Vin-Cook 1987 in Oldenburg (Oldb)

We spontaneously stopped by Vin-Cook on Saturday and can highly recommend it to everyone. They have delicious vegan options. The prices are perfectly reasonable. The staff is friendly.

We're always impressed. It's so delicious. Sometimes we even drive 60 km just for the meal. We'll be happy to come back again and again.

Delicious Vietnamese food, light and healthy!

When we made our reservation, we mentioned our 25th wedding anniversary. Nothing was done about it. The food itself was good, but the nigiri sea bream was old and tough. The service could be a bit more attentive. When ordering, we were asked for the menu numbers, which didn't seem very attentive.

We had two different main courses. Both were drenched in sauce, making them more like soups. The side salad was in the soup, and the sweet mango sauce generously smothered over it mixed with half the meal. Serving the salad, like the rice, in a separate bowl would at least salvage it somewhat. The meal itself was below average. The sauce was bland and too sweet, and unfortunately, there was no hint of oyster sauce with lemongrass and chili.

We were there for lunch. They have a small lunch menu. The rice and chicken dish (see photo) was very tasty and the portion size was generous. The meal with a drink costs about €16. The ambiance is pleasant.

Never in my life have I eaten such delicious Vietnamese food. Absolutely delicious!

Salmon teriyaki and duck with peanut sauce – super delicious!

Unfortunately, the chicken wasn't cooked through. After checking with the waiter, "it's probably always eaten like this." Since it's delivered frozen, it's probably heated on the grill. The rest was mediocre.

Totally disappointed, surprised by the good reviews. Service was super friendly! However, the menu doesn't even say what's in the various dishes. I was particularly surprised by the pho, as it only contains meat, noodles, onions, and cilantro. If you don't like one of them, the whole dish is gone, but you don't know that until it arrives. There wasn't a huge selection of food. The restaurant is also relatively small, and you sometimes sit in the middle of the aisle, which makes it very loud. Maybe just write down what's in the food so you're not surprised. Yes, you can ask, but I don't see the point in asking for every dish.

We ordered from the daily specials...soup/dish with rice...and a Coke Zero...€11.90. Everything arrived hot and fresh. Charmingly friendly, very clean, freshly renovated. We'd love to come back. Located right in the city center, just behind the market square. Get off the bus at the Pulverturm (Pulver Tower)...a 5-minute walk from the train station. About 20 minutes.

The food was really good, authentic, and arrived relatively quickly. The service was friendly and helped us wherever possible. I'm satisfied and will definitely come back.

The "Flying Noodles" teriyaki sauce dish with vegan duck was truly disappointing. The sauces, the teriyaki and mango salad dressing, were simply too sweet; the second one in particular tasted like a Christmas sugar sauce (including cinnamon). Unfortunately, the salad on the plate was completely submerged in the sauce, making it inedible. The vegan duck had a good consistency, but unfortunately lacked flavor. At least the wakame salad as an appetizer was delicious.

The food tasted very good, I can only recommend it to everyone.

I've eaten here several times and was very satisfied with the variety of fresh dishes and the always friendly and attentive service. Last week I even asked for help with something that had nothing to do with the restaurant and was helped straight away - nothing to do with the store itself. But it speaks even more for the people and the boss! Thank you and see you next time.

We criticized the starter we originally ordered because, in our opinion, it was too overdone. So we returned it and ordered soup instead. In addition, I specifically asked that the soup be served without onions. Nevertheless, a soup with onions was brought to me. After I complained about this again, the soup was taken away - but only the onions were removed and the same soup was brought back to me. Despite the return, we were charged for the uneaten starter on the bill. We pointed out that we didn't eat these. Unfortunately this was ignored. In retrospect, I'm annoyed that I didn't check the invoice beforehand - I had trusted what turned out to be a mistake in retrospect.

Friendly welcome, genuine warmth. No big fuss – just pleasant. The homemade iced tea: fresh, not too sweet, just right. Gyoza as a starter: crispy on the outside, fine on the inside. The bowl: beautifully prepared, tasty. You can tell that the cooking here is done with care. The ambience? Quiet, relaxed, without being intrusive. Five stars – gladly again. Not a big show, but just what you need sometimes.

