EArth Tokyo Japanese Ramen Restaurant in Stuttgart

Highly recommended! The ramen tastes just like in Japan, and the selection is fantastic. The service is very attentive, fast, and friendly. I love going there again and again.

Used to served extremely delicious and pretty authentic ramen. Sadly in my visits the last few months, the quality has declined. The miso tonkotsu broth isn't as flavourful. And the chasu pork slices aren't tender and juicy, but surprisingly dry. Even the chicken karage felt meh. Still good if you want to satisfy a ramen kick, but no longer a must visit. Pros: service is pretty fast and friendly.

Delicious, but quite a lot of sprouts; however, that's a matter of taste.

Unfortunately, the quality has declined; it used to be the best casual restaurant in Stuttgart. Now it's more like upper-middle-class. A real shame...

From my Western ignorance about Japanese culture, I have the feeling that sitting at the counter with a view of the kitchen in a Ramen restaurant in a subway station does feel a bit more Japanese. :) Spent 2 minutes in line outside, but then I stepped in and asked for a seat for one. The Soy Ramen with extra veggies was on Advent offer, but I decided on the normal one with a side. So it was a normal Soy Ramen followed by the Gyoza (who says it's an appetizer? :-) Ramen was nice, I asked for an additional Kimchi kick, and it was a good idea, as otherwise it would have been a bit too mild. The broth was tasty, but the meat slices were a bit drier than you'd expect from some meat sitting in broth in a soup. The noodles were thick and "al dente" if a pasta comparison makes sense. The Gyoza I've never seen them in green, nice and not greasy, good roasted bottom side. I think I may come back.

The ramen is absolutely delicious, and the staff is incredibly friendly. We always love coming back. The queue outside isn't ideal, but that means you always get your food very quickly. The location could be better (it's right by the subway and a bit small). But that's the only downside.

Very tasty ramen and also great matcha ice cream.

The place this spot is in is not doing it justice. It’s awesome to see how busy this is with long lines. I hope they reinvest this into a better location. Note that on a busy Friday evening, the overall experience was noticeably reduced due to them just being super busy. The glass front in front of the chefs was quite dirty (the kitchen itself wasn’t!) and the Karaage came out without any seasoning. Super juicy but no salt on them whatsoever. This could have been a super Karaage and a very generous portion. The ramen was fine. I didn’t find it super exciting but fair prices. I am not sure it’s authentic but I wish they torched the pork. Also if you expect belly chashu that ain’t it. They had torches in the kitchen but maybe not for this dish or they were just too busy.

The ingredients were fresh, the vegetables were crisp and delicious, and the noodles were plentiful. The only drawback was that the soup was too salty.

Delicious and generously sized ramen! The staff is always friendly and the service is fast. I come here often and it's always great. Highly recommended if you're in the mood for good ramen. 🍜

Delicious ramen, good gyoza, and a great atmosphere down in the passage by the city center subway station – noodles with a fantastic texture, intense broth, and tasty fresh toppings – everything you could want in good ramen. Definitely worth checking out.

Good restaurant, the ramen is freshly prepared and the broth is pleasantly rich. The menu is well done with pictures and toppings (I would like more variety in the meat options, not pork). The location is, well, okay (suburban train station), but still recommendable.

An authentic, welcoming restaurant right in the heart of Stuttgart's city center – located in a subway station, which might seem unusual at first, but has a certain charm. The place is clean, tidy, and exudes a genuine, relaxed atmosphere. We tried the ramen soup, cucumber salad, and refreshing drinks – everything was truly delicious and freshly prepared. The soups were fantastic, subtly seasoned, and beautifully balanced. The cucumber salad was wonderfully crisp and light, and the drinks were a perfect match. The service was friendly, attentive, and very pleasant. You can tell that the staff puts their heart into their work, without seeming forced. For anyone who wants to enjoy authentic ramen in a relaxed, uncomplicated setting, Earth Tokyo is definitely worth a visit.

