Treza Mediterraner Genuss in Trier

The ambiance is quite nice. Due to the rain, it wasn't busy. However, the staff were either tired or bored. There was little attention. A smile was missing. - Too bad. We couldn't complain about the food. However, we think the selection of meat dishes is very limited. A mixed grilled platter would be great, for example. I prefer tapas at a Spanish restaurant and pasta at an Italian restaurant. Unfortunately, we won't be coming back because we really missed the warmth. Nevertheless, we wish you continued success.

The service wasn't very courteous or friendly from the start. We ordered and then waited for over an hour. Upon further inquiry, we found that the order had never been placed and that we should have called sooner. We were given one excuse after another without ever hearing an apology. In the end, the food arrived fairly quickly and was, on average, mediocre to disappointing. We paid full price and won't waste our time or money here again.

Unfortunately we were lucky enough to sit down for lunch.... It's a shame and unfair to charge 22-25€ per portion and not eat...and to say that I was alone.... 13 people in a group... Shame.

Actually quite nice. The ambiance was absolutely appealing... however, it was quite busy and the staff were pretty much at their limit. As a result, out of four meals, only one was truly good. The attentiveness and, unfortunately, the friendliness of the service staff doesn't warrant a better rating...

We were really looking forward to eating at the Greek restaurant and also loved the atmosphere. We were greeted and served nicely. But then, unfortunately, we had to wait a very long time for the food. The meat was very dry and the tzatziki was very bland. I've never had better. Then we wanted to pay, and the staff couldn't agree on where or how. Please go in, then don't. Back and forth. Not customer-friendly!!! A shame

Some interesting wines. Average service. Salade fresca for 17 euros = green salad, 1 avocado, 4 mozzarella balls, 3 cucumber peels, 3 frozen raspberries, and a ton of supermarket white sauce. Seafood salad for 21 euros = 1 small, overly salty salmon fillet, a green salad, and 3 cucumber peels, no sauce. Bill paid against our will, but since we don't speak German, it's impossible to communicate, so we're forced to go that way. Reconsider your salads; it's indecent. We call it theft. Good luck!

The food was okay in terms of quantity. Unfortunately, the quality wasn't particularly high! The minced meat was fried in herb butter and was accordingly very greasy. Unfortunately, the gyros was also particularly high quality. Overall, a shame.

Despite a reservation, we (3 people) were only unfriendly and reluctantly assigned one of many free tables. We were given the food and drink menus, but no one spoke to us for about 15 minutes afterwards. Many dishes contained preservatives to which my wife is unfortunately allergic. This is not compatible with a restaurant with its own high standards. Very unfortunate. We were looking forward to some good Greek cuisine. But that was a zero number.

I ate here a few weeks ago and I really liked it and the food was very good. When I was there again today I shared a meal with a friend and the portion was only half the size. It was delicious but to remove half the food in a period of 4 weeks is a disgrace.

I do not recommendat this restaurant with this extremely poor service [kindness of staff and time to serve]. The staff seems to be in conflict because they do not communicate to each others. After 35min, I had to ask them to take note of our order, we were forgotten [on google I could read "less busy than usually]. They forgot our starter, and the staff got angry with us two because we let them know. They served the plates extremely unpolitely. We finally agreed to eat them [I dont want to throw food away] and did not see the waiters anymore. Escape... Also good to know : none of the staff speaks English basics.

I was very disappointed with the food. Unfortunately I can't recommend it. I left almost the full plate. The meat was unseasoned and the fries only tasted like salt. I just wanted to leave. They didn't even ask when I paid, otherwise I would have liked to have said it in person. They have probably forgotten how to speak.

Finally a Greek that serves fresh, authentic meze. My husband and I are Greek and are super surprised by the Treza. Ambiance wonderful service great and very clean there. The restaurant is in the back yard, food like giagia (grandma) in Greece. Above all, a huge selection! Absolute recommendation!

