Ein sehr guter Ort, um einen Bummel durch Alt-Bornheim zu unterbrechen, zumal sogar sonntags geöffnet war. Wir sassen gemütlich im Freien unter Sonnenschirmen und genossen Cappuccino & Eiskaffee, die beide sehr gut und dabei günstig waren. Die junge Bedienung war freundlich und erfüllte bereitwillig einen kleinen Sonderwunsch. Meine uneingeschränkte Empfehlung!

Die ersten wärmenden Sonnenstrahlen treffen die Berger Straße - und die Außenplätze des 'Cafe Wacker'. Der dort servierte Kaffee schmeckt großartig. Leider ist der Serviee reichlich überfordert und auch nicht sonderlich freundlich.

...durchzieht das Marktgelände um das Uhrtürmchen in Frankfurt Bornheim. Man sitzt gemütlich unter einem Sonnenschirm, beobachtet das rege Treiben und trinkt diesen wunderbaren kräftigen Espresso und genehmigt sich dazu ein Stück Himbeertorte (sehr großes Stück) und fühlt sich wie im Himmel und freut sich schon auf den nächsten Besuch...

Mehrfach habe ich dem Traditionshaus eine Chance gegeben, leider bin ich (bis auf 1 Ausnahmen) immer wieder enttäuscht worden. Dass der Kaffee wirklich gut ist steht ausser Frage. Leider legt man offensichtlich so gar keinen Wert darauf, dass dem Kunden ein guter Service geboten wird. Im Aussenbereich wartet man eine kleine Ewigkeit bis man seine Bestellung aufgeben konnte. Hinweise auf ein Glas Wasser wurden, bis auf diese eine Ausnahme, immer ignoriert, Aschenbecher nicht gebracht und Freundlichkeit scheint hier auch ein Fremdwort zu sein. Ich werde jedenfalls das Café auf der Berger Straße künftig meiden. Zum Glück gibt es genügend Alternativen. Unverständlich, dass das Traditionshaus Wacker sowas toleriert!

The cafe has good coffee and sweets, but you should expect bad service if you sit outside (didn’t clean the table, very slow etc.) Also you have to pay only in cash. It sounds strange, but yes, there are still cafes which card payment is not possible in Frankfurt in 2020!!! Not to mention that with the COVID situation they should have accepted contactless payments

Ein schönes, altes und traditionsreiches Kaffeegeschäft am Berger Markt. Eine Institution für Kaffee-Freunde, weil der Kaffee hier wirklich gut schmeckt. Auch die Kuchen- Auswahl ist sehenswert und ist von hoher Qualität. Die Lage am Berger Marktplatz ist auch nicht zu toppen. Leider wirkt das Servicepersonal aber immer extrem gestresst und man hat das Gefühl, daß man als Kunde möglichst schnell und effizient „abgefertigt“ werden soll. Das ist schade und trübt ein wenig den ansonsten sehr stimmigen Gesamteindruck.

Der selbst geröstete Kaffee ist einfach ein Genuss. Der Kuchen ist auch sehr zu empfehlen. Schalter und die Tische sind immer leergeräumt und sauber

Wer kurz verschaufen, oder auch länger die Seele baumeln lassen möchte, ist hier gut aufgehoben. Hervorragende Kaffeespezialitäten aus eigener Rösterei und leckere Naschereien, perfekt für die kleine Auszeit.

Mein Lieblingscafe, es riecht so schön nach Kaffee, und es gibt super Kuchen. Absoluter Wohlfühlort.

Will man eine schöne, gute Tasse Kaffee trinken, dann erhält man diesen nur bei dem Cafe Wacker. An der Hauptwache kann man auch die Kaffeesorten kaufen. Kein Kaffee schmeckt so gut wie hier

Ein Abstecher in die quirlige, ziemlich angesagte Berger Straße in Bornheim lohnt allein schon dieser kleinen Kaffeerösterei wegen: zwei winzige, aber sehr gemütliche Räume; bei schönem Wetter draußen auf dem Platz. Der Kaffee ist ausgesprochen gut, der Kuchen ebenfalls. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis stimmt. Die Bedienung behielt trotz des großen Andrangs einen kühlen Kopf.

Wir kaufen hier immer Kaffeebohnen. Die Wiener Mischung hat es uns angetan. Aber es gibt sehr viele Sorten zur Auswahl.

Super leckere Kuchen. Die Auswahl ist sehr abwechslungsreich. Kaffee schmeckt top! Frisch gemahlen. Preise sind fair. Mitarbeiter sind sehr freundlich.

Best place for light bites as we were sitting under the sun while sipping coffee and enjoying croissant. Cafe Wacker has more cakes and tarts than real breakfast.

The coffee here is good and not too expensive. Plus, they have a nice terrace and it's really nice to chill there when the sun shows up !

The decor is traditional German. They sell very good coffees and cakes. It is good atmosphere and the staff are friendly. The back room is not that nice so it is better to sit in the front or in the summer standing outside facing the small square.

In Sunday, while other shops still close, Wacker's cafe has opened already. In the morning, sunshine is everywhere here. You can choose to sit outside if it's not too cold in winter, or inside, even there is not many places indoor. Cafe is good. I only drink espresso when going out, so I don't have experience with others. But they offer different kinds of coffee here. Old design, which I like very much for a coffee shop. I even can find out a corner beside the windows for working a bit. In fact, I am writing this when I am sitting inside the shop. A recommended place when you are visiting Frankfurt.

Walker is a local heritage. They have an amazing variety of coffees and it is almost impossible to walk by without wanting to stop and breath in the enchanting scent of coffee. If you do so, get a piece of cake, their variety is good. I personally do NOT like the espresso or double espresso as they are very bitter, in my opinion they overdose. In a cappuccino or latte macchiato this should not be a problem though.

Great creamy hot choco + Salami croissant , I swear I was on diet but Almond cream cake ..... dare to ask for more. Love them all.

I love going to Wacker. I go to the one by Hauptwache and the one at Bornheim Mitte. The smell of the coffee and the actual coffee and cakes are great. It is a bit of luxury for me. They also have a great selection of coffees beans to take away with you. Mmmm. I can smell that coffee now.

I love to drink my coffee there and have a special breakfast! Try the cakes they are yammy!!!!! It;s crowded and i feel famous standing there!!! Ilove this place try it!!!

I had walked by the Cafe Wackers several times and always thought "Next time I'm at the Berger I should have a coffee there". The shop front and register area is beautifully decorated in an old-school coffee and tea shop way. There is also another sitting area behind it, which I had missed from the street -- you can't really see it from the outside unless you get close to the windows, which is what kept me from entering a couple of times, thinking it was full! It's also easy to miss the cake expositor, if you enter in a hurry towards the sitting area, but it is there and it is the brightest point of the cafe, in my opinion. I've been to the Cafe Wackers twice so far, the first time I had a hazelnut cake and the second time a cheesecake and poppy seed cake. Both were really good, not too sweet and worth the price, but there is also something for those with a sweet tooth bigger than mine or craving cakes with a lot of cream. Regarding service I got a different set of waitresses each time, and they were all really good. They checked several times in the back, where I was sitting, and the drinks, cakes and check were brought fast when we asked for them. I will definitely be back.

Café Wackers is in the City Center near Haupwache opposite Parkhouse Hauptwache where you can park your car. When in Frankfurt, we always have an espresso at Café Wackers. There are always standing people in-line to order coffee. Sometimes it's so crowded that people have their coffee on the other side of the street.
