Viva is a fantastic restaurant. The two of us went there and were thrilled. The meat was delicious and fresh, and the fries and sauces were also excellent! The staff was very attentive and friendly. We'd love to come back again!

A delight and a special way to enjoy your steak. The non-alcoholic cocktails were delicious, and the appetizers were also worth it. The crispy feta cheese is highly recommended, but there's plenty of it, so it's good for sharing. Sabine didn't like the fries so much, but she did like the fillet steak. The service was very friendly. Sabine wasn't too keen on the selection of alcoholic mixed drinks. Overall, highly recommended, although you wouldn't expect it from the outside—be sure to stop in.

Unfortunately, this positive impression was significantly dampened by the reception. When we stated that we only wanted to order three cocktails and one fries, we were told in a very stern and condescending tone that this was a restaurant and that this wasn't actually planned. It's generally understandable that a certain minimum purchase is expected, especially from my own experience in the restaurant industry. However, communication with guests should always be respectful and friendly. From that moment on, we unfortunately had the impression that we were treated equally unfriendly by all the other employees. We felt very unwelcome. No one asked if everything was okay, and overall, any kind of attention one would normally expect in a restaurant was lacking. If there is a clear rule that drinks can only be ordered in conjunction with a meal, it would be sensible and transparent to clearly state this on the website or on-site. This would avoid misunderstandings and clarify expectations from the start. We would, however, like to specifically highlight the waiter who finally took our money. He was the only person who was truly friendly and attentive and made us feel welcome. It's a shame that the great location was overshadowed by the overall unfriendly treatment – ​​with the exception of this one employee.

We arrived at 9 p.m. for dessert and cocktails, but we were told (by the bald waiter) that we had to leave the table because it was a shame to occupy it just for something like that. We had a reservation for 6 p.m. on a Friday. The food and the ambiance were very nice. After less than two hours, we were asked to leave because our table was being rebooked. We weren't asked if we wanted another espresso, and we weren't even allowed to choose a dessert. Considering the prices, that kind of service isn't exactly hospitable. We moved on and had dessert and some more drinks somewhere else.

This very busy restaurant is a short distance away from the main eating strips in Ludwigsburg, but is definitely worth the walk. Inside and outside seating, multi-lingual staff (we heard German, Italian, Spanish and English while we were there) who were easy-going and engaging. Good length menu with plenty of dietary options. Chicken burger was delicious - no side salad required here. We had no trouble getting a table without a reservation, but a reservation seems like a good idea for a return visit and if you really want to enjoy the food and company.

Our Visit to VIVA We recently visited the VIVA restaurant in Ludwigsburg and tried two dishes: the chicken burger menu and the chicken salad. What we particularly liked • Chicken burger menu: The menu was very tasty. The burger itself was fresh and well-seasoned, the chicken crispy and juicy. The portion was sufficient – we were particularly impressed by the crispy fries that came with it. We also found the price-performance ratio to be good overall. What we didn't like • Chicken salad: Unfortunately, the chicken salad was rather disappointing. The chicken was okay, but the ratio to the other ingredients wasn't right for us. The combination seemed poorly thought out, and we didn't really like the taste of this dish. We would therefore advise against ordering the chicken salad, especially since the menu is much better. Conclusion If you're in the mood for a burger, VIVA in Ludwigsburg is a good choice – the chicken burger with fries is a definite recommendation. However, we would prefer a different salad option.

Dear Sir or Madam, The visit to the restaurant was actually okay. The food arrived reasonably quickly (about 20 minutes for two burgers) and tasted solid. Unfortunately, the overall impression was massively ruined by the service at the end of the evening. The waitress (a dark-skinned woman) was initially extremely pleasant and very nice, but things became really unpleasant when it came to paying. Because I decided not to tip (which, in my opinion, isn't required, but rather a voluntary acknowledgement of good service), I was dismissed with a noticeably condescending look and a rude "ciao." It's a shame, really, because I found the waitress pleasant. This ruined the entire image of the restaurant. Just because I didn't get a tip, to be served like that in the end? Come on. Tipping is a choice, not an obligation. The food there has already become extremely expensive (€17 for a meal without a drink), and tips are expected as if they were a given. Professional behavior should be possible even if none is given. It's a shame, because something like that unfortunately stays in your memory more than the food itself.

The herb butter was served frozen, which made it difficult to use, and I was also unnecessarily lectured about the way I eat my food. Why do you look at your customers’ plates and tell them how they “shouldn’t” eat something? After the main course we had to wait around 25 minutes before we could even order dessert, which was incomprehensible in an almost empty restaurant. Our compliment on the dessert was also ignored, and even the well-intentioned large tip was accepted without comment - a friendly “thank you” would probably have been too much to ask. Overall, a place with potential that was unfortunately lost due to a lack of service culture. Unfortunately we will NOT be coming back. Ich hatte heute ein sehr leckeres Rib-Eye Steak bei VIVA. Dieses kam englisch vorgebraten zusammen mit einem heißen Stein. Beim Schneiden des Fleisches konnte man die exzellente Qualtät des Fleisches erkenen. Die Stücke hat man dann einzeln auf dem Stein gebraten. Die Pommes und das Pfannengemüse waren als Beilage mit 3 verschiedenen Soßen eine wunderbare Ergänzung. Das Fleisch auf dem heißen Stein selber zu braten erfordert natürlich eigene Aktivität und Aufmerksamkeit für ein tolles Ergebnis.

