Absolutely delicious! My husband and I were visiting Dresden for 2 days. We enjoyed our dinner so much on the first night, we came back again on our last night to enjoy their food once more before going home. The staff is very friendly as well. We recommend the mixed grill (especially the meat balls) and the yogurtlu patlican. The next time we are in Dresden, we wil definitely be back!

The spices were excellent, the salad delicious, and the bread simply divine. I would definitely go back. The meat portion was also very tasty. One thing that could be improved is the portion size of the rice and bulgur. But everything was truly top-notch. It's definitely in my top ten list.

I've been to Ocakbaşı Restaurant twice, and both times I had lentil soup. The first time, a woman brought me a side dish of lavash and salad. Yesterday, I went, I asked for the same soup with lentils, only to be served warmed bread. I didn't say anything. Five Germans sat at the table next to them, even though they hadn't ordered anything. They brought me lavash and salad. I can't help but think they're just picking on people. I've been there twice, and I won't go back. The prices are expensive anyway. I paid 30 euros both times, the first time for chicken shish lentil soup. The second time, I had lentils and ground meat pita. I won't go back again.

One of the best halal mixed grill platters I've ever eaten. The mixed grill platter for two was absolutely superb: the Adana ham, köfte, parsley, and chicken were all perfectly seasoned, tender, and bursting with flavor. Not every restaurant can prepare every type of meat this well—everything here was outstanding. The bread was incredibly fresh and delicious. The salad was perfectly balanced, not too acidic, just right. The ezme (a type of savory salad) was also excellent—that's something not everyone can do. The service was extremely courteous, friendly, and attentive. Add to that a lovely, cozy atmosphere where you immediately feel at ease. Overall, an excellent experience. I'll definitely be back when I'm in Dresden!

Okay, but the price-performance ratio isn't right.

Absolutely outrageous! I've rarely been so disappointed. For the price, you might get half a meal here – ridiculously small portions, yet the prices are like eating in a fancy restaurant. I seriously went to an Asian restaurant afterwards because I was still full – and there I finally got a proper full plate, cheaper and tastier to boot! The value for money here is a joke. Save yourself the trouble, eat somewhere else. I'm definitely never coming back!

Highly recommended – we'll definitely be back.

Even without a reservation, we had a table for 6 people for 1 hour. Fast, very tasty food, large complimentary appetizer!! Plenty of well-seasoned meat, lots of vegetables, and salad. Friendly service, reasonable prices! We'll definitely be back!

The food is good, but they don’t have payment by cards like Visa or Mastercard, this cost me 30 min walking to the hotel to bring them cash. I asked them to send someone with me to the Hotel to get the money, but they said they don’t have someone available

We were only there for breakfast, and I can't really recommend that. The bread served was just this kind of balloon bread/lavash, and that's not really suitable for jam and honey, maybe for dipping! See pictures. In any case, the price/performance ratio wasn't right for us.

I ordered breakfast twice and with breakfast came a pan with eggs and Turkish sausage, honey, jam, a couple of olives and cheese. They charged me 4 breakfasts, so it should have been 4 pans, then they charged me 2 more pans, so a total of 6 pans. We got 3 pans and paid 103 euros. When I asked them about it, the caraway Kurd said he had put 8 eggs in that one pan and that was very disrespectful and had no decency. A month ago I was there again and we ordered a grill plate including drinks for 4 people and paid 97 euros. That is a disgrace and absolutely NOT RECOMMENDED. YOU THINK YOU'RE IN CUMBERLAND. YOU KIDDING. I'll post a photo of the bill and the table, that's not normal, I'm happy to spend money on food but not more than 100 euros for breakfast, am I in Dubai or what?!!! YOU KIDDING.

Great food, I especially recommend the Turkish cheese pizza and the moussaka served with rice. The wait for the main course was shortened by the appetizer with fantastic sauces served by the restaurant. Highly recommended.

Nice restaurant, but their problem is that they take more than half an hour to bring the food, but it is fresh and delicious.

The worst meal I've ever had in a Turkish restaurant. I ordered güveç, and the vegetables and meat were extremely greasy; there was hardly any meat in them. My friend ordered kebab with yogurt, and the meat was really hard. And it was quite expensive. I won't be coming back.

The food was good to very good. The meat skewers were juicy and well-seasoned. The salads and creams were also good. However, the service was very slow or even nonexistent. While it's a good and inexpensive place to enjoy large meat platters with a group of people, the atmosphere and service make it rather difficult for a romantic dinner for two. All in all, though, this is still a recommended place for those who want to enjoy good Turkish cuisine.

We called and announced our arrival an hour in advance, and 57 people showed up. The food was very good quality, and the service and preparation were quick. The place was packed! Simply amazing!

The staff were friendly and the service was prompt, which I appreciated. Unfortunately, the mixed grill was extremely salty and ended up ruining the overall experience for me. I’ve never understood why some restaurants don’t leave the level of salt to the customer’s preference.

