My mom and I went there last week hoping to get something delicious to eat. Unfortunately, it quickly became clear that they weren't fresh schnitzel, but rather that every schnitzel looked flat, like it had come from the freezer, and the fried potatoes that I had ordered with it all looked the same, were swimming in oil and, in my opinion, had also come from a bag. The price was totally overpriced for these Esden. The young waiter was very friendly and considerate but despite that we won't be visiting this restaurant again, sorry

I ordered a schnitzel and it was just a disaster. The schnitzel was frozen, just put in the deep fryer and then served with a little garnish. A piece of dry meat... for a very high price. Definitely not a recommendation. More like a minus star but that's not possible. Maybe they will change something in their concept.

The fish platter was really good, but the sauces that came with it weren't. . . a sweet mustard sauce, a cream horseradish sauce that only tastes vaguely like horseradish and an industrial-made tartar sauce. . . somewhat unimaginative.

Bad, unfriendly service, schnitzel finished product from the deep fryer, fried potatoes were floating in oil, Maggi sauce was finished product. Price performance absolutely 0. Actually doesn't deserve a star!!

My daughter and I just ate here. The ambience can be seen as quaint and cozy. You feel comfortable there. Our waiter was very friendly and accommodating. It was very thoughtful of him to name the different fish fillets on our fish platter. Extra requests (vegetables instead of potatoes) were no problem at all. Definitely worth a visit.

Always excellent food, perfect service-oriented service and always friendly. It's nice when people always recognize us by the dog ;) no nonsense... we love going to Twee Linden to enjoy a great view of the Alter Strom, to eat delicious food and, above all, at reasonable prices. Thanks to the team, we'll come back again and again!

We stayed there overnight and really enjoyed it

Very tasty fish platter with four types of fish, very tender and tasty. The cod with spinach also had just the right amount of sauce. The waitress had a sweet smile and the waiter would describe each fish and was very nice. Made a cold evening by the sea warm. Would recommend everyone to visit this place.

We had booked the holiday apartment with Mr. Linkis and were made aware of this restaurant there. As a passionate angler and fish eater, I really wanted to eat this Warnemünde fish platter there. The service was very friendly, but when the food came I think my jaw dropped, I was so disappointed with this food that I would have preferred to return it. The fish was apparently just steamed and had no taste. Apparently a piece of the pectoral fin of the hake was taken and it was full of bones, something like that would have ended up in the trash can at home. Then the boiled potatoes were absolutely cold and had no taste, not melted with fat and not garnished with parsley. The best thing on the plate was the salad. My wife decided on a schnitzel, but wasn't happy with the taste either. I would recommend the chef to go to the Black Forest/Simonswald Krone Post because he could learn something about fish dishes.

Located directly on the Alter Strom. Very friendly welcome and service. The furnishings are already getting old and the rooms also need renovation. The food was freshly prepared and the portions were fine for medium hunger.

The food didn't taste good. The fried potatoes are very done, not crispy at all. The mustard cream and the large amount of bacon made the green herrings taste like nothing! A 0.75 liter bottle of water for €8.50, all you get is stuttering. In the Panorama Café in the Hotel Neptun the bottle costs €1 less! The service was good. The toilets are not barrier-free, stairs go down to the basement.

A good idea to offer kale with smoked pork as a seasonal meal. Nice little restaurant with pleasant and quick service. Gladly again!

It was prepared quickly, served well, the waiters were nice, but it wasn't tasty. My potatoes weren't fried, but almost completely burnt. Only gari pieces made me feel nauseous afterwards. Vegetable schnitzel, almost liquid overall. The fries are fried, crispy, but disgusting. Thank you for your hospitality, I will not come back ❤️)

Cozy restaurant with rustic cuisine located directly at the harbor. My recommendation: plaice fillet

We have been to Warnemünde so many times and had never really noticed this restaurant, which, as we discovered last night, was a big mistake. There was a lot going on in Warnemünde and we found space here for dinner with our children. The staff was extremely friendly and warm. The service is very good. And eating is a real experience. Very good in taste and very plentiful. 😋 The price-performance ratio impresses with more performance. It's almost not something you're used to anymore 🫠 Thank you very much for this gastronomic result from the Carsten Gruhn family

Twee Linden, always an experience, food great

Unfortunately disappointing. We used to be guests all the time and today we returned after a long time. We were 2 guests and wanted to have a table at the front where it was brighter and more comfortable. There were 3 tables available for 4 people each. Two people each sat at three occupied tables of four. But we were told that since there were only two of us and there were only tables for four, we would like to go to the back. There could still be guests who come in groups of four and need the tables When we vehemently insisted on it, we were consulted and after a wait we were able to take a seat. The waitress, a younger gentleman, was friendly and service-oriented. However, the food did not inspire enthusiasm. A small plaice, very hard crust, small fried potatoes that were fried a little too long. During our visit, 2 other guests came three times and were able to sit at a table for two in the front area. Conclusion: it used to be much better and we won't be coming back any time soon.

