The food was average not like in other countries, for us it was disappointing

Hey, there was this really sweet employee with this curly puff for a hairstyle, just wow. We were there around 7 p.m. yesterday but the inside was full. People had to wait outside for over an hour. And her? She made us wait for at least 1.5 hours but it was so worth it. She really looked after everyone in line and explained to us what was going on. She even offered us bread and water, such a gentlewoman. And when it got colder, she somehow managed to get us in so that no one was freezing outside. What completely blew my mind was that she spoke to people in at least four languages ​​like it was nothing! And when we finally got inside (thanks to her), she didn't just chill out, she helped organize things in the kitchen and tapped her stressed colleagues on the shoulder, so caring and with an overview. I don't usually write reviews for restaurants, but her? She deserves so much respect. Her smile, her charisma, is simply amazing. I really hope she gets paid well. To the woman: Thank you. And please keep up your energy. You're truly an inspiration.

We ate at this restaurant during my trip to Berlin. I was pleased with what we ate. Seafood pasta and sausage feta pizza were nice.

Worst service ever!!!! We had to wait 2 hours and they were pretty unfriendly. Very sad experience

Unfortunately, Vapiano thinks it has to switch to MacD styles. Be it just 2 more!!! If there are order screens, you have to wait forever to be able to order and that is often too complicated for most users. This can also scare guests away! Savings in the wrong place! Simply win deficient!

I saw a lot of visitors from abroad at the order terminals today. The operation of these is very difficult, especially if English is not the main language. I have to be very careful in German myself. This is really too complicated. There is also no staff to help.

Went there again after a long time and took advantage of the lunch offer. Since it was already 2:45 p.m., EVERY employee pointedly looked at the clock and even though I mentioned this lunch special at the personal ordering point from the beginning, I was asked "something else" twice when ordering. The pizza was good again and it's a shame that Vapiano never opened in Berlin-Tegel.

The payment cards were handed to us without any further explanation. Ordering food via the monitor is difficult and slow. In the past you had to queue at the individual stations, but you could watch the food being prepared, which I always found very nice. I found the menu to take some getting used to, are there any other changing specials???

I've known Vapiano for a good 10 years and while the taste and the price-performance ratio have been somewhat derailed in the meantime, our last visit to Vapiano at Alexanderplatz was really great 🤗 Reasonable waiting times, the food is sometimes served to you at your seat (😯) and the strong aroma in the dishes is convincing, which makes you dream of lasagna, pinsa and gnocchi afterwards. Just as good as in the early days! It is also particularly commendable that Vapiano seems to regularly (?) revise its menu. Many dishes were new and also quite innovative (sucuk noodles 😌). Our burrata salad with baked potatoes and gnocchi caprese were definitely top!

I was there on February 6th, 2025 with a large group (10 people) and without a reservation. Of course, not everyone had food at the same time, but that was up to us, as we sometimes ordered one after the other. What was on the table looked good to everyone. Everyone said it was delicious. We had everything from pizza to pinsa to pasta. My spaghetti bolognese was very tasty and the portion was very filling.

Nice food for everyone, including children. They create nice small pizza's for kids. At the entrance of the dining area you can find pencils snd coloring pages for kids to keep them busy while waiting. Staff was friendly and helpful and prices are ok. For the toilet you have to walk the stairs quite a bit, but there is an elevator around the corner.

We were diner here, both of the days. It was very good. For the order they have a big tablet. I appraised the option for vegans, because I need the lactose free. If you would like to pizza, you must have only the vegan option than is isn't possiblle to have on the pizza meat or ham. But was delicouse, if you in the Berlin definitly go to the Vapiano.

Disgusting food, I'm totally disappointed, as an Italian I'm totally disgusted... my spaghetti just feels like rubber, just disgusting and €4 for a Sprite I'd rather go to the kiosk to get a drink there.

