The food is good, prices slightly above average. The location is special, and the service is friendly. Unfortunately, not all older vouchers are accepted anymore due to a change in ownership; this could have been handled better.

We were looking for a place where we could have a delicious lunch, but where it wasn't too loud so we could still have a conversation. We found it here. The clientele was very diverse, ranging from women with children and businesspeople to tradespeople and even a group of retirees enjoying a coffee and a chat. The service was very friendly and the food was delicious. We'll definitely be back! 🥰

We went there for breakfast today and were very disappointed. The portions were extremely small, yet very expensive. Drinks are extra, which I find really unfair at these prices. We paid almost €90 for a breakfast platter – that's simply not reasonable. The value for money is completely off. I definitely wouldn't recommend this restaurant, at least not for breakfast 🤦🏻‍♀️

We were familiar with the glasshouse from frequent breakfast visits. Apparently, there are only two options when it comes to the food: either overcooked (meat or fish) or barely cooked at all (calamari with frozen crunchy bits). This seems to be normal, as the server doesn't even ask when all the dishes are returned full. Luckily, there's also an Ambiiente nearby with more affordable food.

We had cream of mushroom soup, lamb's lettuce, salmon with wild rice, and pike-perch with green beans. The soup was almost certainly from a packet. The lamb's lettuce was tasty (hence the one point), even though there was far too much bacon. The salmon (a very small piece for the high price) had wild rice that was too hard and the sauce was oversalted. The pike-perch seemed to have come straight from the freezer; it was flat and cooked for so long that it was as dry as fish should be. The green beans were cold and unseasoned, and the sauce was practically nonexistent. The only positive thing was the service, which was friendly.

Great atmosphere, no long wait, and the food was delicious 😋. It's also child-friendly. The food was well-prepared. It's expensive, but worth it.

Ambiance: - The table wasn't very clean. I didn't want crumbs from the previous diners. - I found the garden hose behind my seat a bit irritating. Okay, but not very nice. Service: - The wait for drink orders was a bit long. - We were almost "forced" to order drinks and food at the same time, but it wasn't a big deal since we had plenty of time to decide. - The appetizer arrived quickly, but the main course came too fast—a kind of flying change, with no chance to relax or express a preference. - Ordering a second drink was practically impossible, as waitstaff rarely came to that area. Food: - The green olives were very hard; I personally didn't like them. - The feta tasted only of herbs. Unfortunately, it was also very dry; I would have liked more olive oil. - I wouldn't order the burger again. The meat was practically raw in the middle, or at most lukewarm. The consistency was watery—was it frozen? The bread was very dry and sticky/doughy at the same time. The fries could have used another minute of frying, and they could have used more salt, too. ... - Spaghetti Canzone tastes like cream with a few mushrooms, not very aromatic, no acidity, little salt, Gorgonzola was not noticeable.

Very, very friendly and attentive service! The antipasti platter was huge.

We returned here after a few years and immediately felt at home again. The breakfast was delicious and well-stocked. The value for money was absolutely excellent. The coffee was very good, and the cappuccino had fantastic milk foam. We certainly won't wait a few years to come back.

A cozy restaurant with a good menu and tasty dishes. We had pizza and gnocchi, both delicious and well-priced. It's great that they source a lot of local produce. Trying the local wines was also a real pleasure.

Nice for the transitional seasons, when the sun isn't warm enough yet. It has a greenhouse-like atmosphere. Good for larger groups, but not suitable for a cozy twosome, as it's too big.

The ambiance and breakfast were truly fantastic. The staff were also very friendly. What really annoyed me, however, and I personally found intrusive, was that I had already given a generous tip when paying, but that wasn't enough for the waitress, and she rudely told me that more money would have been nicer. I find that really rude.

Very nice – but expensive! We recently paid over €60 for two people (2 dishes + 2 drinks), and we were still a little hungry. Unfortunately, we'd exceeded our pain threshold.

We went to Vinolivio in Schallstadt as a family. The ambiance is Mediterranean-modern and truly beautiful—you almost forget that the restaurant is right on the street. Unfortunately, the service overshadowed the entire experience. We had to wait 25 minutes before we even received a menu—and when I asked for one, I actually only got one for five people. I then fetched the remaining menus myself from inside. The waitresses had no idea who was waiting longer, orders were only taken after specific requests, and sometimes we had to wait for employees inside. Even simple drink orders like a small mineral water took a long time. A friendly greeting often resulted in annoyed expressions, which further spoiled the impression. The food itself was okay, and the portions were adequate. However, the quality has declined; on previous visits, you could still taste the Gorgonzola in a Gorgonzola sauce. There are a few minor errors on the revised menu. Overall, it no longer feels as coherent as it once did. Conclusion: Despite the great ambience, we can no longer really recommend Vinolivio after this visit.