Super good food…the service was very good. A 12 out of 10 from us. And we will definitely come back when we are in Warnemünde. 👍👍🙏🙏😁

January 2025 The rooms were cool, we sat in the back area, one couple found it too cold and asked for another seat The staff was very friendly but unkempt (in street clothes, hair not combed) The food, I had the daily menu, plaice, fried potatoes and side dishes Unfortunately, the food only came to the table lukewarm to cold, which was a shame because it was beautifully prepared and tasted okay My personal opinion, there is still room for improvement

A somewhat outdated restaurant with friendly staff and solid home cooking, but quite high prices.

At Christmas time you can get the tastiest mulled wine in all of Warnemünde at a fair price. The atmosphere at Am Strom and the service are unique.

The older man at the mulled wine stand outside is the absolute highlight every year. Absolutely likeable, relaxed Mecklenburg style. I look forward to drinking our Christmas mulled wine there every year during the Christmas holidays.

Nice little restaurant with maritime charm.

We have been visiting this restaurant since 2010 and were satisfied with the staff, the food and the price/performance ratio until 2020. Things kept getting worse. Now we were there for the last time on March 31, 2023. Prices have gone through the roof, cup of coffee €5.50 bottle of water 0.75 l €8.50. Food generally too expensive, quality: better canteen food, staff annoyed and even the friendliness has been lost. Conclusion: tourist rip-off due to good location. Unfortunately management doesn't seem to read the reviews. Update: Last attempt on October 16, 2024 Staff friendly, but price-performance ratio is very poor. Fried potatoes were limp and actually belonged in the bin. It is permitted to charge an additional price for this, but this would then have to be mentioned when ordering. In this case it was an outrage anyway. Friendliness of the staff is not enough, it also has to be good quality. Pure tourist rip-off. Unfortunately, new tourists keep coming and due to the good location, the performance can also decrease significantly. But there are better and cheaper restaurants in Warnemünde in the second row. Twee Linden will never see us again, even if we starve.

At least once a year we have dinner in the Twee Linden. The dishes are absolutely great in terms of taste and size. The service is quick and very friendly, only the young gentleman behind the counter doesn't have enough professional experience. So we'll be happy to come back next year, thank you very much.

Wir hatten Hunger und wollten etwas essen. So landeten wir bei den Twee Linden. Wir waren froh, einen Tisch zu bekommen, es war ziemlich voll. Wir saßen ziemlich eng. Der Service gut, doch so stelle ich mir die Mitropakellner von früher vor. Irgendwie zu geschäftig, nur das was man machen muss. Ich vermisste offene Freundlichkeit. Das Essen "Warnemünder Fischplatte" für 26,60€ waren 3 frittierte unterschiedliche Fischsorten, die alle gleich schmeckten. Abfüttern war hier das Motto, ging alles sehr schnell. Fazit, hier ging es nicht um Ambiente oder einen schönen Abend, hier ging es nur um schnelles Essen und dann die nächsten Gäste.

We were hungry and wanted to eat something. So we ended up at the Twee Linden. We were happy to get a table, it was pretty busy. We were seated quite closely. The service was good, but that's how I imagine the Mitropa waiters from back in the day. Kind of too busy, just what you have to do. I missed open friendliness. The meal “Warnemünder Fischplatte” for €26.60 was 3 different types of fried fish, all of which tasted the same. Feeding was the motto here and everything happened very quickly. Conclusion, this wasn't about ambience or a nice evening, this was just about quick food and then the next guests.

Come here once a year to eat fried herring, although it's not cheap either. Now 3x more expensive than in 2020

Incredibly friendly staff. A coloring picture and pens were brought for my daughter and a large bowl of water for the dogs without me having to ask - the staff were so attentive 😍😍😍😍 The food was delicious, we would love to come back.