We were in Berlin for a short time on a school trip and wanted to eat directly at Alexanderplatz. Unfortunately, we had an absolutely unpleasant experience. We all ordered pasta, which was far too hard and clearly not “Aldente”. In addition, the actual tomato “sauce” was a complete cream soup with broccoli💁🏻‍♀️. Unfortunately, the reception at the top was incredibly unfriendly. And a Hugo was denied because, according to Vapiano rules, it is only valid from the age of 18 (normally a Hugo is available from the age of 16 in Germany). The man at reception is very nice, unfortunately the rest is not.

Was at Vapiano again after about 8 years. The food was okay but I don't think it was worth the money. Preparation took about 25 minutes, which I think was a bit long (at least I remember it differently) because it wasn't that crowded.

Compared to other Vapianos, this was my worst experience so far. The Spaghetti Pomodoro looked like it had been slapped on, the spaghetti itself was overcooked and the sauce was tasteless. Really a shame. The atmosphere was otherwise pleasant. Still wouldn't come here to eat again.

Not possible to eat together, bad system with the food ordering.

After three visits to Vapiano I can only say: never again. The dishes were always so dirty that they ruined your appetite. Once I had to change cutlery four times in a row because everything was dirty. I asked the staff about it twice, but apparently no one was interested. The thought of eating or drinking here now disgusts me. Vapiano had enough chances to do better and completely failed. In my opinion, the health department should urgently take a look here. Absolutely disgusting!

Always nice in Austria and Deutschland

Visited Vapiano Berlin for the first time today. The reception was very friendly. Nice conversation. Ordering digitally from the machine was a bit difficult for us, but we mastered it. When the pager rang, we immediately picked up the food. First impression was quite good. Unfortunately it was only moderately warm. The fussili with Bolognese was my choice. The pasta was partly al dente and partly mushy. I had the impression that it wasn't fresh and somehow thrown together. Despite an intensive search, I couldn't find the Bolognese. A few small alibi crumbs were found. Seasoned like in the hospital. I can't recommend this to anyone. It's a shame about the time.

The service worse than McDonald's. Here you do everything yourself.

It used to be a good place but now you have to count in at least 45 minutes to place your order since they have introduced the worst machines in the world to order. Plus the complete lack of organization (no pagers available, no clear queues for the machines, ...). The quality of the food has decreased massively, the pasta was only half cooked. And this was not even a busy time.

If I could there wouldn't be a star at all. Food cold, not tasty. Overpriced. Dirty seats. Dirty toilets. No toilet paper. Just never again...

A restaurant with good pizza and pasta to visit in Berlin

Unfriendly service staff, my colleague's pasta only tasted like water, despite the overcrowded shop you could only use the tray to order yourself, staff whistled stupidly. If you want to order directly at the appropriate position, not recommended. Otherwise I like to eat at the chain just not there anymore.

Nothing to say about the environment: large room in a very central area, well-kept and welcoming. Food without infamy and without praise. Too bad for the lack of kindness of the bartender Sasha, who denied the evidence of a broken glass, telling me "to look better because it wasn't cracked". A lot of staff here are obviously overwhelmed by just a few guests. There are only two digital terminals for ordering, so queues form very quickly. The food is ok, the waiting time too. I also got full from my pasta plate. The price-performance ratio is ok. But: The music in the restaurant is too loud, the table shook terribly and the urinals were blocked. Here you could really make a bit of effort to ensure that everything works and is tidy. By the way, the employee Heiko on the ground floor was super nice and explained everything well to me as a newcomer to Vapiano.

The ordering system is a super fail! You wait like 30min on one of two terminals to order, than it is super complicated and takes another 15min for people on the terminal to order, on top the whole thing is almost broken. 🙈🙉

The food was tasty, but for that price there are some better alternatives. Waiting time on Saturday afternoon is not 20-30 minutes as said, rather it’s around 40 minutes (if you order pasta with zoodles)

We first stood at the bar to order the drinks. We were the only guests at the bar and the waiter behind the counter ignored us for minutes. Even after we asked if we could please order, he continued to work calmly with his back to us. At some point he reluctantly turned around and served us. Unfortunately, it was only afterwards that we realized that there were long queues of people in front of both ordering terminals. At least half an hour would have passed before we could have ordered. Then we drank our drinks and left. Never again!!!

