Relatively small portions for a relatively large price. Not as flavorful as other options.

Papaya salad, vegan food with seitan… very uninspired food, barely seasoned, poor presentation, bored service, constantly tapping away on their phones.

The food was delicious, I had chicken curry and rice with lemonade/ bitter lemon. Their service is great and they are nice. The place is aesthetically pleasing and it was in a great Atmosphere.

We were there on a Saturday afternoon. There was plenty of room, and we got the menu quickly. The selection was definitely good, and the food was delicious. The highlight, however, was the homemade lemonade.

I was at Viet Village recently and thought to myself, "Today I'm going to treat myself to a bit of a vacation on my plate." So I ordered the Pho Xoa—fried noodles so good I briefly thought I'd landed a ticket to culinary nirvana. The noodles were perfectly fried: slightly crispy on the outside, wonderfully soft on the inside, as if they'd completed a secret Vietnamese fitness program. They were accompanied by crunchy vegetables, tender meat, and a sauce that was probably somewhere between "wow" and "omg." The service? Friendly, quick, and served with a smile that would melt even the biggest lump of rice noodles. I seriously considered proposing to the chef during the meal, but decided against it out of politeness. So if you're looking for fried noodles that make you feel like you're sitting under palm trees in Saigon, head to Viet Village! I'll definitely be back—next time I'll probably order two portions. I ordered Bun Nem Chay (vegan): fried spring rolls with rice noodles and salad. The flavor was mediocre to bland, and the salad was limited to two sliced ​​cucumber slices and a shredded leaf of iceberg lettuce. The rest was an endless supply of noodles that were still a bit too hard, with a huge dead fly floating between them. And apparently, there's a shortage of soy sauce. I had to get it myself, and some time later, it was taken away and brought to another table.

The roll wasn't great, but the udon with duck was very good. Nice setting on a quiet street with average service. Oh and the jasmine tea was delicious 👌

We were with friends and the very rude waitress told us to get up and get the menus from another table. The food is of poor quality, and everything tastes the same. The menu seems varied but it isn't, in the end it's always those five ingredients.

Always fresh and beautifully presented. There's a wide selection, and you never have to wait long. We went there once with our parents, who don't normally like Asian food, and they've been raving about it ever since when they visit us in Leipzig.

It was my first time there and I thought it was very good. The staff were very friendly and helpful/quick. Reservations would have been advisable, as it got really busy later in the evening and there was a lot of coming and going. The menu is very varied and the prices are surprisingly reasonable these days, unlike other restaurants, which isn't something I'm used to. The food was very tasty. The dessert of mango lassi and mango ice cream was amazing. Simple but delicious. Surprisingly, they even had parking nearby, considering it's in the middle of the music district. So all in all, a lovely evening; I'd happily go back. Went there again today for lunch with the lunch menu and enjoyed sitting outside. The food was still excellent. Always good.

It was really good again. The meat-based dishes were delicious, the drinks were great, and the atmosphere was pleasant! I've always had a good evening there. When I once lost a scarf, I was able to quickly sort it out over the phone and pick it up the next day :) (I'm also writing this review because I can't understand why someone would rate the place 1 star just because they don't allow dogs (which is a good thing!) – and thus lower everyone's overall rating.)

I went there for lunch with my sisters today for the first time. I really like the atmosphere. Luckily, we were even able to get a table by the window. We had made a reservation, although it was a Sunday and the crowds were still quite manageable, so the atmosphere was very pleasant, as was the parking situation (we were able to park practically right in front of the entrance). The food was absolutely fantastic! I was impressed not only by the main courses but also by the desserts. I had the "Pho Tron Curry" first, followed by the "Kem Xoai." I'm looking forward to the next time! ☺️ PS: Card payments are accepted for a minimum of €20.

When we asked why, they told us that they have a problem with the other customers. The funny thing is that we are also customers and we pay to eat. We also suggested that since we do not want to create a problem, we sit at a table far away but they still did not accept it. It was also raining a lot and we had come from far away to eat! No polite treatment.. I should emphasize that we are talking about a small dog. But again, this is not a reason not to allow you to eat in a restaurant. When the person in charge no longer had an answer to what we mentioned, he told us that one of their employees is allergic to dogs! Really Funny!!!!!that is, they drive away customers who will leave money and who will recommend the store to other friends because an employee is allergic! I leave this to everyone to evaluate as they wish! At that moment they drove away another couple with their dog and they left, of course, disappointed like us! Really sad!!!Of course, after this incident, we went to another Vietnamese restaurant, which of course welcomed us kindly with our dog and our mood improved! Menus arrived immediately, but then nothing came for a long time. Cleaning up, etc., is simply more important! After we were allowed to order, the drinks, appetizers, and then the main course came very quickly from other staff members. They were also friendly and attentive. Unfortunately, nothing came for a long time after the main course. Only by raising our hands to the seated staff were we able to tell them we wanted to pay. Considering there were only a few guests at four tables, the service was very poor! In terms of service, we probably won't be coming back!

Diese waren auch freundlich und aufmerksam. Leider kam nach dem Hauptgang wieder lange nichts. Erst auf Handzeichen zu den sitzenden Mitarbeitern konnten wir mitteilen, dass wir zahlen wollten. Servicetechnisch, werden wir wohl nicht mehr wieder kommen!