Sind des öfteren in Warnemünde und auch in der gaststätte twee Linden eingekehrt .waren sehr entäuscht über das Mikrowellenessen . Die putenleber trocken. Die Champions eine Pampe. Die Schnitzel aus der Gefriertruhe. Die Bratkartoffeln ganz lecker und der Krautsalat lecker. Aber wir kommen nicht wieder 🙈🙈

Rather inconspicuous from the outside but still a very cozy little restaurant. The waiters were very nice and knew their stuff. Food was super delicious. Rarely have I had such a good schnitzel au four. Always worth a visit.

Delicious fisherman, great service

We were guests at Haus Twee Linden and were treated very unfriendly in the restaurant. When we asked kindly whether we could eat here after our arrival, the annoyed service staff sent us to the drafty cat table in the entrance area, which put a damper on our holiday mood. The real problem was the rented holiday apartment in the same house. In the back rooms, towards the kitchen and stairwell, there is a really bad smell (obviously for years, according to reviews on Booking.com and Google). You don't even want to know what stinks. We moved out of the holiday apartment in the attic early because it wasn't bearable. The smell of toilet?, grease trap? and the exhaust air system from the kitchen can no longer be removed from the apartment. There are also only roof hatches, so the smell of fish and fat wafted into the apartment, which was still very warm (at 19 degrees outside temperature!) There are a few more defects to list. Broken sockets, radiators placed on stones, dirty windows and roof terrace, ... Emails were not responded to at all. It was only when we announced that we were moving out of Twee Linden that we were asked to cancel the apartment via Booking.com so that the apartment could be rented out again. Of course we didn't get any money back.

As always, the food was very good, but the drink prices have broken the sound barrier. Therefore, there will be no further visits to the restaurant on our part.

We stopped here at short notice to have dinner. The service staff were consistently very friendly and attentive - unfortunately that was about it for the positive side of this restaurant. The tables are far too close together, you sit far too close to the people sitting next to you and can practically understand every word. Food came quickly. We each had a schnitzel with fried potatoes and a raw vegetable side dish - the latter was the "best" thing of the whole thing. Schnitzel came out of the deep fryer, the fried potatoes were bland and greasy. Sorry - but with a schnitzel for almost 20 euros, you can expect that it comes from the pan, the fried potatoes are seasoned and the mushrooms don't come from a can, but are fresh.

Unfortunately, unfriendly. Yesterday we wanted to eat at Twee Linden at 7 p.m. after making a reservation. We arrived a little earlier and explained this to the waiter. It wouldn't have been a problem for us to wait a little longer. We would have been happy to take the unreserved tables outside and give our table to another couple. There were enough guests. Instead: So far we have come here every once or twice. We'll let that go now. The waiter who was supposed to serve us was so unfriendly and instructive that we left without eating. I don't need to be lectured to in my free time. We were friendly and expect the same towards each other. Unfortunately, after 10 years, this was our last visit.

We had the cod and the zander and it was very tasty. The waitress was very friendly and considerate. The food came to the table quickly.

Delicious food, great service, great waiter who exuded professional calm. We sat outside and could watch the promenade. Ate the fish platter and it was damn tasty. Highly recommended.

We had the fish menu of the day, very tasty and quickly prepared. The service was friendly and quick. From our table on the terrace we had a great view of the hustle and bustle on the promenade at the Alter Strom.

We were here for the Hanse Sail and ended up here by chance. We only drank something and didn't eat, but we really enjoyed it. Attentive, friendly staff, the long drinks tasted great and it's really comfortable to sit here. We can only recommend it.

0.4 Pils for 6.20 or 6.70...guys...that's what I call a rip-off. We left again. Fortunately, there are plenty of alternatives in the immediate vicinity.

After 20 minutes there was still no service at the table, even though the restaurant wasn't overly full. Then they left.

Ich bin jedes Jahr mit meiner Frau in Warnemünde und da auch am Alten Strom bei Twee Linden. Die Preise sind gehoben und eigentlich die Qualität immer gut gewesen. Doch heute wurde ich eines Besseren belehrt: als ich allein da war, war plötzlich alles anders. Der arrogant wirkende, wortarme Kellner war kurz da und dann wieder weg. Er lies sich draußen kaum sehen, da er drinnen wohl Tische bediente. Seine Kolleginnen wollten jedoch mich auch nicht bedienen und ich sollte warten bis der Kollege wieder mich bedient. Dann bestellte ich das Hamburger Schnitzel und erhielt ein vor Fett tropfendes Etwas. Hat man mit der Gabel das Schnitzel zum Zerschneiden angestochen, lief links und rechts das Fett auf den Teller heraus. Die dazu gereichten Bratkartoffeln waren ebenfalls im Fett gebaden und so knusprig, dass man sie kaum Anspiesen konnte. Ich habe das Schnitzel mir gerade so rein gequält und die Bratkartoffeln liegen lassen. Das Schnitzel war auch geschmacklos. Auf dem Tisch stand nur Salz und Zucker, Pfeffer hatte ich erbeten, jedoch kam dieser nicht. Nachdem ich dann etwa 20 Minuten vor meinem halbvollen Teller saß, kam wieder eine Kellnerin zum Abräumen. Ich monierte das Schnitzel und die Bratkartoffeln und sie entschuldigte sich und wollte in der Küche und im Service Bescheid geben. Eine weitere Reaktion kam nicht. Nach weiteren 20 Minuten kam der Kellner mal wieder vorbei und ich bat um die Rechnung. Er hat sie mir wortlos überreicht, keinen Nachlass, keine kleine Widergutmachung, keine Entschuldigung - nichts. Ich komme nun nicht mehr wieder...

