VIVA in Ludwigsburg

A nice atmosphere in itself. However, we were only there to have a drink. But others have eaten steak while they're at it and there's no exhaust for the smoke. In general it also felt like a poorly ventilated room and therefore there was quite bad air inside

We were there on Saturday lunchtime and had the truffle burger, tomato soup and shrimp starters. The food came quickly and was very tasty. The same goes for the desserts. The service was very friendly and accommodating. The ambience of the restaurant is also very chic and inviting. All in all it was great, would highly recommend it!

VIVA itself has no parking facilities. But there are plenty of parking garages within walking distance. The terrace is quite close to a street right at the entrance to the restaurant. The seating arrangement in the restaurant seemed a bit awkward. The restaurant itself is a bit small and accordingly tightly packed. The cheeseburger was very good, although upon request they charged €1 for chili peppers (4-5 chopped pieces). There was cheese added in a syringe. The taste of the burger was between good and very good. I would have liked the side dish of fries with some fries seasoning. For dessert we had tiramisu. To our surprise, it didn't taste like coffee as usual but like cinnamon. The taste of cinnamon wasn't intense, but it was unexpected. I would definitely rename it because this type of dessert was not and is not tiramisu. Still very, very well done. The service was friendly and all orders were served seamlessly. Thank you!

The food is of good quality and tastes good too. Unfortunately, the portions are quite small, so the price/performance ratio suffers. A wheat beer for €6 doesn't necessarily help with the increase... Unfortunately, our waiter couldn't shine when it came to service. He seemed very arrogant, correspondingly unsympathetic and not particularly customer-oriented. (We weren't even proactively asked if we wanted to order anything else in 2 hours) The ambience is nice, but the tables are very close together, which is doubly uncomfortable with the sizzling on the hot stones at the table. The bottom line is that there is potential but only average utilization.

We happened to be in this restaurant and wanted to have a drink and some dessert. The waiter seemed a bit annoyed because we didn't want to order anything to eat. I chose the tiramisu and wanted to know what the ingredients were due to my intolerance. The waitress just said condescendingly "It's a secret recipe and he can't tell me the ingredients because it's too secret!". I found the answer very condescending and snooty. Because I didn't want the exact recipe, I just wanted to find out whether certain ingredients were included. I waved him off (because I found his behavior very rude) and ordered one anyway. And also an elderberry spritzer. Which unfortunately tasted more like mineral water than elderberry. When my tiramisu came, I was a bit surprised. I was expecting cocoa powder, but everything was sprinkled with cinnamon and therefore very cinnamon-heavy. For people who like little or hardly any cinnamon, this should actually be on the menu. But it doesn't! All in all, we sat there for a while and were ignored even though the restaurant wasn't full. In between, the waiter came and continued to clear my plate in annoyance. All in all, the service was neither friendly nor attentive to us guests. Therefore we will certainly not come back and recommend it to others.

Simply TOP!!! Great ambience, friendly staff and of course not to forget, very tasty dishes. We came by spontaneously during the week and got a place without a reservation. We ordered steak and the feta burger. The tiramisu is also very good. Everything was very very tasty!!! I can only recommend!!!

Just great. The four of us spontaneously went by. Since everything was probably fully booked/reserved, the request came straight away that we had to leave at a certain time. If that was known in advance, that wouldn't be a problem! The service was good, the food was extremely tasty and there were a few interesting concepts. All in all a nice experience.

One of the best steak restaurants. The concept is that you get the meat grilled and then continue to grill it on a hot stone at the table until you reach your personal level of doneness. The meat was of absolute top quality and was super tasty. The selection of side dishes and sauces also offers a good addition. The ambience is nice, unfortunately you sit outside directly on the street. I can definitely recommend the restaurant to all steak lovers!

The steaks weren't really well done and overpriced for the quality. The store offers a little bit of everything and doesn't really have a style or concept in my opinion. Unfortunately it didn't convince us.

