Vetro in Dortmund

Disaster! It was our first time there and we wanted to end the evening with a cocktail. However, as soon as we walked in we were shown that students were apparently not welcome there. I approached the waitress and politely asked for a table for two. However, the waitress just looked at me in shock and said in a very condescending tone that we should sit at a table at the front of the restaurant, because no one else was sitting there. Somewhat surprised by this unfriendliness, we sit down anyway. However, my desire for a cocktail completely disappeared. After a while we each ordered a cocktail. The waiters sat themselves down at a table near us and chatted. However, no one came to us anymore. The waiters showed no interest in us at all and from then on no one came to us anymore. Apparently it wasn't in the waitress' interest that we ordered another drink. We then went to the bar to pay. For a restaurant with slightly higher quality and prices, I also expect good service. However, this left a lot to be desired. I really advise against this restaurant. We're definitely not coming back. Actually didn't even deserve a star. Absolutely disappointing!

The food was great and the service was very friendly and attentive

I was there a long time ago and since I was in Dortmund that day I ate there with my son. Ambience very nice, toilet very clean and tidy. Food was good, service attentive and friendly.

I've been a guest at Vetro for some time. Mostly during the week, in the evenings. Based on some reviews, here is my personal assessment: To eat: The food is always a dream, as are the wines. My absolute favorites as a vegetarian are the Parmesan flan and the truffle pasta. Rarely have I had such good pasta. But this should also be the case on weekends and public holidays. If guests come for the first time and are as disappointed as they were on the last few holidays, then they simply won't come back. As a "regular" I would be absolutely upset as I would expect the same quality as always. About the service: I find not only my favorite waiters, but also the other service staff who have served me so far, to be absolutely friendly and competent. You get good advice and can laugh with them, which is very important to me. I'm happy every time I see the familiar faces. A good restaurant depends on good service. This should also be guaranteed at all times. About the ambience and some guests: I love the atmosphere and think that if you go to a good restaurant in the evening, you have to dress accordingly. Unfortunately, nowadays you see more and more people wearing joggers and caps (previously unthinkable, but that's a different topic), but unfortunately an upscale ambience and meal can quickly turn sour if some attention is not paid to appropriate clothing in a good restaurant. So I can understand if guests who make an effort no longer feel comfortable surrounded by cap-wearing kids in joggers. Sure, everyone is a paying guest, but there are countless alternatives for families with children or teenagers who like to go out in joggers. Unfortunately, less and less for people who prefer to go out in style. Vetro is currently my favorite restaurant. I hope it stays that way.

Slow service don’t come here if you are in a rush it feels as if they buy the ingredients when you order the food so it’s fresh

Five of us had dinner at Vetro on a weekend for a birthday. Everyone enjoyed the food very much, but there were a few points about the service that bothered us. I once worked in service myself and I think that in this price segment the employees should be better trained with regard to fine dining. A waitress wore her long hair down, which was simply not appropriate. We had to place drink orders several times and the wrong drinks were still brought to us. For example, several times we had to order a bottle of Pinot Gris with four glasses and then first only received a single glass and later a bottle with too few glasses, only to realize when drinking that it was the wrong grape variety. On the other hand, it wasn't always clear to us which waitress was responsible for us and yet, when we complained, we were often told that we should let the responsible service person know, and corrections were often responded to in a rude manner. The menu says a different type of wheat beer than what is available and this was not pointed out when ordering. The ambience is nice, but the design still needs to be worked on because it gets too loud and you can hardly have a conversation over the table.

I don't even know where to start... the main courses all arrived cold! We waited for a coke for 2 hours.. The way the employee (with the long blonde hair) was just a disaster! I have never experienced being served in such a cheeky and rude way in my entire life! And all because I wanted to eat my main course warm. Instead of being courteous, the lady did the complete opposite and was super cheeky! On top of that, unpleasant looks were thrown at me throughout the evening. That was the last time we were here as a team. But still a thank you to the lady with the dark hair who tried to save our evening :)

We were a bit skeptical at first today because of the reviews. Ambience great, okay a bit noisy but you could have a good conversation. The staff was attentive and friendly. Drinks came regularly. The food is a little more expensive but very good. Had penne a rabiatta sorry if spelled wrong, it was good, could have been a little more. My wife had great pizza and everything was perfect. We'll definitely be back.

