Went to this restaurant today by chance for the first time, and it definitely won't be the last visit The food tastes delicious, very large portions, and not overpriced The hostess is a very friendly lady, you just feel comfortable and in good hands

Stayed in a guesthouse in Böhringen and ate in the sun every evening.. good, home-style, very tasty. We had the cordon bleu and schnitzel with fries. Really big schnitzels and delicious crispy fries. The cabbage wrap is also great and the salad is very fresh and the sauce is a poem.... I can only recommend everyone to eat there. The trip to Böhringen is worth it and the operators are happy... Price/performance ratio fits..

A pleasant restaurant in a small town. Nice service, great beer and large portions.

We ate there on two days. We were able to try a total of four dishes Cabbage rolls with polenta and bacon Cordon bleu with fries Pork steak with croquettes and pepper cream sauce Swabian plate Side salad Everything tasted super delicious! The cordon bleu was freshly prepared and had a rich filling. The fries and croquettes were great. The cabbage rolls were a Romanian specialty. The head of the house cooks himself and knows his craft. The dishes were also beautifully presented. The lady in charge of the house serves and is very adorable and friendly. Even fulfilled the desire for some chocolate with the espresso. We would be happy to come back.

It's a shame that the lunch menu was abolished due to a negative review. We often eat there and liked that there was always a surprise menu. It was always good. Menu (soup+food) at a reasonable price and there was even enough for dessert. Win-win situation, as we were also able to help the restaurant get rid of “leftovers”. Lunch menu is a good way to attract customers at lunchtime. Yes! It's difficult to plan if there are few people at lunchtime because many people are working. Now I can pay for everything separately. Too bad. I still eat there to support the restaurant. I give 10 stars. Service, value for money excellent!

We've been here several times for lunch: prices and quality are good. Unfortunately there is no way to see what is available for lunch (-1 star) and for weeks there has been no way to reach someone by phone to ask about it or make a reservation in advance (-1 star). Unfortunately, that's a shame, but then you don't have to be surprised that no one comes at lunchtime.

Best salad ever, a lot flavor, bitter, sweet, sour and a little bit spicy, really amazing! Also fair price at a tourist place, somehow have a nice experience there, also the owner refused to get tip, very nice lady! But you shall have it when it comes to good service!

We visited the restaurant twice, 2 days apart. Once to test, the second time to confirm. We wouldn't be disappointed twice. Great service, great food. The ambience in the restaurant was clean and attractive. The outside area was also good. The service was polite and quick. The food tasted great and the quantity was more than enough. Hope the pictures show this. Absolute recommendation.

We had dinner here this evening on our way to Switzerland. The food was wonderful. We had cabbage wraps, cevapcici and schnitzel and can recommend all of the dishes. The owners are very friendly - we would love to come back.

Eating in the sun is very good. We had herring with fried potatoes. The matjes were pickled ourselves with lots of apples and tasty sauce and great fried potatoes. Then zander with chanterelles and tagliatelle. Everything was very tasty and seasoned. We were completely satisfied. The sun is absolutely recommended.

Celebrated my birthday with 14 people. Nice decoration. The starter (mixed salad), main course (Swabian plate) and dessert (tiramisu) were very tasty. The boss and staff are very nice.

The food in the sun is perfect, the prices are great and the service is very, very good. We are now regular customers and would love to come back.

Service seems unmotivated and overwhelmed. We were with 4 people, 2 of whom were children. We waited 1 hour 20 for fries with chicken nuggets. The adults' food came after 1.45. Food looked good (Swabian plate from the grill) unfortunately there were 3 medallions from the pan and a few spaetzle. Unfortunately they were medallions still bloody inside so unfortunately you couldn't eat them! Spaetzle were okay when the waitress asked if it was tasty, I pointed out the medallions and there was just an annoyed oh and she left. So, because the medallions were inedible, I only ate Spätzle with sauce and paid over 20 euros for it. Conclusion: Service was overwhelmed. Kitchen was overwhelmed. The price of the food was absolutely not justified for the quality. You only get 2 stars for the ambience. We were there for the first and last time

Unfortunately very disappointed, didn't get a clean table. Waited a long time for the food and it was still cold. A woman worked alone, so the service wasn't really good.

We had lunch on Sunday and were very satisfied! The game dishes made from local game were excellently seasoned and the price was completely reasonable. Finally a pub with home-style cooking in Böhringen! We recommend!