I had dinner there with my family one day. We were pleasantly surprised by the ambience, it was modern, spacious, with high ceilings, and yet cozy. The waitresses were very friendly and accommodating. The food tasted really good and the meat, for example, was cooked to perfection. If you like combining modern cuisine with Greek flair, you should definitely visit this restaurant. Nice large plates (even warmed up), food very tastefully prepared, and still generous portions. The price-performance ratio is right. We can fully recommend the restaurant.

Rarely get such bad service for so much money. I ordered a cola and was served a stale, non-carbonated one. I then politely asked if they could bring me a new one. The man brings me a new one, puts it down without saying anything and guess what, it was still a stale cola. Well, at least the food only tasted slightly burnt. 😅 I will never eat here again.

A very good address for a well-kept and delicious meal in Trier! We were at Treza yesterday and were very excited to see what awaited us there. Since we stayed at the Ibis across the street, it made sense to stop there. We were initially a bit skeptical due to the mixed reviews, but since we like to form our own opinions, we gave it a try. Our expectations were definitely exceeded. There is no criticism whatsoever regarding the Treza. The ambience is very nice and tasteful, the service attentive and friendly and most importantly, the food was simply delicious! The food was very freshly prepared, the presentation of the plates was very appealing and the taste was a culinary delight. We give it full marks and are glad we didn't listen to some of the reviews, otherwise we would have missed something.

We ended up there by chance, beautiful place, luckily we were there early in the afternoon because it can get very busy. Very friendly service, food was also very tasty, but a bit too dry or grilled too long in our opinion, but tastes differ. I ordered the grill mix and it was perfect for me (steak was medium rare, chicken fillet perfectly grilled and so was the lamb crown). Another person from our party had the black angus steak also medium rare, the owner came twice to ask if the steak was not good. We had to put it on the grill again, which we kindly declined considering we wanted to eat as tired as possible. The gyros and home-made tzatziki were also very tasty, as were the fries, which were fried to a perfect golden brown crisp (we still wonder if they were fried in animal fat or oil). Definitely recommended.

There were only 3 tables occupied. Total number of guests including me 7. Service staff was only behind the counter. Kindness was a misplaced place. Empty plates were not cleared until 20 minutes after the meal. It would only be cleared away shortly before paying. Food was OK. But please not there again.

Unfortunately, there was too much on the starter platter that was definitely not Greek, e.g. Vitello tonnato, beetroot, sardines.. 🤔. One main course was gyros, souflaki and fries: the meat was very dry, the souflaki skewer remained completely lying down, the waiter obviously didn't care about our comment... 2nd main course: dumplings filled with feta and spinach: also very dry and simple Served with a spoonful of creme fraîche... plus a scampi pan: 3!!!! Scampis for around 11 euros... once and never again. It's a shame for the beautiful location

The service is terribly bad and unfriendly! Non-verbal conversation, nodding is sufficient! I'll never understand why the restaurant business has become so bad again! (generally) Is it the customers, the untrained staff, the boss? Unfortunately for us, not a second time! Too bad……

We stayed in the hotel opposite and that's how we became aware of the "Treza". We enjoyed a very tasty and rich meal in a lovely atmosphere and were served quickly and friendly. We would eat here again!

Condition could be friendlier. Ambience and staff not Greek. Well, the food. Plate was very full. Souvlaki delicious. I can't believe the dry gyros, fresh off the skewer. There is room for improvement when it comes to fries. The first Greek restaurant where there is no small salad in front of it. Sure I could have ordered one extra, but the meal was already quite expensive at 17.50 euros. If you're expecting an ouzo, feel free to order it. We were hungry and full, but we don't think it's worth a second visit.

Food was great. Unfortunately we didn't always get what we ordered. Boss was angry because we wanted a different place than he wanted to assign us. Went back to the restaurant after 11 months. Again we didn't get what we ordered and the boss was still grumpy. Good taste. But price-performance has deteriorated greatly. It was definitely the last time there.

