Tre Panoce in Wetzlar

We don't live in Wetzlar, but we've been eating there regularly for many years. We were disappointed on our last visit and not satisfied with the value for money. We'd like to highlight the fact that you can get two non-alcoholic aperitifs, and the seating is very pleasant everywhere, whether inside the restaurant, in the courtyard, or on the outdoor terrace. We also ate from the special recommendations. The risotto with monkfish for €20 was ordinary, and the three pieces of fish were very small. The paillard was quite thickly sliced, unlike what we're used to at other Italian restaurants, and it lacked that certain something. The salmon carpaccio with wild herb salad was disappointing: some of the few lettuce leaves were inedible because they were rotten, the salmon was a simple product (thick, torn pieces that weren't arranged nicely as a carpaccio; the five pieces were placed around the small amount of lettuce), five walnut halves, and a few dashes of ready-made salad dressing – and all for 19 euros. I also ordered 0.1 liters of wine; unfortunately, we didn't immediately realize that 0.2 liters had been delivered. Too bad, the Tre Panoce has declined...

The pizza was 24 cm, significantly smaller than the plate. All for a hefty €15. The antipasti came with stale bread and was mediocre in taste. It was our last visit. What a shame.

Owner-run restaurant, very friendly service, a wide selection of exquisite dishes, and very tasty. Highly recommended.

At this price point, I expect higher quality. My pasta was mediocre at best.

Our favorite Italian restaurant in Wetzlar and the surrounding area! The pizza is delicious and generously topped. They also offer more unusual dishes. Tip: Save room for dessert ;-) You can sit either inside the cozy half-timbered house, outside in front of the house, or in the courtyard.

The food was excellent! It tasted incredibly fresh, and the service was super friendly. Unfortunately, vegetarian dishes aren't marked, but there was enough choice to be sure they were vegetarian. A definite recommendation would be the tomato soup and the pizza bread.

Went there to eat pizza, sat outside and so far everything was ok. The pizza wasn't the best I've eaten so far, but it's right up there. Staff is attentive and friendly. So there is nothing to complain about

An absolutely recommended restaurant! The location is excellent and makes you feel at home as soon as you arrive. The atmosphere is cozy and stylish, so you immediately feel welcome. We have enjoyed coming here to eat or celebrate for more than 10 years. From the starters to the main courses, the very tasty bedside tables plus espresso and grappa, everything was great!! Grazie mille per questo!!

Das Tre Panoce überzeugt mit einem gepflegten Ambiente - innen wie außen. Der Service ist zuvorkommend und professionell zurückhaltend. Die Speisekarte bietet neben der festen Karte eine wechselnde Karte mit aktuellen“Spezialgerichten“ aus Italien, die man sonst nur selten findet. Ganz besonders lecker bereitet man dort den Aperitif „Prosecco-Limoncello“ zu.

Ambiente und Service waren in Ordnung. Essen kam in nicht mal 10 min, war teilweise kalt und geschmacklich eine Enttäuschung, sehr fade. Deshalb blieb die halbe Portion auf dem Teller. Vom Chef kam nur die Frage, ob es nicht geschmeckt habe. Nach unserem Statement kam keine Entschuldigung, einfach nichts. Wir hatten Fusilli mit Rinderstreifen.

As a "local" who has known this restaurant for over 25 years and has had a few bad experiences with it, I thought I should give this place another chance after several years... I got, without any exaggeration, the worst pizza I've ever eaten in my life! I always eat a pizza with bell peppers, hot pepperoni, and pepperoni sausage... The pizza tasted of nothing! Every single ingredient was completely flavorless. I seriously wonder how they manage to do that, or how such a thing is even possible?! It's like chewing cardboard! Although, no, not really... Cardboard tastes sweet. Additionally, the pizza was undercooked, too greasy, and unreasonably small for the price. Any frozen pizza is, again without any exaggeration, better! As a side dish, I shared an Italian salad with my companion. It was good and, as is usual these days, reasonably priced. My companion's pizza was just as bad. No one responded to my criticism there. This place will definitely never see me again.

