The food was a disappointment. The pizza base was hard. The bruschetta and salad were okay – not good, but okay.

The staff were incredibly friendly and the atmosphere was lovely. The only downside was the, in my opinion, really high prices for what you get. You get half-finished meals and then have to shell out €20 for them, but it still tasted good.

The pasta was bad, al dente (almost hard) and sticky, and the pizza had very few toppings.

Self-service means you have to order food and drinks directly and pick them up when they're ready. This gives it a bit of a cafeteria feel. The pinsa was very dry, and thankfully, they forgot the third meal. Unfortunately, you can't see what the woman behind the counter is entering into the payment card. You pay by card at the exit. The atmosphere is quite nice, and we were able to get a table even without a reservation.

Yesterday, my girlfriend and I went to your restaurant and ordered pasta. The pasta was overcooked and had a mushy consistency. We don't know the condition of the products or what the expiration dates were, but unfortunately, we both felt unwell afterward and suffered from food poisoning. Please pay closer attention to the quality and expiration dates of the products you offer in the future.

Good food, fast service and great environment.

I went to Vapiano again with my partner, and the food was, as always, excellent! We each had a main course: a delicious pizza and the pasta dish Aglio e Olio, which I ordered with extra feta cheese thanks to their great flexibility. It's really great that special requests are always possible and handled with a smile! We also shared the Piccola Salame to try it. It was wonderfully light and crispy. Unfortunately, I have to deduct one star this time: The restrooms were usually not up to standard during our visits. There was toilet paper lying around everywhere, which is obviously unpleasant in a restaurant. In conclusion: The food is first-class, and the option to customize dishes is fantastic. If the cleanliness of the restrooms is better next time, it will be a full five stars again!

Our visit to Vapiano near the hotel was unfortunately a mixed bag. The ambiance is truly stunning – modern, stylish, and very inviting. The staff was also exceptionally friendly, attentive, and courteous, which immediately impressed us. We found the prices to be perfectly reasonable and fair for Dresden. Unfortunately, the food itself didn't quite live up to our initial, very positive impressions: While everything looked delicious at first glance, the taste fell short of our expectations. Nevertheless, we thoroughly enjoyed our visit overall – not least because of the excellent service and pleasant atmosphere – for a quick stop.

It tasted great. Small portions, but extremely filling. It was amazing.

Pizza dough was dry, toppings bland. Chicken Alfredo was also poor quality and bland. Service does not exist and atmosphere was dull. When we were asked how the food was and I mentioned the pizza dough was very dry all I got was a sorry and a Eur 66 bill. Will not go here again and I will not recommend it too.

My companion and I had dinner at the restaurant. The atmosphere was cozy and elegant. However, the table we sat at wasn't very clean, even though the restaurant wasn't very full when we arrived. The food was fine, but unfortunately, the employee at the pasta counter didn't seem particularly friendly. I understand that working in the kitchen can be tiring, but a smile for the guests is part of basic service. Given the ambiance and the prices, we would have expected more attentive service instead of self-service.

The portion of pasta was unfortunately quite small. The food, as well as the iced tea and dessert, tasted delicious. Only the espresso wasn't good.

Our previous love for Vapiano has been ruined by this location. We've been to several locations in other cities, but this one was disappointing. The ordering system is terrible. If you want two different dishes, you have to queue twice, and the first one gets cold by the time it's your turn again. We're used to ordering at a terminal in other restaurants, which is a hundred times better. I used to love the tomato soup at Vapiano, but the employee at this location just threw a handful of croutons and cheese into it, without even wearing gloves. Normally, you get a small bowl with the extras to serve yourself. This place is very disappointing.

I love this place so much that I keep coming back. The food is great and the staff is super friendly. I'm really impressed. My sister says the chocolate cake is the best.