Unfortunately the quality of the food has significantly declined recently. Having eaten here over 20 times over several years I typically get the 43B, with a smooth semi-sweet red curry sauce. Recently the sauce is basically just coconut milk with red oil floating on top and lacks flavor. The meat quality has also declined, with the beef being very fatty and overly chewy. On the most recent visit, we attempted to sit outside on a gorgeous spring day only to be told we wouldn’t be served outside because only three servers were working. The restaurant inside was almost empty, leading me to believe othered have noticed the decline in quality too. There are numerous Vietnamese restaurants in Leipzig and unfortunately I’ll need to start exploring others as Viet Village has disappointed me too much recently.

Nr 32 Knusprige Ente. Hatte es abgeholt. Die Überraschung beim Öffnen war erschreckend. Das Gemüse in der Sosse erträgt und sonst geschmacksfrei. Die Ente geschmacklos und die Haut weich und fett. Und das für 19,90 EUR pro Portion. Absolut nicht empfehlenswert. Nur Fertigküche. Da ist jedes Fastfood besser.

Ate there for business lunch. Nice staff and extensive menu. My crispy duck curry was clearly delicious, but the curry sauce seemed very watery to me. As if the cook had stretched them. It's a real shame, but all in all recommended!

We were expelled from the house with our dog (dachshund) as soon as we sat down... When asked if they would eat dogs, the waiter said YES…we saved our dog!!!

We have been here very often. The food is consistently very tasty. So far we have always received a place even without a reservation. The ambience is very pleasant because the fairly large room is well “insulated” by a modern room separation. In summer you can also sit comfortably outside on the quiet side street. The waiting times have always been very humane. We like coming here. Parking is relatively easy, but you can also easily reach the restaurant by bike.

Can't quite understand the many positive reviews. Average and overpriced Vietnamese. Carrot juice for €6.30. Vegetarian main dishes from €15 upwards, but you get carelessly chopped vegetables and tofu in pieces that are way too big. The lettuce was a single lettuce leaf 20cm long. The food also tasted like glutamate. I expected more, but it's probably just a tourist trap...

Very tasty food and large portions! The Teryiaki sauce was really delicious! I expected more from the "homemade" iced teas, but in the end the Lyche iced tea was just green tea with lychee juice from a tetra pack. The food and drinks were very nicely presented.

Riesige Auswahl von typischer vietnamesischer Küche (Phó) und modernen Gerichten (Bowls). Die Preise sind etwas höher als bei anderen Restaurants in Leipzig. Doch der Preisunterschied lohnt sich absolut, da die Qualität deutlich besser ist. Die Geschmacksvielfalt ist wirklich sagenhaft. Wir haben für 4 Getränke, drei Vorspeisen und zwei Hauptgerichte rund 80 € gezahlt. Alles in allem: wirklich top. Eine Reservierung war bisher nicht notwendig. Man kann sowohl draußen als auch drinnen sitzen. Das Musikerviertel ist recht ruhig, weshalb man auch getrost direkt an der Straße sitzen kann.

It's nice to sit outside and the food looks appealing, but unfortunately the taste of my meal and that of my companion left something to be desired - the peanut sauce didn't taste good and the seitan skewers coated in green sticky rice were soaked in fat - rather unusual for Vietnamese food. The side salad was unseasoned and seemed bland. Overall, unfortunately a disappointing experience.

It took a while until the service came. Although three conditions stood around and had private conversations. The food wasn't worth the money. Cold rice, hard vegetables, cheap meat. Never saw a wok. Dry side salad without dressing. Never this restaurant again. Prices average €16.00, not worth the money.

The food, service and atmosphere in the Viet Village are ok and nice – nothing more. The service is good - except that there is a communication problem with several waiters (I had ordered a pot of green tea, which is known not to steep for long, had no place to put the tea bag and when I pointed this out, I was not given it understood) – and friendly. The food is okay - neither particularly tasty nor bad. The outdoor seating itself is ok, but some of the paving stones in the “footwell” of some of the tables are very loose - it's hard to imagine someone twisting their ankle or falling when getting up.

Fancy place very well located. The restaurant is beautiful, with plenty of seats outside to enjoy their dishes during the summer days. Overall, a wide offer with plenty of vegan options to accomodate everyone. Highly recommeded, one of the best of its kind in Leipzig.

Food poisoning: I ate the duck with peanut sauce here in the evening of June 4, 2024 and was able to enjoy a completely sleepless night that I spent vomiting. This was not only extremely unpleasant, but also meant that I was unable to attend any appointments the following day. I then decided to inform the restaurant of the incident by telephone so that the affected food could be checked and others could be spared the suffering. On the phone they were extremely unfriendly, didn't apologize for the incident and denied any blame. "This can't come from us." I only ate a slice of bread in the morning that day. Therefore, the origin of the food poisoning is clear to me. So in summary I can say the following: The food is dangerous to your health and the service is disrespectful. The visit to the restaurant cost me €25, a lost day of work, around 30 hours of my life as well as physical suffering and great effort. So I can only strongly advise you to avoid this location. If I had been treated differently on the phone, I would have refrained from writing this review.