Listen, this place does have some of the best ramen in Stuttgart. And the servers are super nice and accommodating. But bottom line, it’s in the sbahn station and there is nothing that can make up for the smell of pee that wafts in and invades your nostrils as you eat your noodle. There are plenty of other ramen places in Stuttgart that serve your food sans pee smell, best to stick to them.

Really good; nice service and although there was a lengthy line when we went on a Friday evening it didn’t take too long to get seated and the food came quickly. As you can see from the picture the ribs were finger licking good! 😋

The food here was amazing! Highly recommended. We had to wait about 15 to 20 minutes to get a seat inside, but it was well worth it. After ordering, the food came out pretty quickly. I also think it's great that they have a good vegetarian selection. Thank you!

This ramen exceeded my expectations in a good way. An acquaintance recommended this place to me on my first visit to Stuttgart, so I went there. It was so delicious that I had it two days in a row. I had miso ramen and champon, and both were delicious. The noodles had a strong wheat flavor, and the hot soup was nice (German ramen is often warm). I've been to several ramen restaurants in Germany and the Netherlands, and in some ways I thought this was better than the ramen in Düsseldorf, where there are many ramen restaurants. Aside from the ramen, the service was friendly and I had a pleasant experience. I could see the kitchen from the counter, and I liked how clean and organized it was. I'd definitely visit again next time I'm in Stuttgart. If I had to point out some negative aspects, I thought the spinach in my miso ramen was too soft (perhaps overcooked?), and the seafood in my champon was smaller than expected. However, it may be that softness is normal for spinach in Germany.

This is truly an amazing ramen shop! A starry, bright, delicious ramen, the person in question is extremely Japanese and there's a whole authentic Japanese atmosphere where you can say "Welcome!" and enjoy all those delicious dishes! Thank you for making such rich-flavored food!

This was my first ramen, and it was quite tasty. It just took some getting used to eating it with chopsticks and a porcelain spoon, but I heard you can also get a regular fork if you ask. 😉 The staff was very nice, but our group apparently arrived during a busy time in the evening and had to wait over 30 minutes for a free table. Well, maybe it was rather unusual to show up spontaneously with six people. Unfortunately, I can't compare it to other ramen, but I was satisfied and would like to share that here. Enjoy your meal.

Wow, wow, wow… I was in Japan myself, and I have to say this is truly authentic ramen. I ate two straight away, and I highly recommend it.

Friendly and, of course, fast service. Everything was clean. Unfortunately, the veggie ramen consisted almost entirely of noodles. Three or four tofu cubes could have been added as well. More vegetables would have been nice.

The Earth Shoyu broth is particularly delicious, and should be called "soul-soothing" broth. You can tell the broth has been simmered for a very long time, as it has a deep flavor. The miso broth is also good, creamy, and hearty. The noodles have a good bite, and the portions are generous. The meat is unfortunately a bit fatty for my taste, but still delicious.

I finally found my go-to ramen place in Stuttgart! This was my first time visiting since they opened and I am not disaapointed. You can already smell the broth when you enter the restaurant, which is located right in the Rotebühlplatz station (exit Calwer Straße). I went with a friend who has a toddler, and we ordered: 1 normal miso ramen, 1 shoyu ramen, takoyaki, and one of the dons (I forgot which one). Everything was to perfection! The broth was rich and tasty, but not to overpowering. I prefer the shoyu rather than miso though (personal taste). The service was also friendly but to us adults and this toddler who wanted to crawl around the restaurant. Too bad there was no high chairs for kids - maybe it’s not a bad idea to invest in one! Price was a bit on the high side, but can be compensated with the taste! 😋 I was full so didn’t have dessert, but I definitely will come back for the matcha creme brulee! Update: went there 2 more times! The matcha creme brulee is my favorite!

