Take your time! This is not a fast, fancy-insta restaurant. Here you can enjoy time with other people, authentic tastes and original drinks and ingredients from Brazil. The owner does everything himself, kitchen and bar. And he does it great. Of course he needs time. But he is ready to advise and explain.

It's like this: If you're on the go and want to eat things, then that really depends. It depends on what mood you are currently in and what the goal of taking things is. How many things you have already consumed or how you interact with people. And of course also what things you want to eat. If, for example, you are somewhat relaxed and want to eat things to get somewhat tipsy and perhaps be served one or two tasty morsels, then you are right and welcome in the Ver O Peso Bar. At least we were right and welcome. The Caipi, wonderful. The Bolinho de Bacalau, wonderful. The dessert, wonderful. The service is relaxed and courteous. At some point I'll make it and stop by with a hungry stomach... because the feijoada beckons. Yes, and to say goodbye there was... hmm... there was cinnamon in it, cloves and orange too, and alcohol. Delicious. And even if that's not what people like to hear, it's a bit Christmassy. Maybe you shouldn't go if you're looking for quick shots or a case of cheap beer. When you're impatient or full of snot.

Valdemar mixes the best Caipi in Germany, according to me. Very tasty food.

An authentic experience! The owner cooks and mixes the cocktails himself. This slows you down and is different from the regular restaurants where you have to leave after 2 hours at the latest. Tip: don’t order a beer 😜

Our visit was a lovely experience. The innkeeper looked after our wild bunch with the patience of an angel. He fulfilled all of our special requests. This despite the fact that he obviously ran the place - service, counter, kitchen - all by himself. The cocktails were great. The appetizers... - Pasteis with bacalau, chicken and cheese filling - Cassava chips with various sauces ...afterwards we were well full and unfortunately had to skip the main course. And that's where we were so looking forward to feijoada. The only drawback: No beer - but that's what it says on the website - so you can take a breather between cocktails. Gladly again.

The Caipirinha is quite okay. The price is hefty, but you can see that on the menu beforehand. What it doesn't say is that guest bashing takes place in the otherwise rustic bar. Some are into it and it can also be a business model. Definitely not for us anymore. Being received as a supplicant and not as a guest has little recreational value for us. But the model seems to work. There are still enough people going there. We definitely don't anymore

Die größte Enttäuschung. Wir waren vier Personen und haben uns speziell für diese brasilianische Bar entschieden. Mussten extra mit der Bahn hinfahren. Eine von uns ist Brasilianerin und wir haben sie damit überrascht. Damit wir uns unterhalten können, haben wir um einen Tisch gebeten. Es waren genügend frei. Daraufhin fragte der Barkeeper, ob wir denn etwas essen wollen (22Uhr). Wir sagten „nein, wir möchten uns gerne unterhalten. Da meinte er „und trinken auch nichts“. Zuerst dachten wir das soll wohl lustig sein. Aber als er uns die Bierdeckel auf den Tisch geknallt hat, war das erst der Anfang der Unfreundlichkeit. Bis er die Getränke aufgenommen hat saßen wir bestimmt über eine halbe Stunde. Gefühlt widerwillig und gelangweilt hat er die Getränke aufgenommen. Wieder über eine halbe Stunde lies er uns schmoren, bis er uns die Cocktails brachte. Wir dachten noch „gut Ding hat weil“ und freuten uns trotzdem darauf. Aber das was er dann brachte schlägt dem Fass den Boden raus. Minigläser, völlig lieblos angerichtet und scheusslich sauer, da alles nur nach Zitrone geschmeckt hat. Wir wollten noch wissen welcher Cocktail jetzt welcher ist, aber darauf antwortete er nur „so wie sie bestellt haben“ und ist weg gelaufen. Wir hätten von Anfang an einfach wieder gehen sollen und unsere Zeit samt 60€ für vier Getränke woanders investieren.

**Disappointing experience and lack of hospitality** After several visits and reservations that came to nothing due to unadjusted opening hours, as well as a second chance that was denied to us, I unfortunately have to advise against visiting this bar. The arrogance and unfriendliness of the staff is reflected not only in the careless preparation and inflated prices of the cocktails, but also in the disrespectful way in which customers are treated. The long wait for food and drinks, coupled with manageable portions and a limited range of drinks, do not help create a pleasant atmosphere. The inconsistency in music selection increases the feeling of dissatisfaction. Given these experiences, I strongly advise against visiting this bar.

The only thing that is unique here is the bartender's unfriendliness with which he made it clear to us that we were anything but welcome. As a group of 10 people, we wanted to stop for a nightcap in the almost empty restaurant. We are immediately told without a greeting that he only sells cocktails and no beer. That was okay with us and we sat down. When the card was handed out, the house rules were explained to us like a small child. "After two hours we have to leave" and "If we don't consume anything we should leave too." Mind you, none of us had any intention of ordering anything. That was too much friendliness for us and we chose a restaurant where guests were welcome. That wasn't the case here - it's a shame...

