Neben ausgezeichnetem Service haben Sie uns den Tag mit dem hervorragendem Essen und dem tollen Ambiente des Hauses zu einem wahren Erlebnis gemacht. Unsere Gäste waren durchweg begeistert und wir hätten keine bessere Wahl treffen können, als bei Ihnen unsere Feier auszurichten. Wir werden sicher zeitnah wieder Ihre Gäste sein!

Ein sehr schönes Hotel, tolles aufmerksames Personal, das Restaurant und die Speisen sehr schmackhaft. Nicht zu vergessen die super eingerichteten und sauberen Zimmer. Erwähnen muss man auch das gepflegte Anwesen. Sehr zu empfehlen.

Das Essen war der absolute Oberknaller! Wahnsinn! Preis-Leistung super angemessen, tolle Athmosphäre. Nachtisch hat alles übertroffen!

Tolles Hotel mit Stil und historischem Ambiente. Große Zimmer. Sehr gute Betten/Matratzen. Leider weder ein Fußweg noch Radweg an der Straße vorhanden. Als Startpunkt zum Wandern nicht perfekt. Aber dafür ist das Haus sehr gepflegt und man fühlt sich hier sehr wohl.

Wir waren dieses Jahr zum zweiten Mal in der Villa Altenburg zum Valentinstag und es war wieder wunderschön. Danke an das gesamte Team für das tolle Essen und das schöne Ambiente. Wir kommen auf alle Fälle wieder.

Wir haben im Sommer 2025 unsere Hochzeit in der Villa Altenburg gefeiert und es war ein absoluter Traum! Das Ambiente ist wunderschön, die Lage ist toll und man hat so viele Möglichkeiten, seinen Hochzeitstraum wahr werden zu lassen, egal wie groß oder klein er ist. Innen- wie Außenbereiche sind sehr stilvoll eingerichtet und super gepflegt. Wir haben uns im Vorfeld auch andere Locations angesehen, mit anderen Hochzeiten verglichen und können sagen, dass das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis wirklich gut ist und die Kommunikation konstant sehr ehrlich, klar und transparent abläuft. Unser ganz besonderer Dank gilt Fr. Martin. Von Beginn an hat sie uns mit höchster Professionalität und Sorgfalt bei der Planung unterstützt. Sie ist auf unsere Wünsche eingegangen, hat proaktiv hilfreiche Vorschläge parat gehabt, war immer für uns erreichbar und stand uns durchweg zur Seite. Am Hochzeitstag selbst lief Dank Fr. Martin & ihrem Team alles reibungslos. Sie hat den Überblick behalten und uns durch ihre ganze Organisation so viel Raum verschafft, dass wir den Tag wirklich genießen und uns auch auf unsere Gäste konzentrieren konnten. Alle Mitwirkenden seitens des Hotels waren sehr, sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Wir haben von allen Gästen nur Positives gehört. Ich hatte auch das Gefühl, dass es kein Problem gegeben hätte, was Fr. Martin nicht binnen kurzer Zeit hätte bewerkstelligen können und das hat mir persönlich für diesen besonderen Tag so viel Ruhe verschafft. Hervorheben möchten wir auch die Qualität des Essens und damit Hr. Martin danken. Optisch wie geschmacklich war es außergewöhnlich gut, wirklich hervorragend! Auch hier blieben keine Wünsche offen. Es wurde uns sehr einfach gemacht. Variationen und Menge wurden exzellent gewählt. Alle haben was gefunden, sind mehr als satt geworden und allen hat es sehr gut geschmeckt, egal was sie probiert haben. Beim Essen wird außerdem auf Nachhaltigkeit geachtet und nichts unnötig verschwendet. Das fand ich toll! Den Abend vor der Hochzeit hatten wir à la carte im Hotelrestaurant gegessen. Das war ebenfalls beeindruckend gut! Wir möchten uns von ganzem Herzen bei Fr. Martin, Hr. Martin und dem gesamten Team der Villa Altenburg für die wunderschöne und unvergessliche Hochzeit in dieser tollen Location bedanken! Es war alles perfekt!

Wunderschöne gepflegte Villa. Hatte ein großes, blitzsauberes Zimmer mit geschmackvoll Alt und Neu gemischtem Interieur. Modernes, neues Bad bildet einen gelungenen Kontrast. Ein paar Stiegen geht's hinauf, das muss man wissen. Dafür dann herrlicher Blick in den Park. Top Service auch beim guten Frühstücks Buffet. Empfehlung!

