Viet Nam Wok in Osnabrück

I was there for the first time today. The staff were very friendly. The chicken with vegetables and rice was okay, freshly prepared. I ate there, but it was too hectic and loud for my taste. It didn't really impress me. Another woman ordered pho without meat. When her food arrived, she immediately said she wanted more vegetables in it. I could completely understand that. There was more broth than vegetables.

The quality isn't as good as it used to be. The pho tastes watery and thin. Unfortunately, there was also less filling than usual. On top of that, the prices are significantly higher. Everyone is familiar with the poor ambiance (dirty, crowded), but in the past, people would have accepted it due to the friendly service and the good, reasonably priced food.

By far the best snack bar in the entire city. You always leave feeling full and happy. I've been eating or picking up food here regularly for years and have rarely, if ever, been disappointed. The service is always top-notch, and even if you take the food to go, it tastes just as good at home. Highly recommended!

Edit: Unfortunately, I now have to edit my review after 1.5 years; in my opinion, the price increases are not justified despite inflation. I used to enjoy going there often, but it no longer has anything to do with a cheap snack. Very, very unfortunate! Original review: I hope the place never closes, because this is one of the best restaurants Osnabrück has to offer. The price is also extremely fair in contrast to some chains. The Pho always tastes a little different, but always totally delicious and intense, which just shows that it is freshly prepared every time. The summer rolls and especially the sauce that goes with them are also highly recommended.

The wait was very long because it was very busy, but the food was truly fantastic. Exactly what was missing in Oldenburg.

I've never eaten such excellent duck anywhere. The meat was as tender as butter and the breading was super crispy. The best part: You could even taste the individual spices in the breading. The restaurant is quite small and unassuming, and also very busy. Therefore, the ambiance isn't outstanding, but the good service and the food make up for that.

At a company event in Munich, several people enthusiastically talked about this pho shop in Osnabrück. I was skeptical at first because the shop itself looks rather unassuming from the outside. But then I went there and was completely convinced. It was, without a doubt, the best pho in Germany, and the prices are unbeatable. The most honest shop in Osnabrück and the surrounding area!!!

Super delicious. I love the tofu pho there. Spicy, lots of fresh herbs, and the tofu is both juicy and crunchy. Nice, large portion for about €11.

I recently visited the Viet Nam Wok in Osnabrück again and was completely impressed. I was particularly impressed by the pho soup 🍲 with beef 🥩 - it was simply excellent! The broth was incredibly aromatic, the meat was tender and the fresh herbs 🌿 and the rice noodles were perfectly balanced. Lemon wedges 🍋 and chili 🌶️ were served with it. It was a real taste experience that immediately reminded me of 🇻🇳. The service was also exemplary. I was served very politely and courteously; the staff were always attentive and friendly without being intrusive. As a guest you really feel welcome and in good hands. The ambience is pleasant for a snack and invites you to linger. Everything is clean and simple but attractively designed so that you immediately feel at home. I can definitely recommend the Viet Nam Wok 👍🏼 and I will definitely come back!

Pho is highly recommended! By far the best in Osnabrück and generally just very good! They also have vegetarian options for which there is an extra vegetarian broth. I've been there for years and everything about the store is just right.

Very good Vietnamese cuisine. It's expensive. But it’s really tasty and the portions are great. I recommend the Pho Bo beef noodle soup! I really highly recommend it. Delicious. The atmosphere is cozy, but there is still not enough space inside. There are always a lot of people 😅 service..., it was a little difficult to negotiate, the Vietnamese are just Vietnamese with a characteristic accent for everything, but it’s still possible. In any case, I give it 5+++++

We always drive here from Münster just to eat pho here. It's so incredibly delicious, it's so addictive. I could eat it every day. It's such an inconspicuous shop but this Pho. No matter where I tried pho, it was nothing like this. Try it! You'll love it!

Not recommended. We had ordered duck with curry and a coconut curry soup - we were served a pho and some kind of curry sauce with rice. We were able to swap that without any problems, but that didn't console us over the extremely sweet “soup”, which was like a pudding with 4 pieces of tofu (even though it was ordered with meat). The duck curry was the diluted “soup” but was still so sloppy that it was gloopy from the duck. The rice was dry, cold and overcooked. Maybe we should have chosen the pho that was accidentally served, which was ordered by 90% of the other guests. Unfortunately we couldn't finish it because it was inedible. Cash only!

The soups are rich and seem to be very popular. The food was fresh, crunchy, homemade and tastefully seasoned. Various sauces etc. are offered separately for spiciness and special tastes. There are no ready-made stories like you get in some places. Everything was delicious!

Top essen mit größtenteils gerechtfertigten Preisen und individuellen Nachwürz-optionen. Pho, in großen Portionen, schmeckt ziemlich authentisch und Rind darin ist schön zart. Was mir leider negativ Aufgefallen ist sind 5€ für 2 Sommerrollen mit Garnelen und Rind, was ich etwas übertrieben finde. Laden ist Sonntags gut besucht, weshalb es eventuell deinen etwas warm werden kann, aber trotzdem noch nicht zu laut. Freundlicher Service. Alles in allem ein sehr guter Laden. Gerne wieder!

