Went there for the first time today. Reserved online, worked perfectly, but probably wouldn't have been necessary on a Sunday at 5:00 PM. All I can say is!! They delivered!! Disappointing and not recommended. There were three of us and we were misled by the 4.8 rating. Unfortunately, the salads arrived with unappetizing brown cut edges. The meat ordered medium-rare was cooked unevenly, and parts of the fillet were completely raw. The rump steak was completely laced with tendon, but that's not the kitchen's fault. The service was pleasant and polite.

After a quick glance at the menu, which offers a select selection of steaks, fish dishes, and side dishes, I opted for an Argentinian ribeye, medium rare, accompanied by homemade truffle fries and grilled vegetables. As soon as the food was served, a tempting aroma filled my nose. The first cut into the meat revealed perfect doneness – crispy caramelized on the outside, tender pink and incredibly juicy on the inside. Every bite was a feast for the senses: buttery soft, full of flavor, and with that subtle smoky note that only a perfectly hot grill can conjure. The truffle fries were golden yellow and crispy, with just the right amount of truffle flavor – not overpowering, but harmonious. The grilled vegetables tasted fresh and slightly smoky, perfect as a companion to the hearty steak. The waiter recommended an Argentinian Malbec to accompany it – full-bodied, velvety, and perfect to complement the flavors of the meat. To finish off, I treated myself to dessert: a homemade chocolate cake with a liquid center, served with vanilla ice cream. Warm and cold, sweet and tart – a perfect ending. What particularly impressed me was the consistent attention to detail: from the elegantly set table to the perfectly tempered glass of red wine to the polite inquiry after each course to ensure we were satisfied. This restaurant is definitely worth a visit. The two of us spent a very pleasant evening there, with excellent food and excellent service. Even after the restaurant officially closed, we weren't simply asked to hurry up, but were asked for dessert or something similar. The food was definitely impressive, both visually and taste-wise. I was actually most impressed by the beetroot and apple dip. The steak was also very good, of course, but the dip was definitely a good start to the evening.

I had one comment about the Caesar salad: I felt the anchovies in the dressing were missing to make it perfect. The staff took this comment positively as constructive criticism. Great wines from Argentina at fair prices. One small drawback detracted from the otherwise very pleasant ambiance: unfortunately, there is currently no air conditioning inside. On the hot day of our visit, it was a bit too cozy and warm in the restaurant. This will be our new regular steakhouse for cooler days...😎

We ate there last night, and it was the best steakhouse experience I've ever had in my 24 years. The appetizers were a perfect start to the evening, the homemade lemonades were also very good and quenched our thirst in the hot weather. Unfortunately, I can't comment on the alcoholic beverages, as we didn't drink any. Now for the steaks: the arg. fillet was fantastic, the US flank steak was also very tasty, and the arg. rump steak was a nice finishing touch to the steak platter for two people. The daily side dishes for the platter included an interesting variation of potato wedges and a mixed salad, which complemented the main course very well. Furthermore, the platter was beautifully presented and added a sweet touch to the meal. The service was more than helpful, courteous, and friendly. We felt very comfortable and will be back soon!

We reserved a table here relatively spontaneously to celebrate my son's birthday. We were attracted by the many positive reviews. Getting there was a bit difficult due to the parking situation. You can basically only park on the large Friedrichplatz and then have to walk a few meters and cross the busy street. Nothing bad, but you should know. The welcome was very warm and the service was also very attentive, but only until we got the food. Afterwards we tried in vain to order more drinks for a long time and payment was only possible after we made ourselves known loudly. There is definitely still potential for the young talent to grow. The food was excellent, the meat was cooked to perfection and of top quality. However, I also expect that from the prices quoted here. Overall a positive experience and we will definitely come back again.

When we arrived for dinner, we received a very warm welcome; our table was decorated with hearts, beautiful. Then came the next highlight: the food, simply amazing, so deliciously seasoned. My husband had a T-bone steak; he was blown away. All the other side dishes were also super delicious. Then there was dessert, a New York cheesecake to write down, or a chocolate cake with a melted center, amazing. I was at Vaca Negra with my husband on February 12th for a pre-Valentine's Day treat, and we can't complain in the slightest. If I could give it 10 stars, I would. Our server was very attentive and patient when I couldn't decide for what felt like ages. He continually assessed our tastes and made excellent recommendations. The food couldn't have been better, and the atmosphere was extremely pleasant. This definitely won't be our last time here!

Our First Impression After being greeted and shown to a table in a truly beautiful setting, we were introduced by a request for a bottle of water and the recommendation of the day. The drinks we ordered were really good and arrived quickly, after a new keg of beer was added (they even apologized for the delay). Despite the extensive menu, which includes which part of the beef actually is and the explanations from "raw" to "well done" in terms of preparation, the incredibly friendly waitress answered all our questions satisfactorily. After ordering, we were greeted with a welcome from the kitchen with a fitting explanation and warm, fresh bread. The food was truly deliciously prepared and beautifully presented, with additional explanations and descriptions of the side dishes. The side dishes we chose were delicious. Occasional, not too frequent, questions about whether we needed anything else rounded off the evening and our satisfaction with the service. Prices are, of course, a bit high for a restaurant of this kind, but are definitely justified by the exquisite food. We'd love to come back. :)

The first impression after you enter the restaurant is that you are fascinated by the ambience, which is relatively good for Moers. The staff was friendly and you were warmly welcomed and accompanied to your table. After the menu was brought you were left sitting for a long time and then it was said that many steaks were currently sold out and so you had to turn to alternatives. The starter, the carpaccio, was not perfectly seasoned. It was definitely missing more salt, pepper and olive oil and fresh lemon juice would have also been good for the carpaccio. After all, it also had its price. The Spanish prawns didn't come to the table sizzling hot like you would expect from the tapas bar and the garlic was also saved. The dry age steak as the main course, which was ordered as an alternative because the desired steak was not in stock, unfortunately had a lot of fat, the taste was sufficient, the temperature was unfortunately not that hot, but the cooking point was hit, which many chefs do not done well. For dessert we decided on the mixed version. When we asked the nice gentleman who served us whether the cheesecake was also on the plate, we were told in the affirmative when we were served we were told that unfortunately the kitchen didn't do that today and instead we had cream Choosing brûlée was again disappointing but we accepted it. Conclusion: If you have traveled a lot internationally when it comes to steak and, like me, also come from the catering industry, you shouldn't expect too much from the restaurant. If you want to try out the topic of steak, it will certainly be an enrichment and a good experience. For my standards, the price/performance ratio is definitely not right. Nevertheless, I say thank you, it was still a great evening.

We ate at Vaca Negra for the first time today. Having become aware of the positive reviews, we can only say that we were by no means disappointed. Even the reservation on the phone was great! Very friendly, with the feeling of being welcomed as a guest. The service on site was also excellent. Very friendly, great advice, and again the feeling of being welcome. Unfortunately, this is no longer available everywhere. Then, the food….simply sensational!!! Of course, good food has its price, you should know that beforehand. From and 5 stars!!! We'd love to come back. 😊

Service, food, places... everything was great! Even though it was very full, we had a really nice seat in a niche near the kitchen. For us it was perfect!
