Super delicious food and great service!

We love coming here; it's a lovely place with an extensive menu featuring various meat and fish dishes. The price-quality ratio is good, the food is well-prepared, the fries and salad are delicious, and the portions are generous. Friendly staff. Make the draft beer a bit colder 😊

The schnitzel was superb – with fresh peppers and onions! TOP! The pork medallions were a bit tough – but the beans and chanterelles were excellent. Service was responsive and very friendly despite a minor hiccup. Highly recommended!

I ate a delicious crispy chicken breast fillet topped with ham, tomatoes, and cheese here. The atmosphere was very nice, everything was very clean, and the service was friendly. Good value for money. It's worth a stop, whether you're just a little hungry or very hungry.

We ate there for the first time today. We adults ordered the Aschendorfer Grillplatte and Grill Steak plate. They were beautifully presented, but they didn't have a "grilled" flavor. The grilled flavor was definitely missing. The herb butter is also store-bought and not homemade, which I find a shame. My children's hamburgers were definitely a no-go. The burger patties seemed quite cheap. They simply had lots of curry ketchup from Hela. Then the Danish remoulade with lots of cucumber and store-bought fried onions on top. (You could make it yourself.) That's it. For those prices, I would have expected more. A delicious homemade sauce would have been nicer. That they don't offer children's plates either. My 3-year-old son doesn't eat as much as a 9-year-old boy. I have a different idea of ​​a grill restaurant. I don't understand the hype surrounding this restaurant.

Good food and friendly service, top

This is a really nice place to have dinner. Do not let the location fool you! It’s located on the middle of an industrial estate, and it’s a modern building. Personal is friendly and you do not have to wait long get services. We both had a hamburger which was without a doubt the best burger we had in years. The restaurant it self is a modern and spotlessly clean. There’s a playground for the kids, and lots of parking space. We definitely come here again!

Delicious schnitzel served by friendly staff

We were here for lunch today for schnitzel day and were absolutely thrilled. Everything is just perfect here: the quality of the food, large portions, fresh salad, a great selection – there's something for everyone! The friendly staff and the ambiance. We'd love to come back.

We've been eating there for years and are very satisfied. But today I was annoyed for the following reasons: I had stomach surgery and since then I'm not allowed to eat cucumbers and tomatoes because I can't digest them properly. I ordered a salad plate from Pia and asked her to leave out the cucumbers and tomatoes and put a bit more lettuce on it. She said that you could leave them out but not in exchange for salad. As a result, I should pay the same amount but get less. I find that strange. Leaving out the tomatoes and cucumbers but putting a bit more lettuce leaves on it doesn't work. Very strange. Maybe I just had the wrong conditions. I'll try again next time, not because I don't like the two things, but because I'm no longer allowed to eat them for health reasons.

Ample parking. Very clean, good, and fast service. Reasonable and affordable prices, especially compared to the Netherlands. The atmosphere is good and clean. The food is excellent. Plates are well-filled. The truffle burger is highly recommended! Truly amazing, and I've never tasted such an explosion of flavors. I highly recommend this restaurant, but reservations are also recommended. These can be easily made through the website.

The food was good, but the ambiance was subpar. The service was very unfriendly, the noise was like a train station, and the tables were placed so close together that the next person would soon be sitting on your lap. It used to be much better there, but now it's all about profit, with every little corner filled with a small table. Given the prices, you'd expect something better.

If you're in the area, a visit is definitely recommended. We've been regulars for 20 years. Uwe's is a must on every visit to Papenburg, and so far, we've never been disappointed.

Truly delicious food. I had the steak pan with absolutely juicy steaks, crispy fried potatoes, fresh mushrooms, and a crisp salad. It was such a large portion that they packed more than half for me to take home. The server was cheerful and very friendly. We'd happily go back. Most of the meals were between €20 and €30, but there were also smaller snacks for significantly less, so I'd say there's something for every budget. We actually ate outside on the terrace, wasp-free.

Uwe's Grill in Papenburg is like a pit stop for the whole family – only much tastier. While the car sips energy from the charging station outside, we're served juicy burgers, crispy fries, and a friendly "Moin!" inside. The kids are happy, we're happy – and so is the battery. Bottom line: You'll not only be full when you leave here, but also in a good mood!

We've been here twice now. The first time we had currywurst and fries, we were very satisfied. The second time, unfortunately, it wasn't as good. The hamburger was okay, but it was a shame it was a frozen patty. The schnitzel with mushrooms was more like paprika sauce with canned mushrooms. Both were generally tasty, but we wouldn't order those dishes again.

Got a seat spontaneously and without a reservation. Friendly and competent staff. Food and drink were enough to fill you up, and the price/quality ratio was right. However, for me personally, the taste wasn't for me. Somewhat neutral in flavor. The mayonnaise is high in fat, but it lacks that certain something. My burger was large, but hard to explain. I came here because of the reputation for the schnitzels so looking forward to it. They were not bad, but lacked a bit of seasoning and they are very dry. The topping, salad (really nice) and kroketten were the highlight, wished the schnitzels would be better. Staff was very friendly and the service was super fast. Liked being here and will come back, will just order something else next time.

I always recommend it if you live there, are in the surrounding area, or are coming from the highway. Driving an extra 100 km is probably not worth it. This is really recommended! Delicious well-done and slightly crispy schnitzel. Wide selection and served with tasty fries and salad. For the big eaters certainly enough and for the small eater the possibility to take a smaller portion. Cozy affordable restaurant with friendly service. Reservations recommended as it was completely full. And that says enough about the quality.

The Somewhat Upscale Chip Shop First of all: Like many others, I found the older waitress awful. I suspect she holds a higher position (boss?). In any case, she was the only one without a uniform. Unfriendly and listless. She placed salads on the table without looking at the guests or saying anything. She barked at other employees in front of the guests. Horrible. Otherwise: There was a lot of staff there (Saturday evening), and everyone else was polite, nice, and accommodating. Although every table was occupied, a server came immediately and asked for drinks. These were brought very quickly. Shortly after, our orders were taken, and the food also arrived very quickly, despite the crowd. The appetizer salad was fresh, crisp, and delicious. The schnitzels were good and tasty. The mushrooms were fresh and well-prepared. The portions are large and reasonable for the price. The ambiance is fine. The decor is nice and cozy, but it is still an "industrial hall." Since everything is open, the noise level is accordingly high. You can't pay at the table; you have to go up to the counter. I hope the waiters get their tips allocated. *Conclusion: A slightly better chip shop. We enjoyed it.

I made a mistake. When we asked the lady who seated us if the blinds could be lowered a little, she smiled kindly and said that was not possible. Then she walked away, so there was no resolution commandments. So when the table next to us left, we solved it ourselves and moved a table to the left. The lady came there, she explained to us 3 times sternly why that was a 'sehr bad idea' of ours because it was confusing for the cashier. I said sorry 3 times, but she kept reprimanding me. Slightly sour aftertaste. Shame! Schnitzel was great by the way. So here, preferably not table 4, don't do it.

Could use a little more ambiance, but that may be personal preference. Enough free parking space. Oh yes, almost forgot; Because the portions are quite large, you can also use "Doggy bags" after the meal, or have your leftover food packed so that you can still eat it at home 🍴.