Hands down the best beef restaurant I have visited in Germany. You get this hot stone where you continue grilling your high quality beef. Staff is very friendly and professional to fulfill your hungry needs.

The meat was very tasty, but the salad with it was unimaginative and unloving. The reaction of the staff was not unfriendly but not appropriate either.

The steaks here are amazing and the hot stone brought with the steak allows you to finish the steak to your optimum doneness: rare, medium or well done. The grilled vegetables are another high mark. Wait staff are attentive and friendly. Our group visited VIVA twice during our stay since it was so good.

I visited Viva again after a long time and was always very impressed. Nice ambience, delicious food and great service. I ordered a steak, which was super tasty and tender (you can taste the good quality here). However, I was a bit disappointed with the side dishes this time... The fries were way over fried so they were very hard, and the portions used to be twice as large. The sauces are also only 1/4 full. I think you can expect a little more for the price. What I also don't understand is that you pay €6 extra for sweet potato fries with a steak and only €4 for a cheeseburger.

We were there last night and just wanted to have a drink and a salad. Unfortunately we were very disappointed. The gentleman who served us was very unfriendly and rude. Every “extra request” (e.g. payment by card) was too much for him and he reacted rudely. The salads were prepared rather carelessly and definitely not worth the money and could have been fresher/washed better. Too bad we won't be back :(

I have been to VIVA several times and have always been completely satisfied. The staff is very attentive, professional and friendly. I've already eaten steaks, burgers and desserts and I can't complain. Tastes perfect, beautifully prepared and just the right portion. The drinks here are also very tasty. The restaurant is nicely decorated and is very centrally located. Can only recommend the VIVA in Ludwigsburg!

The really nice waiter was irritated that we sat down ourselves (it wasn't obvious that we had to wait). We were allowed to remain seated at the mercy of the waiter. Fries were very salty, the atmosphere outside... Cozy is different. Probably a “place to be”. We don't have to have it again. 😊

The two of us were here after work and sat outside, which was really uncomfortable because of the noisy street. It was visually nicer inside, but given the heat we wanted to sit outside. I wasn't very hungry and just wanted a small side salad. But I was denied this with the advice that it only comes with a main course. Ok, then I'll have the truffle fries and the small side salad. No, that doesn't work either. So my colleague ordered the salad for me with her burger. Sorry, but what's that supposed to mean? I've never experienced that anywhere. As if the kitchen knew who the side salad belonged to. The salad tasted ok, the truffle fries tasted quite good. Service is really subpar and the store won't see me anymore.

The dishes we have eaten so far have been good. The meat is of great quality. The service is solid but could be improved. The atmosphere is very appealing. The terrace is right on the street but it's still nice to sit there. There is also a good selection of drinks.

Unfriendly telephone encounter. Shortly before my arrival this was canceled because they probably had a breakdown in the kitchen. Traveled an extra 30 kilometers.

Fantastic food, first-class service and great ambience at VIVA Ludwigsburg! As soon as we entered the restaurant we received a very friendly welcome. The friendly service and stylish furnishings create a cozy atmosphere that perfectly rounds off the dining experience. The excellent dishes were simply delicious from the starters to the dessert. We immediately felt at home and will definitely come back. A real insider tip for everyone who appreciates good food in a great ambience!

