Delicious food. Fast friendly service. Absolutely nothing to complain about

It was my first time there and I thought it was very good. The staff was very nice and helpful/quick. Reservations would be advisable, as it was really full at a late hour and there was a lot of coming and going. The menu is very diverse and the prices are now surprisingly cheap, unlike other places, something I'm not used to anymore. The food was very tasty. The dessert with mango lassi and mango ice cream was amazing. Simple but delicious. Surprisingly, there was even parking nearby, considering it's in the middle of the music district. So all in all a lovely evening, would love to go again.

Food is very good, service unfortunately not particularly friendly and after the food was there we didn't get a drink (we sat for 1.5 hours with empty glasses, the restaurant was almost empty).

Ate there for business lunch. Nice staff and extensive menu. My crispy duck curry was clearly delicious, but the curry sauce seemed very watery to me. As if the cook had stretched them. It's a real shame, but all in all recommended!

We've been there several times and we always really like it. The food is great, everything tastes perfectly balanced. Extra wishes are fulfilled. There is something for everyone, whether meat, vegetarian, vegan... The service is also great. The ambience inside is nice, but everything is quite cramped. I think it's better to sit outside than inside. Otherwise highly recommended.

Food was really excellent and exceeded my expectations. The service was a bit reserved but despite that it didn't affect the overall performance. Keep it up!

We were there on December 21st. The three of us ate here and it was really delicious. We waited about 20 minutes for our food. If there was anything I would complain about it would be the fact that it was very expensive.

We were expelled from the house with our dog (dachshund) as soon as we sat down... When asked if they would eat dogs, the waiter said YES…we saved our dog!!!

We have been here very often. The food is consistently very tasty. So far we have always received a place even without a reservation. The ambience is very pleasant because the fairly large room is well “insulated” by a modern room separation. In summer you can also sit comfortably outside on the quiet side street. The waiting times have always been very humane. We like coming here. Parking is relatively easy, but you can also easily reach the restaurant by bike.

The food was very tasty and the dishes were all beautifully presented👍🏻 Service was also good. Unfortunately, there were only relatively few noodles in my udon noodle dish. In terms of price, it's on the higher side.

This is one of our favorite restaurants in Leipzig. The atmosphere is very stylish.

Can't quite understand the many positive reviews. Average and overpriced Vietnamese. Carrot juice for €6.30. Vegetarian main dishes from €15 upwards, but you get carelessly chopped vegetables and tofu in pieces that are way too big. The lettuce was a single lettuce leaf 20cm long. The food also tasted like glutamate. I expected more, but it's probably just a tourist trap...

We were there today without a reservation based on a recommendation. Nice service, great atmosphere and incredibly good food. We would be happy to pass on the recommendation and come back. Price/performance great 👍🏼

A very nice restaurant in Leipzig. Parking spaces directly in front of the restaurant. There is also plenty of outside seating. The food was really delicious and beautifully prepared. I'm a good eater and I'm full. We didn't have to wait long. Very friendly staff. We'd love to come back.

Food tastes very good and is beautifully prepared. It would be nice if the waiters in the back room played cell phones and appeared a little more professional in the front. I have nothing against loud conversations between friends of the host. We were almost alone and felt a bit disturbed.

Very tasty food and large portions! The Teryiaki sauce was really delicious! I expected more from the "homemade" iced teas, but in the end the Lyche iced tea was just green tea with lychee juice from a tetra pack. The food and drinks were very nicely presented.

Riesige Auswahl von typischer vietnamesischer Küche (Phó) und modernen Gerichten (Bowls). Die Preise sind etwas höher als bei anderen Restaurants in Leipzig. Doch der Preisunterschied lohnt sich absolut, da die Qualität deutlich besser ist. Die Geschmacksvielfalt ist wirklich sagenhaft. Wir haben für 4 Getränke, drei Vorspeisen und zwei Hauptgerichte rund 80 € gezahlt. Alles in allem: wirklich top. Eine Reservierung war bisher nicht notwendig. Man kann sowohl draußen als auch drinnen sitzen. Das Musikerviertel ist recht ruhig, weshalb man auch getrost direkt an der Straße sitzen kann.

It's nice to sit outside and the food looks appealing, but unfortunately the taste of my meal and that of my companion left something to be desired - the peanut sauce didn't taste good and the seitan skewers coated in green sticky rice were soaked in fat - rather unusual for Vietnamese food. The side salad was unseasoned and seemed bland. Overall, unfortunately a disappointing experience.

Super delicious fresh food! Everyone should find something here and definitely try a dessert. Friendly staff - Even if you are the last guest, you will not be asked to leave, but can stay as long as you want.

It took a while until the service came. Although three conditions stood around and had private conversations. The food wasn't worth the money. Cold rice, hard vegetables, cheap meat. Never saw a wok. Dry side salad without dressing. Never this restaurant again. Prices average €16.00, not worth the money.

