Ordered online via smartphone, and the food arrived quickly. The pizza was good and tasty, but the pasta was only lukewarm. Service was okay, but unfortunately a bit hectic at times.

I came here from Turkey and don't speak German, but the friendly waiter spoke English and even my mother tongue Turkish, a very friendly young man I must say.

The portions were generous and I enjoyed it well. The staff was polite and attentive. It was cozy, but a little noisy due to the open room concept and therefore the conversation was a little louder.

We spent a very pleasant evening at Vapiano. The noodles were fresh and tasty, but could have been a bit softer. The ambience was nice and calm, perfect for relaxing. What is special is the attentive and friendly service. When the weather is nice, the outdoor area invites you to linger, which we found very pleasant. My boyfriend and I would definitely like to come back because we felt completely at home!

Avoid. This is probably the rudest most unpleasant and unpolite restaurant in Dusseldorf. Today is March 15th 2025. When you enter, nobody will notice you, and nobody will say "hallo" or "hi". As a foreigner, you will sit at the table and wait for 30 minutes that somebody notice you, but they will ignore you completely. You will have to stand up and look for them. Personelll is rude, unpolite and unhelpful, Nobody speaks English, and when you ask for help, because you can only order online(?!?), nobody will help you. Never seen such behaviour from waiters and waitresses in my life. Had to get up and leave.

I used to like it better when you could watch the food being prepared. Apart from that, the price has increased quite a bit and unfortunately does not represent good value for money. Still, it tastes good there. However, I only go there once a year, if at all, instead of once a month. Cozy atmosphere, I like it.

We had a reservation for team dinner. They gave us a table that noone see each other. And they have reject to arrange more suitable place. The food came very late for some people. One of our friends fasting his pizza came the latest. The taste of pizza is 4 out of 10. I have also salad with chicken which was also 4 out of 10. Waitres and waitresses were so kind

Disappointing across the board! I really didn't have high expectations, but Vapiano still managed to surprise me negatively. The food was a disaster: loveless, the pasta was 50% cooked and the taste was an insult to anyone who has ever eaten real pasta. The ingredients seemed inferior, the portion was small, and the wait was absurdly long. It's just horrible, you just wanted something decent to eat since you've been fasting all day and then you're surprised with something like that, it's a shame!!!!

We were there yesterday for the second and possibly last time. On our first visit a few weeks ago, we found some well-laid tables from previous visitors. To tell yourself that it's probably due to the high number of visitors that it couldn't be cleared away "that quickly" would be a complete invention, because there were only a handful of people there at the same time, but there were enough staff. Since our stomachs were grumbling, we ordered and did so rather impersonally using the QR code at the table. So if you join this “order table” with several guests, you can pay online, but only for the entire table instead of each person just paying for their own consumption. When the appetizer and the drinks we ordered were served, the old leftovers from the previous guests remained on the table, including used napkins and cutlery. Really appetizing. The floor was also very dirty and the furniture was not only crumbled but clearly looked very used. When you finally pay the waiter as you leave the restaurant, you will quickly be introduced to the tipping system and of course the waiter will keep an eye on you. On our second visit today, as expected, the free seats were dirty, the floor as well as the furniture and the table. It was simply served on the dirty table, although the hope was that it would be cleaned before serving. Shortly afterwards, not only my partner but also I lost our appetite. My partner quickly canceled her order and because of my quick order, I returned the food I had already received untouched and canceled my other order (which was already ready to be served). I think it's my right to say what the waiter didn't think was okay. Then being asked about the tip again at the exit when paying was a real shocker. We are seriously considering whether we will come here again, although we both actually like Vapiano and I have enjoyed dining at Vapiano in Bielefeld & Münster for several years, but under MUCH better circumstances.

Food is good, but it takes some time for them to make, because the food is made upon your request while you're looking. So be aware of that when you're ordering. They give you some handy devices and it will beep when you're order is ready. They also have outdoor seating for the customers. However, I wouldn't rate the food as very good compared to the mid-high price. Update on 2025-02-26 We ordered Dinner Menu with Tomato Soup, Spaghetti Bolognese, and Tiramisu. We also ordered Penne Alfredo. The food was terrible! We got a Spaghetti Bolognese and I could barely find any meat in it. And the Spaghetti was almost like noodles (thin and overcooked). Then Penne Alfredo had only a couple of chicken pieces. And, after waiting 15+ minutes for Tiramisu, they said that they don’t have it anymore, and brought something else. (We went there around 9:30pm, so that’s understandable. But the quality of food is unacceptable).

I haven't been to Vapiano in the last 3-4 years. I happened to be there and fancied a Carbonara with Companele but was disappointed in the taste. It doesn't taste as good as it used to, the chef forgot about the garlic and the spice and the price has become quite expensive.