A very nice little restaurant with an outside area, we sat outside and enjoyed the wonderful view of the ships. The staff was very friendly, elegant and flexible when it came to putting together the food. Everything was explained to us very well when we brought our food which fish was which. Our food was damn tasty. A very successful day

We were regular guests here, but the store won't see us again. We were there at the beginning of May and were looking forward to our obligatory visit. But this joy was very disappointed, initially as usual, a bit of a wait for a free table is normal. Then came the comment that if we want something to eat, we should hurry up because the table was reserved from 7 p.m. So we had 1 1/4 hours, which was okay for us. We ordered our drinks without looking at the drinks menu, we should have done better. A glass of still water = 0.5l = 5 euros and 1 non-alcoholic wheat beer 6.80 euros. Then comes the top banger, schnitzel, boiled potatoes and 300g of asparagus with a hint of hollandaise sauce 26.50, but since I don't like potatoes, I wanted fries, which makes 1.50 more. So we're talking about a schnitzel that came out of the deep fryer, 300g of asparagus with hollandaise sauce and fries for 28.00 euros. Sorry dear operator, these prices are not justified by the increase in VAT. My wife's fried plaice was well-done and dry. In the past, instead of this strange sauce that tasted and looked more like roux, there was a mustard cream. The raw vegetable side dish wasn't worth mentioning, something out of the bucket, delivered ready-made by the wholesaler. The service was friendly as always. All in all we paid 65.90 and for us it was the last time we threw our MONEY down this restaurant's throat. It's a shame that it's actually a tradition to stop here about 4-5 times a year when we're in Warnemünde.

We are canceling this vacation in Twee Linden immediately. Apart from that, we don't want to have to keep staring at the wall of the house opposite, which blocks out the light at a distance of just one meter. A feeling like being in prison. The little room is a joke. Was shown well in the picture! The worst thing is the musty smell. We don’t want to have to continue breathing in mold spores. Our health is important to us. So we leave this place as quickly as possible. The price for this accommodation is outrageously high.

It's been a while, but I just now noticed that my comment wasn't published. Very strange, maybe the owners didn't like it. So here's the 2nd attempt: "Would like to leave a review if I was let in. I had already called a few hours in advance and was told that there would be no problem for one person around 5-5:30 p.m. and that I could be accommodated at a table. When I arrived at 4:50 p.m. it said: we are fully booked. But there were a lot of free tables in the back area, all of which were supposedly reserved. And the waiter said several times that he was alone and couldn't do anything. What I find very strange, however, is that the couple who came after me apparently received different information. Because first she went in and then after a short while she waved her husband in. It's strange when the poor waiter was alone, but he handled the two of us as one person. It also takes less work. 🤔 In any case, people here try to earn as much as possible. 2 people just bring in more money. 🥴 Conclusion: As a single you have the A.card.😡"

The Twee Linden is clearly recommended to those visitors to Warnemünde who are looking for an excellent fish restaurant. In terms of price, of course in the segment of upscale, tourist-appealing gastronomy, the Twee Linden impresses with its very good service, delicious food and cozy ambience. My recommendation: the Warnemünder fish platter and a Staropramen Dark Lager from a half-liter bottle. Bon appetit!

Nice to sit on the terrace but the service is not attentive. The boiled potatoes with the fish taste like a cheap convenience food, not even tossed in butter to give them a bit of flavor. They are just about to fall apart and have no potato taste. The white wine sauce was too spicy and too viscous. The fish was okay. Too many bones on the fish platter. Price performance is quite expensive for what is offered.

It was a new experience for us. We've never had salmon au four before, it was just great. Staff very nice, thank you.