Ich komme regelmäßig und es schmeckt wirklich sehr gut. Die Suppen können mit Chili 🌶️ und Zitrone 🍋 selbst dem Geschmack angepasst werden. So macht es Spaß. Das Ambiente lässt glaube ich viele nicht auf den tollen Geschmack kommen. Hier sehe ich ein bombastisches Potenzial. Bis bald.

Pho ist OK, kann man dort gut Essen, bei den anderen Gerichten muss man sich durchprobieren. Ich liebe die vietnamesische Küche, von daher bin ich verwöhnt und finde die Gerichte durchschnittlich.

Das Team hier ist super nett und das Essen lecker. Besonders liebe ich die Pho Tofu mit Gemüse. Die Pho-Brühe hier ist für meinen Geschmack deutlich leckerer als bei vielen anderen Restaurants. Und die Portion macht einen gut satt. Lecker! Ich komme hier schon seit Jahren hin. 👍👍

Günstiges und m.M. nach das beste vietnamesische Essen in Osnabrück. Klein aber fein. Immer gutes Essen, nichts großartiges um dort vor Ort schön Essen zu gehen aber für den großen Hunger oder mit Freunden ist man dort immer gut aufgehoben. Sonst kann man Essen auch abholen und es sich daheim gemütlich machen.

Es gibt nur drei richtig gute Asia Imbiss in OS und dieser gehört dazu!!!

8 Jahre lang war ich Stammkunde und habe zeitweise sogar mehrmals die Woche dort gegessen. Diese Ära endet nun leider. Leider stimmt die Qualität überhaupt nicht zur Preisrelation. Ambiente, Service, Hygiene und Sanitäreinrichtungen sind einfach unangemessen für den aufgerufenen Preis. Darüber hinaus hat die Qualität der Brühe deutlich nachgelassen oder unterliegt zumindest höheren Qualitätsschwankungen als vorher - sie wurde über die Jahre immer öliger. Thai Basilikum gibt es auch schon länger nicht mehr. Und für eine 12€ teure phõ nehme ich keine angegammelten Zitronen, aus einer mit anderen Gästen geteilten Plastikbox, in Kauf. Und das ist nur ein Beispiel für die Details, die nicht passen, man früher aber aufgrund der Qualität und des Preises hinwegsehen konnte... Und das Thema mit dem Bargeld und den "Abholscheinen" die keine Quittungen sind...naja. Ich finde das total schade, denn ich bin immer sehr gerne dorthin gegangen. Hoffentlich finden sie einen Weg, das Konzept anzupassen.

Nachtrag: wir waren mal Stammkunden, die Preiserhöhung empfinden wir als vollkommen überzogen, daher jetzt nurnoch 2 Sterne. Vorher 5 Sterne Rezension: Die Phos sind einfach super lecker Der Rest auch ;)

Ein Laden an der Grenze zur Schangeligkeit. Ein bisschen angeranzt, ein bisschen schiefe Tapete und ein bisschen eng. Würde das für mich nicht zum Erlebnis "vietnamesisch Essen" gehören, würde ich für das Ambiente eher nur drei Sterne geben. Aber....das Essen ist ein bisschen sehr gut. Die Brühe die ich hatte war sehr lecker und die Portion reichlich. Die Sommerrollen hätten gern mehr gewürzt sein können, unterm Strich waren sie aber in Ordnung. Auch die anderen Gerichte die ich sah und mir, dank der "Gemütlichkeit" genau ansehen konnte, machten alle einen leckeren Eindruck. Also auf jeden Fall eine Empfehlung. 😊

2021: Beste Pho Suppe in Osnabrück und Umgebung Update 2022: Ein Stern Abzug, weil die Suppe bei einer Inflationsrate von 7% um ca 25% verteuert wurde. Schmeckt zwar immer noch besser als Sprit, aber die Massnahme hätte auch von unseren geschätzten Mineralölkonzernen sein können. Man kann der netten Familie das zusätzliche Geld gönnen, aber ok ist das trotzdem nicht... Update 2023: Weitere Verteuerung um 2 Euro,, was also 2021 noch 7,90 gekostet hat, kostet jetzt 11 - dafür kaum noch Grünzeug in der Suppe. Also Preissteigerung von ca 40 Prozent bei gleichzeitigem deutlichem Qualitätsrückgang. Phosuppe mit Tofu genauso teuer wie mit Rindfleisch, aber in jedem normalen Restaurant wäre die billiger als mit Rindfleisch. Bestellt man Wasser erhält man eine kleine Wasserflasche aus Plastik für 3 Euro, man trinkt dafür aus der Flasche, die ein Glas erhält man nicht. Die Preise sind inzwischen nahezu auf Restaurant Niveau, das Ambiente, das man in einem normalen Restaurant mit bezahlt, ist hier immer noch auf Pommes Buden Niveau ... Die starke Preissteigerung der letzten beiden Jahre ist nicht mit der Inflation erklärbar und die gebotene Leistung hat sich eher verschlechtert. Die Suppe schmeckt immer noch super gut, aber das Gesamtpaket stimmt nicht mehr. Deshalb zwei Sterne Abzug... Schade drum... Ich gehe da jedenfalls nur noch selten hin und setze mich dann lieber für ein paar Euro mehr in ein schönes Restaurant mit Service.

Sehr lecker und frisch alles. Familienbetrieb, alle sehr nett und mit herz dabei. Preise wurden leider angehoben, aber das lässt sich aktuell ja nicht vermeiden.
