We had our company outing there with over 40 people. The food came very quickly despite the many hungry mouths. Not to mention the great beer.

A great restaurant with good, home-brewed beer. Very friendly staff. Lovely beer garden. It's best to arrive by bus or train, as there's limited parking nearby.

We cycled the Tour de Vogel. The first stop was Ettlingen, the second was Durlach, and the final stop was Karlsruhe. It was really busy, as a football match was being broadcast, so we sat outside under the canopy. The service was very friendly! Drinks and food were delivered promptly. Everything was delicious! Everyone got a free drink when paying. 🤩 Conclusion: Highly recommended, we'd love to come back.

The food was cheap, but also a bit pricey in places. The turkey steak was overcooked twice, already brown on the outside. Service was OK. Otherwise, it was nice.

We had lunch at Vogelbräu in Karlsruhe today. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff. The menu was straightforward but sufficient. We had schnitzel and malt schnitzel. We also had a delicious beer 🍺. Everything was fresh and very tasty. Large portions, very good value for money.

The beer garden was quite nice and the food was okay. Unfortunately, we were unlucky enough to have a very annoyed and unfriendly waiter, who seemed to be overly concerned about every order. It's a shame; he could have taken a leaf out of his colleague's book. Then we would have felt more comfortable as guests. Everyone has different tastes in beer, and that's a good thing. Unfortunately, we didn't enjoy it that much.

We quite like it here. It's sometimes a bit crowded, but otherwise it's a nice place.

Unfortunately, the food didn't impress in any culinary sense – even a star would be grossly exaggerated. The preparation seemed careless, as if the food had been experimented upon rather than cooked. To charge for this is almost audacious. A waste of time, hunger, and hope!

Hi, here's the list of deficiencies: 1. Maultaschensuppe (swabian ravioli) and terrine were too salty, despite a complaint, and returned the following day. 2. The breading on the malt schnitzel was rock-hard and difficult to bite into. 3. The knuckle of pork was tough. Staff friendly and attentive.

It's impossible to understand how such an average restaurant could be among the best, even the best, on Google Maps. The food wasn't bad, it was tasty, but the portions weren't appropriate for the price. I chose this place after seeing so many positive reviews – unfortunately, I was disappointed. I'm not sure why, but the waiter told me there was a mandatory 10% tip, but there was no mention of it on the receipt. He also said there was no tap water and wanted to charge me for the water. That was the first and last time. The restaurant next door looked much better, and emptier too. I wish I had gone there.

We were there with another couple. Luckily, we had reservations and were assigned a nice table. We all enjoyed the beer and the dishes. The service was very friendly, and the food was brought to our tables quickly, even though it was very busy. We'll definitely be back.

We ended up here as a large group for a beer as part of the Tour de Vogel. Marc—our assigned server—served us with complete satisfaction. You could tell from his charisma that he felt at home in the beer garden. Thanks Marc!

Very good beer. Not craft beer, but very good home-brewed. The specialty beers are simply fantastic. Always friendly and attentive service. The food is rather below average, but also worth the price.

Food was as expected German. Service was friendly and fast. One word of advice do not order the pork knuckle outside in summer. The flies that love this dish are impressive. Did not have the problem with other dishes like Maultaschen or schnitzel.

Normally, I only write something here when I'm totally enthusiastic. Not today. There's no need to talk about the Vogel beer. It couldn't be better. The food, on the other hand: Over the past few decades, it's always been clear to me that you should only eat at Vogel when you absolutely have to. And then, stick to the basics. And even then, they aren't really good. It wasn't any worse than a mediocre kebab. My "Knusperhaxe" today, however, isn't giving me peace. Happy pigs taste different. And it's nice when rind is crispy. But when the only object within reach with which you can break said rind is the accompanying bread dumpling because the cutlery is too soft (and unsuitable; serrated edges for fried rind!?), it somewhat diminishes the enjoyment of the meal. Besides, such a meat-heavy dish for only fifteen euros can't work if everyone involved is supposed to get away with it. I should have known that, and of course, it's my own fault. The beer was, as I said, very good. The sauce tasted like it came from a bucket and was way too salty.

Friendly, very good service! I had baked meatloaf with sweet mustard, potato salad, and a pretzel! The potato salad tasted "not bad," but it was somehow too warm, and that was with over 30 degrees outside! I didn't like the non-alcoholic wheat beer either, as I was driving! There are better ones!

The beer is supposed to be top-notch, and the food was also good, although the chicken steak was initially burnt and one dish was completely forgotten. In the end, everything was fine, and special requests were also fulfilled. :) I had the weekly special with asparagus.

We were passing through and stumbled upon this restaurant quite by chance. The food, the ambiance, and especially the service were excellent. Our little terrier mix named Mozzarella was also welcome and created a great atmosphere. Highly recommended to any hungry traveler who appreciates local cuisine.

We were here with a group of 6. The service was very bad. Some of the food is inedible. We arrived and were spoken to in an unfriendly manner with “Do you need help?!” We all got the food one by one. The plate was already empty when the next person got their food. My Schupfnudeln were burnt and the ravioli were raw and floury. The roast had the consistency of my belt. The schnitzel, merguez and beer were good. It's best to come here just for beer.

Typical brewery style menu. Nice beer garden where you can watch football on the weekend. From pork knuckle, Mälzerschnitzel and giant bratwurst to Maultaschen and various salads, nothing is left to be desired. There is always warm food and for breakfast there is, among other things, also white sausage. The staff is friendly and you are served quickly.

I also loved Vogelbräu. But then something incredible happened. A tapper did something that was tantamount to being thrown out, and unfortunately the senior manager did not clarify the situation, on the contrary. That's why I'll avoid visiting there in the future.

There are three branches of the Vogelbräu Hausbrauerei. In the city center of Karlsruhe, in the Durlach district and in the neighboring town of Ettlingen. There they brew a tasty, naturally cloudy beer that is second to none. The food doesn't have a gourmet character, but is still home-style and tastes good. The service staff are always very nice. You can also watch football games here. There are enough screens that are easy to see.