The portions were generous and tasted excellent - the vegan duck particularly stood out. To my surprise, there was egg in this dish, even though it wasn't noted on the menu. If I had actually been a vegan instead of a vegetarian, I would have considered this a serious mistake. The service was friendly and attentive, so we felt well looked after. Unfortunately there was no changing facility. The hallway in front of the toilets was being mopped without warning, so I slipped with the baby in my arms. Luckily nothing happened to my child, but I suffered a painful neck strain. Despite this inconvenience and the lack of baby equipment, I would like to come back because of the excellent food. Overall, I give it three stars and would like to see a changing option and more detailed labeling of the ingredients on the menu in the future.

It's just a typical Asian restaurant with fast food, very well prepared and inexpensive. Vegetarian spring rolls were classic frozen foods. Main course a tamarind curry tempura with a selection of duck tasted good but rather Asian average. Probably especially for customers who have never been to Asia. It can't be freshly made at the speed of serving. Ambiance was nice. There are never metal chopsticks in Asia, never really, a bad habit in Europe, but they are dishwasher safe.

The quality of the food was really very good. It was authentic and the portions were good. This means a very good price-performance ratio. We had sushi, a main course and a total of a starter and a dessert and paid ~65€.

This restaurant has everything, excellent and friendly service. A calm atmosphere every time I have come. And of course an exquisite meal. I have traveled throughout Europe and have tried sushi in many parts of the world and I assure you that there is no better one. I have come many times and I have never been disappointed with anything I have tried, simply everything I have tried is above expectations. My advice is Menu 124, rolls 93a and 94, it is the most exquisite thing I have ever tasted in terms of sushi. I cannot better describe the satisfaction that comes from having dinner or lunch in this wonderful place in the heart of Oldenburg. You can't miss trying this site.

We have been to this restaurant twice now and although the food is really tasty, unfortunately our visits have been very disappointing. The first time our food was forgotten - we had to wait forever and then discovered that our order had apparently been completely lost. On the second visit, the waiting time was so extremely long that we left the restaurant after over an hour without even being able to eat or order. It's a real shame because the quality of the food is really good, but the service leaves so much to be desired.

I went there to eat and the food wasn't good. The meat didn't taste like anything and unfortunately the noodles did the same. I definitely don't recommend it. A small child could probably have made the food better, I'm really very disappointed, and the atmosphere there wasn't really good either. Unfortunately you can't give 0 stars...

Went there early in the evening. Ordered, unfortunately the desired starter (Karaage) was no longer available. My wife and I both had the house specialty. Me with Angry Chicken and my wife with Vegan Duck. First the salad is put on the plate and covered with a very good mango dressing. Then the warm sauce with vegetables is placed on the plate and the meat on top of the sauce. The rice is served separately. Visually great, but unfortunately the warm sauce spoils the salad. The passion fruit sauce is really good if you like sweet, fruity sauces. The meat was good too, I just couldn't find the Angry? Overall, the food wasn't hot enough for me. The vegan duck was crispy and delicious, but the teriyak sauce was too sweet for my wife.

Sesame rice is on the menu. You get a small amount of rice with exactly 3 sesame seeds on top. I didn't like the salmon with rice and teriyaki sauce. So boring, way too sweet and there wasn't much of it. Price-performance doesn't fit.

The service at this restaurant was a disaster. We waited almost 40 minutes for two sushi rolls and during that time no one came to ask if everything was OK. The sushi rolls were poorly prepared and fell apart. Instead of fresh salmon there was belly salmon, which didn't taste good. It was overall a very disappointing experience. Other guests who arrived after us were served more quickly, while we seemed to have been forgotten. There was no apology or offer for the long wait. The Russian-speaking waiter was extremely inattentive and acted as if we weren't even there. Very disappointing!