I usually love it with you! The food is always great and the staff are all friendly and accommodating 😊 But unfortunately I was disappointed on New Year's Eve. Unfortunately, the New Year's Eve menu only had meat, I eat vegetarian. Accordingly, I asked twice in advance whether it would be possible as a vegetarian to spend New Year's Eve with you there. This was answered in the affirmative and promised that the menu would be modified for vegetarians. On the spot, on the evening itself, it seemed like it was very surprising that I would like a vegetarian option and I was offered a pizza as an alternative. No pasta or anything like that. The waitress tried to make it possible for me to have the pasta, but all she ever received was a rejection from the kitchen. She was already sorry too. If you had told me beforehand that my main course would be pizza, I would have thought twice about the menu for just under €100. It's a shame, think about it this New Year's Eve. You can do more and be more flexible.

The atmosphere is nice and the service is friendly. Unfortunately the food wasn't good. My pizza was strangely soft and reminded me of a frozen pizza. The carbonara was acceptable. In general, I didn't find the menu very original. For example, spaghetti aglio e olio is offered. This is the simplest and cheapest meal you can prepare in Italy. It costs practically nothing, only the Vetro charges a double-digit amount. There are tastier and more original pasta dishes than this. It's a shame that they aren't offered.

Nice restaurant, great ambience and nice service (even if some were forgotten when refilling the wine). Unfortunately, the kitchen performance wasn't right at all, the bread was hard and dry, something like that shouldn't go out. The starter e.g. B. the beef tartare was ok, but neither seasoned nor marinated, certainly one of the worst I've eaten so far. The Cafe de Pari Butter that was included on the menu was completely missing. The meat was cooked perfectly, but the lack of product quality was also noticeable here. I've been to Vetro several times, but unfortunately the kitchen performance here has deteriorated.

Christmas, there was nothing left, no attentive staff, no well-kept food. The bread plate with olives was good as always. The mixed starter plate was also ok. The tagliatelle with salmon was so “al dente” that you had to chew very well to eat it. The Pulpo was a small arm, very very salty, the amount of it suited to “haute cuisine”. On the other hand, the amount of mashed potatoes presented carelessly on the plate was more suitable for filling a lumberjack. The espresso served was cold. The “receptionist” (presumably the boss) and the chef de rang didn’t have “goodbye” on the tip of their tongue when we left your restaurant in our coats. Admittedly, getting staff for Christmas Day is certainly difficult. (There is no “Christmas discount” for poor performance) The amount of unqualified service girls didn't help either. Overall, given the price, a very unsatisfactory visit.

Unfortunately I think it's overrated for the prices quoted.

First of all...to bring it to a point: For me (probably because of its beautiful ambience) a completely overrated Mediterranean restaurant. When I'm served a pretty tasteless "cream" at the beginning (at these prices, mind you!) and no home-made herb butter with the (really great fresh and obviously home-baked) bread, the "off-taste" is already starting to hit me. If I'm then served "Caprese", which is described on the menu as having buffalo mozzarella (that's how it should be originally) and then it's just plain normal mozzarella and for just under €17 you only get a portion of €10 at most, that's it already cheeky. By the way, basil was completely missing. My "Caeser Salad" (I strongly suspect it's supposed to be called "Caesar's Salad"...please correct me...🤣) wasn't outstanding either. The chicken fillet pieces were obviously fried in frying fat in the pan or on the plate and unfortunately you could taste that too. I would have liked a high quality oil here. Unfortunately the taste wasn't that good. The fatty taste drowned everything out. My wife's pasta (linguine with veal tips) was outstanding. However, the portion was not appropriate for the price. My son felt the same way when he ordered spaghetti carbonara and finished his portion after a few forkfuls. However, the taste was very good. My conclusion: the food is overpriced. Good, authentic Italian food is definitely cheaper in Dortmund.

The food is way too expensive for the quality! The pizza looked like it had been thawed. The burger with BBQ sauce was not good. Tuna was good.

I was disappointed with the location. The ambience is appealing. The price-performance ratio is not right. The starter was good, but not worth the price. My prawns were flabby and covered in garlic. The drinks in a larger group only worked after repeated requests. There are much better locations in the Dortmund area.

Good food nice service. Unfortunately, the tap beer ran out during our stay or the tap system was broken, so we switched to bottled wheat beer and wine.

