We went to the airport hotel for family brunch. The food was excellent and the service outstanding. We'd love to come back.

We were on the 12th floor and had a beautiful view. The hotel is clean and the staff is friendly and helpful.

The Christmas brunch on Christmas Day was absolutely delicious 😋 and the selection of dishes, fish, and meat was fantastic. Highly recommended!!!!

We had a wonderful stay in a comfort room. The hotel looks fantastic inside, and the room was very clean and spacious. It was wonderful to be able to watch the planes from the bed. The tram is easily accessible to Düsseldorf city center. Just be sure to bring cash for the tram; the debit card didn't work either time we went.

The hotel is very nice, the bar and restaurant are delicious, but the best thing is Hamit B., totally charming and accommodating, great service.

I absolutely loved my stay at Van der Valk Airporthotel Düsseldorf. From the moment we checked in, the customer service was excellent and very welcoming. The restaurant was exceptional, both in terms of menu and service. The room was very spacious, which I really appreciated. The only downside was that the bed was made up of two twin beds pushed together, but aside from that, the room was fantastic and featured a huge bathtub. The breakfast area and selection were probably the best layout I’ve ever seen, with an incredible variety of options to choose from. The restaurant menu overall was outstanding, and the service throughout the hotel was consistently great. The bar area was also a highlight and a great place to relax. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend this hotel.

Best place for company parties. I have been here for three times in a row.

The food was very good... but the rest... ugh, it left much to be desired. Even the entrance hints at what awaits inside. The fountain outside didn't run for a single minute during the three days I was there; it was probably broken, but also clearly hadn't been maintained. A disgrace to be welcomed like that... The revolving door was smeared, and there were cigarette butts and trash on the floor. (This was the case from the first day to the last; cleaning was a complete failure). The stairs to the seminar room at 9:06 a.m. were still covered in dirt and crumbs from the previous day. Words fail me. (It was finally cleaned after 3:30 p.m.). By the second day, the organizer's welcome monitor was incredibly dusty because the air was so dusty. The same was true in the seminar room. The wellness area: appalling. Moldy grout and walls, limescale buildup in the (non-functioning) showers, and dirty changing rooms... etc. And the toilets... what can I say? After using my warning light, I certainly didn't sit down ;-) When I complained, the staff didn't even bother to take notes and just uttered a tired "I'll pass it on"—no "sorry," "I'm sorry," or anything else. As I moved on, the receptionist stood rooted to the counter and waited two minutes for the next guest instead of entering my report into the system, calling someone, or informing anyone else. Absolutely nothing. I offered to show them a solution (since I sell cleaning equipment). But when I inquired the next day, they said everything was fine and the parent company wasn't interested. Yep, that's not how it looks. I'm curious to see what the kitchen would have looked like.

We were invited to a business event today, it was wonderful, the buffet had everything you could want, everything was beautifully presented, everything was very tasty, the service was friendly and attentive, we came from Holzwickede and were very happy to have been here, we will come again.

The design is modern and sophisticated, and the staff is exceptionally friendly and attentive. The breakfast is delicious and leaves nothing to be desired. My room on the 7th floor was beautiful – stylishly furnished, spotlessly clean, and with a fantastic view. I wasn't familiar with Van der Valk before, but this hotel completely won me over. I would love to come back. Everything here is perfect – and honestly, I wonder why this hotel doesn't already have five stars 🤔😁

Quite many parking spaces on the first floor. The beds are situated in a way that you can have a view when curtains are opened but having the bed not against the wall on any side is a bit strange from an Asian perspective, honestly! The breakfast was great, not too fancy but did come with enough selections. Bathtub was huge while the shower was a bit moderate in terms of water coming out.

Very well-equipped rooms, attentive service, and good food. The large DDIM conference with over 400 participants was, as always, superbly organized. Points were deducted for the frequently long waiting times at check-out and the fact that the bathroom still uses the environmentally questionable small plastic bottles of shampoo etc., instead of a refillable dispenser.

Excellent. Great value for money. Fast and efficient service. Compared to the last time we were here, the food in the restaurant was a bit less than stellar. But we'd definitely go back.

We had a pleasant stay in this modern, spacious, and comfortable hotel. The room was clean and the breakfast was excellent. Excellent value for money!

The price-performance ratio is terrible – far too expensive. The spa area is very small, as is the fitness room, and there's a lot of noise that no one does anything about because there's no staff on site. The room is directly below the fitness room, which is open 24 hours a day; a brilliant idea, but sleeping there is impossible. The mattress is extremely soft and worn out. Never again.

