Possibly the best truffle pasta I have ever eaten. Really very very tasty. The portions are not very large, but the quality is good, which justifies the price. The service was above average for Munich standards.

The friendliest and most open-minded waiters in probably all of Munich work here. The dishes from the daily menu can be more expensive, but are particularly recommended. And if you like a clean, calm, modern atmosphere, this is the right place for you.

I love going to True Romance and we weren't disappointed this time either! Very attentive service, top food. Yes, the portions are rather small, but you can still share a starter or a dessert. Always a nice place to go for us.

Very clean atmosphere, the service is good and always makes sure the glasses are refilled. The food is also very, very tasty, but for the price some portions are really very small (I was lucky with my truffle pasta, it was technically perfect).

Authentic Italian flair... but only in the sense that the last time I felt so ripped off was when I paid 27 euros for an espresso in Rome. Deep-fried lump of dough with tomato sauce and a bit of mozzarella (I get it better at any Wimmer bakery) + 2 small bottled beers: €30. Really now? With all understanding for rising personnel / rental / material costs, these are mafia-like conditions. Even the Ndrangheta would be ashamed.

Yesterday I went to True Romance with my girlfriend and we had a very nice evening. We stopped by spontaneously and still got a table :) The dishes were recommended to us by a very attentive and authentic waitress and we didn't regret it at all! The atmosphere is very cozy. We'll definitely be back!!

Unfortunately I was a bit disappointed. The service itself was great (it wasn't busy, but it's still worth mentioning) but the portions are really tiny and way too expensive (tasted okay). The prices don't match the ambience (which is rather cool and not upscale) and the toilets really weren't great. Overall, just way too expensive for the experience/food. I wouldn't recommend it...

The pizza trio as a starter and the pasta with braised beef were really delicious. The dessert was nicely presented, but fell a bit short compared to the main courses. The service is very warm. We can highly recommend a visit.

Don't! You can really save money. We came here based on the positive reviews and it wasn't true at all. It was so disappointing. Portions are far too small, some are still cold and not seasoned, depending on what you order, it isn't even nicely presented, no bread for starters, poor service (very intrusive, rude and condescending) and for all that, very expensive. There are definitely better ones out there. Above all, please be careful if you are asked if you want a water bottle with your meal, it will be expensive. Otherwise, I liked the location and the furnishings. That's why there are two stars.

First impression: really cool atmosphere, friendly service and really tasty food - very lemony lemon pasta with perfectly cooked noodles and a fried pizza that you should try. In summer there is also plenty of space outside.

If I pay €10 for wine and €7.5 for water, I can at least expect friendly service. But that doesn't seem possible here.

A joke, it has nothing to do with a restaurant. "Olive oil" is more like rapeseed or sunflower oil (that's not possible), homemade bread is like the simplest white bread, service - as if they'd rather have another job, music too loud, tables too close to each other. We didn't like anything.

We celebrated our civil wedding in the evening with family. Andreas and his team provided us with super delicious food and responded very flexibly to our wishes. We felt very comfortable, thank you very much!

A stylish and beautifully decorated shop, with super friendly staff and even better food! Definitely worth a visit...we'll be coming regularly from now on.

We didn't have a good experience here, mainly because of the service. Waited a long time until someone saw that we were there. Then the question is whether the empty glasses on the table are ours? Well, maybe it was just a shift change. When we asked the second time about the drinks we ordered, the counter question was “Haven’t you gotten them yet?” - doesn't show professionalism either. The next time we tried to draw attention to us by waving, we only waved back. You might find it funny, but I personally don't think it's good service. I'm in the restaurant and not in the comedy club. But apparently opinions differed on this question: when ordering two glasses of Prosecco, the counter question was "Just glasses or also Prosecco?" Oh well. We then paid at the bar because the waiter was probably on tour. With Mario Barth I would estimate. Ambience two stars because the music (old school hip hop, you have to like it in the restaurant) was very loud. Food one star because the white wine was good but at room temperature. We didn't eat.

We made a reservation for 6.30pm on a Friday and were shown to our table very nicely. We had pasta with raggou, pasta with veal and Norma Parmiggiana. The drinks and food arrived quickly. All portions were tasty but small and unfortunately not filling. The pasta had 2 small pieces of meat. The Parmiggiana Norma was with a normal (pureed) tomato sauce, unfortunately not cooked down and unseasoned and nothing special. We don't have to come here again.

True Romance ist wenn die Kellnerin sich stundenlang um einen Hund der Gäste kümmert und dann dein Essen ohne Hände zu Waschen serviert . So etwas sollte auch mal das Ordnungsamt kontrollieren. Danke. Nie wieder .

Insta vs Reality: Hyped on Insta - unfortunately only beautifully photographed in reality. Despite a reservation, we waited 15 minutes for the table, another 15 minutes for the menu and probably 10 minutes for the order. You just want to leave and take your money somewhere else. The food: yessss - small portions for big money. They were very generous with the oil. The pasta was the size of an appetizer. The music was very loud and it was almost impossible to have a conversation with the other person. The Moscow Mule, on the other hand, was very good! But at 15 euros it's too expensive to drink it all! Unfortunately our romance ends and there is no second date with us...

