The best Ramen experience in Stuttgart. Took me back to Japan.

Food was a step above. Broth and noodles are homeade and you can tell. Appetizers were fantastic. Highly recommend.

The tonkotsu ramen were absolutely delicious, and with a drink and ramen soup, it came to under €20 per person. Highly recommended in terms of taste, and the staff was very friendly. It was just a bit busy around lunchtime, so there was a 10-20 minute wait. But the food arrived very, very quickly after ordering :)

The ramen was delicious. We ordered one vegetarian and one chicken option – I really liked the vegetarian one, but the tofu was just so-so, relatively bland and not very seasoned (typical tofu, really). The chicken, on the other hand, was outstanding and definitely a highlight. It was my first time eating ramen out, and overall I was very satisfied. The food, service, and atmosphere were all great – we'll definitely be back.

Amazing Japanese Ramen, you should really try it! We went there to eat dinner and we were surprised to see that there was a queue in the front of the entrance :) The place is pretty small, but they serve the plates quickly, so we waited about 20 minutes. We tried the Yaki Gyoza ,Tonkotsu ramen, Tan-Tan men and Chicken Tan-Tan men, finished with some sake and all of them were great! It was a great experience, I highly recommend it!

The tables are very close together, which can be a bit awkward in winter with all your winter clothes if you don't want to use the cloakroom. The food is fantastic, very fresh and tasty, and beautifully presented. The service is friendly enough, all in all perfectly fine! You might have to wait a bit outside for a table – they don't take reservations!

Very delicious ramen, I've rarely eaten such delicious food. Unfortunately, reservations aren't possible, which can lead to extremely long waiting times (over 30 minutes was my record).

A very small, cozy restaurant, best enjoyed as a couple at a corner table. The wait can sometimes be a bit long, but I think it's worth it; the food is good and the prices are reasonable. In my opinion, it's not ideal for larger groups, as the tables are too small. It's more suited to a nice date for two.

An authentic Japanese meal that we enjoyed. Unfortunately, we had to deduct two stars for the service, which we'd like to explain. The restaurant is very busy, and seating is limited as it's quite small. This is fine, as it means you might have to wait outside. Also fine. Once we were seated, our order was taken, and we were eating, the seats next to us became vacant, and new guests sat down. Keep in mind, there were three guests at the table before, and suddenly four were seated there, which isn't really a problem in itself, but it was quite cramped for the four of them. What bothered us was that the server abruptly pushed the items already on the table towards us, commenting, "We need more space here..." There were two of us eating. We had ordered not only main courses each but also several appetizers and, of course, drinks. It was an extremely unpleasant situation, and we looked at each other in surprise because suddenly there was practically no room left at the table. We also found the situation negative because it seemed as if guests of Asian descent were being given preferential treatment. Firstly, we noticed what was already described above, and secondly, we had the impression that they took much more time to take our orders than they did for non-Asian customers. From the very beginning, we felt quite rushed, both when ordering and while eating. These two points were unacceptable and could certainly be handled differently. Such things can happen in the heat of the moment when it's busy, but not so obviously, and certainly not under the guise of friendliness. The food was good and authentic, as was the ambiance. That's our initial overall impression. We always give it a second chance and are looking forward to our next visit.

We were extremely satisfied. In my opinion, it was the best ramen I've ever eaten. We ordered one tonkatsu ramen and one veggie ramen. Both were incredibly delicious, with fantastic ingredients and perfect seasoning. Even though she was working alone and the place was packed, we had our food within minutes. We'll definitely be back!

We were there on a Friday evening. I recommend allowing some extra time, as we had to wait in line for 45 minutes during rush hour. Since it was cold outside, they offered tea, which was very nice. The menu is small but excellent. The atmosphere is a bit cozy. I had made a reservation several days in advance, but they don't accept reservations (which we understand). However, I would have appreciated it if this had been clearly stated on their website or elsewhere.