Excellent, freshly grilled food from the charcoal grill – the lamb on a spit variation was especially delicious! Very large portions, you'll be full just from the appetizer. Super friendly, child-friendly service. The only downside: the rice was unfortunately overcooked. Still, absolutely recommended!

We found the restaurant by chance. We were in Dresden and wanted to go out for dinner. It is highly recommended. The staff is quick and friendly, the portions are nice and big and the starter is a fluffy flatbread with two types of dips. Super tasty.

I came across this restaurant via Google during my stay in Dresden and wanted to see for myself the good reviews and it's an understatement to say that you can eat heavenly good here! The ambience is very nice with nice music in the background and the waitress and waiter are very nice! I came here for dinner three days in a row and will stop by again on my next stay! Overall a good grill plate 👍🏻 The meat is grilled on a lava stone grill and therefore has a nice grill aroma. The restaurant is not as big as the other branch in the old town, but it has a more cozy atmosphere. The service was fine. Reservation is recommended

This place has one of if not the most delicious turkish food in the whole region!! The interior there was so incredibly well done, the bathrooms were clean, the Staff was very friendly, Incredibly fast service. Just perfect! But only meh thing are the prices, but overall 10/10 restaurant!!

I live in Turkey. While traveling between Sweden and Austria by car, I tried the kelle paça, şiş tava, shepherd's salad and ayran menu at the Ocakbaşı restaurant, which I found by searching online in Dresden, which is on my route. They are simply wonderful. The staff is friendly, the environment is clean and the food is delicious. I added this place to my travel map. I strongly recommend it to those who pass by.

I was here for lunch today, it's icy outside and the wind is unpleasant, as soon as you enter the shop you feel a pleasant warmth. The Turkish lentil soup was excellent and there was enough bread. You feel welcome. I would love to come back soon. I particularly liked the adventure kitchen. You can see very clearly what is being done. You just have to be careful with the parking spaces on the street, the public order office is often on the move here!

The Menu is costly but food was good.

We went there because we saw a recommendation on YouTube. The starters were great, but the main courses weren't that great for us. We've had better experiences in other Turkish restaurants and wouldn't go there again. The service was lukewarm, we had to wait a long time for the drinks, and then we couldn't order any more later because no one came to the table, even though there wasn't much to do. One meal came wrong. Allergies were not taken into account, although they were pointed out beforehand. This was then easily remedied, but if someone has to wait for food, that's not so great. But the staff was friendly. The toilets were a disaster, broken and soooo dirty. If I had been in the toilet at the beginning, I probably wouldn't have eaten anything in this place. All in all it was okay, but nothing special and we didn't think the price-performance ratio was good.

We ate here on a Saturday at 6 p.m. Luckily we had a reservation because it was already really full at that time. Apparently a reservation is only valid for a certain time, but we were informed that we could stay until 8:30 p.m., i.e. 2.5 hours - but in our case it was easily enough. In terms of atmosphere, I have to say that there are certainly more comfortable locations, it was relatively narrow and also quite loud and bustling. The order was definitely taken quickly and as a small starter there was flatbread with 2 dips and a bowl of salad each on the house. That was a nice surprise and really bridged the time until the main course, although it actually went pretty quickly. We had the grill plate for 2, which was more than enough in terms of quantity. The meat tasted great and was also tender, but it could have been a little hotter. The side dishes (bulgur and rice) weren't really hot either, rather lukewarm. But generally we enjoyed it very much. It was then cleared away quickly and payment was made immediately. Unfortunately, you had the feeling of being pushed. Perhaps understandable, because when we left the restaurant there were already a few new guests at the entrance and our table was practically already occupied when we were still getting dressed. Conclusion: The food was good, just a bit cold, the atmosphere a bit hectic - but it was still a nice evening.

The food is normal, there are vegetarian positions. One of the dishes had hair in it, but that's not even 3 stars. And for the fact that everything is very slow. Yes, there were a lot of people and people were standing and waiting for a table, but in order for them to sit down, other tables have to be vacated, meanwhile we asked for the bill three times, waited for it for a total of 30 minutes and already started to be late for our business, this is not ok at all. It's ok to wait an hour for food when the cafe is full, but to wait half an hour for bill is too much

This place is amazing! It’s a very nice decor and beautiful place that looks like a real good Turkish restaurant. The staff welcomes you right away and is very friendly and accommodating. The food is very delicious. We tested it twice. First we had grilled veggies skewer and a lentil soup. I never had such flavorful veggies without oil. Also, it came with an appetizer with a dip and bread from the oven. Simple but amazing. As desert we had something warm with phyllo dough and pistachios. Incredible. Second time we tried their chicken skewer and köfte. It was delicious as expected by then. We also tried their künefe. I haven’t had such a künefe in a while. No gooey mozzarella cheese and not overly sweet. Just perfect. Needless to say that we waited a bit longer to get a second serving. A must visit for fans of true Turkish cuisine.

Since I was the only person in an empty restaurant, they gave me a table in the middle. You've never seen such a disgusting moussaka in my life, and I've never eaten it anyway. At least take it off the menu so people won't be disappointed.