The food and the ambiance were really good. It's a bit pricey, but you get a good portion. Unfortunately, the staff were very unfriendly the day we were there, which is why we're losing one star.

Honestly, I highly recommend this place! We've had lunch there several times and have never been disappointed. The waitress who served us on Sunday was particularly pleasant and cheerful, which made the meal even more enjoyable. The food is excellent and the value for money is truly outstanding.

Unfortunately, after our visit to *Vinolivio* in Schallstadt, we discovered that something was wrong with the food. Three people in our group suffered severe gastrointestinal problems afterward. We all ate the same thing. That shouldn't happen in a restaurant. Very disappointing – we definitely won't be coming back.

A great place to stop by in the afternoon. Great indoor playground for the little ones, and right now (August) you can admire the butterflies again. Afterwards, you can have lunch in the lovely restaurant and quickly pick up a plant on your way out. All in all, a lovely afternoon.

The ambiance is truly wonderful there; you almost get a bit of a vacation feeling. Unfortunately, that feeling disappears quite quickly as soon as you have to interact with the service staff. The restaurant was full, both inside and outside, and there were clearly too few waiters and kitchen staff assigned for the number of guests. When we took our order, we weren't informed of a possible longer wait. After 50 minutes, our appetizer arrived without an apology or explanation. It contained a piece of a broken toothpick. When we asked the service staff how they would apologize, they sent us an older man, who was a private guest in a tracksuit and was consuming several glasses of white wine at the counter, to listen to his ridiculous explanation that the toothpick was supposedly a stalk of feta cheese. We were also informed that we had been waiting for an hour for our main course, especially since not all of us had an appetizer and the "main course" was a salad plate. This was then justified by the fact that it was busy. Our neighboring tables, who all arrived after us, already had their food and some even had their desserts. After a long, unpleasant discussion with the very unfriendly older gentleman in a tracksuit, who even threatened to call the police, we were at least given a discount on the first round of drinks. The food finally arrived after 1.5 hours. All in all, a very nerve-wracking and negative visit to this restaurant. It's better to accept the displeasure of the guests than to occupy fewer tables and then provide them with good service. Due to these incidents, we didn't leave a tip, as we didn't feel we deserved it. The waiter who charged us reacted defiantly by throwing the debit receipts on the table and not even saying goodbye properly; all we heard was a rude "Bye." Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this restaurant!!!

What a shame. The food was totally boring, nothing compared to the three previous meals we've had in the last few months. When we asked, we were told there was a different chef. We knew that from the first bite. Well, money wasted on tasteless food and a total disappointment. We won't be visiting the restaurant again. Hopefully the other, mostly older guests had better luck at lunch. It wasn't really busy, which meant the chef had enough time to put something tasty on the table. Our conclusion is: you can have a good day where there's nothing to complain about, from the service to the food, or the exact opposite is the case. Unfortunately, we've heard this from friends many times. The quality fluctuates, just like we had the problem today and a year ago.

Unfortunately, it's really disappointing! When you carelessly slather a pile of bagged salad with dressing (without anything else), sell it as a very expensive salad plate, and have it served by half-hearted waiters who'd rather talk to each other than serve, that's not satisfying. The burger was incredibly boring. Only the fries were tasty. Okay for a cafeteria, but not for the money they charge.

We live in Sctallstadt and have known the restaurant for a long time – so we can say with certainty: The food has deteriorated dramatically in recent months. What used to be delicious, fresh, and lovingly prepared is now, unfortunately, nothing short of a disaster. The quality, taste, and presentation are far below what one would expect – if one had to rate it from 1 to 10, it would unfortunately be a solid minus 1. The service is also particularly disappointing. The staff seem unfriendly, sometimes even strangely dismissive, especially the female waitresses. You feel neither welcome nor well looked after – which is truly sad for a restaurant with such a reputation. Vino Livio used to be a place we enjoyed eating at. Unfortunately, we can no longer recommend it.

A fantastic, varied menu. It was very busy on a Sunday lunchtime, and the service was excellent! (Two of us) We waited a good hour for our food, which was delicious.

Our server (a young man) was super friendly, courteous, and quick. The food was delicious. The baguette and olive ciabatta were top-notch, truly outstanding. The portions are generous, so the value for money is definitely good. The ambiance, both inside and out, is very appealing and inviting. We'd love to come back to try something else.