Unfortunately, less than 1 star is not possible... We were there for a birthday and had reserved. I have rarely experienced such arrogance and unfriendliness in a restaurant - coupled with carelessly prepared cocktails that are far too expensive for my taste. The way we were treated until the very end when we were paying (the receipt was thrown on the table in a derogatory manner as we passed by) has nothing to do with supposed coolness and certainly nothing to do with Brazilian hospitality, it simply shows bad behavior and a lack of decency. Definitely not recommended.

Ich habe über das Onlineformular einen Tisch reserviert. Anscheinend waren aber die Öffungszeiten nicht angepasst weshalb trotz bestätigter Reservierung das Lokal zu der angegebenen Zeit geschlossen war. Darufhin haben wir bei einem anderen Restaurant in der Gegend gegessen. Als wir anschließend der Bar eine zweite Chance geben wollten und gegen halb 8 auf einen Drink vorbei kommen wollten wurden wir informiert dass die Tische für nur für Leute da seien die auch essen wollten. Dies erschien uns extrem merkwürdig da keiner der Tische reserviert war und ein plötzliches Auffüllen mit Gästen fürs Abendessen um 8 doch sehr unwahrscheinlich erschien.

I don't recommend it SPECIFICALLY if you are Brazilian. We are not welcome there. I made a reservation in advance using the option provided by the establishment using Google Maps. I got there at the reserved time and the restaurant was closed. I ate at the restaurant next door. When we left the restaurant next door, I saw that this establishment was open. I decided to at least go and have a few drinks. At 7:30 pm the place was completely empty, and I was informed that we could only be seated at a table if we were going to eat (I had already eaten because they weren't open at the time of my reservation), if we were just going to drink we could only sit at the bar. He was not greeted in a friendly or cordial way. The Brazilian community in Munich is very strong. Not even Germans treat customers that way. I don't recommend it, it doesn't show Brazilian warmth and friendliness.

Man sollte für dieses Restaurant viel Zeit mitbringen, da der Inhaber sämtliche Aufgaben inklusive das Kochen selber übernimmt. Das Essen und die Cocktails sind aber wirklich hervorragend und sind das Warten allemal wert.

What a night! Finding a Brazilian place was amazing in itself, and all uphill from there. Splendid BBQ and stew, incredible cocktail, and most of all, great company and advice from owner and chef Voldemar. 100% will come again. 🇨🇵❤️🇧🇷

Amazing little Brazilian bar in Munich city center. The owner/bartender is awesome and makes awesome cocktails. Not to be missed for a night cocktail before or after dinner. Will visit again.

Coctails was amazing! 👍 Bar is small, but very cosy. Brazilian atmosphere. Valdemar is the REAL and unique bartender!

Nice selection of cachaca cocktails! If you like old fashioned, try their twist. And of course the caipirinhas! Food was alright - we tried deep fried stuff. Also it is hard not to mention the atmosphere and the vibe. Maybe we were lucky (the place was somewhat empty), but we definitely enjoyed ambience of Brazilian music and the "cozyness" delivered by the bartender.

Ein Restaurant mit Charakter und Atmosphäre wie man sie leider nur noch selten findet in München. Der Barkeeper lieferte ausgezeichnete Cocktails und war sehr freundlich. Vllt ging es manchen nicht schnell genug, ich empfand dies gerade sehr angenehm und entschleunigend

schon lange nicht mehr so excellente Cocktails getrunken!!!! der Preis ist für die Qualität absolut gerechtfertigt… lieber ein wenig mehr bezahlt und dafür kein so süßes Gemisch… der Barkeeper und wahrscheinlich auch Inhaber ist sehr professionnell und versteht sein Handwerk! er hat eine richtige Leidenschaft für seinen Beruf! Wir kommen sehr bald wieder!!!

Wir hatten einen wundervollen Abend dort. Valdemar hat eine One-Man Show geleistet, die ihres Gleichen sucht. Sehr viel Geduld des Gastgebers sorgt für unglaublich leckeres Essen und unfassbar gute Drinks. Wer hier eine schlechte Bewertung lässt, den stört warscheinlich die Geduld die man manchmal mitbringen muss. Wer sich selber und Valdemar gegenüber diese aber mitbringt, der kann hier genießen wie in wenig anderen Bars oder Lokals in München! Danke für einen wundervollen Abend Valdemar. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Es sind entspannte, richtig schöne Abende im Ver o Peso. Eine andere Welt. Sehr persönlich geprägtes Essen, Caipirinha mit ausbalanciertem Geschmack, die Zeit bleibt stehen. Wenn man einen Ausflug nach Brasilien vorhat, kann man nicht richtiger liegen.