We ordered gyros, souflaki and fries, there was no salad with it, much too dry. We ordered grilled vegetables with it, that was a joke. A slice of eggplant, 1 slice of zucchini, 1 mushroom, 1 slice of red onion, 1 slice of pepper. Waiters weren't attentive. We left half on the plate. But no one seemed to be interested. We cannot recommend this restaurant. Too bad

Bad as hell!!! Fresh fish from the market - absolutely ridiculous!! They said it was cod - but it was only frozen pollock!!!!! Vegetables - every cook, no matter how bad, can do it better - loveless and and... The crowning glory is the boss - he slammed a tea light onto the table and wasn't in the mood - he didn't even see that the drinks glasses were empty. See you soon for another closed restaurant Bah!!!!

We were there, first of all, you either like the food or you just don't say anything, the "boss" isn't interested anyway. My meal is "short rips", nothing with rips just one. The masala sauce, without masala! The coarse puree was not fresh. Otherwise creative dishes, but for me there is no second time there.

Not recommendable. Unfriendly, arrogant service. Unfortunately, the food is not anywhere near the standard of the Greek restaurants I know. The meat was burnt and dry as straw. The tzatziki was more of a quark dish than what it was supposed to be. We weren't even offered the traditional ouzo. Too bad, it wasn't worth the money.

Wir hatten Gyros mit Souvlaki, dazu Pommes und Tzatziki. Das Fleisch war trocken, viel zu durchgebraten und merkwürdig gewürzt. Die Pommes geschmacklos und trocken. Der Tzatziki war kein Tzatziki, grauenvoll. Hier fehlte der typische Joghurt, der Knoblauch und die Gurke, stattdessen eine undefinierbare Sosse. Das Ambiente ist schön, macht aber das schlechte Essen nicht wett. Für uns wird es kein zweites Mal geben.

Unfortunately my mousaka was cold. After complaining, a new one came quickly. This too was cold again in the middle. But this time no one asked if everything was OK. A pity.

Das Essen war außerordentlich lecker. Genau mein Geschmack 👍 Der Service war leider das Gegenteil. Warum geht man sehendes Blickes an meinem leeren Glas vorbei und fragt nicht nach einem neuen Getränk. Ok kann ein mal passieren, aber 5 mal in 15 Minuten?! Und voll war der Laden zu dem Zeitpunkt nicht. Auch ein Lächeln wäre schön gewesen. Habe mich nicht willkommen gefühlt. Schade.

Nice ambience yes, great location. Apart from the name, nothing here is Greek. Souflaki, Bifteki Gyros, poor quality. No typical spices, no Greek service. We also all ate separately. Many drinks would be forgotten.

Visited this restaurant today. The service hardly talks and friendliness is hard to find. I don't think hospitality is a word they know, but I certainly don't experience it. We order a few drinks and a main course, which is served after 15-20 minutes. Unfortunately we got cold cuts (3x gyros with souvlaki) and therefore sent it back to the kitchen. I don't hear an apology, the beers are taken away and new ones are served to us pretty quickly. It's okay. The fries have an unnaturally crispy layer, a bit artificial. Meat is OK, but not great or anything. I think we were lucky today.

Good location but very poor service. We had a cockroach in the food, went politely (and discreetly) to the manager for replacement, and he comes howling outside saying it’s not his fault, and asks us to pay in full. We agreed for 50% just for my cockroach dish but honestly what an arrogant behaviour. Restaurants like these today show no manners and humble behaviour have no etiquettes to treat guests the management should be changed!!

I have no idea why “only” 4 stars are given as an overall rating here. In any case, for us it was the best restaurant in a long time and gets a whopping 5 stars, which I almost never give. We have been there several times because the food is simply great. It's worth listening to the boss's recommendations! Super tasty and fresh fish. Personally, the ambience doesn't really appeal to me, it could be improved.

