If I could, I would give the food and service many more stars. It was a wonderful evening with a ton of food, and the service was incredibly attentive and left nothing to be desired.

We (two adults and two children) had lunch today at the "Am Gleis" restaurant and were absolutely delighted. The service was exceptionally attentive and child-friendly. The quality of the food deserves special mention: both the black salsify soup and the Wiener Schnitzel were top-notch in both presentation and taste. There's also a good selection of children's dishes, which makes for a very relaxed family meal. The ambiance is fantastic; the rooms charmingly evoke the old train station building while feeling modern and very inviting. In the summer, there's also a lovely beer garden right next to the Markelfingen train station. Highly recommended!

Delicious food – the schnitzel was fantastic, the Romanian specialties were authentically cooked, and we highly recommend them! We'll definitely be back and thank you for the lovely, friendly service and the wonderful food 🥰 We also ordered dessert – absolutely delicious and homemade 🥰