Went here for drinks, the Pisco Sour and Caipirinha were so good! The guy who owns the place works there alone at the moment, so he cooks and makes the drinks all by himself, so don't be impatient. The time we had to wait was totally worth it! I'll come back and try the food :)

Super Cocktails, gute Speisen für gemütliches Beisamensein. Wer hier eine schlechte Bewertung lässt, hat einfach ein Problem damit, dass sich der Barkeeper nichts sagen lässt. Sein Lokal, seine Gäste und ist auch gut so. Wenn ihm was nicht gefällt, wird sofort gehandelt. Ja es ist sein Lokal und er bestimmt. Das ist auch gut so. Bier passt nicht in sein Konzept.

A comida brasileira mais gostosa que eu comi em Munique, e a caipirinha estava divina. Esqueci o nome do garçom/Barmann mas ele era extremamente educado. Sensacional.

Eine Bar mit einem fantastischen bayerisch-brasilianischen Barkeeper. Sehr gute Speisen (probiert unbedingt sein Steak oder die Rindfleischstreifen) und sensationellen Cocktails (meiner Meinung nach einer der besten Caipirinhas oder Mojitos in der Stadt). Die Atmosphäre ist, wie man sich eine kleine Bar vorstellt. Einer meiner Favorits in town.

Bester Barkeeper, sehr authentischer Platz. Super platz vor allem auch um Gespräche in einer Gruppe führen zu können.

Der Laden ist eine one man Show und der Besitzer/Barmann/ Koch schmeißt ihn super. Auch wenn Wartezeiten bisschen länger sind entschädigen Essen, Ambiente und tolle Cocktails absolut. Absolute Empfehlung wenn man Zeit mitbringt und Lust auf eine Mischung zwischen sehr authentischen Brasilianer und münchner Original sucht.

Sehr leckeres Essen, super Caipirinhas mit unterschiedlichen Cachaças. Nicht ganz billig, aber sehr gut. Man sollte reservieren, da das Lokal recht klein ist.

Valdemar ist ein Original: Baiano in Lederhosn. Sehr leckere Cocktails und leckeres brasilianisches Essen. Der Service und die Öffnungszeiten sind “brasilianisch”. Leider etwas teuer.

First the good things: really nice caipirinha, like in Brazil. Good food like the aipim and coxinha. Now the bad things: the waiting time. Food took one hour to arrive, drink took even 1,5 hours to arrive due to the fact that the barman was also cooking in the kitchen. Could be a really nice Brazilian bar if they have a dedicated chef

Food and drinks are pretty decent, but the waiting time/service quality was absolutely unreal, I’ve never seen that before. In 2:30 hours I had only one drink. Everything was delayed and the waiter messed up all orders. As said, drinks and food were decent but absolutely not worth it going there!

Realmente o atendimento é péssimo! Mesmo com tantos comentários ruins do lugar, resolvemos ir pela comida. Porem nem chegamos a ir ate o restaurante pq ligamos para fazer uma reserva e quando dissemos que haveria uma criança junto, o Sr Valdemar simplesmente nos mandou esperar e nos deixou na linha por mais de 10 minutos. Apos todo esse tempo esperando e ouvindo o que conversavam, resolvemos desligar e ligar de novo. Ele não atendeu mais ! Mas foi otimo pq descobrimos o restaurante PORTUGAL! Com uma atendimento impecável e a comida maravilhosa !!!

Restaurane maravilhoso, Feijoada deliciosa! Unglaublich gutes brasilianisches Essen, die Feijoada bekommt man nicht mal in Brasilien besser. Der Caipirinha ist auch sehr gut, könnte aber mehr drin sein. Es ist teuer, aber es lohnt sich absolut!

Tl;dr: real Brazilian atmosphere, best caipirinhas I think it'd pretty tough for someone else to replicate my experience here, but alas I must review what I have lived. Legitimately felt like I was back in Brazil for a while here with Waldemar, Cardoso and the great people I met in loco. Ver o peso is a small, cozy bar where you'll find the best caipirinhas around and other amazing drinks (like the açaí with cachaça) and some other Brazilian stuff like pão de queijo, coxinha, cocada and feijoada. The caipirinhas are legit, if a bit pricy (still worth it). Everything seems made iwth love, and the cook (Cardoso) will be more than glad to chat about it with you. Portions are very generous, and I didn't feel like the prices were unfair. What makes the place amazing, though, is the atmosphere. Chatting with other Brazilian guests and with Waldemar and Cardoso, and generally having a great time! I'll be coming back many, many times!

Mein Singapur Sling war super! Waldemar, der Chef, steht selbst hinter der Bar. Unter der Woche ist er altuell auch Küchenchef. Das führt leider zu langen Wartezeiten, sowohl beim Essen, als auch bei der Zubereitung der Cocktails. Aber es lohnt sich ;-)
