Friendly staff and super delicious pizza

The restaurant offers excellent Italian cuisine, far removed from the usual mainstream fare like pizza. While they do serve pizza, baked in a special rotating stone oven and of high quality, the highlight is the diverse range of other dishes that perfectly showcase Italian culinary art. It's a wonderful place to spend an evening with your guests. Highly recommended.

We visit our favorite Italian restaurant at least once a week. Spontaneous visits with small groups always work out perfectly there. And the takeout discount is an added bonus that we always appreciate.

The fish soup was quite good. However, the owner's service was really disappointing. Perhaps business is so good that customers don't care whether they eat there or not.

The food was good. However, one of the waiters was unfriendly to all of us and even rolled his eyes arrogantly when we made a special order. I would never tolerate that kind of behavior as a manager. It was obvious that at least the one waiter we had had absolutely no desire to be in his job anymore.

Dinner at Villa Dante was lovely once again. The service was very attentive, the food delicious, and the ambiance perfect. The pizzas are large and tasty, and the waiter is always ready with a joke.

The pizza was very good – unfortunately, the waiter was uninterested, and we were left without drinks for an hour after our first order. Despite having a reservation, our table was too cramped, with other guests sitting right next to it.

Very unfriendly towards their customers. We were threatened with a slap after we sat down at one of the reserved tables. However, there was no sign or anything to indicate that the table was reserved.

The pizza is excellent, and we really enjoy the warm, lively atmosphere. It's best to make a reservation in the evenings, as it's a large place but can sometimes get crowded. In the summer, there's lovely outdoor seating.

The service is a disaster. The owner interferes with every table reservation, and every waiter has to ask him which table a guest will be assigned!

We went for lunch today, and the restaurant was packed. Despite the crowds, the food arrived quickly and was absolutely delicious: venison goulash with chestnut purée, bread dumplings, and cranberries, as well as tagliatelle carbonara. Both dishes were so tasty and cooked to perfection. The prices were also very reasonable; the goulash was just under €25, and the tagliatelle was just under €14. The waiter was very friendly. We'd love to come back again soon.

Hectic atmosphere, extremely unfriendly attitude from an older waiter. Therefore, I unfortunately won't be returning, even though the food was good.

First Time of my life I didn’t finished my plate. The mussels wasn’t good at all. And I’m from Bretagne. So I’m usually eating good one. And when I was asking to the service team some explanation, there weren’t commercials at all. They could do 5% discounts or offer a bier at least. It’s a pity.

An Italian restaurant with solid, simple, but good food. The dishes (pizza and pasta) are very reminiscent of L'Osteria. The pizza was too big and greasy to take away. That's my fault for ordering salami, though. The pasta was tasty, but a little more sauce would have been nice. The ambiance, with its LEDs, etc., is very reminiscent of the 2000s. The service seemed unmotivated, but consistently friendly.

Went there for dinner before a hockey game. We had made a reservation in advance, which is recommended. We had a lovely table in the garden. The pizzeria also has a very nice ambiance inside. The service was very friendly and accommodating. The food was delicious and a decent size. This is the best Munich value for money. We'd be happy to come back 😀

I absolutely love the place. I've been going there for about 25 years. I especially like the food from the weekly menu and the amazing pizza. Besides the food, I obviously like the beautiful outdoor area, but also the lovely interior. The food is quite uncomplicated—in other words, quite fancy and Italian, but also somehow casual, perfect for families, for example, and pretty good value for money.

The food (pizza) is great, and the prices are generally reasonable. The service is mixed. Some are nice, some not so. The women, in particular, are strange.

I got this today with my salad and antipasti order, after I politely asked for bread when I picked it up, as there wasn't any. The waiter, visibly annoyed, went to the kitchen. When I got home, I saw this: there were exactly six end pieces and one "torn" or already-tasted piece. Thanks for the rock-hard end pieces! I've never experienced anything like this before.

I ordered a tuna pizza, and it was the worst experience of my life. The pizza was completely wet, the dough was still slightly raw, and nothing on the pizza was solid. Very disappointing. I was there a week ago and everything was fine, but now I'll never go again.