Very nice outdoor spaces on a warm summer evening. Excellent food in the 14-19 euro range for a more than adequate main course. There are also a lot of vegan dishes and homemade iced teas on offer.

The food was very tasty, the summer rolls are recommended as a starter. As main courses we had chicken with tamarindo sauce and duck with mango sauce, both great 👌, the lemonades were also very tasty. Gladly again 😉

Check, very good. Food tastes great, authentic too. Service is good and prices too. Parking is of course a problem in Leipzig and could be tight. It's just a parking emergency area. Toilets are clean. I can't say anything about free WiFi, maybe the owner.

The food, service and atmosphere in the Viet Village are ok and nice – nothing more. The service is good - except that there is a communication problem with several waiters (I had ordered a pot of green tea, which is known not to steep for long, had no place to put the tea bag and when I pointed this out, I was not given it understood) – and friendly. The food is okay - neither particularly tasty nor bad. The outdoor seating itself is ok, but some of the paving stones in the “footwell” of some of the tables are very loose - it's hard to imagine someone twisting their ankle or falling when getting up.

Fancy place very well located. The restaurant is beautiful, with plenty of seats outside to enjoy their dishes during the summer days. Overall, a wide offer with plenty of vegan options to accomodate everyone. Highly recommeded, one of the best of its kind in Leipzig.

Food poisoning: I ate the duck with peanut sauce here in the evening of June 4, 2024 and was able to enjoy a completely sleepless night that I spent vomiting. This was not only extremely unpleasant, but also meant that I was unable to attend any appointments the following day. I then decided to inform the restaurant of the incident by telephone so that the affected food could be checked and others could be spared the suffering. On the phone they were extremely unfriendly, didn't apologize for the incident and denied any blame. "This can't come from us." I only ate a slice of bread in the morning that day. Therefore, the origin of the food poisoning is clear to me. So in summary I can say the following: The food is dangerous to your health and the service is disrespectful. The visit to the restaurant cost me €25, a lost day of work, around 30 hours of my life as well as physical suffering and great effort. So I can only strongly advise you to avoid this location. If I had been treated differently on the phone, I would have refrained from writing this review.

The food was very tasty and on a nice evening you can sit outside until 10 p.m. Then you have to go to the restaurant. We could still drink there. New orders were not accepted. Overall, the service was very friendly, but we had to try a little harder when ordering drinks.

The Viet Village is a really good Vietnamese restaurant in a cozy location. The service is always very good and usually very quick - of course depending on the workload. On warmer days you can also sit outside. The prices are absolutely reasonable, the in-house drinks are very tasty and recommended.

The food is really delicious and highly recommended. However, the service was subpar. The dishes were not served together and two people had to wait almost 20 minutes longer for their food than the rest. In addition, the service was super unfriendly and mostly deliberately ignored us. We had to wait a total of almost 40 minutes for the food. It's a shame that our visit was so unpleasant, otherwise we would have liked to come back for the food.

The food was at the table 10 minutes after ordering and the portions were very large for little money. This has nothing to do with the food from the fast food joint!! Everything was super tasty, not too greasy or overly seasoned. It definitely deserves a visit because the ambience, food and service are outstanding.

We were visiting from Berlin and ate here on a Sunday. The food was really tasty, the service was good and the prices were okay. Because it was a Sunday, there wasn't much going on, it was easy to park everywhere and the weather was sunny.

The food was excellent, fresh ingredients, the eye eats with it. A large selection of food, absolute madness. The lemonades are a blast, plenty to choose from and made with fresh ingredients. We had passion fruit and raspberry lemonade, very tasty. Cocktails with and without alcohol. You have to budget around €25 per person with a drink, it's definitely worth it. We didn't have to wait long from ordering to eating.

Food delicious. The service leaves a lot to be desired. You wait a long time and have to proactively order more drinks when the glass is empty. A little more friendly demeanor wouldn't hurt the service staff either.

Unfortunately my dish was served 40 days pretty lukewarm and that's not the first time.

The food had flavor but the meat was in scarceness and chewy. Mushrooms were bland and raw and had no purpose in the curry. Overall, worth visiting if you are around in Sudvorstad.

If you like Vietnamese fusion cuisine, you definitely have to try Viet-Village. The location is difficult to recommend. The atmosphere is incredibly cozy, the staff is friendly and the selection is plentiful. Both vegetarians and vegans are generously catered for on the menu. The portions are large and the price is absolutely okay. The prices for a main course are between 13 and 16 euros.

Ein absolut Stilecht eingerichtes Restaurant mit fantastischem Essen und tollem Servicepersonal. Trotz eines vollen Restaurants wurde das Essen sehr schnell angerichtet und liebevoll garniert. Bei uns definitiv nicht der letzte Besuch.

What a jewel I found. This Vietnamese restaurant has great pho. The broth was so good - not too sweet, salty, or oily. Vietnamese iced coffee was so delicious and rich. They don't speak English well, nor do they have the English menu. You can still find the menu online and Google does the translation for you. It was the perfect comfort food to have on a chilly winter day in Leipzig.