I went to Restaurant Viva for the first time today on the recommendation of a friend and I wasn't disappointed. The service was excellent - the waitress was very friendly, courteous and really attentive. We really enjoyed the delicious food and the football game in the cozy atmosphere. I particularly recommend the fish that the waitress recommended to me - it was simply fantastic. I can recommend Restaurant Viva to anyone looking for super tasty food. We'll definitely be back! Pooh! Hands off! Before the renovation you were so great and I recommended you all the time, but after the renovation you're going downhill! Today I was dining there again after almost 3 months and no, I'll never do that to myself again. First of all, the menu has been revised so that only the expensive dishes are on it. The Spicy Fusiloni are no longer available very sadly. In addition, the fries were no longer a large portion as usual but rather very minny. My feta burger isn't even a hand big! My friend, who usually doesn't finish the pasta because it was so filling, didn't even get full. The fries used to be too much for me and now I don't feel anything in my stomach after the portions. Well, with the high prices and the food, at least the service should be good, but that's wrong here. The first question about whether cocktails were already being served was a lesson for me. The cocktail was spilled while being served, but well, no. As a long-time ViVa customer, I asked about the Spicy Fusiloni, and my partner got confused during the conversation and became lectured in a know-it-all manner by the nice bald waiter from the movie Split. Other workers next to us were called to work or, at the end, hummed a song and whistled when they were paid. If you're being too fancy, Micki, then at least do it smartly. That's it for you! One less regular customer!

One of the best restaurants I've had the pleasure of being in. I had a steak at an unbeatable price (lunch). It was very delicious!! The service was very friendly and funny! We felt comfortable all around. At the end we got dessert on the house! Just crazy!

2 days later we are still processing what was served to us here and what we fell for based on the reviews. A beginner's mistake, certainly, but perhaps we come from a time when people knew the difference between food and food and food and gastronomy were more or less honest. Our ambition was not to eat a steak, but rather to end a wonderful evening with light dishes. You can accept that it's relatively loud there, but the ambience is also a matter of taste, that wasn't what we expected and you can lower your expectations. But I have NEVER been presented with such inferior quality in my life. Steak wasn't our thing that evening, as mentioned, but it must be possible for a "steakhouse" to serve everything else on the menu in a decent quality and not just serve the lowest quality convenience food on the plate. The truffle cream from Lidl is probably used everywhere here, fries, burgers and much more, okay, but the fact that even the pasta is mixed with it and ends up on the table as a mush has nothing to do with cooking or catering. And actually, steakhouses also offer good salads that don't come out of a bag. Sorry, but we don't understand how such food even finds buyers. What's wrong with people? And where do these reviews come from? We are still shocked. I'm not interested in the price-performance ratio at all, a meal or preparation like this is simply cheating, even if the pamp noodles cost half as much, but well, charging €17 is pretty cheeky and tops it all off. The drinks were ok and the toilet was clean to end the review here on a positive note.

We spontaneously decided to reserve a table at VIVA and were still given a place. Visually, the restaurant looks inviting from the outside and inside. There is a pleasant atmosphere in the restaurant and the lighting concept creates a cozy atmosphere. There is a small lamp and spices on each table. I found the chairs very comfortable, but my companion didn't like them. When we arrived at the restaurant we were shown straight to our table and served. We also had our cocktails on the table very quickly. I had the Vida Loca, which was good, but didn't suit my taste 100%. My companion had the Creamy Berry and really liked it. A positive thing to mention is the good amount of alcohol in the cocktails. Nevertheless, I am of the opinion that one milliliter is a must for every drink, because I was wondering why my cocktail only had half the amount as that of my companion. The dishes we ordered also came to the table very quickly or almost at the same time as our drinks. I had the Argentinian roast beef (200g) with fries and extra herb butter. The meat was very tender and tasty. The fries were nothing special, but they were also very good with the dips that came with them. We had to pay an extra €1 for the herb butter and found the amount to be far too small. The preparation of the steak is something very special in this restaurant, as you don't get the meat ready on the table, but prepare it yourself on a stone slab according to your preferences. This was an unusual experience for me as I had never eaten my meat like this before. Personally, however, I have to say that I prefer the classic way of making a finished steak because it allows the blood and herb butter to mix together and creates a delicious sauce. Because individual slices of meat are fried here, this doesn't happen. After a while I got better at searing the meat to my liking and would definitely repeat this new experience again. My companion had the Viva Cheeseburger with sweet potato fries. There was also sour cream and a syringe filled with cheese. In combination everything tasted very good. However, my companion later regretted not having a steak as mine tasted so tender and delicious. For dessert we shared the Viva Pancake Maxi King and have to say that it was definitely a dream. It was very large and fit us perfectly. There was also a syringe filled with chocolate (I assume Nutella) and bananas, strawberries and cream included. Everything together tasted incredibly good and I can only recommend this dessert. The service was very good at the beginning of the evening, but unfortunately it decreased a bit towards the end. When we finished our dessert, we had to wait a while before we could pay and leave. Finally, I can only say that this restaurant is highly recommended and the new way of eating or frying your meat is something completely new. The dishes and drinks are very tasty, which guarantees a next visit and can be overlooked even beyond the little things.

