Rude, unprofessional service. Filth everywhere, American breakfast a joke. This place has deteriorated so much. They only survive on walk-in customers thanks to their good location, most of whom will probably never return.

Unfortunately, despite making a reservation through Groupon, it was closed. A real shame. Therefore, no review of the food can be given.

My portion of pasta was a bit small... otherwise everything was good as always.

We were sitting comfortably in the back aisle and eating our food. We looked through the window at the pasta and salad bar. BIG MISTAKE!!! What we saw at the window: two employees in the gap, clearly arguing and losing their temper. We were stunned and continued to observe the situation, whereupon the most unimaginable thing happened to us. The aggressive employee attacked us with gestures and facial expressions and asked if we had a problem... I think I'm crazy!!! After that, the two employees continued to act up.

Disastrous, once and never again. We ordered food for eight people, and only half of each portion arrived. Two items were missing and the food was delivered incorrectly. The employee was a complete disaster and rude beyond compare. First time and never again

Absolutely not recommended. Everything is just child-sized portions for a lot of money. I ordered the Gnocchi Italy and got 8 gnocchis with tomato sauce, no salmon, nothing, for 10 euros, ridiculous. Others who ordered with me had similar problems.

1 star – never again 💀 Bro… what was that? The food was completely wrong, everything arrived like it had just been hit by an earthquake – the packaging was completely leaking, looked like it had been puked on, no joke. Taste? Zero. Simply sad. I expected more, but was completely disappointed. Little Italy? More like a little disaster. Safe, never again, lol.

There were three of us dining and we were overall very dissatisfied. While the food was average, it was still acceptable for the price. What made the visit truly unpleasant, however, was the service: The waiter was unfriendly, spoke to us without making eye contact, and seemed consistently disinterested and unmotivated. Unfortunately, this was far from a professional or even pleasant service experience.

Great food, great service. We always enjoy coming here when we visit Dortmund.

I would give 5 stars for the rudeness and incompetence of the staff. I don't even know where to start talking. When I came in, I just wanted to drink coffee, but I waited for the waiter for about 10 minutes. Although she walked in front of my nose, some of her son or relative came and she began to feed him, and only then came up to me. They brought me this coffee with grief. When I drank it, I naturally wanted to go to the toilet, but when I went there, I just almost lost consciousness from the sight: the paper in the toilet was stuffed, lying around, it stank terribly and the worst thing was that the flush button had been torn out, literally from the wall. Seeing this, I immediately turned to the waitress and asked what I should do, to which I received the answer, “poke it into the wall, somewhere there you will find a flush button.” After that, I repeated once again that there was no button there, and I didn’t want to just poke at the wall, but I got the same thing as before. I thought okay, I’ll just pay and go home. When the waitress Teresa (the most rude and unpleasant waitress) asked me how I would pay, I answered with a card and you know what I heard, so what? There is no more cash, What kind of boorish and ill-mannered behavior. I was very unhappy to hear this. I will never go to that cafe again

Went there at lunchtime today. We had to wait a long time even though the waitress saw us. The cola was stale, the worst lasagna I've ever eaten. Hardly any meat, just cheese mush. We'll never enter the store again. We were actually regular customers! Only certain guests were given pizza rolls. Impossible waitress, shouldn't act so aloof. Then it works when serving!

I ordered a pizza margherita medium and she disappointed me! I think it had ketchup instead of tomato sauce! It didn't taste like anything and I would have preferred to eat at the bakery! It came relatively quickly and the ambience was okay

Absolute disappointment - never again! My visit to Little Italy was a disaster. Long waiting times, disorganized service and completely overwhelmed staff ruined the evening. Despite repeated requests, our food simply wasn't delivered - and there wasn't even an apology. The service was unfriendly and inattentive, as if the employees didn't care whether the guests were happy or not. After what seemed like forever, we finally left without eating. Definitely not recommended - I definitely won't come back here!

The crew was nice. The food was okay. But what can you expect from an "Italian restaurant" that sells cheeseburgers and Hawaiian pizza... But I was full, and that was the main thing.

This Little Italy restaurant is cult in Dortmund and has a feel-good factor. In the middle of Dortmund, the Westenhellweg welcomes Hansa Str. The team is super friendly and you immediately feel at home, I think I'm in Italy 😉. Super delicious, freshly prepared food invites you to linger, the baked potato with quark and salad... great, thank you!

I've been going there with my mom for years. Tiramisu is to die for. Just like the pizzas! Always recommended and super tasty. Cozy inside, but you could spruce up the seats a bit, they're already completely torn :-/ In the summer you can sit outside, just a shop that you can always visit for a coffee or if you're really hungry :-)

The three of us came here for dinner for the first time. When we arrived we didn't know at first whether we could just sit down somewhere or be assigned a table. Unfortunately, no one responded to us, whether at the counter or from the staff, even though they looked at us. Then we just sat down somewhere. After about 15 minutes the first pizza and rolls arrived, unfortunately it took 10 minutes for the second pizza to arrive, which was really annoying because the first one was almost finished eating. Unfortunately I have to deduct one star here because the points all together are too many to ignore. It's a shame because the pizza and also the rolls with the butter and the sourcream were very tasty and freshly made. The food definitely gets full points. Maybe you can still work on the other things and it will be better the next time you visit.

