, dass das Gericht nur für Kinder bis 8 Jahren ist. Und weil wir in Deutschland leben, ist das nunmal Gesetz. Es gehen in diesem Laden hunderte Zwiebelrostbraten mit Spätzle über die Theke und da ist es nicht möglich, eine Portion Käsespätzle zu machen? Wie unflexibel kann man sein? Mein Weihnachtsessen war dann also ein Beilagensalat. Danke.

Ein netter Abend mit nettem Service. Die Kürbiscremesuppe war ganz gut, allerdings war der Zwiebelrostbraten etwas zäh. Für den Preis so ein Stück Fleisch und dann die fertigen Spätzle leider nicht ganz so passend. An sich aber alles in allem auf jeden Fall in Ordnung. Extra aus Esslingen Mitte hochfahren werde ich aber wahrscheinlich nicht noch einmal.

Wollten gerne eine Firmenfeier machen. Kommunikation per Mail und Telefon habe ich als ausladend und kompliziert empfunden. Wir haben uns dann für ein anderes Lokal entschieden. Gelebte Gastfreundschaft sieht anders aus.

Wir haben dort zu Mittag gegessen und das Essen war wirklich sehr lecker. Preislich ist das Essen für gut bürgerliches Essen zu anderen vergleichbaren Restaurants schon okay. Der Mittagstisch scheidet mit 10€ preislich gut ab, jedoch sind die Portionen beim Mittagstisch gefühlt etwas kleiner als bei den 'normalen' Gerichten. Wir waren zu 15 Leuten nach unserer standesamtlichen Trauung (Hochzeit) hier essen und das Personal ist sehr nett auf unsere Anliegen eingegangen.

Das es war relativ schnell am Tisch schmeckte sehr gut und die das Ambiente war perfekt

Der Service ist so lala das Essen ist Geschmacksache bei manchen Gerichten muß noch etwas verbessert werden

Gutbürgerliche Küche. Sehr lecker. Schöne Aussicht. Im Sommer kann man auch gut draußen sitzen. Sehr nettes Personal. Aber neuerdings die Absperrseile vor Lokalöffnung schrecken manchen Besucher ab, der kurz vor Öffnung schon da steht und sich nicht mal hinsetzen oder auf Toilette kann.

Great restaurant and reservations would be best. Some really great Swabian options kase spaetzle, schnitzel, maultaschen, salads are so good! You don’t get those salads in the Midwest really.

Ich war begeistert, am Wochenende nach vielen Jahren mal wieder in der Heimat gewesen zu sein und das DULKHÄUSLE besucht zu haben. Es hat sich Mega verändert und ich war wirklich sehr begeistert und auch meine nun schon alte Mutter möchte unbedingt wiederkommen! Machen wir bestimmt beim nächsten Heimatbesuch.

Sehr schön gelegenes Restaurant am Waldrand mit viel Auslauffläche/Spielplatz für Kinder. Speisekarte bietet sehrgut zubereitete Gerichte, nicht zuviel aber für jeden etwas. In jedem Fall eine Empfehlung wert. Im Sommer mit tollem Außenbereich/Terrasse !!!

Sehr gutes Essen. Fleisch weich und zart, Käsespätzle mit cremiger Käsesosse und die Mautaschen wohlschmeckend. Die 'Cre'me brulee'' war mild-aromatisch mit gut karamelisierter Kruste. Die Bedienung kam bald, musste nicht zu lange warten, und war ganz nett. Das Essen bei dem nächsten Mal war auch noch gut, aber ein wenig schwächer, da das Fleisch ein wenig weniger wohlschmeckend war, die Spätzle etwas fader und nicht so viel Sosse dabei war. An diesem Abend war ein Aushilfskoch da, wie ich beiläufig erfuhr. Bei dem 'Schwabentraum' konnten sie nichts falsch machen. Durch viele Buchungen ist es offenbar quasi Glücksache, einen Platz zu bekommen. Der Zwiebelrostbraten vom zweiten Mal schafft es noch, zum 'gut' rüberzurutschen; wirklich famos bleibt aber das Pfännle vom ersten Mal.

Auffallend sehr freundlicher Service. Mittagskarte sehr lecker: Matjes mit Kartoffeln. Sehr schöne Terrasse mit Blick zur Alb. Sehr gerne wieder.

Reservierung empfehlenswert, da die Nachfrage sehr stark ist Habe heute das Tagesgericht Matjesfilet gegessen und war sehr zufrieden. Nebenbei gibt es heute als Tagesgericht noch Kürbiscremesuppe oder Rinder-Geschnetzeltes in Dijon Soße. Top Service ! Sehr freundliche und engagierte Bedienungen. Es macht Spaß hier zu sein ! Wir waren heute seit langem mal wieder hier. Essen war Geschmacklich gut nur die Portion viel viel zu klein Der 8 jährige hat den zwibelrostbraten mit pommes komplett gegessen Wir Erwachsenen haben daheim erst mal Brot gegessen! Wir kommen bei den Preisen uns Portionen nicht mehr !

Waren zur Geburtstagsfeier dort der Biergarten ist toll das Essen ich hatte einen Rostbraten war eher durchschnittlich für meinen Geschmack die Soße war zu fad und das Fleisch ging so leider war alles nur noch lauwarm aber es war auch viel los