My girlfriend had pasta pasta cooked without salt aglio e olio don't understand what's difficult about it for the price and fillet medium rare was intended medium well sorry but that's not possible

Pretty average store for the prices, honestly the store feels more special than it is and you can tell that as a guest. Waiting for food, an eternity And what's worse is that I went home hungry.

The food wasn't even mediocre for the prices, it's the perfect restaurant for people who want to limit how expensive their meal is but have no idea.

I had dinner there today with two friends. The atmosphere is nice and people quickly asked for drinks and food. Food was also tasty. They asked once if everything was OK and no one has been seen since. The empty glasses were cleared away after about an hour. Would we like anything else? The question didn't come. A restaurant thrives on service. But maybe we didn't look so smart that they wanted to get rid of us quickly. Wouldn't eat at Vetro again.

Pizza top past top service top steaks and sauce just disgusting sauce no taste like water we are just very disappointed never again

The new head chef had to leave Vetro after a short time. That was nothing. Unfortunately, the quality has suffered greatly in recent months, particularly due to problems in the kitchen. Extremely long waiting times and deficiencies in service do not make the overall impression any better. We can only hope that Vetro returns to its former strength as soon as possible. I keep my fingers crossed!

We made a reservation at short notice (2 people) and after some confusion we got our desired spot on the back terrace. After placing the orders, it took around 20 minutes until they were served in the following order: starters (break), drinks (water, wine - break) and then the bread with spread and olives. Pay attention to the order and the breaks. After that we were probably forgotten. After about 30 minutes and our questioning and friendly reaction to this process, the main courses were brought, with the apology and the offer that the dessert or espressos were on the house. The service seemed uncoordinated and sloppy. Forgiving: Both the starters and the main courses and wines were of the usual good quality. The Zabione (as requested, without ice and without fruit) was more of a "Marsala soup" with a thin layer of foam. Finally 2 espressos. When we looked at the bill the next day (we didn't print it out) (around €147), we realized that this amount would only come about if the desserts were included in the calculation. Conclusion: food top, service simply wrong. There will be no further visit.

Never again! We ate there with the whole family. My father ordered a 250g steak, but the waiter only brought a tiny 150g piece. Nevertheless, in the end we were charged for a 250g steak. When I complained about this, not only the waiter but also the chef started arguing with me. The chef had the audacity to claim that he had weighed the meat and everything was correct. The managing director should urgently find out about this. This incident was not only disappointing but also extremely sad. Therefore I will never eat in this restaurant again.

We have known Vetro since 2020, and whenever we were in Dortmund we looked forward to it. Unfortunately we were very disappointed on what was probably our last visit. Ambiance and service are still good. The reception was a bit bumpy. We had ordered a table and said so, the gentleman turned around the room a little stressed and then said “at most one table from them here”. But we had free choice on the terrace. Thank you very much! The waitress was extremely friendly and was quick and attentive. The neighboring tables all received bread and olives on the house, unfortunately we didn't. The bruschetta came quickly, but was fridge cold. Pasta was good and tasty, but no longer a highlight as we were used to. The amount of pasta was also a bit too little for the amount of sauce. The pizza with Iberico and buffalo mozzarella ended up being a margarita with a lot of cheese, ham on top and a small cold ball of mozzarella in the middle. Unfortunately it was left in the oven for too long and burned. That's why she went back half the time. Even the pizza baker around the corner could have done a better job. But the wine was good 👍🏽 In the end, the bill was not appropriate for the service, 2 glasses of wine, 1 bottle of water, 2 dishes and a starter at 80 euros was too high. Too bad!

We were welcomed very nicely in the restaurant, our waitress is a very nice lady, we were able to choose our place. We chose a table on the terrace, where our nice waitress served us. The dishes we ordered were delicious,😋😋 the head chef was again at his best 👍 we say, thank you very much for this lovely evening in the Vetro restaurant and like to come back. 👍🥂.