Das Restaurant ist toll eingerichtet. Die Speisen sind supre lecker und man kann auch einfach umbestellen. Die Preise sind fair. Wir sind dort Stammgäste. Was uns wirklich stört ist die Tatsache, dass das Personal ständig das Handy in der Hand hält und somit wenig Zeit für die Gäste hat. Das ist sehr schade.

Sehr, sehr lecker. Ich war gleich zwei Mal am Wochenende da, da ich einen Workshop in Leipzig um die Ecke besucht habe. Sie haben eine große Auswahl an vegetarischen und veganen Speisen. Besonders die Nr.79 mit Seitan und Tofu fand ich sehr lecker.

Schön gemachtes Restaurant und das Essen ist auch gut..leider ist die vegane Karte klein

Das Essen war lecker. Leider kam sehr selten eine Servicekraft. Außerdem hatten wir das Gefühl, dass die Servicekraft uns nicht so gut verstanden hat (mutmaßlich mangelnde Deutschkenntnisse). Es war auch recht kühl im Restaurant.

Der Service unterirdisch. Eigentlich war ich immer gerne hier aber gestern war ich entsetzt. Leere Getränke wurden nicht aufgefüllt, die leeren Teller standen stundenlang auf dem Tisch. Personal hat man in unserer Nähe nicht gesehen, stattdessen standen 3 KellnerInnen am Tannenbaum und haben am Handy gespielt. Nach 21 Uhr hat wurde nicht mal mehr auf unser winken reagiert. Die Gläser blieben leer, die Trinkgeldkasse auch...

Sehr empfehlenswert wenn man die asiatische Küche liebt! Zuvorkommendes Personal mit einem Lächeln im Gesicht, so geht man gerne essen. Wir können es nur weiterempfehlen aber macht euch selbst ein Bild! Immer wieder gerne. Im Sommer gibt's hier auch einen großen Freisitz.

Das Essen ist okay, die Sitzgelegenheiten recht eng und unbequem!

Wir waren bereits 3 x hier und immer zu unterschiedlichen Zeiten. Der Biergarten ist schön, leider finde ich den Eingang etwas „rumpelig“… hier und da hat sich etwas Betriebsblindheit eingeschlichen. Wir haben jedesmal sehr lecker gegessen aber mit geringen Wartezeiten. Die Gerichte waren köstlich und schön angerichtet. Wäre die Bedienung etwas mehr auf Zack hätten wir auch mehr getrunken… so blieb es bei einem Getränk.

Unfassbar schöner Ort und wirklich extrem leckeres Essen!! Ein stern weniger beim Ambiente, weil wir unseren 18cm kleinen Hund nicht mit reinnehmen durften, ansonsten MAXIMALE Empfehlung😍

Seher leckeres Essen. Immer wieder!

War mit meinen Mädels hier zum Abendessen verabredet, das Lokal ist unter der Woche nicht allzu überfüllt gewesen. Die Auswahl der Speisen ist meines Erachtens ganz gut, es ist auch etwas dabei, was man noch nicht kennt und somit probieren kann. Ich wählte die Crepe mit Entenfüllung und eine Nudelsuppe mit knuspriger Ente. Das Essen kam zügig und auch gleichzeitig mit dem meiner Freundinnen. Sowohl die Crepe als auch die Nudelsuppe waren eher enttäuschend. Die Crepe und das Fleisch waren fad, mit der Soße schon etwas besser. Von der Nudelsuppe war ich mehr als enttäuscht - die Brühe schmeckte nur nach Wasser, die Nudeln viel zu durch gekocht, das Gemüse lieblos rein geschmissen. Lediglich die knusprige Ente war gut, aber in Anbetracht dessen, dass sie früher oder später in der Nudelsuppe aufweicht, für mich unlogisch in dem Gericht. Zudem vermisste ich asiatische Kräuter. Zum Essen trank ich einen alkoholfreien Cocktail mit Erdbeeren und Lychee Geschmack, war ganz gut. Zum Personal kann ich sagen, dass ich mich jederzeit nicht willkommen fühlte - kein Lächeln, kein freundlicher Umgang , kurze und patzige Antworten. Das fiel mir besonders bei einem jungen Mann auf. Schade! Unsere Getränke waren leer, es kam keiner mal um zu fragen ob man noch etwas möchte...und das obwohl der Laden nicht sonderlich gefüllt war. Ich werde nicht wiederkommen.

My new favorite restaurant in Leipzig! The food was amazing. It didn't take long, maybe 5 minutes or so before we got our starters and then maybe another 10-15 minutes to get the main course. My wife had the fried salmon in curry and I the spicy chicken from the wok. Both were super delicious. I used to favor another asian restaurant in Leipzig but Viet Village earned the new top spot. I can highly recommend you try it!

Die Mangosoße schmeckte eher nach Ananas. Der Karotten-Orangen-Saft war sehr lecker.
