Waldgasthof Weiler Hütte in Weil im Schönbuch

Es wird besonders das Schnitzel angepriesen. Als nicht-Fleischesserin gibt es 2 vegetarische Gerichte zur Auswahl. Ich habe mich für die Bowl entschieden mit verschiedenen Salatvariationen. Leider musste ich die Hälfte davon wieder zurückgeben und konnte sie nicht essen. Die Kichererbsen waren aus der Dose nicht abgespült noch in Gele getunkt, auch die Pilze waren nicht zu erkennen als gemixte Masse verarbeitet und die Avocado aus dem Eimer ohne Würze. Bei einer Bowl erwarte ich frisches und gesundes Gemüse, das auch optisch schön angerichtet sein sollte. Es gibt tolle Anleitungen auf YouTube, wie man Bowls zubereitet. Das als Tipp an die Küche. Die Vorfreude auf die neue Speisekarte, die auch fleißig auf FB geteilt wird und die Erwartung an das Essen wurden leider nicht getroffen. Ich werde vorerst nicht mehr kommen.

Ich hatte heut die schlechtesten Kässpätzle, die ich je gegessen hab. Trocken, angebraten, kein Käse dran. Auch die Zwiebeln hatten einen komischen Geschmack. Beim Fitnesssalat war das Fleisch am Stück, nicht wirklich appetitlich angerichtet und ein Dressing, das nach Fertigdressing geschmeckt hat. Am Tisch hatten wir verschiedene Gerichte, die allesamt lieblos angerichtet waren und die nach Großmarkt ausgesehen und geschmeckt haben. Das Ambiente ist toll, ein toller Biergarten im Wald. Für ein Getränk auf einer Fahrradtour werde ich bestimmt wieder einkehren, was essen werde ich hier erstmal nicht mehr.

Heute dort gewesen mit ca. 10 Leuten. Wir saßen in der Hütte aussen. An der Theke bestellte ich eine rote Wurst. Meine 2x vorgetragene Bitte um einen Teller wurde ignoriert. Die mit der Currywurst waren besser dran. Eine andere Dame hat mit Ach und Krach ein Glas zu Ihrer Limo bekommen. Die Wurst war auch nicht toll, aber gut. Ich geh dort jedenfalls nicht mehr hin. Schlechter Service geht gar nicht

Mit den letzten Pächtern waren wir absolut nicht zufrieden. Das Essen war Massenware und ziemlich teuer. Am Sonntag wollten wir mal unter dem neuen Pächter essen. War wirklich alles tiptop! Essen war super und die Preise waren auch ok. Das einzige, was uns gestört hat, war eine Service Kraft, die offensichtlich aus Berlin kam und durch ziemlich dumme Sprüche, wie: haben die Leute kein Zuhause? , die wartenden ziemlich dumm anmachte! Geht gar nicht und ist meiner Meinung nach geschäftsschädigend! Da waren bei besagter Person noch mehr solche Sprüche zu vernehmen. Das restliche Personal war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Wir werden wiederkommen, da der Rest sehr positiv war.

Wir wollten heute mit Feunden eigentlich woanders den Tag genießen, waren aber offensichtlich nicht Willkommen. Trotz fester Reservierung. Haben uns dann kurzfristig für die Weiler Hütte entschieden, weil nicht weit davon entfernt. Das war eine super Entscheidung. Weil: TopTopTop. Ganz starkes Ausflugsziel im Schönbuch. Super schönes Ambiente. Personal hochkompetent. Preise, die noch Spass machen. Die neue Führung hat es verstanden wie Gastro geht. Kompliment. Wir kommen wieder. A&D.

Das Ambiente ist wirklich schön und macht auf jeden Fall Lust auf ein zünftiges Mahl. Das Essen steht im Kontrast dazu auf jeden Fall im Schatten der doch so Schönen Kulisse, da die Speisen doch sehr durchschnittlich sind. Das Verhältnis Preis-Leistung lässt zu wünschen übrig. Das Fleisch (Bäckle) war butterzart, was definitiv ein Lob wert ist. Der Rest drumrum (Spätzle und Soße) schmeckten jedoch sehr neutral und umrahmten das Fleisch in keinster Weise. Die Portionsgrößen erinnern eher an Seniorenteller. Macht euch gerne selbst ein Bild.