The young man (Phillip, I believe, was his name), who had a very elegant appearance and took care of the restaurant area, was extremely competent and very well-trained in customer service.

I arrived early in the morning around 8:00 a.m., and she immediately understood my situation and did everything she could to get me a room as quickly as possible. Her kindness, professionalism, and genuine commitment to guest satisfaction truly made all the difference. Of all the reception staff, Anna clearly stood out with her attentiveness and warmth. She managed to transform a somewhat difficult arrival into a pleasant experience. Unfortunately, I experienced a lack of friendliness from two of her colleagues, particularly the lady with glasses – her tone of voice was unnecessarily sharp. Thanks to Anna, however, my stay got off to the best possible start. A big thank you to her for her excellent service and her kindness – she is a real asset to the Valk Hotel.

Very nice hotel. Interesting layout of the rooms (love the window seat!). Shared spaces on ground floor very well designed and maintained. Restaurant is good (drink and food options are good), separate bar with outside patio is very nice too. Highly recommending. Breakfast - very good selection (as usually at German hotels), coffee could be a bit better :)

We stayed at the hotel for a concert at the PSD Dome (a ten-minute walk from the hotel). From the outside, the hotel doesn't look particularly impressive. We were all the more pleasantly surprised inside: + very friendly staff, at check-in, in the restaurant, and in the breakfast room + free parking + very spacious and clean room. Bathroom with shower and bathtub. The room is quiet: you can't hear anything from the neighboring rooms, and even the planes approaching Düsseldorf Airport are practically inaudible. + two bottles of water in the minibar, plus coffee and tea options + breakfast was fantastic: it left nothing to be desired. The selection was incredible, and everything was fresh and of very high quality. + check-out until 12 noon, which I found very convenient. We will definitely stay here again at the next opportunity and felt very comfortable. With the concert, it was a 24-hour mini-vacation ;-)

Rarely do you experience a hotel that combines professionalism, style, and warmth as effortlessly as the Van der Valk Hotel at Düsseldorf Airport. From the moment you arrive, you sense that everything is just right here, from the friendly welcome and the stylish ambience to the spacious rooms where you immediately feel at home. But the real highlight – and I say this with complete conviction – is the breakfast. I've stayed in many hotels, but I've never had a breakfast experience like this. It's no ordinary buffet, but a lovingly curated feast for the senses: freshly baked bread, golden croissants, a variety of hot and cold dishes, freshly squeezed juices, aromatic coffee, live cooking stations, and even little culinary surprises that you'd normally expect in top-class restaurants. You can tell that passion and care go into every detail here. The staff is attentive without being intrusive – always with a smile that seems genuine. I had a small problem with the TV. A quick call to reception, and less than five minutes later, a friendly technician was at the door. The problem was immediately addressed, I was immediately offered another room, and the new keycard was even personally delivered. Service of the highest standard – fast, attentive, and warm. In short: This hotel understands the meaning of true hospitality. Anyone looking to stay near Düsseldorf Airport will find not just a room here, but a little bit of a home away from home. This hotel is my first choice when I'm in the area, and I'm always happy to return.

I spent one night there for business reasons. Compared to the hotels I've stayed in in Frankfurt, the room was huge and the bathroom was spacious. Spotlessly clean. Very friendly staff and delicious food. A hearty breakfast with the option of having various egg dishes prepared.

Disappointed by the dinner. Menu is strange. Chicken burger a complete disaster with a cold rattatoi egg plant and clearly microwaved dry chicken breast. ... barely edible. The desert menu has No chocolate anything on offer and the pannacotta desert was a gelatinous ball . Simply an offense to the senses. The saving grace was yhe staff tbey were excellent. And the cheesecake was fairly good. I do not recommend eating dinner here.

We stayed here in room 1402 from September 26th to September 28th, 2025. All in all, a great hotel, amazing breakfast, amazing view from the room on the 14th floor. The check-in clerk wasn't as friendly as expected, but everyone has a bad day. The housekeeper, however, doesn't seem to take her job seriously: the peephole had been taped up with toilet paper by a guest beforehand (there was no cover for the peephole. Broken off?), the two plastic water bottles in the minibar were covered in brown tape (replaced upon request), and the beautiful large windows were completely smeared with grease on the inside. All of them! You could see every single handprint. The outside was also very dirty. But you certainly can't expect the room windows to be constantly cleaned on the outside. On the inside, though, they were. The windows were disgusting. The loungers in the wellness area (six) are a bit too few and are occupied by towels or bathrobes. It would be nice if they checked regularly to make sure they weren't occupied and created more loungers. And advance notice that this is a nudist wellness area would also be nice. In any case, we will book this hotel again on our next visit to Düsseldorf and hope that the housekeeper's job has improved. If not, then this will be the last time we book this hotel. Because for over €150 a night, you can expect impeccably clean rooms.