We highly recommend Vinolivio. The food was delicious, beautifully presented, and very good value for money. There's a special children's menu. Very nice and friendly staff and service. Unfortunately, it was very warm inside! Perhaps a better cover for the glass roof and/or fans for more air circulation. There's a playground for children, but unfortunately, it was shaded during strong heat/sun.

We had breakfast with 10 people, each with different types of breakfast. You have to order coffee or something similar separately. Scrambled or boiled eggs must be ordered separately. For a gourmet breakfast for €32.50, that's quite a bit more. All the breakfasts were okay, except for the boiled eggs, which were lukewarm to cold.

The burger meat was apparently undercooked. We had stomach pains and nausea for two days.

It was relatively loud, the schnitzel tasted a bit too buttery, and the fried potatoes were under-salted. The service was very good, and the atmosphere was generally very nice.

We had a fantastic experience from the moment we arrived until the end! The staff and food were excellent! Next door was an indoor playground with ice cream. Simply a fantastic atmosphere! I highly recommend it!

Disinterested staff. We were given a menu. The possibility of us wanting to order something seemed unimaginable, even after repeated contact. It was a good thing there was a cake stand in front of the nursery.

Unfortunately, our visit to Vinolivio in Schallstadt was not a positive experience for us, especially considering the value for money. The calamari was bland and very fatty for our taste. The burger (advertised as a "fresh beef patty"), the consistency and flavor of the patty did not meet our expectations for a product in this price range (over €20). We found many of the dishes to be very oily, which overpowered the flavors. Considering the prices charged, we felt that the correspondingly high quality and care in the preparation was lacking. Based on our experience, we cannot currently recommend a visit.

A very nice place. The food is good, but in my opinion, Vinolivio scores highly for its cleanliness, children's playground, attached nursery with an indoor playground, and ambiance.

I was eating at the weekend after eating I immediately had nausea all night, terrible stomach pains in the morning, vomited several times for the expensive price, never again

I was there with my children for breakfast. In itself a nice location with a large selection. The service was very quick and the staff was very friendly. Nevertheless, unfortunately I can only give 3 stars because we only requested the Kellogs for the children instead of the Kermit breakfast. We also got these, as you can see in the picture. When I got home from the bill, I unfortunately discovered that the entire Kermit breakfast had been charged twice even though we only got the Kellogs.

A nice destination with bright rooms, especially when the sun is shining, so you can really let the sun shine on your fur.

Went to eat at Vinolivio Schallstadt last week. When we ordered, we told the waiter that we still had a voucher for 30 euros. Food was very good and the waiter was also very friendly. But what happened to us when we wanted to pay the bill was bordering on outrageous. The bill was 55.50 euros minus 30 euros voucher then it would still be 25.50 euros. But the waiter asked us to give him another 30 euros and when we asked about the amount of the bill, he corrected it to 25.50 euros. He probably wanted to tell us that the 4.50 euros would have been his tip. But we don't allow ourselves to be told whether we tip at all and if so, it's still our decision how much we give.

This used to be a great restaurant, it hasn't been for a long time, annoyed, stressed waitresses, noisy due to construction work, all the Ritz drive large equipment past.

Delicious food in a Mediterranean atmosphere. I only know the location in the evenings (Fri/Sat) and our food was always delicious. However, we have also received food that we did not order or that was not seasoned. You should be patient, because in such a case it can take a while for everyone to get what they want. The waitresses work tirelessly and are very friendly, but in my opinion there are too few people to offer optimal service. I took the liberty of deducting a second star for the service because on two visits at longer intervals I found the toilets in a not very inviting condition on both occasions. For me, in a restaurant, a clean toilet is simply part of the positive overall impression.

Mal wieder ein Besuch im VinOlivio mit Reservierung, die wieder, wie fast immer, nicht geklappt hat! Es war Samstag, sehr voll und dadurch fast alle Plätze besetzt. Leider ist das Personal mit der Situation überfordert. Das Essen war okay, leider aber das Fischgericht, das mein Mann bestellt hatte, nur noch lauwarm. Alles in allem keine empfehlenswerte Adresse, obwohl das Ambiente recht ansprechend und schön ist.