We came across this restaurant more or less by chance while looking for a delicious meal, which is picturesquely located in a courtyard in the center of Trier's historic old town. We were very positively surprised, not only by the ambience, but also by the delicious food, the very friendly and attentive service and, last but not least, the size of the portions. I found the red wines on the menu a bit expensive (I treated myself to one anyway). Only at second glance did I see that there was also a dry red house wine for half the price. It wasn't actually quite as good as the first one, but I would have liked it without the comparison. So, the visit is worth it.

We are very happy with the food... It was very tasty, will definitely come back.

We are fans of the Greek restaurant. The food is fabulous! We have tried several dishes now and each one tasted very good! The restaurant is large and the decoration and furnishings take you away for a short summer vacation. Somehow the same waiter always works there :D who always serves us friendly and a schnapps at the end ;)

Schönes Ambiente und leckeres Essen. Wir hatten Calamaris sowie eine Olivencreme mit Brot zur Vorspeise und Spieße vom Grill als Hauptspeise. Es war außerordentlich lecker! Wir haben das Restaurant mittlerweile schon oft weiter empfohlen, allerdings hat wohl nicht jeder so viel Glück mit den Speisen, wie wir bisher gehört haben. Aber wir waren an unserem Abend sehr positiv überrascht. Preise sind auch fair. Einen Punkt Abzug gibt es für den etwas mürrischen Service.

We stayed at Treza by chance and were very impressed. The atmosphere is a great mix of modern and yet cozy. The food was prepared to perfection and tasted very good. Portion size was plenty. The service was also absolutely top. If we visit Trier again, we will definitely come back!

So we were really happy. The food was very tasty! You could taste the good quality here. It might have been a little warmer (hotter), but otherwise everything was great. The staff was very friendly. Were always there without being intrusive. If we are in Trier again, we will come back.

We were there with six people. Unfortunately my starter was forgotten. Can happen. Then came later. Was also delicious. Unfortunately my main course was forgotten again. Not my day. It then took 10 minutes to finish. But then he stood at the counter for another 10 minutes. The others had now finished eating. Then I didn't feel like it anymore. There wasn't even an apology. Wir waren mit sechs Personen dort. Leider wurde meine Vorspeise vergessen. Kann passieren. Kam dann später. War auch lecker. Leider wurde mein Hauptgang dann wieder vergessen. Nicht mein Tag. Dauerte dann 10 Minuten bis er fertig war. Dann stand er allerdings weitere 10 Minuten an der Ausgabe. Die anderen waren inzwischen mit essen fertig. Da hatte ich dann auch keine Lust mehr. Es gab noch nicht einmal eine Entschuldigung. Schade.

Visit in January 2024 to Treza with 5 people: The location is attractive and it's nice to sit! But that’s enough praise. Unfortunately, the boss has no decency or respect. The service staff isn't much better either. No please, no thank you, no apology (1 meal was wrong). When the food was cleared away, no one asked how it tasted. Afterwards we sat for at least half an hour with empty drinks. When we asked if we could order something else to drink, the boss first looked at the clock and was visibly annoyed! It wasn't late, nor were we the only table. The food was not good and we all agreed on that! We all (!) added a lot of salt and pepper so that the food (puff pastry, minced meatballs, grilled and breaded vegetables, potatoes, etc.) was somewhat edible. Conclusion: Never again!!!!

We were warmly welcomed. The food was extremely tasty. Especially here the Metaxa sauce. If we're in Trier again, we'll be back at Treza.

We had a Sylvester menu. We were upsold a fancy bottle of wine, menu was quite expensive (€48 2 course). No amuse bouche or anything. Waiter was discussing when we gave feedback. The coquille starter was presented on a bunch of rocket without dressing. Food was fine, the main chicken roulade quite good, but it was still wrapped and we didn't have a sharp knife to open it, cost us some stains on clothing and asking 2 waiters to cut it. Wouldn't go here again

Auf einer Empfehlung hin ( vielen Dank, lieber Herr von der Dominikanischen Republik, wir lernten uns an der Eislaufbahn kennen!!), kamen wir in dieses außergewöhnliche Restaurant. Es erwartete uns eine tolle, vielseitige Speisekarte. Das Essen war hervorragend. Bis zum nächsten Trierbesuch!