The two of us ate there yesterday. Salad was crisp, current recommendation was a cordon bleu filled with serrano and mozzarella. Delicious. The highlight was the limoncello ice cream

Very pleasant atmosphere, stylish Christmas decorations. Delicious food. I really enjoyed my fish soup. However, as the main menu (listed like this) it is really only suitable for a very small appetite. But it wasn't a problem to order something from the children's menu as an adult. My companion had a schnitzel variation with crispy fried bacon. Absolutely perfect. Very nice fresh side salad with sunflower seeds. We were served in a friendly and courteous manner. In the reviews here it was written about pizza. However, this does not exist. Maybe under a previous owner?

Although the restaurant was full, the nice landlady made it possible for us to sit at a table. The food was very good and the service was absolutely top despite the restaurant being fully booked!

Mein Besuch aus Göppingen war begeistert, vom Essen und dem Servive dort, im Restaurant 😋 Endlich wieder ein Gasthaus mit Gartenwirtschaft vor Ort. Sehr freundliche Betreiber, gutes Essen bei vernünftigen Preis- Leistungsverhältnis!

Essen sehr gut und eine freundliche Bedienung. Ich kann dieses Lokal nur empfehlen und werde ganz bestimmt da wieder einkehren

Sehr gutes und vorallem sehr grosses paniertes Schweineschnitzel mit hausgemachten Spätzle , Sosse war auch sehr lecker, keine billige Pulver Sosse, wie man es leider oft in Vielen Restaurants bekommt sondern richtig toll im Geschmack war die Rahmbratensosse ( 3 Euro )und Cremig. Preis war 14,50€ für das Schnitzel mit Spätzle. Bedienung war sehr aufmerksam und Freundlich. Auch der kleine gemischte Salat war wirklich total gross und hat Frisch geschmeckt. Wir kommen gerne wieder und können das Gasthaus weiterempfehlen. Vielen Dank an die Gastwirtin und den Koch für das tolle Essen. Liebe Grüsse

Ausgezeichnetes italienisches Essen aus einem sehr sympathischen italienischen Familienbetrieb. Keine Kette und alles frisch zubereitet. Zu Corona-Zeiten wird geliefert, super angenehm!!! Und das alles zu sehr günstigen Preisen. Aktuelles Corona Angebot: Pizza und Pasta nur 7€ Besser und günstiger als die vergleichbare Konkurrenz, wir bestellen nur noch da. Im Anhang die aktuelle Karte.

Das Essen ist super lecker und die Preise sind top. Zu Corona-Zeiten kann man das Essen sogar liefern lassen. Sehr freundlicher Service. Gerne wieder :)

Vegetarische pizza is very tasty, cheese is really good. I also loved the pasta here. Its really good spicy pasta which i love to have (by mentioning it while ordering they make it spicy on your wish). I love to order again here. Sorry could not take photos as I was very hungry and ate the food 😁

Leider kann man nicht 100 Sterne vergeben 🙂 Also... An alle, die sehr gut essen möchten, bitte in die Sonne nach Böhringen gehen. Ehrliches Essen, mehr geht nicht. Der Chef kocht hier persönlich und die ganze Familie ist mit im Boot. Sehr freundlich, aufmerksam und zuvorkommend. Wer eine tolle Pizza, Focaccia oder einen Vorspeisenteller probieren und dazu einen 👌 Wein trinken möchte, sollte einfach in diese Pizzeria nach Böhringen kommen. Persönliche Empfehlung: Vorspeisenteller, Focaccia, Pizza Parma, Pizza Salame, Calzone. Probiert es einfach aus, es wird kein Fehler sein 😉😊🍷

Wir sind ca. alle zwei Wochen oder in letzer Zeit sogar jede Woche hier, weil es einfach gemütlich ist und das Essen fantastisch schmeckt! Die Pizza ist gross, knusprig und lecker, die Penne und Gnocci sind der Hammer und alle reichlich!!! Also wenn ihr echt sehr gut italienisch essen wollt, geht hier her. Auch der Service ist superschnell und sehr freundlich.

Ein sehr guter Geheimtipp Lokal , mit Biergarten in mitten von Böhringen an der Hauptstraße . Es hat den richtigen italienischen Flair, das Essen wird alles frisch zubereitet und schmeckt sehr lecker. Das Personal ist absolut freundlich. Hier kocht noch der Chef selbst . Wir gehen immer wieder sehr gerne hin .