Joa, sagen wir so, es war in Ordnung. Wir haben uns dafür entschieden drinnen zu sitzen, da hier die Speisekarte mehr Auswahl zu bieten hatte. Leider wurden wir hier vom Preis-Leistungsverhältnis sehr enttäuscht. Der Kartoffelsalat ist Fertigware und schmeckt auch so. Die Maultaschen sind gut. Wir hatten den "Schwabenteller" (so hieß er denke ich) für 32 EUR und das was da auf dem Teller war, war auf jeden Fall keine 32 EUR wert. Die Spätzle wässrig, die Portion Rostbraten eher klein und eine lieblose Maultasche daneben. Also sorry, aber das wäre in jedem anderen Lokal deutlich besser serviert worden für den Preis. Egal ob Portionsgröße oder Qualität. Auch der Service lässt eher zu wünschen übrig, bei uns wurde zwischendrin ein Getränk vergessen, auf Nachfrage wurde uns dann ein drittes Getränk auf die Rechnung geschrieben, welches gar nicht kam. Im Nachhinein wurde es zwar von der Rechnung entfernt, aber wenn an einem heißen Tag das Getränk vergessen wird und die Bedienung sich über eine halbe Stunde nicht blicken lässt, spricht das schon für sich.... Hat halt leider im Vergleich zum Vorgänger extrem nachgelassen. Auch der Online-Auftritt ist jetzt nicht so der Hammer. Seit 01.05.26 haben Sie geöffnet, aber hiervon findet man Online nichts, auch keine Website oder Telefonnummer, falls man reservieren wöllte. Alles in allem sehr schwach.

Wir sind mit dem Fahrrad hingeradelt. Ein toller Biergarten im Wald. Wir waren an einem Feiertag um die Mittagszeit. Es war sehr voll und es gab eine lange Schlange an der Kasse. Es hat sich gelohnt zu warten. Das Essen war gut. Ambiente sehr schön.

Vorrübergehend geschlossen trifft es ganz gut. Man steht 25-30min in der Schlange für Getränke und Essen. In der Zeit hätte der Pizzalieferant aus Weil uns schon bedienen können um die Wartezeit zu überbrücken-für aufgewärmte TK-Ware grenzwertig. Bier war solala aus der Zapfanlage. Und da arbeiten ein Haufen Leute hinter der Kasse, aber was machen die? Früher hat man Nummern ausgerufen bekommen und es ging voran. Ambiente natürlich wie gewohnt super.

Neu offen täglich ab 10 Uhr. Ohne Ruhetag.

Nach der Neueröffnung sind wir 2 x dort gewesen. 1. mal Currywurst gegessen die war OK. 2. mal Schnitzel mit Pommes und extra Sosse und Beilagensalat. Schnitzel Billig - Fleisch und geschmacklos, Pommes sehr hart und voll mit Fett, mit der Gabel konnte man die nicht aufspiessen, Fertigsosse wurde schlecht aufgepimmt. Beilagensalat wenig Fertigdressing im Salat. Wir dachten, nach den grossen Ankündigungen welch gute Qualität uns erwartet, nix wars. Gegenüber den Vorpächtern keine Steigerung, im Gegenteil (Schnitzel, Pommes, Sosse, Beilagensalat) viel schlechter, Wir waren zu fünft am Tisch, alle unterschiedliche Gerichte, alle anderen waren der gleichen Meinung „Fertigfrass“ auch alle entäuscht gewesen……… Sind jetzt bisschen günstiger geworden, was natürlich positiv ist, dass wars aber auch schon.

