Vipho in Frankfurt am Main

We were here again tonight after a long time. I really enjoyed the pho bo noodle soup with tender grilled strips of beef steak. The meat was still pink when the dish arrived, which I especially appreciated. The portion was perfect; I would have liked a little more vegetables (carrot, chili, etc.). The bun – Vietnamese rice noodles with strips of beef steak – was delicious, simply excellent. The noodles were nice and warm, and the vegetables were fresh and cool. A great evening with good food. The service was very friendly until the end, but paying the bill took a long time. We had to remind them several times over the course of 30 minutes that we wanted to pay.

Highly recommended. Great food, large portions, and good value for money. We suggest booking a table online as the restaurant was full when we got there.

Despite being certified US meat, the meat was not tasty. The soup was supposedly free of MSG, but that doesn't explain why it wasn't well-seasoned. It's possible to make tasty soup without MSG; this wasn't the case here. Extremely expensive: two spring rolls for €8—this cannot be justified by inflation!

Friendly service, nice atmosphere, but quite loud. The food was okay, but didn't impress me personally (the duck confit should have cooked longer to be like a confit; the vegetables weren't tender but half-raw).

I went to ViPho in Frankfurt with a friend and was honestly quite disappointed. I’d consider myself somewhat of a pho enthusiast, so I was looking forward to trying their *pho bo*. We ordered the spring rolls, crispy pork, and pho bo. The food came quickly, and the service was okay. I asked to be seated somewhere else and was told to wait, but nothing ever happened. The appetizers were definitely pricey. Two spring rolls cut in half for €8.50 feels excessive, and the crispy pork was just okay at best, also overpriced at €9. The *pho bo* looked fresh, but the broth was bland and lacked depth. The portion size was fine, but at €18.90 it’s more expensive than other Vietnamese restaurants in Frankfurt where you can get a much tastier bowl for about €15. The restaurant itself has a nice, modern look, but some of the seats aren’t very comfortable. When it gets crowded, it feels tight and noisy. It’s also worth mentioning that this isn’t a fine dining place, yet the bill was definitely one of a fine dining place. For what you get, the price simply isn’t justified. Overall, I’d give it 1 star; mainly because the service and location were okay. The food, however, was mediocre and not worth the price. I honestly don’t understand all the glowing reviews. There are plenty of better and more authentic Vietnamese spots in Frankfurt that offer more flavor, comfort, and value.

Other people's reviews seem like they're from another country: our portions (5) were significantly too small, especially the rice (even when reordering) was always cold to lukewarm at best. The quality of the food was average at best. You practically have to beg for extras like soy sauce or chili.

Food very good and fast service

I've been going there with my family for years, and I'm more than satisfied every time. The service is very good, and the food is simply fantastic. The prices have gone up a bit in recent years, but that hasn't changed the quality. The garden is lovely to sit in. All in all, very good.

Always a little treat with a few minor drawbacks. The delicacies are a true reward, and I'm happy to come back. Unfortunately, the seating arrangements often seem a bit over the top and take away some of the lightness of the visit. A little more serenity would make the experience perfect.

Shrinkflation best describes my visit. The portions are smaller and the price has gone up. It still tastes good, but the value for money is no longer there. A bun hardly costs anything when you're serving less meat/salad/herbs.

Good food , good vibes here. I just randomly enter the restaurant but I found a treasure here. The food is yummy, they serve hot with a good quality of ingredients. It was perfect meal for me. Most important thing, the staffs are nice and super friendly! The have menu in English and accept card payment.

Had a wonderful evening at this restaurant. The interior created a great atmosphere and most importantly the food was delicious. The family members I had in my group were not overly happy with my restaurant choice but they were completely converted after they tried the food. Everything was fresh and full of flavor. Staff were friendly and helpful and we definitely would go back next time we are in Frankfurt

Vipho is one of my favorite places on Orderweg. I really enjoy their food and have been a regular since 2019. The service is friendly, and the quality of the food has always been excellent. Although prices are increasing like everywhere else, the food remains very tasty. I like it so much and will keep coming back!

Highly recommended! In my opinion, Vipho is the best authentic Vietnamese restaurant in Frankfurt. The dishes taste like they do in Vietnam – fresh, aromatic, and perfectly prepared. Almost every dish is served with fresh herbs, as you would expect from Vietnam – simply delicious! A particularly convenient feature: you can easily reserve a table online. The service is super friendly and attentive, and you immediately feel welcome. The peaceful summer garden is a wonderful place to relax and escape the hustle and bustle of the city. If you're looking for authentic Vietnamese food, this is the place for you!

Unfortunately, the restaurant didn't impress me. I ordered pho, but the dish was disappointing in terms of taste, definitely not what you'd expect from authentic pho. The price was completely exorbitant. It's a shame, because the ambiance was actually quite pleasant. Unfortunately, the value for money isn't right here.