Wir waren erneut in der Villa Altenburg und wieder begeistert. Ich finde es ist eher ein kleines Schloß als eine Villa. Wir bekamen ein Zimmer upgrade, Danke dafür :-), es war perfekt gelegen (Blick in zwei Richtungen aus dem Fenster) und sehr geräumig, Bad modern, Betten bequem. Mir gefällt auch das große Parkgrundstück und der Teich, man kann sehr gut entspannen. Im Sommer kann man draußen auf Terrasse frühstücken, mit Blick ins Grüne - sehr schön. Abendessen hatten wir in der Villa Altenburg noch nicht, dazu wäre eine Menü Karte auf der website hilfreich, um einen Überblick zu bekommen was es an Gerichten gibt und deren Preise. Vielleicht kommt das ja noch. Ach ja, es gibt keinen Fahrstuhl - doch das war für uns kein Problem, im Gegenteil, es ist ein kostenloses Mini Fitness Programm denn Koffer nach oben zu tragen.

Man fällt direkt in die 20'ger und zwar Stil gerechnet und stimmig. Wir haben uns damit sehr wohl gefühlt. Auf jeden Fall eine Übernachtung wert. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder.

A wonderful house to feel at home in, with a very good kitchen. The room was very clean, but unfortunately, there was no refrigerator.

I was there for a wedding reception and we really enjoyed it.

We celebrated our sister's wedding there. It was beautiful! A truly amazing villa and lush garden, the service and food were wonderful! The rooms are also fantastic, with a fantastic view.

Everything was perfect, especially the breakfast - we've never had such a great selection before (the honeycomb was a big highlight). And the staff were all very friendly - keep it up.

Unfortunately, we can only give five stars – this venue deserves more. We celebrated our wedding here, and Villa Altenburg truly played a significant role in making it our dream wedding. From coffee to the midnight snack, the food left nothing to be desired and was wonderful. The venue itself and the atmosphere it exudes were simply perfect. Everything ran smoothly, and the decor was beautifully executed according to our wishes. The service was absolutely first-class, everyone was friendly, and we felt very well looked after. A huge thank you!

I would like to rate the Sunday lunch in the villa here. We had reserved a table for April 27, 2025 and found that we were well advised. There are enough parking spaces on the villa area so that nothing stands in the way of arriving by car. As a welcome, a Sunday punch was served and soup was served. Further drink requests were served promptly. Afterwards we went to the buffet with cold and warm specialties. There was nothing to complain about when it came to the quality of the food. Lunch runs from 11:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., so you have enough time to browse through what's on offer. In between we took the opportunity to take a walk around the villa. The house was built in 1928 for the Pößneck publisher Ludwig Vogel and a look into the history of the villa and publishing house made our visit all the more exciting. However, you have to use the Internet to do this, as you won't find the relevant information in-house. The bottom line is that we had an entertaining stay with excellent cuisine at a very good price-performance ratio. Cost: 30 euros per person plus drinks. Thank you for the experience!

Unfortunately, we cannot agree with the positive reviews from other guests. The 20's music playing around the clock, even during breakfast hours, is constantly an imposition. At Easter breakfast, not even a loving Easter greeting (chocolate egg or something similar) was put on the table for the hotel guests. There were also no decorations on the table. Hotel employees didn't wish "Happy Easter" either. The other guests who were expected to have lunch in the other room instead had chocolate bunnies and beautiful decorations on the tables. Unfortunately, the restaurant was also closed in the evening and there was no possibility for hotel guests to get a drink at the bar. The door was locked at 5:30 p.m. and you were on your own as hotel guests. That's a shame on Easter Sunday. Easter is in season everywhere and everything is closed in the hotel and unfortunately in the surrounding area. The ambience of the hotel is really nice but the whole manner is very disappointing.

Wow! You can't say more. We attended a wedding at the villa at the weekend. And what can I say, I haven't had such good service in a long time. How friendly can you actually be? The service staff basically read our every wish. Food was super tasty. Always happy! I definitely recommend you! 😊

We only ate here under the motto of enjoying Scandinavia and it was simply delicious.

Five stars say more than a thousand words! Warm welcome. There were in the room Nougat chocolates, bottle of sparkling wine and Fruit bowl! The four-course menu was a dream. The breakfast was varied. We'd love to come back!