Vapiano is an italian restaurant famous for its pasta and pizza. The taste is very unique and the chefs cook the pasta in front of the customers so that they can decide what ingredients should be added. The place has calm ambience and is suitable for private gatherings. Gluten free and lactose free pasta is also served here. Very economical. This place is mostly self-service, i.e, you order and get the food from the kitchen counters. Lots of seating available.

We wanted to end our last evening in Dresden with a cozy pizza dinner and ended up at Vapiano on Prager Strasse. From the outside, it looked very appealing. Actually, the interior felt more like a cafeteria. The prices for the food are okay, but they seem to make up for it with the drinks, which are quite expensive. The food is filling, but nothing more. Above all, it's ready at different times, and you can't really eat together. The kids had already finished their pasta dishes by the time the pizza was ready. You have to order at different cash registers. And while you're ordering your drink at the second counter, the pizza is getting cold at your table. It's all self-service, which isn't really a problem. But that also makes it very impersonal and overall rather uncomfortable. The kids didn't like the food very much. We probably won't be coming back.

Always delicious and fresh, top food at a good price

Unfortunately, it's not what it used to be. The staff are very self-absorbed when ordering – it takes a while before you're even noticed. You almost feel like you're disturbing someone. Not a friendly word, not a smile, not a "please" or "thank you." The lasagna we ordered was cold. After complaining, we were given a strange look – no apology. The restrooms are also in poor condition and smell unpleasant. Only one of the women's restrooms is actually usable: • The lock on the left doesn't work. • The right restroom seat is loosely in place – my daughter almost slipped in. When we pointed this out, the only response we got was: "You can see it." No – my daughter just didn't see it. All in all, the value for money here is unfortunately not there. For a self-service restaurant, you pay about the same as you would at a competitor's restaurant, where you'll find friendly service, clean restrooms, and a pleasantly warm atmosphere.

I had the pasta with burrata, as recommended in the reviews. I'd go back. Fast, relaxed, and friendly.

Vapiano is the place for fresh, fast, and, above all, delicious food! Whether for lunch or dinner, you can enjoy excellent food here. A pleasant atmosphere and plenty of seating.

Upon entering, you're given a card, which is charged to the cook at the counter. Then, you choose where to sit with your tray and pay when you leave. The food is very tasty, with a reasonable portion for dinner, and it's not expensive. A plate of pasta and a soda are €15. I recommend it if you're not looking for luxury service and prefer good food.

The food tastes good. The ordering process is a bit unusual at first. Some of the tables are dirty. Lunch is very reasonably priced.

Another great meal at Vapiano. We were there at 11:00, but they don't open until 11:30. No problem. We walked around for an hour and then had a delicious, quick meal.

pretty decent place with great food that we’ve visited for two days in a row now. overall a great spot. the only downside was the girl that was standing at the host stand. she didn’t greet us or say hello, just handed us the card and pointed us to table and just overall seemed very bored and irritated (that happened during both of our visits). nonetheless, i would still recommend this restaurant to anyone who’s in this area and wants to feast some good Italian meals.

A self-service restaurant with somewhat uncomfortable seating (not a problem for young people), ordering at the counter also takes some getting used to. If a group wants different dishes, everyone has to line up separately, and whether the food is ready for pickup at the same time is a matter of luck. The red wine was very cold. So, okay for a quick bite, but not for me as a casual meal.

Hello, this restaurant is great for you, but what is not acceptable is that ash from the apartments above flies onto the table and onto the food and when you tell the boss about the problem, she just walks away.

Located on Prager Straße, the restaurant is very city-oriented. The food is okay, but the spaghetti carbonara is over-interpreted. A small warning was ignored by the incompetent manager. Hire more skilled workers.

We wanted to have a relaxing evening and decided to go out for dinner, but no one knew beforehand that we were in for a disappointment. The pasta wasn't cooked all the way through, the sauce was okay, but not worth the price and quantity.