A super tasty shop with a nice, diverse selection of different Asian specialties. We really enjoy eating out and haven't seen such a competent team in a long time. All employees are very friendly and accommodating. Extra requests are no problem at all. As a customer you definitely feel comfortable here! Overall, a very, very successful store. The prices are amazing, almost too cheap for such quality! We drive an extra 120km here every weekend, so that speaks for itself. Oh yes, the cocktails are amazing and everyone has to try the Pho Bo at least once, and we don't skimp on anything here. Thank you very much, you are a very great team! We recommend you :)

About the food: The food is not a classic "Asian snack", but also classics, such as roasted duck with noodles (for which there is even a vegan alternative), are not only stylishly prepared, but also with special sauces or fresh vegetables, such as Leaf spinach and brocolli refined. About the service: The lady in service that I have encountered so far was so friendly. At the beginning she said she would like feedback later on how I liked it and then asked about that and was so friendly and reserved, an excellent service person who also helped in the open kitchen. The ambience: Lastly, the ambience, the furnishing style is just right, even the somewhat hidden toilet is elegantly furnished. The open kitchen, the wooden panels and really great decorations, such as lanterns and plants, which are also taken care of. 😊 Oh yes and all for a really reasonable price. I had a main course, two drinks and a bedside table and left €30 including the tip. This is really impressive. Thank you very much for this great experience, you will definitely see me again. 🤗

Prices are more than affordable. If you're looking for an inexpensive and cozy place to try authentic Vietnamese cuisine, this is the place!

The taste is good in itself, but the dishes are too unbalanced for me: one without sauce and therefore quite dry (flying noodles, interestingly prepared) and one with far too much sauce (Vin Cook special), which buries the taste of all the other ingredients. It's a shame, there would have been more. Portions are not particularly large and the price is ok. Service very friendly.

The food was terrible, absolutely tasteless, they brought some half frozen spinach as a starter and then, upon complaint, the same but slightly hotter and with more dressing. Pho and sushi also tasted like nothing and needed plenty soy sauce to be edible. The only thing that slightly saved the experience was the friendly waiter. Don't go.

I have already visited the Asian restaurant "Vin-Cook 1987" three times over a longer period of time - alone, as a couple and with several people. Overall, I was always satisfied with my visits. Reservation and atmosphere: A table reservation in the evening is essential as the restaurant is busy. Due to the high number of visitors, the atmosphere is correspondingly loud, but this is understandable. The space is a bit cramped, which can affect comfort a bit, especially when at full capacity. Service and food: The service is very quick and efficient, which I really appreciate. I particularly liked the creative design of the food. During my visits I ordered the Sushi Menu 121 and was always impressed by the presentation and taste. The food is consistently delicious and freshly prepared. Special offers: A special highlight is the ginger tea, which is served with freshly sliced ​​ginger. This small but nice feature makes the restaurant experience even more pleasant. Price-performance ratio: The prices are in the range of €10-20, which I find to be reasonable for the quality and service offered. The price-performance ratio is definitely right here. Premises: While the front areas of the restaurant are often busy and noisy, the back area offers a quiet and undisturbed atmosphere. Here you can enjoy your meal in peace and relax. Conclusion: "Vin-Cook 1987" is a recommended Asian restaurant with delicious food, fast service and good value for money. I ordered the “seafood udon soup” from lunch, but unfortunately I only got a udon fish soup without a single seafood. It tasted good, but wasn't what was advertised. When asked, there was an apology and that they would take it back. Was very disappointed

Oh, what was that? It couldn't be worse. We ordered teriyaki with salmon and sesame rice and angry chicken with peanut sauce and sweet potato. It's a great read, right? However, this was actually delicately simple convenience cuisine. And it didn't taste even close. The drama started with four delicious (frozen) gyoza. Then the main courses: The teriyaki sauce was diluted and/or just tasted like something inedible. The sesame rice was white rice with sesame seeds counted out. The peanut sauce was simple, tasteless stuff. Truly tragic. The sweet potatoes were sweet potato fries. And to top it all off, the side salads were swimming in the hot sauce. The “Angry Chicken” was laughable - it was a thin, very soft piece of chicken breast and only made me angry. I'm forgiven, I rarely complain like that here and I'm happy to praise. However, this experience, which cost almost €50, was really, really bad. The service was actually very committed and funny, but he neglected to get feedback from us when clearing away the still well-filled plates. Which now followed here. Oh, the many good reviews here are really blatant and incomprehensible. Maybe they primarily refer to sushi? In any case, wok dishes deserve zero praise here.