A really nice and clean hotel, everyone tries to fulfill the guest's wishes quickly, even when there are festivities in the house. The cleaning staff is very thorough and deserves the utmost respect, as does the kitchen and service. The breakfast is terrific, various water, juices, fresh rolls and bread as well as cold cuts and various things, all very tasty and fresh. The food in the evening is in a class of its own, very tasteful, perfectly seasoned and you still ask whether everything is OK for the guest. Personally, I like to add more seasoning, but I didn't need it, which is a huge plus for me.

I gave my husband a voucher for a candlelight dinner. We were very satisfied overall. Price/performance ratio, ambience and service were great.

I read again and again in the operator's responses to negative reviews that they would have liked the inconvenience to be addressed personally... Well, that's difficult when you're not even asked "did you like it with us" when you leave? Basically, a stay in this exclusive atmosphere is very nice and the house is simply beautiful. However, with all this exclusivity I miss a few little things... A friendly address, maybe just a smile! The question of whether you should help with luggage, perhaps a second room key? Also wipe dust in places that the guest does not see at first glance. Fresh bread/rolls for breakfast. The musical accompaniment to breakfast was funny; relaxed 20s music interrupted by advertising 🙈 With a little more attention, this beautiful house would be guaranteed a completely good reputation! It was a nice stay but not quite value for money.

There's nothing to complain about, everything is really great, except for the neighbors in the room who complain that it's too loud when you come home at night, even though you can't help the creaking floorboards. If it bothers you, please look for a new hotel and don't bother people ;) Thank you (we also pay €120 a night!!!!!!)

Great hotel in a quiet location with a beautiful garden. The room was great, and the breakfast was also impressive. Parking spaces are available free of charge. The bar, the public balcony, the hut invite you to relax in a luxurious ambience.

What a great hotel! The charm of the 20s can be felt everywhere, it tastes very good at the breakfast buffet and in the evening and everyone is friendly and helpful. I would like to deduct half a star from a possible 5, which isn't possible - but still note that breakfast ends at 10 a.m. (very early for us on vacation...) and check-out is also at 10 a.m. - this is possible later for an additional charge, but here too a little later would be nicer at no extra charge...

Beautiful hotel, very good service!! Pößneck is located in a very beautiful surrounding area with lots of forest and other beautiful landscapes, even 4 castles can be reached quickly... Guess this is an exciting vacation destination.

We went for dinner and we couldn't have made a better choice. From the location to the building and grounds to the ambience, we can only recommend it. The service was more than pleasant, very friendly and attentive and not only was it safe to answer all questions regarding drinks and food, but recommendations were also made that we were happy to follow up on. I can't rate the room. Restaurant with very good cuisine. Unfortunately, the service doesn't keep up, and there's apparently a staff shortage here too.

We were invited for dinner and were pleasantly surprised. Walked in the door and immediately felt comfortable. Whether it's a guest room, terrace or garden, everything is very inviting. Food very nicely prepared and very tasty. Price performance is completely okay. Service friendly and attentive. Thank you for the pleasant evening.

I stayed at this beautiful hotel last night. The garden/park is beautifully landscaped, there is enough parking space and I received a friendly welcome and service. My room was large and well furnished, the bathroom was very modern. In the evening I ate soup of the day and beef cheek with vegetables and pea puree on the terrace, both tasted wonderful. The restaurant and breakfast room are tastefully decorated, as is the reading room on the 1st floor. The breakfast was more than sufficient for me and very tasty. I would happily recommend the hotel.

We celebrated our own wedding (including an outdoor wedding in the garden) at Villa Altenburg a few weeks ago and would do the same again and again. From the support and communication in advance to the day itself, we were more than satisfied. The food was incredibly great, good service, wonderful location and beautiful hotel rooms. Villa Altenburg is an absolute recommendation.

Very nice environment. Sat outside with a glass of wine. The occasion was Sunday brunch. Excellent combination from the starter soup to the dessert. The taste was great. So we would do it again and again. The service was also top notch! Was a very entertaining waiter and fit right in! Highly recommended!!!

This feudal property is hidden away on the outskirts of town. The extensive park with the hotel/restaurant is reminiscent of times at the end of the 19th century. Very well maintained. The furnishings inside adapt wonderfully to the conditions on the outside. The restaurant's service is courteous and discreet. The dishes are deliciously prepared. Overall a very cozy atmosphere.

We were there for Brazilian BBQ. These dishes were very tasty and the service was top notch. It was a wonderful evening.