It was a bit complicated to explain at first, but after asking a few times, I understood. The card you get at the entrance is basically enough to order all the dishes and drinks! There were only two of us and we didn't need another card... However, if you want to pay separately, it's better. When the chefs ask you to, you hold your card up to the scanner directly at the counter, where the chefs prepare the dishes as requested. However, in my opinion, the quality is more comparable to fast food, as everything is served very quickly.

Vapiano is a joke in principle, we should have paid 2€ more and eaten in a real pizzeria🤦🏼‍♂️but it tasted ok

Unfortunately, I have to say that I have 100% eaten better. My husband's meal was overcooked pasta with Bolognese and bruscheta with soggy bread.

When asked if there was panna cotta available at the bar, the answer was simply that it was sold out. The original quote: "...or do you still see any?" It's currently 6:45 p.m.

Expired oil is a no-go! It's already expired half a year ago. That speaks volumes! The cook was very unmotivated and didn't ask for any details about the food. You had to beg for everything! Some of the furnishings were dated and very worn. For these prices, you'd expect much more. I'm also wondering about further development? Similar to McDonald's with table service? Service looks different!

The lunchtime deal of "12.95" wasn't credited to me. I paid full price. The staff is very brief in their communication...

Fast, uncomplicated and delicious! Ideal for those who don't want to wait long. You will receive a chip card on which you can book everything. This means that you are employed at the cooking stations, where you can, for example, You can have fresh pasta prepared. There are different types of noodles, e.g. Even whole grains and special requests such as extra spicy or no onion are easily implemented. The food is prepared in no time and you can watch it live. Most of the time you are sitting at the table and can enjoy the food after only about 5 minutes. :) When the weather is nice you can sit outside in the sun. Always happy. :) Small negative point: The toilets could be cleaner in a restaurant like this. After all, Vapiano is not a small snack bar.

The staff seems pretty listless (like in the other branch, which suggests a mistake on the management level) A few years ago, dishes were even more loving, filling and creative. Especially after a long phase of negative media presence, you should put some emphasis on acquiring new customers... somehow it doesn't seem that way

Terrible experience – never again! ⭐☆☆☆☆ Today we were at Vapiano in the center of Dresden for the first time. As soon as we entered we didn't really feel welcome. Since it was our first visit, we didn't know exactly how the ordering system worked. The person at the entrance explained it to us, but not in a particularly friendly manner. After choosing a dish, we got in line. There were only two people in front of us, so we figured it would be our turn. But when our moment came, we were simply ignored! Instead of serving us, the employees preferred to take orders from guests who arrived later - who happened to be elegantly dressed in suits. When we inquired, we continued to be treated with disrespect. This condescending and disrespectful manner made us leave the restaurant immediately. An absolutely disappointing experience! We're definitely not coming back. 1 star is still too much!

The lady chef Mina is very friendly and professional. Germans usually appreciate their pasta just beyond the "Al dente" Point and that's too bad. Of course, with a majority of Germans the pasta is cooked to that point. If you want al dente, easier to order "dunkel fusilli". The coffees (Trieste's Illy) are nice.

Addendum from March 2025: Unfortunately, the quality is declining relative to the price. Due to poor service, the prices are too high. The taste is okay. New menu with increased prices and smaller portions. The quality of the antipasti has also suffered due to the presence of canned mushrooms. What a shame...

Totally disgusting toilets. So I can only speak for the women's toilet. Only one out of three toilet stalls can be closed. The toilets are dirty, as if you've only cleaned your glasses and nothing else for a year. I don't use the hand air thing, but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone else either.

We used to be here more often, but unfortunately it has really worn off. My all-time favorite Reef 'n Beef is nothing special anymore, where did the delicious sauce go? Unfortunately, the toilets were not clean either, even though the store had hardly any guests.

The basil pasta was yummy. The waiter at dessert/coffee bar was friendly. So was the cashier at the entrance, she professionally asked us how was everything for the meal. I appreciate that professionalism. The female chef at the salad bar was not welcoming and ignored our order request but luckily the other chef at the pasta bar helped us. Without that chef at the salad bar, I’d rate service 5.

