I can't rate the room, as I only stayed in the restaurant. Everything there was excellent.

We stopped there with our dogs after a hike. The dogs were very welcome, and we had a delicious sausage salad with fries.

Bad service, not good service, it takes ages to get your food, and you only get half the amount, so you have to ask for more. And besides, they don't know what they have in stock. The view is the only positive, although it is very beautiful. But the service is terrible, and they already include a tip in your bill without you even wanting to give it. Even after asking again, they forget to include it.

We were very satisfied with the food and we will be back

After a long hike, we stopped at Landgut Katzenbuckel and enjoyed everything: the view, the friendly staff, the very (!) delicious food, and the cold beer. We're keeping our fingers crossed that the new restaurant establishes itself well in this traditional location!

After a lovely hike around the Katzenbuckel, we stopped off at the beer garden of the Katzenbuckel estate. The beautiful setting invites us to spend a pleasant afternoon with good food and drinks. The service is excellent, and the food leaves nothing to be desired. The Maultaschen (swabian pasta) and schnitzel, along with the side dishes, were simply fantastic! The value for money is unbeatable! This certainly won't be our last visit to this wonderful beer garden.

A very idyllic spot for a day trip with delicious, homemade dishes. The meatballs and Maultaschen, for example, aren't industrially produced, but come from a top-notch butcher. Definitely give it a try. The service is always friendly, and the value for money is 100% spot on. :-)

Landgut Katzenbuckel exceeded our expectations in every respect. From the food and service to the fantastic view of the Odenwald forest, the brand-new, renovated restrooms, and the beautiful rooms, I can truly recommend this location to anyone who wants to enjoy some delicious food and relax, or who wants to host celebrations/events of any kind. The new owners have done everything right!

Great place with great views and a cool feeling when it's hot in the valley. The food and cake are homemade and all delicious! The service was very friendly and welcoming, as was the owner. All in all, perfect!!! We'd love to come back. Thank you!!!

How wonderful that this place is being brought back to life!!! 😍 My new favorite spot to recharge, enjoy good food, and celebrate life with cool drinks. Three of us visited the beer garden on Sunday, June 1, 2025. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The staff was very attentive. Very friendly service and helpful advice at the table. The food was very good. From the homemade potato salad to the local specialty "B'scheiserle" (Maultaschen), it was a delight. The currywurst and fries were also particularly delicious. The value for money is absolutely excellent. We would love to come back and enjoy the wonderful view and the food and drinks. Thank you very much and best regards, Morning, Manfred and Thomas

Very nice restaurant. Fantastic interior and a fantastic view. The menu is small and delicious, and the prices are okay… not overpriced. The beer garden is very nice and lovingly decorated. We'll definitely be back!

Apparently reopened in May 2025. Great location with a fantastic view. Service is fast and very friendly. There's plenty of parking, even in the hiking parking lot. The nearby Katzenbuckelsee lake is also interesting. We were only there for dinner.

Great restaurant! Small, well-made menu, definitely something for everyone. Our food was really delicious. Meanwhile you have a wonderful view over the Odenwald. Also perfect as a stop after a hike around the Katzenbuckel with climbing the tower, the beautiful lake and the old ski jump.

The former Villa Katzenbuckel has now been reopened as the Katzenbuckel estate. The new team is extremely committed, motivated and has great ideas! Congratulations on the opening and all the best for the future! Anyone who shows courage and entrepreneurial risk these days should definitely be rewarded! We hardly know of a more beautiful place for a restaurant and, above all, for a beautiful wedding.

I just told the owner that because of the recession we decided to eat here. He said these are so old and they have taken over the restaurant since May 1st. That was four days ago now. And we are extremely positively surprised. And I said that the food and the service and the hospitality have literally surpassed the old recessions. And I'm really very critical when it comes to the food and the cleanliness, everything was perfect. I ate a salad with Maultaschen. It was excellent and huge portions. My wishes were met. The schnitzel was a really tasty schnitzel. It was NOT Press Schnitzel. A really great breading. And the salad was really super fresh. Please keep it up. And thank you very much for allowing us to eat so deliciously today. It meant a lot to us to have such a delicious meal, with so much friendliness. Keep it up! The world needs positive experiences like this!

A real insider tip! The Katzenbuckel estate completely convinced us. Excellent food, a small but very well thought out menu that leaves nothing to be desired. We were particularly impressed by the service: attentive, warm, professional - you feel welcome and well looked after from the first moment. From our point of view, the new opening was a complete success – we are very, very happy to come back!!!