First class, so far we have NEVER been disappointed... whether it was a wedding party in 2020, a birthday menu at home, breakfast with a friend, dinner with colleagues, Whitsun BBQ... we can report various experiences and also praise them!!! Highest quality of food, drinks, staff very helpful, friendly and very committed, which makes a big difference! The ambience is very, very nice, whether in winter, autumn, spring or summer, the villa and the beautifully designed garden/park always enchant us! For children there is a beautifully landscaped playground in the middle of the countryside! Very high level of professional expertise and the highest quality and in these times, very, very good planning and performance!!! The schedule, design of the various events and a simple visit to a restaurant becomes the most heartfelt experience! We definitely recommend Villa Altenburg with its hotel and restaurant with a clear conscience!!! Keep it up!!! It's nice to see that the great 1920s villa is being taken care of, whether on the outside of the facade or the roof, gutters, the terrace or the balcony - which can certainly be very time-consuming due to monument protection, including the garden/parks, Keep it up, your efforts and effort are having a full effect and lovers and connoisseurs appreciate the location and the house!!! Very nice old villa, converted into a hotel. Rooms were large and very clean. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very tasty and varied. Highly recommended, very happy to come again. There is currently renovation work on the facade, but it is not causing any further problems.

Very nice area only about 1 km from the town.. the hotel is in a beautiful old style, the beds are comfortable and I really recommend it to those who are passing through the island to stop by for a night's sleep.. The breakfast is just poor and could be better

We only visited the restaurant and were here for Easter brunch. Ambience was great. Not “crammed” with guests. You could enjoy your meal in peace. There was enough choice, but I found the price of €50 per person a bit too expensive. Especially without drinks (only a small aperitif was included). The food was nice and hot.

The best hotel far and wide. My daughter and I stayed there for a few days and can only recommend it. Absolutely harmonious atmosphere in every respect, very nice and friendly staff, great and very clean rooms, delicious breakfast. There's really nothing to complain about!

Nice advertising photos! Very bad and unpleasant journey, entrance area in great need of improvement!!! ,Room was nice, modern and clean. The dinner was very good, the ambience was great, the service was very good, the price was pretty HIGH. Breakfast was the complete opposite, nothing local, just industrial products (sausage, cheese, scrambled egg rolls) that was a shame!!! The probability that we will visit the hotel again is very low and the Pößneck location offers little in terms of tourism.

Thank you very much for a lovely Valentine's Day. It was a very nice, successful evening, with a 7-course menu. A big compliment to the kitchen and especially to the service at the table. Very nice atmosphere in the 1920s style. We will come back in any case.

Very friendly and accommodating, very good food

An eventful crime dinner on January 19, 2024! We wanted to treat ourselves to something special for our 44th wedding anniversary and we weren't disappointed. We were treated to exquisite dishes and very attentive waiters, and a hands-on thriller was the focus of the evening. It's just a shame that you couldn't read the names of the two actors anywhere. They definitely deserve it!

Just great. The old charm, the furnishings appropriate. Very nice staff. The bed was great, the bathroom was new. I will gladly come again.

Super schönes Hotel. Das ist etwas für Menschen, die das Besondere suchen. Die Zimmer sind wunderschön. Pössneck selbst ist jetzt nicht so sehenswert, den Service können wir leider nicht bewerten, weil das Restaurant zu hatte. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder!!!!

Sehr gute Küche zum Abendessen, das Frühstücksbuffet ist reichlich und mit allerlei Leckereien abseits vom allgegenwärtigen Käse / Aufschnitt / Konfitüre liebevoll ergänzt. Das Luxuszimmer war sehr geräumig mit zwei großen Balkons (einer davon gemeinsam mit anderen Zimmern). Einrichtung und Ausstattung stilvoll und hochwertig. Alles in allem ein elegantes Hotel, sehr tauglich für besondere Tage und gehobene Anlässe. Auf jeden Fall den Preis wert, wir kommen gern wieder.

Ein großes Lob und vielen Dank für den wunderschönen Silvesterabend. Superschnelle dekoriert, toll gekleidete Gäste, mit exzellenter Küche… ein toller Start ins neue Jahr. Ein kleiner Kritikpunkt, mein Rosé war leider zu warm. Mehrfache Versuche den Wein nochmal einzukühlen waren leider vergebens , mit Eiswürfeln konnte ich ihn auf eine halbwegs trinkbare Temperatur bringen. Aber das ist wirklich nur die Nadel im Heuhaufen.