We spontaneously wanted a table for three and there was one free outside, were rudely sent away because the table was reserved - we then went to eat right next door and noticed that the table remained free the whole time...

Very good pasta, starters and drinks. Small menu but a little more unusual than the typical Italian. Service was very friendly, we just sometimes had to wait longer until someone came over. The atmosphere is modern and stylish.

I had the fried pizza. It was very oily and the tomato sauce was acidic with very little cheese on it. The waitress was rude for no reason. The place has potential. I hope they step it up..

Unfortunately, the True Romance couldn't convince us. The Pizza Fritta has little in common with a Neapolitan Pizza Fritta. It would be more appropriate to speak of a occupied Langos. The tiramisu was tasty, but the portion size was very manageable.

I am really disappointed with my visit to this restaurant. We had reserved a table in advance and clarified everything with an employee named Andreas. We even had screenshots as proof. However, when we arrived there was no reservation in my name. This meant that we had to wait over half an hour, even though there were eight of us. When we finally sat at our table, no one came to take our order for 45 minutes. I had to go in myself and ask for someone to come to us - that's just unacceptable. Unfortunately, the waitress who finally came to us was also very inattentive and slow. We waited another 45 minutes for the starters and then another 30 minutes for the main courses. The entire experience was frustrating and disappointing. To make matters worse, no one contacted me to explain why the reservation didn't work. This is really outrageous. And we didn't get a single apology for it all evening. Unfortunately I cannot recommend this restaurant.

This is my third visit to True Romance and I can't stop thinking about the food. In my opinion the best Italian in Munich.

Proprietario napoletano cordiale, personale gentile. Arancini nella media anche se poco consistenti nella forma, parmigiana di melanzane buona, spaghetti a vongole scipiti, genovese purtroppo non è piaciuta, spaghetti al pomodoro buoni. Per essere in Germania abbiamo trovato un pizzico d' Italia.

The food is beautifully prepared and there is something for everyone. The restaurant has a nice feel with a mix of chic and industrial design. The waiters are all very friendly and the atmosphere invites you to sit for longer :)

I absolutely love this place. The food takes you back to Italy. The staff is very friendly and the service is very relaxed. I think it's the only place in Munich that offers fried dough pizzas and other native Italian delicacies like arancini and panzeroti.

Unfortunately, the service is very inattentive and we sat in front of our used plates for ages - we preferred to chat with friends. The online menu is not up to date and the prices are higher locally. The food is ok, but not good. Pizza too dry, Frittura too limp and Pasta Vongole with 10 mussels is outrageously expensive. A pity!

A very nice hotel complex. The rooms and the gardens are traditionally furnished and very well maintained. The restaurant is good and cheap and, above all, in a quiet location.

We were really excited. We were greeted so warmly, had a beautiful space and the service was super nice. As a starter we traditionally had fresh, warm bread with olive oil, salt and pepper. The aperol was the best I've had so far in Munich. The arrancini with truffles and liquid cheese core were our absolute highlight - a taste explosion! The fried pizza with Parma ham was to die for, as was the baked eggplant. Of particular note was the free very generous offerings of parmesan. All in all, absolutely recommended!

Went for a beer at the bar in the restaurant. After I asked if there was also freshly tapped beer, I was probably down with my Italian colleagues. I was ignored and the regulars at the bar made fun of me in Italian. Conclusion: arrogant & unhospitable. A pity

This is one of the best places I've ever visited, top quality 1 to 1 identical to Napoli, so I'm often in Italy and I have the best comparison.

We had a really nice evening, delicious food; it was incredibly delicious. We recommend ALL starters, fritta pizza so velvety soft and delicious, the bread with olive oil, a dream The service was friendly, prompt and very committed. Pure enthusiasm

It was okay, nothing special. Fritto Misto quite a small portion for the price, fried pizza rather bland, spaghetti tossed in a lot of butter. Service was nice but pretty absent. Very loud. Overall I wouldn't recommend it now.

Everything really fits here! Not the standard Italian food, but also some things that you can't get everywhere. Be sure to try a lot of antipasti, they are all delicious without exception. The service this evening gets 5.5 stars. It's great when someone loves their job! The location is coolly decorated. The ambience gets 4 stars. Why? The table in front of the toilets is not that great (a bit of work needs to be done in the toilets too 😉) and unfortunately it is very loud. RECOMMENDED!!!

The menu doesn't offer much choice for vegetarians. The atmosphere is not very inviting and I definitely wouldn't call it true romantic. The waiter was very friendly. I wouldn't go there again.

YUMMY! That's how a good review should start, right? We treated ourselves to several starters and shared them all at the table. Long-cooked tomato sauce with fresh herbs is a real treat for the palate. Everything was just so delicious. Fried pizza sounds strange at first, but the taste is unique and really delicious. The staff is very friendly, gives good advice and also likes to joke. It was fun all around. We just didn't try the desserts. Next time I'd be happy!

Service freundlich. Die Vorspeise Pizza Buffala als Vorspeise kam kalt. Danach lange Wartezeit.. 2.Gang Gnocchi Sortentina lecke. Die Paccheri Ragu war die Pasta Al dente aber kalt. Das Ragu müsste man suchen. Zum Abschluss 2 Espressi bestellt, die nicht gut sind und auch nicht besonders heiß.