Unfortunately, we are extremely disappointed with our last visit. Starting with the staff, who admittedly communicated very loudly with each other halfway through the store, there wasn't much of a relaxed atmosphere there. The shop was very empty (probably due to a la carte) & the staff was very young & awkward. Food & Drinks: Wildberry Lilles from my friend lovelessly without berries in transparent, actually never observed in such a location. Apple spritzer Appetizer: “Bread on the house” olives, cream & bread” The bread was already past its best days (2-3 days old) & the cream was already half floating out of the shell when it arrived (liquid, watery - unfortunately no photo was taken) Bruschetta was good, as usual 👍🏻 Chicken in mango chutney (we were informed after ordering that it was only possible with plums or applesauce) So we canceled immediately. Main course: See photo: Gnocchi with broccoli & gorgonzola gratinated, served on a Zewa 😂😂😂 (Photo was actually only taken to send it to a friend who advised me not to go to Vetro) The taste was OK if you ignore the fact that you only tasted cheese in the dish. Linguine Gamberetti was ok About the invoice: “The bread on the house” was actually listed at 3.90 euros 😂 Otherwise just under 80 euros for 2 drinks, a bruschetta & 2 pasta dishes & not forgetting “bread on the house” This is how you imagine a meal for your girlfriend’s birthday 😉

Das Vetro hat ein schönes Ambiente und zwei Terrassen, von denen eine - die der Straße abgewandte - ebenfalls sehr schön ist. Der Service ist - obwohl sich einige Mitarbeiter wirklich bemühen - unterirdisch schlecht.Schwache Organisation mit falsch angelieferten Speisen (Nachbartisch), umherirrenden Auslieferern von Speisen und Getränken („ach - nicht für Ihren Tisch?“), langen Wartezeiten (wahrscheinlich wenig Personal, schlechte Organisation), keine freiwillige Nachfrage der überlasteten Angestellten, ob man denn noch etwas haben wolle (wir wurden nie nach dem Hauptgang gefragt oder ob man noch weitere Getränke möchte). Die Küche ist entweder ebenfalls überlastet und vereinfacht sich so manches oder die dort arbeitenden Menschen haben keine Kenntnis von dem, was sie machen sollen. Parmesan-Krusten auf den Vorspeisen waren lange vorher hergestellt und wurden kalt und zäh serviert. Auberginen und Zucchini rein in billigem Fett gebraten wurden ungewürzt gereicht. Beim Lachs-Tartar war die Haut vor dem Zerteilen nicht abgelöst worden…. Eine Zabaione war eine lauwarme Suppe aus geschlagenen Eiern ohne Geschmack. Kein Marsala, nichts. Am besten waren Käse, Salami und Wein - da konnten die nicht viel falsch machen. Außer die letztgenannten waren die Speisen - aber auch Cocktails - ihr Geld nicht wert.Alles ohne Liebe und Engagement…

Die Preise sind explodiert und das Preis Leistungsverhältnis stimmt nicht mehr. Es gibt auch kein Brot mehr vorab und offensichtlich möchte man nur noch die Upperclass bedienen. Der Service war allerdings sehr bemüht und sehr freundlich.

Das Vetro hat einen neuen Küchenchef: Daniel. Man merkt die erlernte Schule unter Nelson Müller und Dyllong deutlich. Die Vorspeisen Lachs Tatar und Wagyu Carpaccio waren sehr lecker. Tolle Regenbogenforelle mit Meermandeln, auch der Wagyu-Burger und die Kalbsleber waren sehr gut. Klasse Dessertvariationen. Kurzum: ein schöner und leckerer Abend bei tollem Service. Ja, man muss auf das Essen etwas warten, aber es war auch komplett voll. Beide Terrassen waren mit Gästen besetzt. Aber wir wollen ja auch einen schönen Abend genießen und nicht durch das Essen hetzen.

We heard about the extreme deterioration of the Vetro and wanted to see for ourselves. Unfortunately our visit was a huge disappointment. The restaurant has declined significantly and is definitely no longer part of the upscale gastronomy in Dortmund. The main courses were inedible so we had to return them. The audience has also changed; Where there used to be an upscale clientele, you can now find dubious guests. It's hard to believe that Vetro is venturing into Dortmund à la carte with this image. We are firmly convinced that the Vetro's image has now been ruined for good. A visit here is definitely no longer worth it.

Service was very poor, no one cared when I spilled the drink and asked me to wipe it away. You're pretty overwhelmed, eating takes forever. For a bit of bread and olives you wait an hour and then get it dry without leaving anything there. The starter then came together with the main course after over 1 1/2 hours. It used to be a really great restaurant, but it has declined quite a bit. I wanted to give it another chance, I definitely won't be coming back!