Außergewöhnliches Essen, ich fands sehr lecker. Der Service ist sehr aufmerksam und nett.

Gelukkig hadden we gereserveerd. We hebben heerlijk gegeten, maar zoals zovaak teveel. Helaas niet mee kunnen nemen, omdat we in een hotel zaten. Anders hadden we het meegenomen, hadden we nog een dag kunnen genieten van deze heerlijke maaltijd.

Un super chouette restaurant ! On était à 3 en famille à l'hôtel Ibis (qui est fabuleux aussi !). On a décidé de manger là car nous aimons la cuisine grecque et ... Nous avons découvert un endroit très sympathique ! Les plats sont copieux, le personnel est super sympa et à l'écoute. Les prix sont vraiment raisonnables pour la qualité des produits. Allez-y sans aucune hésitation. On a goûté une retsina bien meilleure que la malamatina traditionnelle ! Petite info : n''oubliez pas que la culture du pourboire est toujours d'actualité en Allemagne. Par contre, nous retournerons à Trêves car la ville est magnifique, qu'il y a plein d'endroits à visiter et nous irons manger dans ce restaurant sans aucune hésitation.

Viel Potential, welches leider nicht ausgeschöpft wurde. Tolle Lage, schönes Lokal und ansprechende Karte - allerdings war bereits der Empfang nicht gerade schön. Unfreundlich und genervt trifft es leider eher - und beim Bestellen wurde dies ebenfalls bestätigt. Der Kellner schrieb nichts mit und schaute uns nicht an - sondern eher über uns hinweg nach draußen und war „geistig“ woanders. Alles ging schnell und so passierte es dann leider auch: falsches Hauptgericht wurde von einer jungen und freundlichen Dame gebracht. Sie entschuldigte sich direkt und brachte das Essen zurück in die Küche - dort hörte man dann lautstark, dass es jetzt „nervt“ dass das Essen verkehrt war. Das war eine unangenehme Situation. Das richtige Essen kam dann aber relativ schnell und es wurde sich nochmals von der Dame entschuldigt. Qualität vom Essen: zweigeteilt. Das Tzatziki war eher ein leckeres Joghurt mit Gurken, ähnlich wie das Lidl-Tzatziki welches ich gerne als Basis hernehme um ein für mich „richtiges“ zuzubereiten. Wer es knoblauchlastig und herzhaft mag, wird hier jedoch leider enttäuscht. Als Vorspeise gab es panierte Zucchinis mit Brot und Tzatziki. Die Panade hat nach nichts (!) geschmeckt und Pfeffer o. ä. hat das Gemüse auch nicht gesehen. Hier darf gerne mehr gewürzt werden (mein Geschmack). Das Gyros war lecker, aber irgendwie nicht knusprig - als wäre es „nur“ aus der Pfanne? Es war insgesamt nicht schlecht aber es hat keinen eigenen Charakter (so, wie es viele Griechische Restaurants jedoch haben und sich dadurch auszeichnen). Der Souflaki-Spieß war lecker, gut gewürzt und saftig. Gerne wieder. Getränke kamen schnell und es hatte alles gepasst. Es war Dienstag Mittag und es waren regelmäßig Gäste da - es gibt wie gesagt Potential meiner Meinung nach :-) Wir hätten auch noch etwas getrunken, aber wir wurden mehrfach übersehen (auch die leeren Gläser am Tischrand). Hier macht man das Geld! - Aber nicht, wenn man vorbei läuft….. Ouzo gab es auch keinen; das nur noch als Tipp: darüber freuen sich Kunden IMMER. Zudem, wenn etwas nicht einwandfrei lief. In heutigen Zeiten muss man sich etwas mehr anstrengen und abheben!

Es war nicht stark besucht.Essen wird schnell an den Tisch gebracht gute Weinauswahl Service gut nur es dauert sehr lange bis abgeräumt wird.