Gestern (am Muttertag) mit der ganzen Familie bei bestem Wetter. Sehr schönes, großes Gelände mit viel natürlichem Schatten. Essen war sehr gut. Die Ausgaben für Essen und Trinken sind top organisiert. Preise sind in Ordnung. Auch mit Kindern sehr zu empfehlen. Sehr gerne wieder. Top-Empfehlung!!

Freundliche Bedienung. Biergarten mit schattenspendenden Bäumen.

Sehr schönes Waldlokal. Sehr freundliches Personal und das Essen schmeckt. Schön, dass es auch einen Mittagstisch gibt und die ganze Woche geöffnet hat. Immer ein schönes Ziel bei einer Radausfahrt oder Wanderung.

Es ist soo schön, daß die Weiler Hütte wieder geöffnet hat. Mit echten Profis als Betreiber - was man sofort merkt😃 . Die kleine Terrasse mit Bedienung ist ein absoluter Gewinn. An die Speisekarte in A2-Format gewöhnen wir uns noch. Passendes Angebot für einen Waldgasthof im Schönbuch. Die Maultaschen waren sehr gut. Dem neuen Pächter wünschen wir viel Erfolg in dieser tollen Location.

Das war der schlechteste Wurstsalat, welchen ich je gegessen habe. Trockener Käse, knorbelige Schwarzwurst, völlig ohne Geschmack - kein Essig und Öl, nicht gewürzt.

Schönes Ausflugsziel. Preise etwas zu teuer, vor allem bei Getränken und Eis.

War dort am 4. Advent zum Weihnachtsmarkt. Aber auch sonst immer ein schöner und beliebter Anlaufpunkt, auch zum Speisen. Im Sommer mit vielen Sitzgelegenheiten im Aussenbereich und Speisen (Selbstabholung). Komme gerne immer wieder.

Also ich werde sa bestimmt nicht mehr hingehen.da wird man schon empfangen hier gibt es keinen Platz ...warten sie gefälligst bis ich komme ...es ist alles voll...von wegen .die Tische im Hintern Bereich alle frei...aber essen nein danke ...Rostbraten mit Spätzle 31 Euro. Angebot Jägerspezial von Schönbuch Bräu aus dem Platikbecher 7 Euro ...die machen nur noch Geld mit den Auswärtigen ..hoffe es kommt bald einen neuer Pächter

Winterdorf im Naturfreundehaus in Herrenberg. Sehr schönes Ambiente mit vielen Stehtischen die größtenteils unter beleuchteten Pavillons stehen. Lifemusik, tolle Atmosphäre für einen Winterabend. Essen wie Käsespätzle, Burger, Hotdog usw. nicht billig aber für diese Aufmachung ok. Parken auf einem großen angrenzenden Parkplatz oder entlang der Straße ist aufgrund der vielen Besucher etwas schwierig, aber ein Besuch lohnt sich auf jeden Fall.

Der Weihnachtsmarkt war toll für groß und klein. Gute Mischung aus Ess- und Getränke-Ständen, auch Süßigkeiten. Besonders schön fanden wir die handgemachten Artikel die angeboten wurden. Für die kleinsten war ein Kinderkarusell vorhanden.

Schöne Lage, schöner Weihnachtsmark, rustikales Ambiente.

Wir waren ca. 9 Gäste in diesem Anwesen gewesen, Das Essen war sehr gut, wir wurden sehr gut bedient. Wir würden wieder kommen, wenn wir in der Nähe sind. Alles ist gut!

Located in the middle of the woods, yet easily accessible by bike, moped, or car. A very pleasant open-air atmosphere, simply beautiful. The food, although a bit simple in October, is still very tasty. Excellent fries!

At the end of our holiday we stopped there and had a delicious meal.

We've been there as children and with our club (for an overnight stay)... great memories. Great beer garden in the middle of nature. I thought the food was delicious, but... the prices are really steep for a self-service beer garden.

A very beautiful beer garden nestled in the forest, with the option of indoor seating (very cozy). The value for money is good. The quality of the food is better than expected for a beer garden.