I attended a company party with a buffet. The food was very good and varied, as were the drinks. I've rarely eaten and drunk so well. (I can't comment on the rooms as I didn't stay overnight.)

We were there for a departmental meeting. A beautiful seminar room with an adjoining bar-lounge area, superbly equipped. The lunch buffet in the restaurant was also absolutely fantastic. Overall, the interior is upscale and tasteful. We could go there often! A good parking lot and friendly service round out the whole picture.

It was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. First of all, security was non-existent! There was a theft right in front of the reception; my laptop, smartwatch and headphones were stolen. The hotel management and staff were completely indifferent to the incident; they offered no support or assistance whatsoever. Such an incident is horrific enough, but at the very least, the staff should not have been so insensitive. The overall condition of the hotel was also terrible. The rooms were far from hygienic, the sheets were stained and smelly. The bathroom cleaning was a complete disaster. As soon as you enter the hotel, you are met with a neglected and dirty environment. This is an establishment that completely fails in terms of security and cleanliness, and clearly does not prioritise customer satisfaction. Do not risk your holiday or stay here; I absolutely do not recommend it.

A friend of mine experienced a theft incident in this hotel, but nobody cared. Three thieves even managed to get as far as the reception. The hotel is extremely unsafe — all of your belongings could be stolen. We have police reports and camera recordings as evidence. I absolutely do not recommend this place.

My girlfriend's bag was stolen in the hotel lobby. We immediately reported it to the front desk, but the staff did absolutely nothing to help. They didn't check the security cameras or offer any assistance. My girlfriend was completely helpless. A hotel that shows no regard for the safety of its guests is unacceptable. Avoid this hotel! My friend was robbed here. At the reception there are always 3 guys hanging around, waiting for foreigners to steal their bags. The hotel staff didn’t help at all, which is unacceptable. I’ve never experienced something like this. Better choose a safe and friendly hotel definitely not this one

The hotel is worth the money. The room and the bed are more than excellent. The breakfast leaves nothing to be desired. A wide variety of drinks and snacks are available at night. The service is very friendly and professional.

My friend stayed at this hotel in 28.09.2025 and unfortunately had a terrible experience. Our bag was stolen from the hotel reception, and the hotel staff did not provide adequate support or security. We reported the incident to the local police (Diebstahlsanzeige) and can provide proof if needed. We do not feel this hotel is safe, and I would not recommend it to anyone. Guests deserve better security and professional assistance, which was sadly lacking here.

We've stayed at this hotel several times...perfect for an overnight stay, parking, and airport shuttle. The staff was extremely friendly, the rooms were clean, and the service was perfect. We'd go back anytime.

I stayed at the Van der Valk Airport Hotel Düsseldorf for a conference. The service and excellent food were outstanding, as were the room amenities and cleanliness. A 5-star rating is more than appropriate for this hotel.

Booked an eat, sleep, and fly package here before leaving for Greece. Everything was great, very clean and spacious rooms. The check-in staff could have been a bit friendlier. When we returned in the evening, there was someone else at reception, which was great 👍🏻 Location: unfortunately a bit out of the way. But you can get to the airport quickly. Taxi was also right on time.

I'm a regular at BeauBar and always feel very comfortable there. The atmosphere is stylish and pleasantly quiet, making it a great place to relax or chat. The staff is always friendly and attentive, and the drinks are professionally mixed. I particularly like the variety of spaces: small tables, high bar tables, a cozy corner with a fireplace, and a separate room with a sofa and armchairs. This means everyone can find the perfect spot—whether it's for a relaxing evening for two or a convivial evening with friends.

It was a complete mess, even though I booked a suite. The rooms were very dirty and old, with mold on the walls. The carpet was stained on the ceiling, and there were cobwebs and hairs in the bed. This hotel doesn't even deserve one star or needs a major renovation. Warning to everyone: The lobby looks nicer than the entire hotel and the rooms.

I'm very disappointed now. This is about the seventh time we've stayed in the highest category, in the King Size Suite. For once, there were no problems with the whirlpool. However, the lighting and air conditioning weren't working. In the bathroom, a wall light and the shower light weren't working. In the small bathroom, the light wouldn't turn off. Furthermore, you should expect two glasses in this room category. The refrigerator wasn't cool enough, even on the highest setting. The room creaks constantly, making it impossible to get a good night's sleep. That's it for us.