Very friendly, authentic staff and a beautiful interior. The pizza is excellent and certainly among the best in Munich. Fortunately, I wasn't thrown out when I ordered the Hawaiian pizza, and it was served despite the staff's inner conflicts. It also tasted very good. I recommend sitting outside on the terrace.

I've been to Villa Dante several times and have always been satisfied – but after my last visit, I probably won't be going back to the restaurant. I found a hair in my risotto that was clearly incorporated into the dish and hadn't simply fallen in later. These things can happen – unpleasant, but not dramatic if handled professionally. Unfortunately, the exact opposite was the case. When I politely pointed this out to the waiter, he pulled the hair out of the food, examined it, and declared that it couldn't have come from the restaurant because no one in the kitchen was blonde – a completely inappropriate and almost cheeky reaction. It seemed as if they were implying that I had put the hair in there myself. Instead of apologizing or even showing understanding, they just argued. The worst of it came when I took out my phone to write a review – to which the waiter reacted indignantly and rudely, as if I had no right to share my experience publicly. Our offer to speak to the chef was ignored. From that moment on, no one came to our table again, no apology, no courtesy. When it came to paying, there was no sign of understanding. I didn't expect my meal to be refunded or given anything for free—one should be able to expect a minimum level of respect and professional handling of complaints in a restaurant of this price range. The hair was one thing. The way the incident was handled was the real problem—and unacceptable.

We received super-quick and friendly service – truly top-notch service! We ordered pasta carbonara and pasta frutti di mare – both dishes were excellent: generous portions, flavorful, and freshly prepared. The ambiance was also very pleasant – cozy, clean, and typically Italian. Overall, a thoroughly enjoyable visit. We'd love to come back and highly recommend the restaurant!

A piece of Italy in Munich – excellent food and warm service (⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐) Top!!! I recently visited the Da Dante restaurant on Dachauer Straße in Munich – and it was a thoroughly enjoyable evening. The warm, inviting ambiance immediately strikes you upon entering. The decor is tasteful, cozy, and designed with great attention to detail – you immediately feel at home. I would particularly like to highlight the service: The waiters were extremely friendly, attentive, and at the same time pleasantly unobtrusive. You weren't simply "served," but rather warmly welcomed. Questions about the menu were patiently answered, and recommendations were made – you can tell that the work here is done with passion and genuine hospitality. There's a familiar, relaxed atmosphere that makes the visit even more enjoyable. About the food: I had the Pizza Toscana (Quattro Formaggi) – and it was an absolute delight. The crust: wafer-thin and wonderfully crispy on the edges. The four cheeses harmonized perfectly, everything was freshly prepared, and the flavors were perfectly balanced. The portion size was also just right. You can tell that they use high-quality ingredients and have a lot of experience. Conclusion: Da Dante is more than just an Italian restaurant—it's a place where you can feel at home. The overall package of excellent cuisine, friendly service, and a beautiful ambiance is convincing across the board. A clear 5 out of 5 stars for me—I'm already looking forward to my next visit!

The negative review was ridiculous. I came from England. By far is probably one of the best carbonara I've ever had. Matey was a proper gentleman with the translation. 5 star from me and the wife....

I ordered penne arrabiata over the phone about an hour ago. When I got home, I realized once again that it was penne with tomato sauce, unfortunately not arrabiata, even though I specifically requested it when I ordered it over the phone. It's a shame that you don't get what you ordered.

Eating in is best. However, I've ordered pizzas to take away several times now, and they're simply too greasy. The box gets soggy, and the toppings aren't what they should be. It happened again today. I ordered two pizzas for lunch and picked them up. Unfortunately, I only realized at home that one pizza was completely wrong. It's best to check in person before taking other people's pizzas or simply the wrong pizzas. I won't do it again.