Was für ein tolles Restaurant, in einer wundervollen Landschaft . Das Restaurant top modern ,ohne aufdringlich Modern zu wirken ,ein Highlight für uns der Außenbereich, hier war jemand am Werk der/die viel Liebe reingesteckt hat ( unsre Damen meinten sofort das ist die Hanschrift einer Frau 😉) . Wir wurden sehr freundlich begrüßt, haben einen tollen Tisch bekommen und wurden sogar gefragt ob uns dieser Platz gefällt . Die Getränke waren extrem schnell bei uns ,was gut war ,weil wir alle unheimlich Durscht hatten . Die Cordon bleu waren super gebraten ,waren nicht zu lange in der Pfanne ,gute Füllung man merkt das hier auf Qualität viel wert gelegt wird . Das Hirschragout war sehr zart ,leider hätte die Sauce noch etwas Liebe /Pfiff gebraucht ( da spricht der Küchenchef in mir ) , die Spätzle die ich dazu wollte ,waren extrem lecker . Die Salate sahen toll aus ,auch ihr Katzenbuckel Salat und das Dressing schmeckte klasse . 2.20€ für extra Sauce finden ich in Ordnung ,eine gute frisch gemachte Sauce brauch Zeit ,die richtig anzusetzen,immer wieder zu glacieren ,einkochen,da steckt viel Handwerk dahinter . Bei Beilagenänderung Geld zu verlangen ist ein kleiner Beigeschmack ,wir habe es nie gemacht,für uns gehört das zum Service . Jeder Gastronom sieht das anders und somit auch gut so. Der Espresso war super ,auch hier werden sehr gute Bohnen verwendet . Was man unbedingt extrem erwähnen muss sind die engagierte ,liebenswerte und extrem freundliche Mitarbeiter ,man merkt einfach das sie ihre Arbeit gern machen . Auch super lieb ist man hier zu den Kindern ,dafür ein dickes ❤️ Leider kann man nicht mehr wie 5 Sterne abgeben ,wir kommen wieder .

Das Restaurant ist der Wahnsinn, top Service, die Speisen perfekt auf den Punkt, das Personal sehr freundlich, und dem Restaurant -Leiter ist wirklich nichts zu viel. Dafür gibt es die volle Punktzahl...

Wir haben am 18.08.23 unsere Kirchliche Trauung und die Taufe unserer Tochter in der Villa Katzenbuckel gefeiert. Von der Location über das Essen bis hin zum Getränkeangebot waren keine Wünsche unerfüllt geblieben. Toller Service, außergewöhnliche Gerichte und die Liebe zum Detail, machten die Feier zu einem unvergesslichen Erlebnis für uns. Wir danken dem gesamten Team für die absolut professionelle Ausrichtung unserer Feier und die hervorragende Beratung und Planung im Vorfeld. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder. Klare Empfehlung!!!

Ich war dord mit dem Fahrrad dord. Hade ein hefeweizen Bier. Man kann drausen sitzen und hat eine schöne Aussicht.

Super leckeres Essen. Besonders zu empfehlen das Rumpsteak und der Zander. Der Schokokuchen war auch sehr gut! Das Restaurant hat eine super schöne und ruhige Lage mit toller Aussicht. Das Personal ist super freundlich und zuvorkommend! Ganz Klasse fanden wir die Toiletten 😀 Wir waren an dem Tag spontan in der Nähe und konnten ohne Reservierung vorbei kommen, mit Sicherheit ist es aber immer besser vorsichtshalber zu reservieren. Alles in allem ein wirklich schönes Restaurant und Aufenthalt! Wir kommen gern wieder ! Bis zum nächsten Mal!

Tolles Restaurant mir atemberaubendem Blick. Hier stimmen Preis und Leistung. Der Service ist bestens.

Der Restaurantbesuch war zweigeteilt. Top Location, top Ambiente, grundsätzlich guter Service. Aber, abgelaufene Getränke zu servieren und trotz Hinweis abzurechnen? Da reicht ein "das verkaufen wir nicht so oft" als Entschuldigung nicht aus. Was ein Creme-Fresh Eiswürfel in einer kalten Suppe sucht, ist mir nicht schlüssig. Ansonsten jedoch zu empfehlen.

Schöne Lage. Service freundlich. Essen zur Qualität recht hochpreisig.

Ausflug mit dem Porsche Club und ausklingen der Ausfahrt. Toll Lage der Villa Personal sehr freundlich und die Speisen. Die Portionen sowie der Geschmack lassen keine Wünsche offen. Dieses Lokal ist eine Fahrt dorthin wert.

Bisher habe ich noch nie hier Übernachten. Das Haus liegt wunderschön mit einer traumhaften Aussicht. Die Küche ist sehr gut. Der Service jedesmal freundlich und aufmerksam. Ich bin immer wieder gerne da.

Die Villa Katzenbuckel ist ein Ort wie er kaum besser sein kann. Die exponierte Lage, das gute Essen und der pfiffige, freundliche Service, sucht Seinesgleichen. Ich werde definitiv in Kürze wieder kommen.

Lecker hausgemachtes Essen, es fehlte ein bisschen an "Liebe". Bei Gewitter sehr empfehlenswert 😅