Absolutely amazing food! The chef personally presented us with his menu and gave us excellent advice. The service was very nice, even if the very casual language (bro, I'll do it) doesn't suit the restaurant. But still highly recommended and saved for future visits ;)

Restaurant recommended by the hotel opposite. We were passing through for a Euro 2024 match. First of all, we were well received. With friendly attentions after the victory of our country (Portugal) Quality service, very good pizza with fresh products. I loved! I can only recommend this restaurant. Wir waren zu viert und nicht das erste Mal im Vetro, aber dafür zum letzten Mal. Ich hatte mir einen BBQ-Burger mit Pommes bestellt. Als er kam, war der Deckel des Buns schwarz. Darunter der Bacon: schwarz, so auch die Zwiebeln. Ich ließ ihn zurückgehen. ‚Selbst der Kellner sagt, er hätte das auch nicht genommen. Kurz darauf kam er wieder. Es wurde jedoch nur der Deckel ausgetauscht. Der Bun unten war nach wie vor verbrannt. So auch der Bacon. Die Pommes mittlerweile kalt. Ich ließ ihn wieder zurückgehen und verzichtete auf einen dritten Anlauf und damit auf Essen an diesem Abend, zumindest im Vetro. Eine E-Mail mit Bildern ist an die Geschäftsleitung gegangen. Es kam nie eine Antwort. Daher diese Rezension, wenn sich schon beim Vetro niemand für Feedback interessiert. Sehr geehrtes Vetro: Vier Stammkunden verloren.

There were four of us and it wasn't our first time at Vetro, but it was our last time. I ordered a BBQ burger with fries. When it came, the lid of the bun was black. Underneath the bacon: black, as are the onions. I let him go back. 'Even the waiter says he wouldn't have taken it either. Shortly afterwards he came back. However, only the lid was replaced. The bun at the bottom was still burnt. So does the bacon. The fries are now cold. I let him go back and forewent a third attempt and thus decided not to eat that evening, at least at Vetro. An email with pictures was sent to management. There was never an answer. Hence this review, since no one at Vetro is interested in feedback. Dear Vetro: Four regular customers lost.

Nice food but the slowest service I have ever experienced. Waited 10 minutes for menu, 20 minutes for a drink and 45 minutes for the starter which still has not arrived as I write. Complained several times but no response except a shrugged apology. Great place to start a diet

Vetro has been one of my favorite restaurants for a long time. Today I was there again and I'm even more enthusiastic than usual. Since the new chef arrived, Vetro has outdone itself once again. Whether the chicken in tempura with mango chutney or the tagliatelle with salmon in a tomato cream sauce, which I order almost every time - today these dishes impressed me again. What particularly stood out today were the chanterelle cream soup and the chicken in fried vegetables with mashed potatoes. Even after I was full, I couldn't get enough of the sauce. Overall, the food was unbeatable. As always, the atmosphere was very pleasant and the service was extremely friendly and accommodating. We will definitely be back in a few weeks to try the dry ager meat.

I absolutely can't understand these reviews, what the new chef has done for the better there should be respected, he even comes to the table himself even though it was full and he was stressed, which is understandable when the restaurant is full, but he takes his time for the guests, which is extremely rare, and also 2 extra cards with food The food there is currently worth more than 5 stars, the service is very nervous and has little to no confidence in serving the guests, which is a shame. Restaurant with a nice terrace to sit outside and maybe enjoy an Aperol Spritz, then unfortunately that's where it ends. Disastrous waiting times for the food. Unlike other guests, we were even lucky with a 1.5 hour wait for our food. If we had been spoiled with culinary delights, we wouldn't have even complained. All dishes were practically unseasoned, sour spaghetti, musty mussels. Terrible. The kitchen team would be new and the Italian pasta chef would be gone. Unfortunately you notice that. We experienced a number of angry guests on June 28th, 2024. I have never experienced anything like it. A pity.

Fries soggy and alternatively charred. Sausage cold. Sauce way too spicy. Beer stale. Way too expensive.

Unfortunately, I can't say much positive about our last visit to Vetro. The first drinks were brought quickly, the food order was taken quickly - from then on the evening was not very satisfactory. Glasses were not cleared away, new drinks were not brought/forgotten. After waiting 1.5 hours, we asked where our order was and were informed that it would always take between 1-1.5 hours on average. Even if I find this time insufficient, this information is a detail that I would have liked to have been given in advance. After asking in the kitchen, the really friendly waiter assured us that our food would be served within the next maximum 15 minutes - after another 30 minutes we decided to leave the restaurant hungry at 10 p.m. Another piece of information that I as a guest would like to know in advance is about dishes that are on the menu but are no longer available on the day itself. This means there is no delay or disappointment when ordering. On the positive side, however, it should be noted that the drinks received were on the house without any problems.