Er wirkt sehr kompetent und scheint deutlich an Verbesserung und höherem Niveau interessiert zu sein. Er hat zugesagt das intern eingehend zu besprechen und möchte dafür Sorge tragen, dass so etwas nicht mehr vorkommt. Falls das so eintritt, freut es uns. Rezension Kurzfassung: Geburtstagserlebnis zerstört, für teures Geld. Essen zu 2 Personen für 79€ und nichtmal eine Wunderkerze im Glas. Dafür aber fehlender Respekt und zur Bank laufen für Bargeld. Ausführliche Beschreibung: Tisch hatte ich für den 16.05.2024 reserviert. Telefonisch reserviert am 09.05. Zweifache Betonung, dass es ein Geburtstag ist und ich eine Kleinigkeit als Vorbereitung erwarte. Zur Not auf die Rechnung setzen. Mir wurde das zugesagt mit der Bitte, das vor Ort nochmals zu erwähnen. Fand ich unhöflich, kann man sich ja notieren, habe es dennoch bestätigt. Am 15.05. habe ich nochmals angerufen und mir sowohl die Uhrzeit nochmals bestätigen lassen, als auch den Hinweis bzgl. Geburtstag nochmals gegeben. Es hieß alles klar. Am 16.05. um 20:00 kommen wir nun an. Ich sage deutlich "Wir sind der Geburtstagstisch." Statt einer netten entspannten Begrüßung und gemütlich ankommen bei einem Getränk, wurden wir VOR dem Hinsetzen noch genötigt Bargeld zu besorgen, da die Kasse scheinbar mit Wasser übergossen wurde. Da fragt man sich schon, was Wasser in der Nähe einer Kasse oder des Mobilgerätes zu suchen hat. Und wieso man keine Ersatzgeräte vor Ort hat oder einen Bringservice engagiert. Name des Kellners ist uns unbekannt, da er sich nicht vorgestellt hatte. (Auch unhöflich.) Ein kleiner Mann, deutlicher italienischer Akzent, kein besonders gutes Deutsch. Dieser Mann war auch nicht besonders freundlich und nannte mich penetrant immer wieder Signora. Weder bin ich Italienerin, noch sehe ich italienisch aus und möchte so auch nicht genannt werden. Ich erwähnte wie unpassend das sei, mich nicht vor dem Dinner zu informieren und nun noch zur Bank laufen zu müssen, vor dem Essen, am Geburtstag meines Sohnes. Der Restaurant Leiter, ging kurz dazwischen und meinte zu ihm, er solle uns erstmal essen lassen. Da die Stimmung bereits auf dem Nullpunkt war und wir die Zeit nach dem Essen entspannt wollten, bin ich los gelaufen und habe meinen erwachsenen Sohn (Geburtstagskind) alleine zurück lassen müssen. So stellt man sich eine Geburtstagsüberraschung vor. Nicht. Zurück zum Restaurant sagte der Kellner im vorbeilaufen ein desinteressiert es Danke. Ich betonte, dass ich das Sche**** fand. Er arrogant mir entgegnet "Was das soll? Was er machen soll, wenn Wasser über der Kasse war" bla bla bla. Völlig respektlos. So behandelt man Kunden nicht. Irgend eine Überraschung zum Geburtstag folgte natürlich nicht. Auch keine Erwähnung seinerseits. Mögliche Lösungen wären gewesen: 1. Mich anrufen. Wir hatten 2 Telefonate. Der Kellner hatte meine Nummer und hätte uns rechtzeitig informieren können, damit es mir keinen extra Aufwand macht und uns das Geburtstagsessen zerstört wird. So hätten wir auf dem Weg dahin mehr Zeit einplanen können und zum Bankomat fahren. Wäre alles fein gewesen. 