Eternal waiting times in front of the ordering terminals, previous customers' food wasn't cleared away and the receptionist has no social skills whatsoever. And it's way too expensive for the few noodles. No wonder Vapiano is bankrupt :D

Unfortunately, apart from the gentleman at reception, I can't say anything positive. The Lord kindly and quickly booked the long line all by himself. In the dining area you can't speak of service, as the self-service concept of McDonald's and Co. is tried but even that doesn't work. You have to look for your order yourself at various stations, and by the time we finally received the drinks the food was already cold. Unfortunately the food wasn't really good either. The noodles stuck together in clumps, the sauce was barely seasoned and generally lacking, and the pinsa was sticky and unpleasant. The employees in the dining area were unfriendly to each other and to the customers and the cutlery and plates did not appear clean. In short, I can only advise you to avoid this location.

Nice reception, service staff in the catastrophic restaurant. After my companion ordered a Bolognese with penne, they replied very rudely that there was no penne. When asked why it was clearly available for selection on the menu, the employee replied that it was sold out, and in a very rude and annoyed tone, as if it was a stupid question, just like with the original order. I ordered a Pinsa. After a long wait, the food was marked as ready, I went to the pick-up point where there were two Pinsa's in front of me. A Pinsa Magherita and one that I couldn't quite decipher. I picked up the other one and made eye contact with the employee in charge who, after seeing which pizza I took, nodded and said “yes”. After I arrived at the table and had already cut off a piece, the waiter came to my table angry and put a pizza in front of me and claimed that I had taken the wrong pizza and that he had told me to take “the other one”. But as I explained, the other one was a Magherita and the pizza he had brought me wasn't at the counter at the time, so it couldn't be that I made a mistake. He also confirmed it was the right pizza when I grabbed it. Another companion had ordered a lasagne which took an extraterrestrial amount of time. When it was finally finished (after everyone had already had their plate empty for some time), the portion size left us even more shocked. A lasagna as small as I have ever seen at an exorbitant price. In addition, the lasagna was almost impossible to remove from the form in which it was baked. Pure rip-off and tourist trap. We'll never come back!

A complete failure. Dirty tables, 2 ordering terminals, guests queuing down the stairs, employees standing around or smoking. Nobody is service oriented. I had to beg to get a glass with the drinks. The drink bottles are totally dirty, so you can't wash your hands first. You are not perceived as a guest but as a burden. 8 p.m. and there are literally only gnocchi and zoodles available - no other pasta left. The manager carries his coffee cup for a walk. The owner is giving away massive sales here. There is no star for food and service here. Only the furnishings - although they haven't been cleaned for days.

Great for a family restaurant. Italian food, nice dishes. The concept is to receive a card in the entrance and to order in the restaurant on the second floor with it. At the end of the meal you pay downstairs with it. The food is nice, we had the pizza and the Alfredo prawns dish that was very good.

I actually love Vapiano but the store is poorly organized. We had to wait in line forever because there were only two ordering machines. It would be a relief to introduce QR codes like in other branches. There is also a card limit of €70 per card, which didn't shorten the waiting time because some people didn't check it... When we came in, the counter was completely full with a huge payment queue. When I wanted to make some space so that people coming after us didn't have to wait in the cold, I had to go back into the crowd to organize the cards. 🤦‍♀️ The organization in other branches is 100 times better! One of the chefs was really nice.

Worst restaurant I've ever been to. Paid €14.50 for a mini portion of salad with three pieces of chicken. The taste was so good, the crowd was just cheeky. There is no service there, you have to order at a terminal and pick it up yourself.

