I recently ordered 2 kebabs here, one with veal and one with chicken. The waiting time was average, it was very busy but it was relatively quick. Now to the kebab itself. Actually, this shop was just an emergency option for us, we originally wanted to go to probably the most hyped kebab in Germany, almost right next door, but the queue was far too long and we would have missed our train. That's why we went to Tunnel Döner, I had an extremely uneasy feeling based on the reviews, but it turned out completely differently. First of all, homemade, delicious bread (tasted like pizza roll dough), sensible layered meat and not a simple minced skewer, fresh salad and sauces, plus the size of the kebab (in Berlin this would easily pass for a big kebab) and all for "just" 6.90€, for a kebab at the Hamburg main station that's extremely clear, especially since I thought Hamburg would be rather expensive. As a Berliner, I am of course spoiled by kebabs and I have only eaten very few that were not prepared in Berlin style. That's why I really missed the Berlin sauces (herbs and garlic) and since cocktail sauce in kebab is a crime for me, the tzatziki sauce had to be used. Of course, the kebab tasted completely different than comparable ones in Berlin, but definitely tasty and actually healthier. Overall, we were really positively surprised by the shop and I would definitely order a kebab here again (on my next visit to Hamburg) to eat on the train. Since there is no real garlic sauce here, you don't stink up everything ;-).

Horrible salty food and unfriendly impolite staff. The food was too salty and I asked them to give me another one and they refused and told me I have to suffer from their mistake. A report to the Gesundheitamt is on its way!

Unfortunately I didn't get to eat it to test it. I stood in front of the counter, the man sitting on his chair on the left looked at me several times and simply ignored me. He didn't even make an effort to make a gesture to me that he would be there soon or that he was busy. Simply coldly ignored.

If you're hungry, you'll definitely get your money's worth. €6.90 for kebab in bread is absolutely fair, for a decent amount of meat and quality. The bread was also something different, tasted fresh, not too puffy, slightly sweet. Sauces in taste and selection great. All around delicious kebab! Card payment possible, service very nice. Gladly again at any time.

The filling was also unsatisfactory and didn't hold what I expected. For the price I expect at least reasonable quality. It seems as if they are trying to deceive customers with a large portion without actually delivering good quality. Please consider your ingredients and make sure the quality matches the price.

The worst kebab I've ever eaten. The guy was also rude.

There were two of us there. The seller asked if we wanted veal or chicken, we had never had a choice before. We decided on 1 kebab and 1 dürum with chicken to take away. Plenty of meat (well seasoned), crunchy vegetables and lots of sauce, delicious 😋 It was so full that we were able to eat two of our dishes. Definitely again when I'm there again. The only drawback is that there is no seating, so no rating for Ambiete is possible.

I’m not sure why such an overall low rating. Maybe because it’s probably highly trafficked. I had the Lehmucun w salad. Very good and cheap and a lighter option than döner but just about as big. I specifically chose this place because it was easy to approach and that’s a huge compliment.

At 12:00 I got a chicken dürüm. Unfortunately, after a few bites I realized that the meat inside was completely raw, red and wobbly. For this reason I had to throw away the Dürüm immediately. Such an experience is not only disappointing, but also dangerous to your health.

Pomm kebab box was delicious and filling. Very quick service, 10 minutes transfer time was enough. The location is of course not a feast for the eyes but what should you expect from a passage.

Tunnel kebab - the name seems to say it all. Dark, underground, creepy. You did it. This was by far the worst Dürüm kebab of our lives. My son threw the Dürüm in the trash after 2 bites. The tzatziki must have had a bite, it tasted cheesy and sour. The flatbread was oily and also tasted strange. The hot sauce tasted like a ready-made Asian sauce. Do you actually try your own food? Apparently not. We almost got it out again. Never again… Staff was nice, but that doesn't help anymore.

Once one of the best kebabs in the city, now just ok. But at the main train station, there are always customers here. At least a highlight for the eye; the kebab is cut with the device.

Unfortunately only two stars in the falafel sky. The falafel balls are not bad, not to mention convincing in terms of taste. The rest, however, is more like a loveless compilation of classic kebab components (tomato, white cabbage, onions, nothing more) in a bread ship that unfortunately falls apart when eating due to the very generously distributed sauce and ends in a complete disaster. #ZerfledderterDönerImZug... We really enjoy eating kebab and we have often been satisfied here too. Unfortunately, the quality has deteriorated extremely even when we gave it a second chance. Only the operator understands that mixed meat costs extra, but given the prices it would still be manageable if the meat was of good quality. But it's not. Lots of gristle, totally over-seasoned and dry. So a lot of sauce to hide the whole thing, which unfortunately doesn't taste that great anymore. The service is totally stressed. It's just not fun anymore and we'll look for another store. The shop used to be good, but now it has slipped into the top 10 worst kebabs.

Just no. My companion and I arrived at the main station completely hungry after attending a concert and were happy to be able to have some warm food. Conclusion: We should have taken a look at the online review. This is probably one of the top 3 worst kebabs I have ever eaten. The bread was rubbery, the meat was dry, and the distribution of components in the bread was, shall we say, interesting. The staff was stressed, which is completely legitimate at this time of day and after a long day at work... BUT despite repeated repetitions, the correct order was not served. That was an experience that will go down in my memories

Simply completely disrespectful. First they obviously deliberately ignored a dark-skinned woman who had been waiting next to us for a long time and therefore only noticed and reluctantly served her when something was said. Then I was insulted in a sexist way: "Why wouldn't I rather cook for my husband today..." then people made fun of what kind of person my husband was and that we pay separately..... The first time I walked into the Tunnel Döner kebab shop, it felt like I had entered the kebab capital of the world. The portions here are so huge that even Hulk would give up after just one kebab. I'm not exaggerating - it was an avalanche of meat on a flatbread! The highlight of my visit, however, was "the device" - the state-of-the-art, precision-controlled machine for cutting the meat. It was like I was in a futuristic kebab opera with the device as the conductor conducting the meat symphony. A real feast for the eyes and believe me, I enjoyed every second. The taste? Heavenly! The meat was so tender that it literally melted in your mouth, and the sauce combination was perfect. I felt like a gourmet enjoying the best fast food in the world. The amount of flesh was so overwhelming that I wondered if I might have an invisible blackhead on my side. Conclusion: If you haven't visited Tunnel Döner yet, you've definitely missed something. Huge portions, the device in action and a taste experience that is second to none.