2. Für Ersatzgeräte im Vorfeld sorgen, als Backup für Notfälle. Solche Geräte kann man für kleines Geld leihen und hat ein Backup, wenn das Standard Kassensystem ausfällt. Sollte jedes Restaurant haben heutzutage. 3. Notfall Hotline für Kassensysteme schnell beauftragen und das Problem noch am Abend fixen. Dafür existieren Dienstleister mit 24/7 Hotline. Liste mit Dienstleister dafür hat der Inhaber von mir inzwischen erhalten. 4. Bei einem Betrag von 79€ für 2 Personen, kann ich erwarten, dass am Geburtstag zumindest eine Wunderkerze im Drink landet oder ein Geburtstagscocktail gemacht wird oder von mir aus Lametta spontan werfen, um den Geburtstagsgast ein kleines besonderes Erlebnis zu gönnen. Kosteninvestition wäre hier im Cent-Bereich möglich. Sonst ein Muffin oder Ähnliches. Ich hätte es sogar bezahlt, was ich am Telefon auch erwähnte. Unglaublich so eine Bitte komplett zu ignorieren. 5. Der Kellner muss regelmäßig Blickkontakt zum Gast pflegen. Ich war jedes Mal mehr als angestrengt, ihn zu suchen und anzusprechen, dass wir noch etwas brauchen. Zumal er dauerhaft privat gesprochen hat. Selbst nach auffälligem Rufen, hat dieser italienische Kellner rein gar nichts verbessert. Was ist das bitte für ein Service? Einfach unglaublich inkompetent. Diese Person sollte nie wieder mit Menschen zu tun haben dürfen im Gastro Bereich. Ich betonte, dass der Restaurant Leiter äußerst freundlich war und wir mit anderen Mitarbeitern keinen Kontakt hatten an diesem Abend. (ich vermute dass er die Leitung hat. Grosser Mann, hellbraune Haare.) 6. Schult bitte eure Mitarbeiter in punkto respektvolle Kommunikation und Service. Man kann nicht jede Frau als Signora betiteln. Das ist einfach plump und unangebracht. Eine deutsche Ansprache ist angebracht. Das höfliche Sie reicht völlig aus. Mitarbeiter müssen lernen, sich Wünsche des Kunden zu notieren und diese auch unaufgefordert auszuführen. 7. Löst bitte Probleme, ohne dass der Gast es mitbekommen muss und erhebliche Nachteile hat. Für uns war das Geburtstagserlebnis kaputt. Bereue es euch ausgewählt zu haben. Diesen besonderen Abend bekommen wir leider nicht zurück. Auch habe ich nichtmal eine Quittung für meine Zahlung erhalten. Ein unfreundliches "Signora danke Ciao." Leider ein trauriges Erlebnis für uns. Ob wir dem VIVA nochmals eine Chance geben, wissen wir aktuell noch nicht.