First of all, the service was great, no problems in that regard, apart from the 40 minute wait right after the shop opened, which is difficult to manage otherwise with that number of people. The food, however, was truly disappointing. After reading all the reviews here, I was really looking forward to it, but I was disappointed. I had the Tokyo Miso Ramen and the Takoyaki. The takoyaki were good. The broth wasn't particularly strong, the first time I've noticed something like that. The chashu was partly very tender, partly very chewy. The noodles were really good. The eggs, however, were incredibly disappointing. The yolk was 20% waxy and 80% runny, and the entire egg tasted like pure egg, with no "marinade" detectable, neither visually nor in the taste. It was my first time there, in the evening at 5:00 p.m. Maybe it's not always like this, but the eggs don't look much different in the pictures in the other reviews. I'd like to see if it's always like this, but for this quality, the price isn't worth a second visit. Definitely the most expensive and yet worst ramen I've eaten in or outside of Japan. Edit: The egg that day wasn't soft-boiled, or rather, soft-boiled, but so runny that almost all of it ran into the ramen. Unfortunately, I'm used to it differently.

Well, I was always very impressed. Super delicious food, and that was still the case on my last visit, even if it didn't blow me away quite as much as on previous visits. I'll put that down to the day's form or something like that; it's not decisive for my rating. What bothered me much more was the service. I don't have a problem with English-speaking staff, but it would be very helpful if it was pointed out in some way. If I'd known that the lady didn't speak German, or only spoke broken German, I would have communicated with her in English from the start, and we would have saved ourselves a lot of guesswork. The fact that the restaurant was apparently training a lot of new staff that day made the whole thing even more chaotic. Two of the waitresses had absolutely no idea what was going on, literally zero. I probably would have been just as confused if I'd taken the order myself. Then there was the language problem, since we didn't yet know that the lady actually didn't understand us at all. Additionally, there was some kind of problem with the card payment terminals, and only one of the staff members seemed to have any idea how to solve the problem. The table next to us took at least 20 minutes to pay, and they also took at least 10 minutes. And then we come to the last point of criticism (I hope I'm just experiencing an optical illusion). With a kitchen with glass panes facing the dining area, the problem is that you can see into the kitchen. This also means you can see what might be going on in the kitchen. I'm just hoping my vision is a bit skewed and it was just a regular, lazy housefly that I saw on the window from inside.

Tsukemen is a style of Japanese ramen where the noodles and broth are served separately. The noodles, usually thicker and chewier, are cooked and then rinsed in cold water to keep them firm. You dip the noodles into a concentrated hot broth for each bite. This separation keeps the noodles from getting soggy. The name tsukemen literally translates to "dipping noodles". After you finish the noodles, you can ask for "soup-wari"—a light broth added to the dipping sauce so you can drink it like a soup.

The food was Amazing!! You can adjust your potion size for a price as well as the spice levels. The staff greeted us when we came in and tried to make the place as welcoming as possible. We had a group of 4 and could sit. The place is not very big so there is limited space but they'll work with you. Only issue i had with them was that our waitress left work an we waited for a while to get our check. Will definitely be going back there if I'm back in the area.

Friendly service, English is spoken well. The earth miso is large and filling, the spicy version is spicy but not too hot. The regular miso tastes very good, and the regular shoyu is solid. The yuzu shoyu (veggie) also tastes okay. For dessert, the matcha mochi ice cream is worth a try...

Truly delicious ramen creations. Wonderfully seasoned, with an excellent taste! The value for money is also excellent. The portions are generous and filling. Located right next to the subway station, the restaurant still has a very cosy atmosphere. Give it a try: it's worth it!

For me, Earth Tokyo Restaurant is the best ramen restaurant in Stuttgart! 🍜 We tried several ramen variations – each one was incredibly delicious, with a perfectly balanced broth and fresh ingredients. I would also like to particularly highlight the takoyaki – simply excellent, crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and delicious! 🐙 The team there is very friendly, attentive, and welcoming – you immediately feel welcome. This is where you can find the best ramen in all of Germany! I lived in Asia for 5 years and love ramen and eat it very often. These were by far the best 🤩 The service is super friendly; everyone greets and says goodbye. The prices are also really good per person: Ramen + drink -> about €15 With extras or larger portions, the total is €20, and the regular portions are definitely enough 👍 Even if the location seems suspect at first, it's completely different once you're inside. I was here with my partner, who was eager to show me this place. My expectations were far exceeded! The staff were very accommodating and friendly, and combined with the ambiance, it felt like a classic Japanese ramen restaurant! I was also very satisfied with the taste. We shared a portion of edamame, which, incidentally, was my first time eating it – unexpectedly delicious! The ramen and our desserts were also incredibly delicious! We will definitely be back in the future! :)

If you want to experience Japan in Germany, this is the right place. Of course, there are some minor differences, but I found myself saying thank you in Japanese.