I visited after lunchtime on a weekday. It was quiet and I had a comfortable time. Overall, I recommend it, but I wouldn't go back if I were in Japan. The atmosphere and service were good. I ordered tonkotsu ramen, spicy miso ramen, and gyoza (vegetables). The tonkotsu ramen was terrible. The broth was like a bland soup, not a real ramen broth. Japanese instant ramen is better, it tastes closer to the real thing. The spicy miso ramen was absolutely delicious. Nothing to say here. The char siu was a little dry, but still substantial and tasty. It was tasty, but it was just pre-made, cold pieces on top, which is a bit of a shame. The seasoned egg was delicious. The gyoza were tasty, but warm... not too hot. I also felt they weren't cooked enough. The gyoza sauce was perfect. The food was generally delicious, but there were a few things I missed. Therefore, I highly recommend stopping by if you're craving Japanese food while traveling.

Umani Ramen in Stuttgart is undoubtedly a charming restaurant and certainly one of the best ramen restaurants in the city. However, my personal experience was somewhat mixed. With the long line outside, I honestly expected more. Despite the crowd, we only had to wait about 10 minutes, which was a plus. While we were waiting outside, we were even offered warm tea, which was a really nice gesture from the staff. The service is very fast, almost too fast. When it's busy, you get the feeling that you're expected to eat and make room as quickly as possible because the staff is under pressure. This detracts somewhat from the otherwise pleasant atmosphere. The ramen was good, but not exceptional to my taste – and not the best I've ever eaten. Given the high expectations and the crowds, I had hoped for more. All in all: a nice restaurant and certainly one of the top spots for ramen in Stuttgart, but for me personally, not a reason to return.

Fast food style restaurant. Be prepared to stand in line almost at any hour. The place works on the "hot seat" method. Eat and vacate. The food is excellent! The portions are large and indulgent. Rich flavors and excellent ingredients.

We spontaneously went there on a Sunday evening as a group of seven. We only had to wait 10 minutes for a table, which I thought was fine. We had tonkotsu and chicken shoyu. Both were very tasty, but the tonkotsu was definitely better. Really good. The restaurant is typically small, but that made it very cozy. Unfortunately, it was a bit noisy because of that, but you have to accept that.

We visited this restaurant for the first time, as the constant queue outside had piqued our curiosity. We ordered the Veggie Miso Ramen and the Chicken Miso Ramen. Unfortunately, we found the broth lacking in flavor and particularly missed the deep umami aroma. The Chicken Miso contained a generous amount of noodles, bean sprouts, spring onions, and corn, though we felt the corn didn't quite complement the other ingredients. Overall, we felt the variety of ingredients was rather limited compared to the price. One star is deducted because the menu on the restaurant's official website was outdated, and the prices had increased considerably. This is unfortunate if you want to check the menu beforehand.

The vegetables were fresh and well-prepared, and the marinated egg was perfectly cooked, with a delicious sweet marinade and a wonderfully creamy yolk; it was a real treat. The toppings were generous and well-balanced, including sweetcorn, bean sprouts, bamboo shoots, herbs, and a very well-done crispy katsu. My friend's ramen was just as good, with plenty of vegetables and naruto (spicy onions). The ramen is as beautiful as it is delicious—a true visual delight. We also shared some ultra-crispy meat and vegetable gyoza, golden brown to perfection, with a flavorful filling. A great appetizer to share. In terms of value for money, it's generally very satisfying, given the generous portions and the careful preparation of the dishes. The prices are a bit high, but considering the quality of the broth, the impeccable cooking, and the service, it's definitely worth it.

The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming; their attentiveness is evident from the initial greeting to the serving. This time, I ordered the spicy miso ramen with a cup of hot matcha. The aroma was irresistible as soon as the ramen arrived. The rich miso, the subtle spiciness, and the springy texture of the noodles blended perfectly, instantly reminding me of the authentic flavors I'd tasted in Japan. To be able to enjoy such a perfectly prepared bowl of ramen in Germany, where ingredients are not always readily available, truly felt like a blessing. I wholeheartedly recommend it—this is a ramen shop worth making a special trip to experience the soul of Japan through its flavors.