I went to a restaurant and told the employee that I needed a table for three people. He just gave me a card and asked if it was my first visit. I said yes. After my family joined me later, we all ordered with the same card because no one had explained to us that each person needed their own card. When I went to pay, an employee spoke to me as if I wanted to steal something. She said there must be another hidden menu and started questioning me in detail about what we had ordered - it felt like a police interrogation. She told me I ordered two bruschettas but only one was written down. I explained to her that bruschetta is two pieces per order, which she didn't understand until much later. The way I was spoken to was extremely rude. We are paying guests who don't want to eat in a reputable and respectful place to be treated like criminals, in front of other guests. My father was also treated badly. When he wanted to go outside to smoke, he was asked Where is your card? Do we have to carry the cards with us all the time even though we were only given one card?

Very suitable environment especially for families with children. In the central area, at the foot of the television tower. Good quality pasta and pizza. I would definitely go back.

Actually one of our favorite restaurants, but after the ordering point was closed (we were turned away) and there were endless lines at the ordering terminals (and the restaurant was only about 50% full), we went to the Italian restaurant around the corner. It's a shame, because according to the statement at reception, both ordering options should be possible! Loyal customers lost!

The machines are horrible and make things incredibly slow, this concept works at McDonald's but not when you have so much choice. On top of that definitely a reduction in quality compared to a few years ago.

We waited for ages after ordering two pasta dishes, even though it wasn't full. People who ordered after us received their food before us. Furthermore, both pasta dishes were cold!!!

Some unfriendly service eating is ok

Thanks to Vapiaona we had the chance to eat properly in Berlin and Paris. It is very delicious and the atmosphere is very good. If you go abroad, be sure to find a Vapiano

We tried two different pasta dishes, but unfortunately, both were disappointing.

Great atmosphere, friendly staff, and amazing food.

It was our first time at Vapiano and probably the last time. On the positive side, the location is absolutely great, the furnishings are very nice and comfortable, there is also a small children's play corner 👍 everything was very well maintained and clean. On the negative side, we had pasta with salmon and mushrooms, the pasta types were both very soft and probably cooked without salt. Everything tasted very neutral, the sauce was not present in either dish. Of course there was salt, pepper, etc. at the table, but there should be a basic seasoning. The kids' pasta was also very overcooked and didn't look tasty, and after grumbling when ordering, the tomato sauce was served separately. Unfortunately the sauce wasn't for our kids as it was very coarse, lots of large onion and tomato pieces. Conclusion, location top food flop.

Not the coziest place to sit down to eat….Were greeted by a friendly member of staff in the doorway, but after that you are left to your own devices to order and pick up the food. No table service. The food is not of the same standard as before. The pasta I ordered had a whole 3 small pieces of chicken… Pinsa is probably the new thing, and pizza is on a separate menu that you have to know about/ask for as it is not together with the rest of the main course menu.

Waited over an hour for the food. Then 2 out of 4 people didn't get the right food. Even after a discussion with the boss, we had to pay the full price. Not recommended!

Very weak picture, waiting over 50 minutes was never part of the concept. Due to orderpoint, the earlier queue in front of “cooking staff” is lost. They simply process orders without the pressure of the queue in front of their station.

Jeg har vært på andre Vapiano tidligere, men ble dessverre veldig skuffet over den på Alexanderplatz. Utrolig dårlig system: først kø for å komme inn, så stå i lang kø for å bestille mat, så lete etter ledig bord, så vente 45 minutter på maten, så kø for å betale. En kjapp middag tok 1,5 time! Pastaen smakte ikke godt. For lite kokt, for mye olje og pepper. Måtte kaste halvparten. De ansatte virka stressa og sure. Kommer ikke tilbake.

The self-service concept is impersonal. Nobody was there to ask questions and the order terminal didn't speak to me. I'll be out again straight away. There are better options in the area with reasonable service

The pasta I ate at the restaurant was very good, but the cook's attention was disastrous. I can't tolerate it when they don't try to talk to you without knowing the language and having empathy. The cook's face is the worst. He has no attitude towards working. They don't serve you at the table but ask you to use the app or use a QR. A young person can use it, but there is no age distinction. I had to repeat the dish because they don't even know how to read the order. What bad attention. I recommend it for the pasta, but eating something good with bad service, the truth is that I prefer fast food.

