Ein Besuch, der sich gelohnt hat. Im Rahmen einer Live Musik Veranstaltung,war ich das erste Mal dort essen. Der Wirt ist überaus freundlich und sehr flink. Das Essen war sehr lecker und ich war rundum zufrieden mit dem Abend.

Immer wieder schön sich in Vater's Gaststätte zu sehn. Gute regionale Küche ein sehr aufmerksamer Chef der sich selbst und sein Team jederzeit bereit ist sich für seine Gäste immer wieder zu steigern. Sehr gutes Essen ist jetzt echt ein schönes Lokal geworden. Tobias macht das echt top. Wir waren schon öfter hier. Es schmeckt immer wieder gut. Ja gut. Kleine gemütliche Gaststätte mit sehr guter regionaler Gastronomie. Beliebt bei Einheimischen sowie auch Freunden und Bekannten, welche wir gern dorthin mitnehmen. Bedient wird man sehr freundlich und kompetent.

There were six of us there and we had made reservations in advance (I would recommend this to anyone who wants to be sure of a spot). The service was super, super friendly and simply fantastic. I've rarely been greeted so warmly and served so kindly. The food selection was home-style and honestly super delicious! 👍🏻 We had crispy dumplings, pike-perch fillet, roulades, turkey schnitzel, and pork schnitzel. Everything was absolutely delicious. The food was served very quickly, which speaks volumes about well-prepared and experienced cooking. Absolutely fantastic! The prices are super fair. If we're ever in the area again, we'd love to dine here again. PS: I wanted to take pictures of the food... but it looked really delicious and somehow everyone just pounced on it, and half-empty plates don't look so fancy and give the wrong impression. 🤗

For me, a visit to "Vaters" is an essential part of any visit to Pößneck. The food is a delight. Today, five of us had lunch. We ate two roulades, one gluten-free roulade, and two pike-perch. The roulades were served with Thuringian dumplings and red cabbage. It was divine. The dumplings tasted like my grandmother's. On the board next to the entrance door, you can read "Homemade Thuringian Dumplings," and that's exactly what they tasted like. The roulades were tender and seasoned just right, and then the sauce...so delicious. Thuringian dumplings should float, and the amount of sauce is just right. If you want more sauce, you can order it free of charge. My daughter has celiac disease and can therefore only eat gluten-free. She can certainly feast at this restaurant. The day before our reservation, she discussed with the owner what she would like to eat, and the kitchen prepared the requested gluten-free dish. We've also spontaneously stopped in for dinner, and there's always a selection for them. The ambiance is rustic, and the tables are covered with tablecloths. The owner's friendly manner makes us feel welcome, and the delicious food motivates us to keep coming back to "Vater's."

Very friendly, very clean and very comfortable. We felt really comfortable, the waiter was super friendly. The menu is varied but not overloaded. We didn't wait long for our food, it was well prepared and delicious too. I've finally had currant juice there again for decades. I haven't discovered it in any other restaurant yet. Thank you.

On Christmas Day we ordered our lunch from Father's and received it right on time. There was once roast venison with cream mushrooms (me) and delicious dumplings and another portion of goose breast with red cabbage and dumplings (Thomas). Everything tasted excellent. Unfortunately there is no photo of the food. The cuisine in this restaurant is really good, highly recommended. I had to find another supply location at short notice because our regular location suddenly refused service. Have been guests on Sundays or picked up food for over 40 years. Now suddenly not anymore. So we went to Father's Restaurant without further ado and immediately received a positive and friendly response. On Saturday I ordered the food at a very fair price, picked it up on time and was completely satisfied with my birthday meal! If father can't eat, the food has to come to father. ;-) Highly recommended!!! Thank you for the great service and the very tasty food. Will definitely be repeated! Kind and grateful greetings

A very good restaurant with German cuisine. At lunchtime there are various dishes with Thuringian dumplings. Good drinks selection, outdoor seating.

Was eating there. Price performance doesn't fit at all. 2 small thin frozen turkey schnitzels, 6 industrial croquettes. Schnitzel fried and not fried. A handful of canned mushrooms and two slices of cucumber. Cost a whopping €18.50 It's sad how people are being ripped off.

Schöne kleine Gaststätte mit schönem Ambiente. Wir hatten uns diese Lokalität schon im Vorfeld auf Grund der guten Bewertungen rausgesucht. Auf unserer Fahrt ins Urlaubsdomizil sind wir dann dort eingekehrt. Sehr freundlicher und aufmerkdamer Kellner ohne aufdringlich zu wirken. Das Essen war super schmackhaft und wir mussten nicht lange warten. Hier kann man sehr gut Essen und die anderen Bewertungen haben es uns bestätigt.

sehr urige Gaststätte mit wirklich toller thüringer Küche...also Klöße, Braten, Soße usw. Wir waren an einem Werktag mittags zu Essen dort und viele offensichtlich einheimische Gäste da, was unseres Erachtens dafür spricht, dass unser sehr guter Eindruck keine Eintagsfliege ist... Der Service war sehr gut, schnell und aufmerksam und diese eine Bedingung hat den ganzen Service allein gewuppt...wir kommen gern wieder, wenn wir wieder in Pößneck sind.