A beautiful beer garden with seating spread throughout the grounds, contributing to a very relaxed atmosphere. Right at the side of the seating area is a playground with a sandpit, slide, and swings. Shade-providing trees are scattered throughout the area, making even warm days a pleasant experience. The location is right on the edge of the forest. The beautiful paths invite you to take a pleasant stroll. A few hundred meters away is a large forest playground with a zip line and barbecue facilities. Vegetarian dishes are available and delicious. The game dishes are also very tasty. Coffee and cake round out the offerings. There's also a wide selection of ice cream for the little ones. We'll definitely be back.

It was okay, but honestly, if you're charging €4 for a coffee, it should taste good.

Very nice ambiance, the food could be improved, as could the ordering and serving arrangements. But it's also a beer garden.

I was a big fan years ago. But the summer food in the beer garden isn't at all convincing. Plus, the prices are very unfamily-friendly. Unfortunately, the price-quality ratio no longer matches. It's a shame, because the beer garden is a great destination/stopover for cycling and hiking. I'll come back next summer... with high hopes. Because they actually cook really well there.

Lunch is inexpensive at €10. Otherwise, there's a beer garden. At peak times, you'll have to wait.

I was at the Weiler Hütte for the first time in a long time. You have to be able to afford it, or want to afford it. Draft beer costs €5 for €10. I had to swallow that. The price is less at the golf club... I didn't eat anything either, because... But okay, you don't have to go there. What really bothered me were the signs prohibiting bicycle parking. Seriously? There's so much space there, and I certainly wouldn't park my expensive e-bike without it being visible...

I could do it if the service were a bit faster. Sure, it's a beer garden, but the prices are like a restaurant! So I wouldn't want to have to wait in line for about 20 minutes at the pub. (And the fries could also be a bit better fried and at least have a hint of salt on them...)

We were there today, and the fries tasted of grease, which you can also feel on your fingers. The ambiance isn't exactly Swiss, but the ravages of time are already coming. The plants are taking what they want. Nothing of the past glory remains here, which is why Inderin still gets a 3 star.

A beautifully situated beer garden. A great starting point for hikes or bike rides, followed by a refreshing drink. Affordable lunch with decent portion sizes. I highly recommend the goulash.

From my childhood, I remember the Weiler Hütte as a place to stay overnight in large shared rooms,... with a short walk to the neighboring playground. We also loved the small Kneipp facility; we even bathed there as children... everything is still there,... only it's not like it used to be... unfortunately. Dead mice are floating in the Kneipp facility, and it's no longer maintained. There are many great shady spots to sit and relax. I would have preferred something fresh and inexpensive to eat. I think the prices are too high for self-service. So, lunch was simply out of the question for me.

We were back after a long time. We were regulars at the Weiler Hütte for many years (3-4 times a week). Ownership has changed, and what can we say? The staff are rude, the quality has declined significantly, exorbitant prices, frozen ready-made schnitzel with soggy breading. Not comparable to the previous experience at the old Weiler Hütte restaurant. It's a shame because the location is really good. But – never again

We felt very comfortable and deliberately stopped by the beer garden during a bike ride. You order food and drinks and pick them up at the bar. They serve the usual beer garden fare, such as Leberkäse (meatloaf), various variations of sausage salad, currywurst and fries, etc. We'd happily come back.

The food was good, but unfortunately it was too cold. The twirler played well, but it was way too loud. It's nice that there are still beer gardens like this. Very rare in the region.

You order your food at the bar downstairs in the beer garden and get a pager when it's ready. The food could use a bit more seasoning. The atmosphere is great, with plenty of shady spots and live music.

Always check what's being typed into the cash register and what's on the receipt. I ordered a currywurst and got a salad, then had to wait for my order again and pay for both. It was September, and it was too... Prices have gone up. Service was a bit lackluster, less than accommodating, as you'd expect in a restaurant. That's to be expected in an outdoor setting.

Rip-off. Once and never again. Non-alcoholic wheat beer €5.40. And it's self-service, too. Everyone should stay away for a month so this money-grubber can return to normal.