Very manageable performance... The pizza wasn't really hot, bruschetta was forgotten to be prepared. The floor wasn't clean😷, the furniture has seen better days.... All in all, maybe it was due to the reluctance to work on Sunday or the lack of skilled workers that is propagated everywhere?

For example, the tables are not cleared for a long time even if the restaurant is empty and the self-service machines are out of order.

Service was very different, a very nice colleague at the coffee bar, a super unfriendly colleague without a name tag at the pasta/pizza station. A nice slow pasta cook. Overall, it is noticeable that despite there being little activity at lunchtime, there are longer waiting times. Is that because three managers and only two chefs is an unhappy relationship? The toilets were really dirty, especially the disabled toilet that hadn't seen a cleaning service for a long time. Overall, not a recommendation.

Nice Italian restaurant with a great ambience. The color concept is very suitable and you feel very comfortable, especially at the tables with the small lamps. Very comfortable! The gentleman at the entrance was super friendly and explained everything to us. There were no problems with the service and he takes care of his guests despite self-service. The food was prepared live and was therefore ready quickly. The pizzas with a great dough are particularly recommended...

Eating that well, all 4 pasta dishes were drowned in oil! The spaghetti was greasier than the chain on my moped. But that's a matter of taste. I was there the first and last time.

Made the mistake of coming here for a quick fresh pasta meal recently. I had the Pasta carbonara with Salmon. I have never had such badly prepared stale salmon. The dish was very oily without a hint of carbonara flavour and the salmon cubes rubbery and dry. For the price we paid I expected alot more. It is definitely not worth the time or the money.

Spontaneous visit... We ordered a pinsa and were disappointed as the dough was very hard. You could hardly cut it. There was also something missing in terms of taste. Maybe we'll try it again another time.

Nice location, but the food needed to be completely seasoned and the pasta was cooked way too hard. The garlic was unbearable. The only good thing was the drink (Vapiano Iced Tea Pomegranate) and pepper and salt at the table.

Arrived in Dresden in the evening and was hungry, so I thought about it. A mistake... The welcome from the lady at the checkout was very friendly, the system was explained, the food card was handed out, so far so good. And with that the glory came to an end. I stood in the pasta line, it was supposed to be spaghetti carbonara. You can't really do much wrong. The recipe and the ingredients are simple... grated spaghetti, egg yolk, bacon, parmesan or pecorino, in Germany then cream and plenty of fresh black pepper. Then came the appearance of the Vapiano chef. Actually I should have paid attention when he asked me with cheese or garlic????? What was served next defies description. Some completely overcooked spaghetti in a whitish, watery sauce made from onions mixed with water, condensed milk and something indefinably sweet. Then something was grated on top, which in this kitchen is probably thought to be Parmesan. After walking through half the restaurant to get a beer to go with the meal, we had a poorly tapped Krombacher without foam that was adapted to the spaghetti. You'll immediately work up an appetite... Tried the spaghetti at the table, completely inedible. The dish didn't even have anything in common with a carbonara. The beer was at stomach-friendly temperatures. I think if you want to drink something cold there you have to order a coffee. I can certainly understand why the Vapiano chain went bankrupt given such quality. The chef is advised that if you have no idea what you are doing, you should leave it alone or know someone who can explain it to you. He is welcome to write to me and I will be happy to let him in on the secrets of the tasty cuisine. If you justify this with individuality, you can't call it carbonara. This is a classic dish with a classic preparation. Otherwise you could bread a Wiener Schnitzel with licorice snails and say that's just how our chef does it. What was delivered here is banned from Italy for life. Oh, by the way, everything was fully charged even though the plate went back after a fork. So much for “customer friendliness and service” So if you're hungry in Dresden and you pass Vapiano, keep walking. Fast and far...