The two of us were at Vapiano in Golzheim on a Saturday For technical reasons, paying and ordering did not work as usual The waitress took the order with a smartphone. I had promised myself more.....the pizzas were far from meeting our expectations.... Update....in retrospect, I and my wife are very sure that the pizzas must have been pre-baked frozen pizzas.. ...ala Dr. Oetker. Vapiano will go bankrupt in the next 2-3 years anyway. We definitely won't come back and will remain loyal to Losteria, whose pizzas are worlds better.

I loved my visit to Vapiano! The atmosphere was pleasant and inviting. The staff was friendly, helpful and always attentive. I was particularly impressed by the quality of the food - the pasta was perfectly al dente, the ingredients were fresh, and the entire dish had great flavor. We visited the restaurant hoping for a pleasant experience but unfortunately we were very disappointed. Although the food was relatively good, the waiter's behavior was terrible - arrogant and completely unacceptable. We had to wait 30 minutes for our order to be taken. The menu was only accessible via an app, which unfortunately didn't work. We asked the waiter for a printed menu but he strictly refused, claiming he only spoke German and Turkish. This was particularly strange as we later saw that he communicated easily in English with other guests. The atmosphere was extremely unpleasant and the behavior was hostile. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.I found a hair in my carbonara pasta.

Yesterday we were at Vapiano for the first time in years and it will also be the last time. We feel like we have a hidden camera. You look for a place yourself, when asked where you can order, you were shown the picture of the QR code on the table. This only worked with one cell phone, we couldn't log in from the second one. Ordering is too complicated for me, you have to click on everything and search around first, not very convenient. When we finally got through... NOTHING happened, nothing for a very long time. I thought, ask if something didn't work, then I was shown the screen with all the orders. After about 40 minutes the salad arrived, drinks... none of them. Demand... coming soon... at some point 2 x 0.2 l Prosecco (EUR 10.50 each!!!) arrived in 4 glasses, with 2 cm of air left to 0.1. So I complained and got a new one. The pizza was brought with a kind of scissors, which fell apart into two parts when touched... The food was OK, but nothing special. CONCLUSION Service and price/performance don't go together here at all.

Unfortunately, they take good dishes off the menu that are not seasonal (Pesto Rosso) even though guests have asked for it several times. Dear Vapiano team, please bring it back!!

Arrived at 13:00. The waiteress said there was 20 minutes waiting time. Ordered at 13:15 and got our food at 14:30. We had to take away in the end, and of course the food was cold. I asked the server to take away and didn't transferred the request to the kitchen. We had to ask a second time. I saw the same comments on the waiting time made one year ago and the restaurant replying that they will improve the service. Nothing has changed. Go eat there if you have nothing planned in the afternoon. Personnal is unfriendly as possible.

It's actually very cozy here and the food is ok considering the price... but the service and waiting times are unacceptable. Unfortunately, this restaurant has changed for the worse. Everything is reminiscent of the good old days, but the current state is disappointing. The pesto pasta was completely overcooked, sticky, and the pesto tasted definitely industrial - just inedible. It's a shame about the money, I'm definitely not coming back and I can't recommend it either.

<Good place for a light meal> As the direct ordering system has changed to a QR code format, there are more menus to choose from and cooking is faster. The pizza only gets a grade of 4 (sufficient) from me because it tasted rather bland and the dough was flaky and almost undercooked. It was only sparingly occupied. The price, on the other hand, was high at around €17 per pizza (I had chosen additional ingredients). The service is mixed. You have to go to a website to view the menu, choose and order. But that worked more poorly than well. We tried several times and the page always didn't load. That was extremely annoying and deserves a grade of 6. We almost left, but asked the waitress if we could place the order with her. That was possible and we were served in a friendly manner (grade 2-). The atmosphere is a mixture of waiting room and canteen. Conclusion: Overpriced, not very tasty food, mediocre service, mediocre ambience. - You definitely won't see us there again.

The day before yesterday I picked up to go from this Vapiano. When I entered the restaurant I noticed a very nasty smell, it smelled like feces. I ordered Cabonara to go twice & two desserts. The pasta was packaged so poorly that when I opened the bag there was a portion of pasta in the bag and not in the to-go box. My pasta was prepared with lots of garlic as requested, but also with way too much pepper, which I didn't want. When I went to make the dessert, I found a piece of plastic in the dessert or in my mouth. When I wanted to call there because I find it outrageous to have paid 37 euros for a portion of pasta that flew through the bag, my pasta was made with too much pepper & my dessert had plastic in it, I realized that it was in the Internet number provided does not work. There will be a reason too. So far I've generally enjoyed being at Vapiano, but that was the last time I've generally been to a Vapiano. ------------------- UPDATE-------------- I received a call from the former director. Since the pandemic you can order from the table, but the waiting times have become much longer. The food is still delicious but, like everywhere else, it has become relatively expensive. The ambience inside is still a bit reminiscent of a canteen, but outside it is nicer. Quite nice and tasty for in between meals, but the wrong place to go for a “fancy meal”.

In the time we waited for our food, 7 other tables canceled their orders and left. Only after repeated requests did something finally move. I just felt sorry for the waiter.