Very good food on the sun terrace, friendly attentive service, top!

I really like the ambience of the restaurant. Unfortunately my last visit wasn't very pleasant. The quality of the food was merely satisfactory. Service ok but although not very busy, very busy with another table. These customers had their orders earlier than us, even though they arrived after us. I found that a bit strange in an almost empty restaurant. All I can say is that I unfortunately had to revise my previously very positive rating downwards.

New chef at Vetro 🙏 He raised the level that had decreased over time and with his specials like the tomahawk and the lobster he made the vetro better than it was before Keep it up 👍

Our first visit to Vetro. On the recommendation of friends, we chose Vetro for dinner today. The ambience makes a modern and very well-kept impression. Immediately feel-good character. The service welcomed us and accompanied us very well and discreetly from start to finish. There were recommendations about the cuisine and wines. We ordered ox cheeks on truffled mashed potatoes and a rib-eye steak with a side dish. (I would like to recommend the pepper sauce as a tip) Before that there were shrimp and beef tartare. All in all a pleasure. Compliments to the kitchen!! It was a very nice evening and we will definitely come back.

The food was indeed amazing, but it seems that the cooks are the only ones truly working and doing their best, they are jumping over their own heads to please the guests, the service on the other hand is " interesting". It seems that they decided to do everything they can on ignoring their customers. We have ordered a T bone steak at the cost of close to 100€, when the meal was offered by our server, we were told that the steak will be cut up for us. When the steak came it was big and it was placed in front of us, the server put on more dinner size plates and left. We were left waiting, until one of the cooks from the kitchen area asked us if the steak was good and we answered that we were still waiting for it to be cut up. After hearing that the cook seemed visibly upset and even took off the apron. He spoke with the man serving us, only then we got our meal prepared for eating, but sadly our steak was already cold and needed to be reheated and it seems that, that have upset the cook even more. After our reheated steak, that was still very delicious was finished, we wanted to refill our drinks but we were ignored by the working staff, the only one who asked if we would like something to order was a woman who, by the outfit did not look like a staff member. We finally got our drinks and a dessert which was perfect and we later found out that the cook told the staff, that our desserts will be free for inconvenience regarding the steak. After that we asked for our check for which we have also waited for more than usual. To summarise all that, the food was amazing, and I am very pleased with the cooks. Regarding service, it felt like we were costplayng ghosts and we're meant to be ignored. I am going to note that the restaurant was not busy or overcrowded noticing how many tables there were and how many customers were served. I would personally not dine there again, unless you don't mind slow service and being ignored, but would like top notch food. If you only want amazing food then it's the place for you. Thanks to the cooks for doing their best.

The staff is and has always been friendly. You could give 5 stars here. But: the waiting time for food gets longer from visit to visit. Today it was 90 minutes for 4 people. The price-performance ratio also decreases. The portions were very clear and unfortunately the price of €23.50 for the salad doesn't fit. The food is good quality and tasty. Nevertheless, VETRO has to be careful that it can't just advertise with a pleasant atmosphere.

Good service has its price. The food was really delicious - I was able to eat a chanterelle salad + linguine with veal tips. Despite a mishap with the main course (oversalted, mistakes are human) I was always treated respectably. I was personally apologized for and a new, perfect plate was brought to me. I will definitely eat here again if I get the chance.

This restaurant deserves more than 5 stars. I celebrated my birthday there and am more than satisfied. Fantastic evening, many thanks to the whole Vetro team. We will be back!

Not recommendable!! The cash register was allegedly defective and the service staff was understaffed or overwhelmed. Had to accept longer waiting times.

1.5 hours wait for starter, then burnt main course! Overall, it's a shame, especially since the long wait for the main course unfortunately hasn't changed in 2... we gave the Vetro another chance after 2 years...

The two of us spontaneously went one evening. Service was very nice, all dishes were great. Unfortunately, from an Italian restaurant that also serves pizza, I wouldn't expect mixed bread (gray bread) to end up on the table. It's a shame!

We were there yesterday at lunchtime with 3 adults, after 20 minutes a waiter came. 20 minutes later three cappuccinos, then three meals should be delivered at the same time. The bruschetta came, but the rest didn't. Asked three times, yes it will happen, but it would take a while. The restaurant may be 30% full. In the end we got up after 90 minutes and paid. The very unfriendly waitress then blasphemed to her colleague: "They're just leaving now, cheeky right!?" I've been to Vetro dozens of times, but I've never experienced anything like that. Such unfriendly service. Well for the last time for now…..