Wir waren als größere Gruppe afterwork montags abends um 18 Uhr im Viva essen und nach unserer Bestellung wurde allen Ernstes ein Gruppenmitglied vom Oberkellner an die Bar zitiert und dort ermahnt, dass dies ein Steak Lokal sei und man hier mindestens für 40€ pro Person etwas zu essen hätte (und am besten ein Steak). Das Restaurant war fast leer, wir haben alle etwas gegessen und getrunken und bestimmt keinen besser zahlenden Gästen den Platz geraubt. Für uns ein absolutes NoGo, Gästen in unfreundlichster Weise vorzuschreiben, was sie zu bestellen haben und auch noch zu behaupten, bei der Reservierung sei auf diesen Mindestverzehr pro Person(!) hingewiesen worden. Wo gibt es denn sowas? Mögen die Steaks so gut sein wie sie wollen, mit diesem unmöglichen Verhalten Gästen gegenüber wird das Viva keinen von uns wiedersehen.

⭐ 1 star – Disrespectful service & questionable rules! We were there with a group of eleven people and ordered various dishes, including several appetizers and cocktails. However, the service was an absolute disaster. I was refused to order the truffle fries because they are only served in combination with a starter or main course - even though they are listed on the menu under "Specials" and not as a side dish. Instead, we were informed that it was a steakhouse and not a “snack bar”. Interestingly, the website only says "Steaks | Burgers | Pasta | Cocktails | Desserts", which definitely doesn't sound like just a steak restaurant. We didn't know until now that you are told what to order in a restaurant. The height of impudence: Our colleague who made the reservation was quoted from the group and lectured in a condescending tone about the fact that a minimum spend of 40 euros per person is required for reservations - information that was neither communicated beforehand nor was it visible anywhere. Particularly incomprehensible since we had even called in advance to adjust the number of people we had reserved. As if that wasn't enough, another colleague, who was already there at 5:45 p.m., was harshly informed that our reservation was only valid from 6:00 p.m. Even though the table was already empty, she wasn't allowed to sit down early - instead, she had to wait until 6:00 p.m. sharp to sit down. Simply great! The Viva in Ludwigsburg impressed us completely. The atmosphere is modern and inviting, the staff incredibly friendly and attentive. We particularly like the steak on the hot stone - a real experience that's fun every time! The food is always fresh, tasty and prepared with great attention to detail. We only had a coffee with the dessert San Sebastian Cheesecake. The cappuccino tasted absolutely nothing but milk. The cake was ok but too much like lemon. The prices for the desserts are very exaggerated. The blackcurrant spritzer had hardly any carbonation. Unfortunately I can't say anything good about the operation. The table next door had steaks, looked pretty good, maybe it's just a place to eat :)

We felt very comfortable and warmly welcomed in the restaurant. The food (Argentinian ribeye steak 300g) was served very quickly and tasted wonderful. With the hot stone on the plate, you could finish frying the pieces you had cut to size on each cut side to your desired cooking point and every bite remained hot until the end. For dessert we ordered the San Sebastian and a huge pancake in a pan and here too the quality was just as high. The price was more than fair to what we were offered!

Sorry, aber wenn ich 50€ pro Person liegen lasse, dann erwarte nicht zwangsläufig mehr Stil, aber mehr Anstand damit ich mein Essen auch genießen kann.

We had a burger and spaghetti once. The burger was okay, but below average for a steakhouse. With the spaghetti (the portion was tiny) we were given a non-transparent grilled vegetable that was then added to the bill at 7 euros - for just a few pieces of vegetables. When we asked why it was so expensive, we got a snippy answer that it was always like that and there was no need to say it. We found this kind of treatment a shame.

Without a reservation we were seated at an extremely drafty table and with the attitude “you're glad you got a table in this crazy restaurant” - but okay, our fault, make a reservation next time or, even better, don't go at all. Sponge over it, the second dish killed the bird. We wanted to order several small appetizers, but that wasn't possible because otherwise the sales wouldn't be right. It came down to a pasta with tomato sauce for €16.50. First of all, a blatant announcement and should also be able to create a “steakhouse”. The pasta was ultimately completely overcooked and you could swallow it without biting and the packet of Miracoli tomato sauce rounded it all off. There's also a nice shisha bar atmosphere, but whoever likes it 🥰 Steak 5/10 Pasta 0/10 Service 0/10 We will no longer come or recommend this.

Wow. We were warmly welcomed. Ambiance looks great and cozy. The food is super delicious. And be sure to try the cheesecake. It runs in the mouth. Employees are in a good mood and enjoy their job. But reservations are recommended, otherwise it could be difficult to find a place.