Great place. I remember it as a bar with DJs. Beautiful interior and exterior design by a friend of mine, the design studio 707 Krea. Friendly and very attentive service. Delicious, authentic Vietnamese cuisine, which you can even peek inside. There's a large outdoor area right outside on the traffic-calmed Oeder Weg. Love it.

The food in the restaurant is generally good, which I really appreciate. However, I find the prices significantly higher compared to other good Vietnamese restaurants in Frankfurt. I find the summer rolls, which cost €8.50 here, and the sticky rice with mango for €10.90 particularly excessive. At another Vietnamese restaurant, I pay only between €6.50 and €7 for similar dishes.

The Vipho restaurant at Eschenheimer Tor offers a great ambiance and an excellent culinary experience. We were shown directly to our table by the staff without having a reservation (Saturday evening). The interior is beautifully designed and offers both privacy and a pleasant atmosphere for a comfortable dining experience. Despite being in Frankfurt's city center, the outdoor area, both on the street and in the courtyard, is inviting and creates a pleasant atmosphere despite Frankfurt's hustle and bustle. The service was excellent, and we were served in a friendly and very attentive manner. We had a very short wait for both the food and the drinks. The food is very tasty; I've been there several times and can recommend the pork belly and the sticky rice. However, I have to say that I find the prices a bit expensive. That's also my only negative point about this place.

The price/performance ratio wasn't that good. I've had much better Vietnamese food for less money. The portions weren't quite as big, considering the amount of money I spent.

I lost my wallet on Saturday with cash and lots of debit and credit cards! They called me and everything was still in it! I also had lunch when I picked it up, and it was really delicious. The staff were so friendly and personable. Great service and atmosphere! From now on, I'll go there as often as possible! I'm absolutely thrilled! I'm so grateful and look forward to eating there again soon. Highly recommended.

Quality and quantity do not match the invoice

The food in the place is quite decent. However, the service is really bad and we were forced and being tricked to pay the tips. I went there with my family in-law and we were not thinking of giving tips as Germans generally would ask for, because the service was so so. By the time we were paying with cards, the payment showed different tipping options, since my father-in-law was not used to this system and it was all in German, he was hesitating and trying to find his way out. Meanwhile, the waiter just pressed 10% tipping options for him!!! That left us without choice and felt being tricked as tourists!!! Apart from that, points that we were not satisfied for the service: e.g. the staff who served our food just put the plates on the table without explaining the dish name to us and we were confused with who ordered which. After eating, the waiters came to collect the plates immediately even if some of us just finished the last bite and some were still eating, and without asking if it's ok to take away the plate, despite there was still a bit of food left on the plate. We really felt unfair with the tipping situation in general and hope it will not happen to other non-German customers again!

Service and ambience is nice, but not 5 stars, as can be read here in other reviews. There is definitely room for improvement. Starter (summer rolls) were delicious. The main course was ok good. For 20 euros I would have expected better, more sophisticated sauces. The meat quality was good. Very child friendly. You can do it, but there are plenty of alternatives

The dishes were overpriced for what you got. Absolute joke. No authentic taste, carelessly prepared and not very exciting. When it comes to summer rolls, all you can taste is rice paper. The summer rolls taste better at Rewe. Phos sucks. Get raw meat.

As mentioned by some reviewers some items on the menu are visibly overpriced. Having said that they have the basics right and the food is tasty (including the rice which is often an underperformer in Asian restaurants in Europe but is prepared correctly at Vipho).

I have come to this restaurant a few times. The food is okay, but the pricing is now a little on the high side. There are other Vietnamese restaurants better priced with good food.

Not recommended. Too small of a place and the dishes are at most average. The meat is really sparse and not good. You could go to so many other vietnamese or thai restaurants in the city that are better overall, especially in food quality. And even so the prices are really high! You can get better food even for less. Services is too slow. Tables are too small and tight. Probably they need to cover the high rent cost but higher price doesn’t mean better. In this case definetly not!

Highly recommended for Vietnamese food. If you come with at least four people: try the mixed starter platter and bun (preferably with pork belly).

Unfortunately, the price-performance ratio is not right. A homemade iced tea 0.4l for 7.50 EUR is almost exorbitant. The food was okay, but the taste wasn't great enough to justify EUR 8.50 for a single summer roll with lettuce, avocado and rice noodles.

Ok, here you pay for the location, but such prices are not appropriate or you can simply adjust the food to the price. But the waiters are all super fast.

Das Essen war vollkommen ok. Es gibt in Frankfurt mittlerweile dutzende Vietnamesen und ich kann nicht behaupten, dass es besser oder schlechter als bei Anderen ist. Was aber nervt ist die unfassbare Lautstärke im Gastraum. Ich habe meine Mittagspause als Stress empfunden und nicht als Erholung!