I got a nice table without a reservation. Despite the full house, the service was relaxed and friendly. The food was good.

Yesterday's experience at the Tre Panocce restaurant was one to forget. We made a reservation for December 26th, and no one warned us that not only was the menu heavily discounted that day (4 or 5 different types of pasta and pizza, plus one other dish), but each dish was at least €2 more expensive. We ordered four pizzas, one of which had no ham, and we asked them to replace it with some more salami. Another, without mushrooms. When we went to pay, not only were we not shown the bill (claiming there were internet problems), but they also charged us for the extra salami. Could it be more unhappy? Did they take away the mushrooms we didn't order? They were extremely rude when we told them, and we've already decided NOT to return. There are many more Italian restaurants in Wetzlar that are better, and where the customer experience is much better. Goodbye, Tre Panocce!

We were there on Christmas Day with 12 people and were disappointed. The lasagne was unseasoned, the pizzas were unseasoned and overcooked (dark base), and the meat dishes were the same as always but the prices were high, like everything else.

I recently ate here with a friend and I have to say it was one of the most disappointing experiences I've ever had in a restaurant. I personally think the prices are rather high and the portion of gnocchi I got was really very small. It didn't taste particularly great either, just a bit of butter and a bit of sage on it... When I got the bill I was charged about €3 too much - which I found out too late (I have the feeling this was deliberate because she was being so awkward when paying). I still gave a tip, so it was a bit of a cheeky expense... please at least put some effort into the dishes 🙈 I'd like to say more positive things but it's difficult... The service was okay, it could be friendlier.

I'd love to give it a 0. We ordered here, but unfortunately, the chef forgot ingredients that were listed on the menu. Instead of communicating this transparently, we were given a discount. Unfortunately, we didn't check the food in the restaurant right away, otherwise we wouldn't have taken it home and would have demanded a refund. This was our second and last visit here. We advise everyone to check their food carefully.

I've been there twice now and unfortunately can't share some people's enthusiasm... On the first visit, the steak was very tough and the bruschetta was cold... Today I wanted spaghetti al oglio with prawns, which they served me, even though it wasn't listed on the menu...a plus point... Unfortunately, the spaghetti was much too firm (no longer al dente) and was swimming in pasta water, and I couldn't taste any garlic either... 🙈🤷🏻‍♀️ The prawns were edible.... I paid 20 euros and am now making myself some toast. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Two of us ate there. The food (we both had pasta) was delicious, but the staff was a disaster! Very unfriendly, no smiles, and uncoordinated. The staff were sometimes overwhelmed, even assigning tables. For us, friendly staff is a MUST. Therefore, we won't eat there again.

The food was delicious and of the right quality. The service was friendly and constantly checking to make sure everything was as expected. The restaurant is very busy, so reservations are definitely recommended. Ultimately, however, I still find the prices a bit high, but we still opted for the Tris di Dessert (highly recommended).

We were able to snag a table outside without a reservation. I had a pizza diavola. The pizza was just what you'd expect from Italy. The dough was nice and crispy, and the toppings weren't too heavy. The pizza chef knows what he's doing.

We were disappointed. According to the daily specials, we each ordered a starter salad and a pizza with burrata and shrimp, plus a drink. The drinks were placed in front of us without even attempting to fill our glasses. Suddenly, the pizza arrived. When we asked about the starter salad, the answer was: "It's coming later." For dessert, the pizza was topped with a good ball of burrata and a cheese mixture with what felt like two small shrimp sliced ​​about 1 cm thick, garnished with tasteless basil pesto. The pizza dough was leathery and tasteless. When paying, we pointed this out to the owner. She replied that we would like the pizza crispy next time. Will there be a next time? We consider the service to be at most adequate for a price of €19 per pizza.