Authentic Japanese, truly delicious, and you're immediately greeted with "Irasshaimase," which might seem strange to people who haven't been to Japan before. But it's perfectly normal to greet customers and make them feel welcome. The shoyu ramen is a dream, simply delicious. Japanese chefs you can watch preparing the food. My favorite ramen bar.

Authentic atmosphere, like a Japanese subway mezzanine. Cleanliness could be better (the table wasn't wiped down). Unfortunately, the ramen with the piled-up topping wasn't really my cup of tea, as I was already full by the time I got to the broth.

Lousy. The menu doesn't offer much variety; the only meat is pork. I ordered the vegetarian version with tofu that contained lemon peel (which wasn't on the menu). I didn't like it, so I asked for a change. Not only did they not change it, but they told me I had to order a different one and pay for both. I will never spend my money there again.

This is my sixth time coming here. Even though there's often a line out the door. Once I was surprised that they had ume sake on the menu, but the waitress didn't know the German word "plum wine." Since then, I've been ordering in Japanese 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

The broth really didn't taste bad, and the service was also extremely friendly and attentive. Unfortunately, this positive impression was marred several times by the poor hygiene standards, which were evident almost everywhere. Even though the ramen tasted decent, I won't be visiting the restaurant again or recommending it to anyone.

All in all, a lovely stay with great food and incredibly friendly service. We'll be back.

Very tasty ramen; we had the Tokyo Earth with pork belly and the miso ramen. Very tasty and long-lasting 🤩 The takoyaki were also delicious; they're a 10. Very friendly service, and the dishes arrived relatively quickly. The price was perfectly reasonable. The only downside is the location on the mezzanine floor, which isn't so appealing, but the shop is very cozy. Be prepared to wait a bit; it's definitely worth it here (10 minutes or so). 🥰 Definitely recommended

We regularly drive to Stuttgart just to eat the ramen here. Incredibly delicious, even the veggie version! And the service is very friendly. Getting a seat at lunchtime is no problem. The food comes to the table quickly.

Great place but if you’re early in the evening, the restaurant closes. Space is a bit less inside the restaurant but that doesn’t stop you from getting the great experience.

Very good ramen! There are other places in the area worth waiting in line for. I didn't see a line here, which is a positive difference. The broth here is also better than in any other place in the area. It's definitely worth a visit; the ramen is great (I recommend the Tokyo Shoyu), and the chicken gyoza were also great and served quickly. I highly recommend it! The shop is a bit small and located in the train station, but for some, that's probably part of its charm. A seat at the counter only makes it more authentic.

Very good food in a small Japanese restaurant. The restaurant is very centrally located in Stuttgart, in the Rotebühlpassage under Rotebühlplatz, between the Rotebühlplatz subway station and the Stadtmitte S-Bahn station. The staff is very friendly! I had the yuzuka lemonade, gyoza, and teriyaki spare ribs – everything was delicious. Payment by debit card and tipping by debit card are accepted. A clean restroom is available. Use is free for guests. Those who only want to use the restroom without consuming anything will be charged a €2 fee.

This place is definitely worth the trip! The location is a bit odd and can be difficult to find on the first try, but once you do it'll be worth it. The Tokyo miso ramen was excellent, I ordered it spicy and definitely recommend that if you like a little extra kick. The service here was very good too, and they have a professional staff that speaks multiple languages for their customers. I'll be back many times whenever I'm craving ramen.