One star just because of the food... But let's start from the beginning, because the waiter with the beard turned up and the owner did EVERYTHING and more wrong that you can only do wrong... Here's our odyssey... Yesterday I made a reservation for 7 p.m. for 4 people... When we didn't even get in the door, we were greeted by the owner with a bored "did you make a reservation...?... A "Buonasera" and a smile were apparently too much demanded.... We were assigned our table and then the highlight that was to accompany us the whole evening began... Our waiter came (he also apparently didn't think much of smiles and a warm "Buonasera" and, annoyed and rushed, literally slapped two cards for three people on the table (because my wife came half an hour later) and left again... After half an hour we literally knew the menu by heart but there was still no sign of the waiter... shortly afterwards he came and like at a fast food chain and not like in a restaurant, he asked hastily "So... What do you want? Do you want a starter? If so, we're out of bread! And do you want to order the main course right away!?" When we hesitated a bit because we were simply overwhelmed by this flood of questions, he became more impatient and said "So, what do you get?" A restaurant that "runs out of bread" can happen, but then I offer a pizza bread or focaccia... But that was apparently too much complex train of thought for him... Be that as it may, we placed our order... a short time later we saw the owner. But instead of a greeting and a "Tutto bene? Everything good? Have you found something nice?" Within 10 minutes there was an annoyed "are there three of you?" I need the table!") Meanwhile, 25 minutes have passed and oh wonder, the drinks found their way to us!! Yippieh!! Another twenty minutes went by (it was now 8:15 p.m.) and we still had no food on the table, but we had the waiter again, who told us after 1:15 in annoyance that the fish we had ordered half an hour ago was out would be a Mother's Day surprise) why he told her after what felt like almost an hour after ordering that the fish was no longer available (you could have come to the table immediately after placing the order and said, I'm sorry but the fish was unfortunately very popular and unfortunately out, but how about dish I can't help it, I'm not a cook, I'm not a boss, I'm nothing here...I'm just the waiter! Do you want to eat something else now!?" My mother said no because she had lost her desire and appetite... After a good 90 minutes the food arrived. My mother didn't get the fish that was out, but she did get the side dish. When my mother said that the side dish didn't make any sense without the fish, he turned to us again, annoyed, and said, "Should she take it with us again?" We started eating... Be it the waiter or the owner, it didn't matter whether we liked the food or not whether everything was okay.... When we had finished eating, we sat in front of our dirty dishes for another 20 minutes before they were cleared away by another waiter after we asked, because our waiter was no longer there... Only when we waited another 20 minutes for our bill (which another waiter then brought to us) were we relieved.. AVOID THIS PLACE!

One of the best Italians. The weekly menu has great specialties again. The food is delicious and the wine selection is wide. I recommend making a reservation as it is very busy. The only downside is that it is narrow and therefore noisy The service is tip top.

Tasty but very unfriendly Super delicious pizzas 🍕 I was thrilled every time! For me the best pizza in Munich. However, the service is unfortunately very bad. When we arrived the lady didn't think it was necessary to greet us or give us a seat or a card. We had to wait 10 minutes until a gentleman came and asked if we had already ordered. Our male waitress was very friendly. When we wanted to pay we had to wait 15 minutes until we could pay Conclusion Unfortunately, the waiting time and the behavior of one older person (waitress?) were subpar Pizza was very good

We had a wonderful anniversary dinner at this fantastic Italian restaurant. The highlight of the meal was the fish soup—it was simply the best we’ve ever had, better than any other restaurant we’ve visited. We also enjoyed a perfectly grilled fish and a seafood platter, both of outstanding quality and freshness. The service was excellent, with friendly and attentive staff. One of the waiters even assisted us with deboning the fish, and watching him perform this artful technique was a delight in itself. A truly memorable experience—we will definitely be back!

You call to reserve a place on the terrace and then you can't find a place on the phone he tells you which place he'll let you reserve and then you go there and stay like an idiot... it seems like you're being taken for a ride

The two of us had dinner. The waiter greeted us (in our mid-30s) with the words: "Hey guys, what's up?" welcomed. He continued to use first names. We both had a pizza, which was on the table quickly as the shop wasn't busy at that time. My pizza was very oily, which ruined what was supposed to be savory. Our drinks ended up being empty for around 20 minutes, but the waiter was no longer there, so we didn't order or pay for another drink.