We stopped here for lunch at this wonderful beer garden on the recommendation of our friends. Thank goodness we were able to experience such a beautiful, quiet, and cozy large beer garden. Very friendly staff, a very tasty shandy, and delicious food. Such a prime location right next to the forest, and despite being very busy, it was very pleasantly quiet because the beer garden is so huge. We had a great time and are looking forward to our next visit.

I don't understand how you can make a menu (for the beer garden) available for download as a Word document. It doesn't open on many mobile devices. Therefore, I didn't even visit the restaurant. ☹

The Weiler Hütte deserves full marks. Food must be ordered at the counter. The ladies and gentlemen are very friendly and helpful. You get a pager, and when it beeps and buzzes, you pick up your food at the counter. Last time I had Maultaschen (Maultaschen) with salad. It's a bit too much on the plate, which is un-Swabian, but it tastes like eating at a Swabian grandma's house 🥰. I always enjoy coming here!

I've never experienced such a bike-unfriendly place. Signs everywhere prohibiting bicycles. No indication of the tiny, easily overlooked bike rack (approx. 10 bikes). Completely unsuitable for modern bicycles. Given the excessively high, family-unfriendly prices, one would expect something different. It's a shame, because the location and ambiance are beautiful. Still, never again.

After being quite satisfied in recent years – especially inside – we've now decided to take a break. The online menu is currently not available. The menu is severely limited "because there are currently only two chefs." The game dishes – except for goulash – aren't available, and the soup has also been discontinued. The prices aren't right either. My wife's drink came with "contents" and was replaced. After the chanterelle mushrooms were a bit soggy on the last visit, my wife asked for two children's portions of breaded schnitzel with fries. Well, that one – like the schnitzel still available on the online menu (no longer in the restaurant) – doesn't have any "lions." "We don't do that because it's inferior product!" Inferior quality doesn't mean it's bad, it simply doesn't mean it's as high-quality as certified meat. Why can't you get that if you specifically request it? Well, I ordered the schnitzel platter for myself, due to a lack of game and personal alternatives. Cabbage only tastes good when it's simmered and warmed up. This cabbage, however, was tasteless and overcooked. The two liver and crackling sausages were okay, but with a Schlachtplatte (meat platter), I expect a smoked pork loin, a smoked sausage, or something similar. Not grilled belly bacon, though – certainly with a crispy crust, but very fatty. No, that wasn't good, and unfortunately, I didn't leave a review on site. Instead, I was so annoyed that I left with "Merry Christmas!" We tipped, but in retrospect, we should have just paid the exact amount. Now: What are 3 stars? Average? Based on the past, yes, because it should also be seen as constructive criticism. There's room for improvement. Service: a bit clumsy but trying. Ambience: fine inside, outside they could do a bit more to improve the ambiance, especially since the prices for self-service are rather high. We'll take a break for now.

Beautiful inn nestled in the forest. Unfortunately, the waitress was in a bad mood during our visit. Sorry...but I can understand someone being stressed to a certain extent, but yelling at guests when you politely ask for the bill? No go!

The fries weren't freshly made and were only lukewarm. Spätzle with sauce: Ready-made spätzle from a packet with ready-made sauce, even at €5.50, I find it a bit too expensive and not very good. Also too heavily seasoned and slightly spicy for a child. The grilled sausages with mustard were OK, but unfortunately only warmed up. The sandpit and playground were in rather poor condition. All in all, the Weiler Hütte is clearly showing its age, including the restrooms. Overall, everything is rather lacking in love. Including drinks, we paid almost €29. In my opinion, the value for money isn't right. It's a shame; we used to go there occasionally, but unfortunately, we probably won't be going back.

They could work on the friendliness and cater to customer requests regarding small children. The prices are also very high for this quality of food.

Were there on May 1st. Since only one checkout was open, I had to wait in line for about an hour to place our order - sorry, that's not possible on a day like this. The food was very tasty but the prices were quite high for a “beer garden”.

