We were here for dinner with 4 people on June 22nd, 2024. First of all, we thought nothing could go wrong in a schnitzel paradise, a big mistake, standard schnitzel from the deep fryer was bland with no taste, fried potatoes from the package were like rubber and not tasty, far too expensive for what we got on our plates. The toilet corridor before we set off towards the station for the concert was a complete disaster, dirty, no more towel paper, men's and women's toilets were the same. Conclusion: once and not again.

Nice gastronomy, friendly service

So my husband and I ordered a Christmas goose there for the first time this year and picked it up yesterday and ate most of it during our visit. Although the baked apple filling for our goose was probably forgotten in all the stress of the kitchen, it didn't affect the taste. Both the goose and all the side dishes such as red cabbage, potato dumplings and sauce as well as the dessert were absolutely star-level for us!!! It tasted so damn good that even the Christmas buffet including goose leg from 4 years ago in the restaurant of the 4* Hotel Kaiserhof didn't even come close. The year before last we also ordered and picked up a pre-cooked goose including side dishes from the competition, albeit through a well-known catering agency in Hanover. In those days when it was actually more affordable, this and the side dishes were not only significantly more expensive, but they also didn't taste as good. We are absolutely thrilled and will definitely come back! Can only be recommended! I'm glad I saw the advertisement for this restaurant and this year's Christmas dinner on Instagram.

The female waiter was very unfriendly

Slow and very inattentive service, it was not possible to get a second round of drinks. Food was bad for the price, if I call my shop a schnitzel paradise, then I won't throw the schnitzels in the deep fryer, and I also think the €2 extra charge for fried potatoes is outrageous.

Typical club restaurant with sporty charm. Super tasty schnitzels with crispy fries and excellent sauces, simply great food. The service is very attentive and always provides supplies. Highly Recommended!

This excellent restaurant is somewhat hidden and away from the main traffic routes. Both seasonal dishes such as goose and kale as well as those from the local restaurant The namesake schnitzels are of excellent quality. Markus Kulz is certainly Ricklingen's leading chef and restaurateur. Full marks!