As a loyal customer, I would like to say that today I had Bolognese pasta, which was more than delicious. The team in the kitchen was very friendly and worked with a smile, which I greatly appreciated. I would also like to point out that I was sitting on the ground floor around 12 noon. At that time, there was a group of students placing orders. I noticed that the man at the cashier was very respectful, patient, and friendly with them. We ate pinsa again at Vapiano on Alexanderplatz. There is a gluten-free option, but this year the pickup was from the same counter as everything else. Big mistake. Two years ago we collected from a separate counter.

Very bad experience here. Extremely disappointed about the unprofessional and rude attitude of your front door cashier. This is not the level of service I expect from Vapiano, nor is it acceptable for a customer-facing role. What’s more concerning is that this is not the first time I’ve heard complaints about this individual’s behavior. It’s clear there’s an ongoing issue that needs immediate attention. I urge you to take appropriate action to ensure customers are treated with respect and courtesy moving forward.

We made the mistake of eating at this place this evening. And we ordered pasta, thinking pasta can't be bad. But it could happen, it was the scariest pasta I've ever eaten in my life. As I was leaving, I saw that the food was left uneaten on many tables. A plate of pasta sold for 14 euros, and it's not cheap at all! My wife also said that the men's toilet was extremely dirty and all the urinals were overflowing. It was a truly awful experience.

We have been to many vapianos, but I have never experienced anything like this. Absolutely unfriendly service, the food was inedible, Cesar salad consisted of lettuce and a few croutons, there wasn't even any bread. Children's pizza with green pesto, children really like to eat it 🙄, and there was also a huge pair of scissors. The noodles were rock hard. Then a cleaner came and wanted to take away my mom's plate with her dirty cleaning rag, even though she wasn't finished yet. When I told her to leave the plate, she said aahhh, aren't they ready yet, yes, that's a shame. Very nice gesture to get rid of customers. At the checkout they just said: "I'm sorry" That was the first and last time in this branch.

Unfortunately, I didn't listen to all the reviews because I'm usually very satisfied with Vapiano. However, the noodles at this location are truly awful. Sticky and not really through. Unfortunately, the chicken was also very limp, boiled rather than fried. I would definitely avoid this Vapiano location! Shame about the money! They don't seem to take the criticism to heart, since it's already been written several times and nothing seems to be changed. Homemade pasta at home is even better.

For us this time the experience was catastrophic. Since we were at Alexanderplatz today, we wanted to try Vapiano again. The gentleman at the front desk was very nice, but other than that I can't say much good about the restaurant. The service was very poor and we had to queue for quite a long time to order. People used to order pizza and pasta separately, but apparently now they order everything at one checkout. You no longer order directly from the chef and therefore can no longer watch how your food is prepared, which I think is a shame. I had the Pinsa (pizza is no longer available) and found it pretty tiny for the price. It was also very dry and didn't look appetizing at all. I couldn't eat the crust because it was too tough and dry. My husband ate pasta and was also disappointed. There was something wrong with the consistency, like the dish was cooked way too long. Cutlery is apparently no longer freely available. My Pinsa only came with a pair of pizza scissors and when I asked for cutlery, the employee told me several times that they only give a pair of scissors for the Pinsa. If I want to eat my pinsa with a knife and fork, then that's my business, right? In general, I can't say that I found the employees (apart from the gentleman at reception) to be particularly friendly or motivated. The toilets were also dirty. There was a roll of toilet paper in the toilet cubicle. In the next stall there was poop on the toilet seat. I'm not surprised that the restaurant was so empty at 8 p.m. It really looks like a restaurant on the verge of collapse. It's a shame because it used to be really great.

Unfortunately we were very disappointed with our visit to Vapiano yesterday. We've been to a few Vapianos, whether in Germany or abroad, but yesterday's was very negative. Our little son is allergic and is not allowed to eat wheat flour products. However, it was not possible to get the spelled noodles as a children's menu, which was possible with others. Furthermore, it seemed very "garbage" as many tables were not cleared and this could not be perceived as positive for a good ambience. We ourselves will probably not visit this restaurant on Alexanderplatz again.