We booked a room with a panoramic view for two nights. The room is beautiful, but unfortunately, they're renovating the restaurant on the ground floor. That's already causing a lot of noise during the day, but the fact that the noise starts at 7:30 is hard to stomach. If this had been mentioned on the website, we certainly wouldn't have been there. That's not exactly transparent in the information provided...

We stayed here for one night over the weekend. The rooms were very nice and clean. We had dinner in the restaurant. It was definitely good value for money. The bar area is cozy, and the cocktails were great. We didn't miss anything at breakfast either.

My standard hotel for years when I visit DüDo every month!

I stayed here for 6 nights for the IBA trade show in May 2025. This hotel is great. Everything is large, the lobby, the restaurant and especially the very spacious and super well-equipped rooms with shower and bathtub. The large bay windows offer an exceptional view, especially on the upper floors. The only small downside is not enough staff for service at the bar during the evening aperitif time, long waits.

Van der Valk is always top. Beautiful rooms, nice beds and a wonderful shower. And then of course the breakfast, which is one of the best. Lots of choice and fresh things. The location is great if you want to fly from Düsseldorf. You can leave your car here and a shuttle to the airport is free (not the return trip, taxi is about €15-€20).

Today we went to Easter brunch again for a long time. What can I say? Simply brilliant. Great service, great and tasty dishes, huge selection. We were totally thrilled. A lot was also done for the children so that the little ones could also enjoy the day.

Wonderful stay with beautiful views, but room for improvement in service and information provision We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The view from our hotel room was truly beautiful and really added something extra to our stay. The breakfast buffet was also well prepared and offered sufficient choice. However, there are also a number of points that can be improved. After a smooth self-check-in, we missed practical information, such as how parking worked and where we could get the corresponding parking card. Because of this we still had to visit reception. Essential information is also missing online, for example about the requirement to have an environmental sticker for the car, the option to buy a public transport ticket on the tram itself and the current timetable of tram line 701 - the information that was there appeared to be outdated. There was a QR code in the room to indicate that we wanted to use the Green Choice (no interim cleaning). We did this but our room was still cleaned the next day and the towels changed even though they were not on the floor. It was striking that the air conditioning was at 25 degrees when we returned - perhaps the cleaning lady was cold. What we found unfortunate is that the staff did not greet us once, either upon arrival or at breakfast. During breakfast it was also noticeable that there were many staff present, but that the tables were not cleared because people seemed to mainly be talking to each other. There was also a lack of friendly greetings to hotel guests in the morning. In short: the stay itself was pleasant, partly thanks to the view and breakfast, but with some extra attention to hospitality and clear information provision, this hotel would be a lot better.

But then the last morning came… and with it the manager. I sat at the breakfast table, full of plates in front of me, relaxed and hungry - Thought breakfast was included – wanted to clarify after dinner if necessary. I was also deep in an important phone call – for work, not for fun. But then she came with her annoying Dutch accent, He stood right in front of me and didn't back down an inch. “Now go to the room and get some money, okay?” – with a bad breath that almost completely robbed me of my appetite. She indirectly asked me to leave, didn't let me eat - because of 21 euros, Although I had probably left 500-600 euros in the hotel in the previous days. And honestly: Anyone who acts so controlling and stubborn at 7 in the morning apparently gets laid at home just as rarely as she smiles - not at all 🥲

Recommended if you're around Düsseldorf or the airport. We stayed just one night after a concert at the ISS Dome, which was super convenient—only a 10-minute walk. The room was spacious and had everything you might need even for a longer stay—except slippers! The bathtub was great, and the self check-in desk was quick and easy to use. There's a big parking lot, and we were told it's free for the first 24 hours (not sure how it works for longer stays). Thank you to the hotel staff who helped us with printing concert tickets out on the last minute. Only comment on cleaning staff who knocked on the door at 10 am and asked for cleaning, please don’t disturb. Overall, definitely recommended.

We only stayed one night and left our car parked for 14 days. It's next to the ice hockey rink, so the location is good for that, but it's very remote for everything else.

We had a great stay at the Airport Hotel Van der Valk in Düsseldorf! We were particularly impressed by our beautiful suite - stylishly furnished, very spacious and with an impressive view thanks to the large, floor-to-ceiling windows. A real highlight was the free-standing whirlpool bathtub – pure relaxation! We were also impressed by the extra large shower. You immediately feel at home and enjoy comfort at the highest level. The service was first class: friendly, attentive and professional. The location near the airport is super practical, but it is still pleasantly quiet. A hotel that leaves nothing to be desired – we would love to come back!