He seems very competent and clearly seems interested in improvement and higher standards. An unfriendly “Signora thank you Ciao.” What an experience.

There were two of us and we sat outside. Very noisy from the adjacent street. The tables and chairs were clean, but not really visually inviting. The interior is much higher quality. As for the drinks, it has to be mentioned that the Aperol was also pretty bland visually. By far the biggest drawback that evening was that our order was completely lost (which can happen), but we only noticed this after an hour of waiting and there was no response at all from the restaurant. As far as the food is concerned, the price-performance ratio was not right. The burger for €16.50 was okay, but nothing more. There are significantly better and cheaper alternatives in the area. And another €4 on top because you eat wild potatoes instead of fries doesn't really make sense to me either. We went to Viva with great expectations, but were very disappointed. After this visit, the restaurant definitely doesn't live up to its reputation and prices. In my opinion, too many compromises are made (service, outdoor furnishings, menu, quality of the food) according to the motto “there's a lot there, but nothing right”.

A very nice shop. The food was great. I had beef that I could cook myself to my liking on a stone at my place. The staff was extremely nice and funny. Any time. Oh yes and the espresso is very good!

Great experience, minimal staff extends wait time for services

Very nice restaurant and the food was also delicious. Unfortunately, with the burgers we didn't get the homemade sauce or the fries, which according to the menu should actually be standard. Nevertheless, we pay 5 euros extra for the oven vegetables, which should actually have been in exchange 🤔 That's why I deducted two stars...

New in Ludwigsburg and my first port of call when it comes to food. Very friendly service and the steaks there are a must for anyone who loves steak.

Fantastic restaurant. We've been there now couple of times and always satisfied with the food and atmosphere. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. There is a lot of parking around so also transportation is not an issue.

Stylish ambience, recommended at any time of day. Friendly and attentive staff, which you unfortunately no longer find everywhere, are always trying to fulfill all of the guest's wishes. Fillet burgers and sweet potato fries are highly recommended, as is the option to prepare your own Argentinian or Australian meat on the hot stone, depending on your own wishes. However, the high quality of the food is also reflected in the price.

I just wanted a portion of potatoes, then the bill came as a shock: €12 for potatoes. No joke!!! Unfortunately just brazen and cheeky. When asked, there was no nice or accommodating answer. Rude and disappointing. I won't eat there again.

Staff very nice and friendly! Burgers were tasty in themselves but a bit smaller than normal. The meat was juicy and the truffle mayo tasted really good.

I forgot there my sunglasses Prada and they told me they dont have responsibility for my glasses .

Unfortunately, my wife forgot her Prada sunglasses there, and when we contacted the restaurant, they informed us that they don't take responsibility for lost items. This lack of accountability and indifference towards customer belongings is disappointing and reflects poorly on their customer service.

We had dinner as a family. We went without making a reservation, but it would be good to make one before going. A table was set for an hour, we didn't intend to sit for long anyway. The meat was delicious; Frankly, we were pleased. However, the service and environment were in a rush. The lady who served us seemed quite bored. Before we even got up from the table, the table started to be cleared. Frankly, although we were pleased with the food, we were not satisfied with the service and atmosphere. Maybe they were in a difficult situation because we went without making a reservation.

Non-European atmosphere... Shame.

We have been to VIVA several times and are very satisfied every time. The food used is of very good quality and the service is very attentive and courteous. The price-performance ratio is absolutely top.

Quality and service excellent I decided to take a steak, but didn't know that I had to fry it myself. To each his own, but it wasn't mine that I had to fry it myself on a hot stone. It may be possible to have the option for the kitchen to serve it ready to the desired doneness. Otherwise, gladly again :)

The dessert was very tasty, we ate the San Sebastian cheesecake and pistachio tiramisu once. And both were super delicious!!

The ambience is basically great, but in my opinion there is a bit of space (tight seating) Update: this time we sat at the back, after the bar, it's much more pleasant to sit there Steak great, higher price range but price/performance top.

I've been there twice now and think the food is good. However, my food wasn't outstanding. In this respect, a correspondingly good rating from me. The service can also be improved. I find it extremely unfortunate to often walk past a table with empty glasses and not actively ask. Especially when you consider that this restaurant focuses on fine dining. That's disappointing. Otherwise everything was good including paying.

The restaurant is great. Had a feta 🍔. It was a pleasure and for me it was a good price/performance ratio. The restaurant specializes in steak and offers three vegetarian options. I still really liked it. Service great. One star deducted because the seats are a bit cramped.