I don't really like giving bad reviews, but it was just worse than average. Location great, ambience also good, great, but service was a 3. Lots of staff who stood around more than served. We had buffet for 20 euros as we were a group. I'll be honest for 20 euros per person you can probably expect a coffee included. Breakfast was ok but not exceptional. You can probably ignore it, but what's not okay is the cleanliness. We were there at 9.30 a.m. and when I have to clean the tables myself I find that very borderline. But the worst thing was the children's chairs. We had 2 and I've never seen anything like it. It couldn't be dirtier. After we only needed one of two, I understood why they looked like that. The children's chair went straight to the next table without wiping or anything else and that is a no go. You could at least go over it with a rag. And it wasn't that there weren't enough staff that you had just 2 minutes. We will come back to give it another chance. Maybe that was a slip-up.

The rump steak was very good. Unfortunately not quite as many fries. I actually left hungry. My mistake was assuming (or hoping) there would be a side salad with such a small portion. But I probably should have taken action myself and asked. The waiter was very friendly and answered all questions but only reactively. No recommendations, experiences or anything similar. Although there were other free tables around us, we were informed that after an hour our table was already reserved and that we had limited time. Unfortunately, if you have to eat under pressure, it tastes less. Accordingly, we didn't order any dessert or starter. We would certainly have ordered a lot more... So I had to stand in the kitchen again at home.

We were very disappointed this time. The food was only lukewarm and we had to return two of the 6 dishes because the meat was cooked too long and was completely tough.

Unorganisiert, total überfordert, nach 90 Minuten warten noch kein Essen geliefert. Wir hatten Hüftsteaks für 25€ bestellt. Stattdessen wurden an anderen Tischen Flammkuchen ausgeliefert, auch an Tische, erst vor 10 Minuten gekommen sind. Es gibt keinen Ansprechparter, keinen Chef, nur „Personal“, sagte man uns. So etwas geht gar nicht. Wir hatten reserviert, aber auch Reservierung bekamen die Leute einen Tisch. Besser wegbleiben, dann muss man sich schon nicht ärgern. 1 Stern ist noch zuviel.

All in all was a good experience. It's a bit hard to get there, have to take different transportation but it's a gorgeous place.

Children's menu with potato slices and strange chicken meat was also oversalted and the meat was not edible. We don't go there anymore.

Unfortunately, our visit on November 9, 2024 was disappointing. Despite a reservation, our table was not available and we were seated in the winter garden. The "Argentinian sirloin steak" was chewy and the "homemade Café de Paris butter" was simple herb butter. The quality did not meet the high promises on the website. The friendly staff and the atmosphere were positive. Unfortunately I cannot recommend the restaurant.

The quality of the food was not good. The spaghetti with pesto was completely over-seasoned and the salad was floating in the salad dressing.

The atmosphere is nice, but our service employee wasn't very motivated. We had to wait almost 2 hours for our food (2 people), while other tables who came later and already received their food. When I asked the staff, all I got was "yes, there's a lot going on". Unfortunately, the food afterwards wasn't convincing either, but rather average.

We really enjoyed the tarte flambée. However, when we looked at the salad, we immediately noticed that it wasn't a freshly cut salad, but a packaged one. Very unfortunate

Had schnitzel “de la Casa” with fries. The fries were dark and soggy. It was probably old fat in the deep fryer. The schnitzel breading was anything but crispy. After my comment when paying, the usual saying from the service: “I’ll pass it on like that…” The ambience is quite nice, but I wouldn’t eat there again.

A very large restaurant. So the volume is a little louder. The ambience is very nicely designed. The staff is friendly and accommodating. Order taken quickly. Drinks and food were also brought quite quickly. The food is delicious and the price is completely reasonable. All in all, visit and decide for yourself whether it was worth a visit. I will go there again :)

Due to the constant changes in personnel, the quality in this restaurant also fluctuates.

We had dinner with the girls and actually go there very often, but that one evening on December 15th. was terrible, by that I mean a certain service force. After we wanted to pay our bill, we discussed a bit why a non-alcoholic and non-alcoholic Lillet have the same price. The good gentleman didn't like the discussion at all, ok, but after I asked him if I could get an invoice, his first question was: why do you need the invoice and the second question: what nationality I am. This question is simply outrageous and, so to speak, racist. I asked the gentleman a counter question: “Why do you want to know?”, he said “yes, say Russian gel”. My answer was “I have German citizenship and the rest is none of your business.” The service person was called: Andreas Grueter, at least that's what it says on the bill. Something like that is a “no go” and if he is not able to work with people then he is out of place! I would like this review to be taken seriously and implemented.

Glass-clad greenhouse converted into a restaurant. Very nicely designed, well-stocked bar where almost every cocktail is available. Food for everyone, although unfortunately the last one is... liff leaves something to be desired. The location is very busy, reservations are essential. Try it out and judge for yourself. Happy to go there for a nightcap, although the food is okay as mentioned above.