For me, the food is really delicious and worth a visit, unfortunately the staff is unfriendly as soon as you have paid with a voucher from Groupon, for example. We found out about this restaurant through Groupon and decided on the 2-person breakfast. We received a very friendly welcome. Super friendly waitresses. For a good price, we were served 2 delicious, crispy rolls, 1 croissant, a coffee drink of our choice, cold cuts, an egg, jam, some salad and a glass of orange juice. The breakfast convinced us. The coffee in particular tasted very good. The restaurant extends over two floors. The decor is colorful and inviting. Cool decorations. There is a large television hanging above the entrance door, which can be easily viewed from the lower and upper floors. There was music playing and overall the place put us in a good mood. The toilets were clean. We would decide to have breakfast here again at any time.

I have been a regular customer for 20 years! I love the food! The noodles, especially the baked ones, and the pizza 🍕 are an absolute blast! The Caesar salad is highly recommended. We've known the staff for years and the team is super nice 😍❤️

This really is the most scandalous place out there. Fries were cold and the hamburger makes you sick. The starter comes only after the dessert. If you really respect yourself and your health, you definitely won't come here!

If I could give 0 stars I would do this. Salt and pepper are absolutely foreign in this restaurant. We have never eaten so badly in 31 years. Burnt bread from the bruschetta. Tomatoes slapped on it absolutely carelessly. So the chef should definitely change his career! Pizza absolutely carelessly topped and nothing tasted there either. What needs to be praised is the tiramisu, which was ok. Ordered a cola and got a zero version. (were embezzlement!) So whoever tells me that this is a good thing? He's never really eaten well. As a chef, my toenails curl up there. Absolutely not recommended!

Nice staff. Both pasta dishes (ribbon noodles with salmon and cream sauce) and two pizzas were very tasty, with a good portion size. No disabled toilet. Only the outdoor area and two tables inside are steplessly accessible. Simple atmosphere, between a restaurant and a snack bar. Central location, near the concert hall. Definitely recommended.

Had dinner there on Friday. The lasagne and spaghetti bolognese were ultra delicious. The service was very friendly, the prices were absolutely right. Great value for money! When we are back in Dortmund, we will come back!

Little to remind you of italy. Hand made dough, but baked in a pan. There is a reason italian pizza have just the right amout of cheese, or else you just boil the dough because there no place for the steam from the Tomato to escape. Way to much cheese, domino's style thick, far from italian pizza. The interior is colorful, there is random non child friendly YouTube music videos playing. The waiter was swift, and we had the feeeling she wanted us just in and out. Not recommended for families seeking an italian meal and a nice time. Probably ok if you just want your boring, but filling pizza, and go.

I thought it was a great place to hang out, both inside and outside. The menu offered a wide choice, but I was disappointed with the pizza I ordered. I ordered a stomach cramps pizza, but I got a chicken pizza. The pizza wasn't the best I've ever eaten, but I thought it was funny that I ordered a pizza with a name like stomach cramps. I would recommend Little Italy to people looking for a nice place to hang out and who aren't too picky about their food.

Excellent food (both the pasta and the pizzas) at a more than reasonable price. There is a star deduction because changing the type of pasta from rigatoni to linguini costs €1 extra. With the best will in the world, this is incomprehensible and, in my opinion, a rip-off.

BEWARE RIP-OFF Spaghetti ice cream was priced at €3.95 at the ice cream counter, which would be appropriate for the portion size. After ordering you are invited to the table. After we ate the ice cream and wanted to pay, the price increased to €7.95 because we ate on site. Absolute no go!

Just ate here, another bad experience unfortunately for me as a young, lone, English speaking tourist. I told the man/waiter beef tortellini, 2 minutes later he slaps a big bowl of CHEESE tortellini, after telling him and the other waiter about this, they just argued against me and acted like I was wrong. Is this normal here? Please tell me. Tourists (if there are any after me) please go somewhere else where they speak and understand at least a sliver of English. Thank you.

Visited this 24.06.2024 after the France Poland match. Mediocre pizzas (frozen, fluffy & thin crust, very salty), coke which tastes like carbonated syrup, ineffective service (we were served before our neighbors who had ordered before….., our neighbors were served their 5 dishes in 3 times: 1 guest ate their 2 dishes alone, the other 2 served 30 minutes later, the waiter reproaching them for having "ordered half the menu"...we think we are dreaming!!) with the exception of the server who speaks FR (very friendly, smiling, efficient). At the bill, the waiter (1 other) demanded that we pay together, even though we were carpoolers. He ended up accepting, complaining that the French were behaving badly, "it's always the same with you", ending with an unacceptable remark that smacked of racism "when I come to you I'm not welcome..." . Unacceptable, don't go there. Go spend your money elsewhere. A shame !!

Today I was in the restaurant 'daily' for the first time, which according to the menu is actually called 'little Italy', but it was good. Unfortunately, the restaurant is not recommended for disabled people at all, as the toilet is in the basement and can only be reached via a very narrow and steep spiral staircase. And even the toilets are so narrow that you can hardly move. There was a big blob of quark on the baked potato. Well, not even tzatziki. What broke the whole thing was the tiramisu we got especially for us chocolate addicts. That was top notch. The music was unbearably loud. I can't give it more than 3 stars.

Pizza dough tasted sour, bruschetta was served on toast and the chicken on the salad wasn't cooked through. Thank God my iced tea was from the bottle.