Very good and authentic restaurant: We got a table (outside) on a Saturday evening even without a reservation. The service was quick and very nice. The food was really very tasty. Only the street noise was a bit annoying at times. We'll definitely be back.

Great restaurant but unfortunately a little too expensive. Even though prices in supermarkets and other restaurants are sometimes falling, Vipho is unfortunately still very expensive. Therefore only 3/5 stars otherwise the restaurant offers very great dishes.

Vipho is my absolute favorite when it comes to the dish Bun Heo Quay - lukewarm noodles with crispy pork belly that taste simply great here. Although the price has increased over time, the portions are now larger, which evens it out. The staff is always friendly and accommodating. The beautiful garden in the courtyard in particular invites you to linger longer and makes the visit even more pleasant. A real tip for Vietnamese cuisine in a relaxed atmosphere!

I ordered there, delivery time is supposedly 15-25 minutes. After 15 minutes I get a call that the lunch menu doesn't exist. Why can you order it then? Well, I'll order something new (of course much more expensive), it should be ready in 5 minutes. 30 minutes later still nothing (restaurant 1.4km away). When the food finally arrives, all the packages are open and the food is ice cold. The portions are really a joke. For example, in the photo you can see spring rolls for EUR 8.50! No joke! Overall, the food is below average and the prices are way too high. I paid 30 EUR and I'm still hungry. So just don't order here - total failure and rip-off. The good reviews are probably bought.

It's Vietnamese food. You can view the English menu by reading the QR code on the menu. I added beef to the salad noodles. The meat was delicious. It was quite crowded outside, but the inside was spacious and relaxing.

The food is average, the spring rolls with prawns and pork are a joke for €8.50, they taste good, the size of the portion, well! Afterwards I had the chicken in curry Ga cari do Label Rouge! Unfortunately only a maximum of half of a chicken breast - unfortunately this had absolutely nothing to do with Label Rouge. Conclusion Price performance is unfortunately not right!

Ufff, bad experience. The place looks good and you have nice corners inside where you can sit, but the traditional dishes are below average. The streetfood dish with beef is good, but the portion is - just like the tradition dish - very small. The personel has no clue what they are doing. Serving drinks 1 by 1, not allowing you to sit next to eachother - and the full terrace was empty? Selling cheap Apfelschorle from a supermarket in a glass for 5,50 is a total rip-off. There are better places in Frankfurt!

Average food at far too high a price. How you get €7.50 for a 0.4L homemade lemonade is a mystery to me. The atmosphere is quite nice and the staff is courteous, but the food is average. You can't charge €17-18 for a relatively simple meal like a bun (which should be lukewarm and not cold) with tofu.

Unfortunately the quality has deteriorated significantly and is no longer worth the money. I assume that the owners have changed. There are much better Vietnamese restaurants now. The staff at Vipho are very friendly and attentive. The food is delicious and there is a good selection to suit every taste. We were here with our baby (2 months old) and can highly recommend this restaurant for its child-friendliness!

The food GA XOT ME didn't taste good at all. The food is not authentic and the craftsmanship is poor. The ambience and service are ok, but not particularly good either.

We waited outside in the cold for half an hour, but they serve food that is definitely worth the wait, we all liked it very much. The employee who set the tables was not very friendly, but the employee who served was friendly. The atmosphere is a bit noisy and cramped because it is very crowded, but we were very pleased with what we ate. I recommend you to make a reservation and come.

Today I was in this Vietnamese restaurant with my brother-in-law, he invited me for lunch, very warm welcome, quite a few people, it's a little noisy, but the service is impeccable, the chicken with vegetables very good, the prices are correct for a city like Frankfurt, for parking it's another story. It is better to get around on foot.

The place has such a nice vibe. The decorations are very nice. I believe the menu is good but I ordered bun bo which I wouldn't really recommend (but I think it was just not for me), however my friend got pork belly which looked really delicious. the best thing is mango sticky rice as a dessert. I never tried it and it was really good!

It is complicated. Let’s talk about the place first. I always prefer to go to places where I can enjoy food (of course) and at same time esthetics of the place. In the photos restaurant looked like a good one. But in reality it was more like a diner. The restaurant renovation was old and I had an impression that the place is dirty. Tables and chairs were worn out. Food: Menu is small comparing to other Vietnamese restaurants. You can not choose the meat type, it is fixed. I mean if you want crispy chicken, you can choose only 1 dish, which I did. It was with sweet and sauer sauce. Not my cup of tea. Avoid chicken pho bo. Summer rolls are expensive. Staff is nice, friendly.

Had Pho Bo and Ga Xot Me . It was not bad, but there was nothing special either. Average service and the place didn't change much within the last 10 years. The prices are above average for Vietnamese cuisine.