Do you want diarrhea and vomiting to the worst? This kebab transports you to a completely different dimension and not a good one, my kebab lovers. This disgusting thing, which the owner calls a kebab, is not an edible or digestible meal! It is only intended to fill the stomach. The taste tortured and paralyzed my taste buds to the core, especially since the dosage and quality are indescribably disastrous. The staff is extremely impatient and shouts, presumably to lure the rats to the meat processing. The staff also crack unnecessary jokes and try to lighten the mood. In addition, hot sauce l poured one by one to bury their entire sense of taste once and for all. So the consumption is not there to be eaten, but to put you to the test. Do I regret the visit? Definitely. Is the rat meat comparatively high quality? Yes

Even this one star doesn't do justice to this disgusting thing that is called "doner kebab in bread" - it doesn't describe the disgust I felt while eating the kebab. Never, really never, has a kebab tasted and smelled so mangy of rats. I say kebab without spicy without onions and they throw in more onions than kebab and spicy on top. To the right of the kebab was a thin dish and to the left was just sauce. My toilet will easily explode later.

Since the kebab was eaten at four o'clock at night and not completely sober, the test is unfortunately not entirely objective. But what I can say with certainty is that you will NOT get a bad kebab here. The price of €6.90 is totally appropriate these days. But you get a decent amount of meat in an almost oval bread. It was almost a little too crispy due to the late time, but it still tasted good. The sauces were totally fine and the hot sauce pops well! I didn't have any stomach problems the next day, as some people have reported here.

At first glance it looks a little sketchy, especially given the reviews. However, I can't understand the bad reviews at all. The kebab box was quite large, completely fine for €6.70, and tasted great. The hot sauce is very good and quite spicy :) Service is very friendly and food is ready quickly.

This shop at the Rathaus is the best food I’ve ever had, I cannot recommend it more, the service is extremely quick and the guy constantly makes jokes and laughs with you, the food is cheap (a massive pomm dönner box filled with chips salad and meat filled to the brim almost overflowing for only €6) and the flavour is amazing with so much sauce and juicy beef. If you go to one place in Hamburg go to the Rathaus Tunnel Döner

Firstly, incredible taste. The doner is fresh, thinly cut and absolutely delicious. To add to the taste, you get the fast preparation time and the cheap cost. And you can eat with a view of the Rathaus which is probably the most beautiful building in Hamburg. What more could you genuinely want? As a Turkish person I would 100% recommend. Better döner dürüm than most restaurants in Turkey itself. Absolutely class, friendly and fast service, incredible food - a must try if you’re coming to Hamburg!

Digga, I was eating there with 2 friends. One has chills and has puked 4 times, the other is currently screaming and has puked 3 times. I'm sitting in bed and I feel nauseous. The two friends didn't even eat half the kebab. Not recommended Update: Me and my friends stopped counting when we vomited 7 times and unfortunately had food poisoning too late to report it and didn't get a receipt

Hey, the store used to be so cool and just as I was there the salesman tried to tease me, which was funny at first. But when he completely messed up my order and I pointed it out to him, he was pretty angry and one of my kebab boxes was completely cold. The Gözleme are a dream. Absolutely recommended, the service is always nice and the prices are more than fair. All Turkish baked goods are made fresh on site.

What’s up with these bad reviews? Makes no sense. I just received an amazing Döner box. I paid 6,70 for a Döner box that was filled to the edge with the box open. Not only was the portion generous, but the food was amazing as well. The sauces were great, the yellow sauce was fresh and tasty. Their chili was nice and the white sauce was also very tasty. All three were definitely homemade. The box had fresh lettuce, tomato, cabbage and cucumber. The meat was amazing! Paper thin cut, very tender, large amount and had a fatty and nutty flavor. Some pieces even had crispy caramelized edges, I mean how does this place have a 2.6 rating? The fries were all crispy. All of them. Even the ones in the bottom. Usually when you get Döner boxes the fries in the bottom are soggy when you get that far, not in this case. They opted for thin fries and I think they give them a bit extra time so they can maintain the crispyness throughout your meal. I would’ve loved to try their breads too because that also looked very nice. Honestly I have no idea about these bad reviews. Only negative thing was salt. The fries and the meat needed some salt, they could take it to the next level if they salted everything while assembling the box. In general it was a bit underseasoned, but that’s abou it.

Meine Erfahrung im Döner Tunnel war bedauerlicherweise nicht zufriedenstellend, und daher vergebe ich nur einen Stern. Die Pommes wiesen erhebliche Mängel auf, da sie größtenteils nicht durchgegart waren, und einige sogar roh serviert wurden. Dies deutet auf Qualitätsprobleme in der Zubereitung hin. Die Hygiene im in der Dönerbude schien mangelhaft zu sein, und der Service erwies sich als katastrophal. Die Unzufriedenheit mit meiner Mahlzeit und dem insgesamt nachlässigen Eindruck des Betriebs hinterlassen den Wunsch nach deutlichen Verbesserungen in Bezug auf Speisequalität, Hygiene und Kundenservice.