The Weiler Hut is in a very idyllic location, beautifully located in the forest, you can find seats in the sun and also in the shade - everything fits. But there is room for improvement in terms of organization and pricing, at least for the beer garden. It remains hidden from the rare visitor where you can only get drinks. But what's most impressive is the price level - it comes close to the helicopter-supplied mountain huts at > 5 euros for a self-service beer, and you also bring the glass back. 🙈

The location is really cool, the location in the middle of the forest is actually priceless. I'm only reviewing the beer garden here. Aaaaber: You have to have a lot of time at lunchtime to get a drink or even place an order. The people taking orders have to have extreme multitasking skills, which unfortunately none of them have. Orders are ordered, collected, coffee is made and food is served at the same time. It looks like it's often all from the same person. This means that if there are 10 people standing in front of you, you wait in a queue for easily 20 minutes until you have even ordered. One of the most inelegant forms of self-service. The prices are, as usual these days, exorbitant. The beer is good, the quality of the food is rather questionable. Fries are generally unsalted, and some, like ours today, have around 100ml of frying fat floating in the bowl. At least the fries were refunded, but with the note: “It can’t be that I gave them out like that”. As if I were bringing fat with me to pour over the fries... Conclusion: The 2 stars because of the location, the service and the quality of the food require urgent improvements, especially in terms of the prices quoted.

Super delicious restaurant with Swabian and German cuisine. The destination in the Schönbuch region near Weil im Schönbuch! Here you'll find the best rustic cuisine for all fans of local gastronomy. What's special: most dishes are prepared exclusively with local ingredients. Whether eggs, salad, or meat, the origin of all ingredients is clearly stated on the menu. The taste and portion sizes are 100% convincing. Every dish is a feast for the palate, whether it's the classic Maultasche (swabian pasta), a delicious salad, or a juicy beef dish. Everything here is a delight. In summer, the beer garden is also available, but it gets very crowded at peak times due to the Weiler Hütte's reputation. The ambiance and staff are equally top-notch. Everything feels authentic, and the rustic flair is simply fantastic. A definite must-stop for anyone passing through, if the Weiler Hütte isn't already your destination for the day! 😋

Too few staff. You have to wait in line for at least half an hour.

Saturdays and Sundays Very crowded

It's a shame, things used to be really good here, but the Weiler Hütte also had a different tenant ;) fries were cold - no salt = super sad, beer e.g. Pils from the bottle - not tapped = super sad...

Our review refers exclusively to the beer garden. We were there today April 27th, 2025. We ordered 1x schnitzel with fries and 1x pinzza salami. The fries were unsalted and you had to order the ketchup separately. The pinzza wasn't fully baked, it was cold in the middle. After we complained about the Pinzza, we got a new one that was just as half-baked - the whole thing for 31.10 euros is a very, very poor performance. The motto here is (you can forget about food here)

Service miserable. Standing in line three times today between the drinks counter and the normal counter. The left hand didn't know what the right hand was doing. Now I also find the prices outrageous. I think 5.20 euros for a Hefeweizen or 5.10 euros for a Radler in the beer garden with self-service and queuing is too much.

I looked it up on Google maps, I walked along the forest paths from a nearby town, the paths are very good, and everything very well signposted, I was looking for an authentic place, and without a doubt I found it, the service girls were very very friendly, the food was perfect, really typical food and very well prepared, the price seemed right to me, I have been twice and the next time I visit Germany, I will definitely return.

Today we arrived at 3:50 p.m. and entered the restaurant. We were then asked if we had reserved and when we said no, they just said we had nothing left available - goodbye. There were a few tables free and hot food is only available until 4:30 p.m.! Should we really believe that or was the kitchen already cleaned? If so, you can say it in a friendly way, then we understand that and will come back, but certainly not like that. What a shame!

Were there today and paid 10 euros for 2 cappuccinos. I would have liked to take it back but unfortunately I couldn't. Overpriced and not good quality!

Unfortunately, the staff was very overwhelmed and unfriendly. There is certainly still room for improvement. The ambience and location are absolutely great.