I went for lunch one Sunday with friends. Since there were five of us, they made us wait while everyone else who arrived after us was allowed in. We waited for about 20 minutes to get in. The food was okay, but I ordered an iced lemon tea and it wasn't cold, it was at room temperature. The place isn't bad, but it's not a 5-star restaurant either.

I asked for their spicy ramen to be spicier, and it was delicious!! Highly recommended. We arrived right at opening time, but it quickly filled up. It's so popular that seating may be limited.

The food was not for me. The soup was super salty, a little too salty to my taste, it looked much better than it tasted.

After traveling around Europe, I was craving Japanese food and came here. I enjoyed the delicious pan-fried dumplings, fried chicken, Kirin beer, and miso ramen. Delicious ramen. Rich pork broth, tasty pork belly. They also offer chicken or vegetable broth. A small, charming shop. Lovely atmosphere, Japanese style. Anyone who's been to Japan and misses ramen should definitely stop by.

The food was quite good, even if it wasn't 100% authentic Japanese. In Japan, ramen has a bit more heat. What bothered me most, however, were the gyoza. They usually contain pork, but here they were offered with chicken or vegetarian. Fine, but you could definitely taste the difference. In Japan, ramen costs half the price, and the portions are larger. Not tiny, but a bit smaller. The service was excellent by German standards, but not by Japanese standards. There were a few minor issues. For example, 😁 they could have given us a menu while we waited. That would have made choosing even faster. Then, a customer opened the door, and a server pushed her way through. Unthinkable in Japan. But still, the staff were good, no question! Overall, a good experience. We'll definitely come back!

Amazing ramen. It doesn't get more authentic than this. I had the tonkotsu ramen with chachu, red ginger, and egg: incredibly creamy and flavorful broth! And an ice-cold Kirin beer to go with it. Great lunch, I'll definitely be back.

Very tasty and authentic Japanese restaurant with a very tasty setting and fresh Kirin beer on tap. Even queuing in front of the restaurant is like in Japan. But joking aside, take some time as it is very crowded there. And sometimes you have to wait a bit until a table becomes available. However, if you have a place it goes pretty quickly. We could enjoy our hot and fresh ramen after about 10 minutes. If you are in Stuttgart or live there, it is definitely worth a visit. Itadakimasu

If you order the chicken soy sauce ramen, don't order the karaage topping, because the chicken soy sauce ramen's topping is fried chicken, which is redundant. I was a bit shocked because I've never encountered chicken ramen with karaage topping before in Japan. Also, the fried chicken soaking in the broth for too long makes the broth taste a bit bitter. The chicken flavor in the broth is already quite average, refreshing but not very flavorful; the soy sauce flavor is stronger than the chicken flavor. The fried chicken is good on its own, and the chicken soy sauce ramen is also good on its own, but don't order them together! The miso ramen is quite authentic, decently good, with the corn kernels and miso broth having that authentic flavor! This place is very popular, the seating is a bit crowded, the service is normal, the ramen is still good, and the tableware is well-made, but the chicken soy sauce ramen really disappointed me; it felt a bit perfunctory. However, I was still touched to be able to eat ramen like this in Germany, and I'll try other flavors next time I have the chance.

I've been to this ramen restaurant several times and always enjoy coming back. You often have to wait a bit longer, as it's almost always busy, but the wait is definitely worth it. We've been coming here for ramen for several years now and have never been disappointed. You usually have to wait a bit to get a seat, but it's worth it. I also had the same server twice and I didn’t really get a welcoming feeling from them. Like I was wasting their time. But they were quick on getting the food out so that’s a plus

A lovely restaurant with a tasty, but not particularly exceptional menu. The dishes were rather ordinary, and the staff, unfortunately, didn't seem particularly motivated on the day of our visit.

The seating was very cramped. The food wasn't our taste at all. Pork belly or fried chicken as the main side dish, hardly any vegetables... €16.50 doesn't seem right to us. The taste was hmm, okay. But then, ramen just isn't our thing.

We went to Umami for lunch. An outdoor table was free, and we were seated right away. They weren't quick, but the ramen was perfect—flavorful and just the right amount of heat. They say the line to get in in the evening is very long. An experience worth having.