The restaurant is probably owned by someone different today than it was years ago, and the quality was rapidly declining while the price was rising. It's not good here anymore.

Wonderful stay… ...If you wait 1.5 hours for your food, you've come to the right place. Even after asking several times you are just put off. The restaurant is not full, so the waiting time cannot be justified by occupancy. Staff who seem annoyed when asked do not make the stay a success. Nice note: water was put on the table as compensation 2 bottles for 10 people. I imagine the staff's comment that not all the pizzas ordered fit in the oven would be funny if everyone had ordered a pizza. The restaurant's explanation as to why It took so long because they wanted to serve all the dishes at once. This also only worked with a delay, because out of 10 dishes, 7 were brought to the table at the same time and 3 one after the other. Pizza not particularly tasty (subjective impression) All in all, not a repeat! Lost quality of life! Price performance has nothing to do with inflation increases.

Our waiter Nikita was excellent. The food was delicious and well prepared. Nice presentation. The restaurant is inside and amazing architecture building.

I was there yesterday with my daughter. The starter for mine Daughter was served in a reasonable time. Unfortunately, the main course(s) took a while to arrive because there was obviously a misunderstanding in the communication between the employees. A lady, presumably the restaurant manager, apologized. So far so good, it can happen, no problem. The point of criticism, however, is that nothing, absolutely nothing, happened after consumption. The empty plates were not cleared away and no employee came to our table. We would have liked to order another dessert, but by now over 2 hours had actually passed. In my opinion, based on the audience, there was enough staff. I'm not a restaurant expert, but I'm a logistician. And logistics should also work in a restaurant. The neighboring tables were constantly supplied with food and drinks, but the employees' "returns" were always "empty" instead of clearing tables in the immediate vicinity. This would shorten distances, save time and money, increase sales and shorten reaction times for guests. In summary, I don't want to criticize, but perhaps my contribution will help people think about it internally. There is always room for improvement - every day!!!

Was there for lunch. Somehow food is tasteless. Bruschetta without garlic. Pizza probably not seasoned at all. Asked for spicy olive oil and got Tabasco... Slightly overpriced. 0.2l apple spritzer costs 0.5l like others. Service is nice.

Good food, but unfortunately too salty.

The meal was a real experience. Super tasty and well prepared. Prices are just a bit too expensive. For example, our beer was constantly stale without a foam crown, a no-go for a place like this But I would still come back for the food.

Great ambience, super friendly waiters but the management today on March 2nd, 2024 approx. At 5-6 p.m. he was there with the green thsirt, long blonde hair who constantly yelled at the waiters and caused negativity, that's not possible! It should be changed quickly or learned to adjust its volume alongside customers. Actually it deserves 5 stars! A pity.

Nice shop. The waiter is crazy and on a first-name basis, you have to like it. Drinks were taken quickly, then the waiter lost his attention. Risotto was ok but not mushy. Unfortunately the fish was fried to death.

Very tasty food and the service was excellent and very friendly

Everything is quite overpriced, I can't say I really enjoyed it. But the choice is big, so maybe the dish I chose didn't suit my taste. Very nice service and great ambience.

My husband and I enjoyed our Valentine's dinner there today - it was excellent. The steak was cooked to perfection and the Valentine's dessert was excellent!! As always, the waiter was extremely accommodating! Recommended and a great evening. The restaurant was also incredibly lovingly decorated!

I spontaneously wanted to order a salami pizza with mozzarella to take away. The waitress said this wasn't a problem and would take about 10 minutes. After 30 minutes I received a box containing a lukewarm, medium-sized pizza with ready-made dough and supermarket salami. The best thing: in the middle of the pizza was a cold ball of mozzarella, whole. The chefs there must have really lost all self-respect to call something like this Italian pizza. The store is visually appealing and the staff is also quite friendly. It might be enough for the average redneck in Camp David garb, but. If you want good food, you should go somewhere else

Very nice ambience, dim lighting. Attentive service. Rich menu. And first of all the food, very very tasty. Wines, cocktails, good selection of drinks. I'll be back.

One point deducted because the main dish was rather lukewarm and the carpaccio was very small for the hefty price and didn't even have rocket or anything like that. Service great, cocktails great too