The beef with the homemade noodles and porcini mushrooms was a bit tough and I hardly tasted any of the porcini mushrooms. The waiter miscalculated by 10 euros in our favor, and when my husband discovered this, he - honestly, he went in and paid extra - no thanks and nothing, not even an espresso or something similar on the house 😠

Wir haben draußen gesessen und wurden sehr freundlich und aufmerksam bedient. Der Wein Lugana lecker und gut gekühlt, die Pasta mit Lachs bzw Aglio, Olio, Peperoncino und Scampis al dente und sehr schmackhaft. Gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Der Espresso zum Abschluss wohltuend heiß! Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Unfortunately, the service and some of the food were lacking, which really annoys me considering that the prices are not the lowest. The bread was missing from the salad and we weren't given the opportunity to order more (I would probably have had to get up to find the waitress) because no one asked if we needed anything else. When I pointed this out when I received the bill, all I said was "sorry, my colleague forgot". The potatoes were also forgotten in a 27.50 euro menu, but nothing was deducted from the bill and no compensation was offered in the form of a dessert or perhaps at least a nightcap.

Very good food, at very good prices! Good recommendation. Wines (very well sorted) simply too expensive... (paid as much for a glass as for a bottle of good wine in the wine shop! But everything else was very good!!

Unfortunately, the food wasn't anything special. Ingredients were missing or were substituted without prior notice. Instead of fish in my pasta, I got tomatoes with tomato sauce. The pizza dough was far too soft. Price/performance 3.

Quality over quantity. The pizza was just the right portion size, the dough was perfect, and the toppings were superb. The courtyard is definitely worth a visit in the summer.

I've known the "Three Corncobs" since the early days when they were still on Silhöfertorstrasse. After a good 30 years on "home vacation" - I've been living about 500 km away for a long time - I went there again. The ambience has clearly improved, the food is still as authentically Italian as it was back then and really good. Prices are also quite reasonable. Definitely worth recommending.

We were there for lunch for the first time. What can I say, unfortunately there wasn't the dish that was on the board. And it wasn't very good. It was very dry. There's no need to say anything more about it. What I found very unfortunate is that there wasn't one waitress, but someone else constantly came to the table.

The best pizzeria in Wetzlar. The boss and his staff are super friendly. I usually eat the rump steak with vegetables, marsala, onions and mashed potatoes. The best rump steak ever in Wetzlar. But no matter what you eat there, everything tastes very good. But you can't please everyone. The vast majority of Germans almost always have something to complain about. Many greetings from Bulgaria, I'll be eating rump steak again soon.😋

For me and my wife, a visit to Tre Panoce once a month is simply a nice way to end the month. It's always nice to end the evening with great service and a pleasant atmosphere with delicious beer and wine. In addition, there is really delicious food as an absolute highlight of Wetzlar's Allstadt. I can only recommend it to every couple who wants to do something good for their relationship.

Small portions for a big price. Staff not particularly friendly. When I asked about a child's chair for our grandson (20 months old), I was told that they only had one child's chair (I saw that too, completely worn out) and that it was currently taken. When I walked through the restaurant with our grandson after dinner, the owners were annoyed, but what can you do with a little one like that, he just won't sit still on a normal chair.

Visually a nice restaurant. What was really shocking and disgusting, however, was my spoiled tiramisu, which I had to return due to the sour taste of the mascarpone (clearly unsweetenable). The waiter, annoyed, took it away without saying a word. No alternative dessert was offered either. So I had to watch my companion eat. That doesn't work at all! It was also difficult to flag down the waiter for orders and the owners were quite rude. I'm not used to that. And I know all the restaurants in Wetzlar.

Despite Christmas, not all tables were occupied. You felt a slight annoyance from the boss and employees about having to work. The pizza was quite small and poorly topped and the schnitzel was really bad. There were 2 small schnitzels and what felt like 10 fries on the plate. Very bland without garnish. No Marsala or anything like that on the house. Also no child-friendliness to be felt. It's a shame, we were really looking forward to the restaurant.

Sehr schönes Ambiente, Essen sehr lecker. Unser Kellner war super. Wir haben es sehr genossen. Sehr gerne immer wieder.

Am Eingang wurden wir vom Chef mürrisch empfangen und er hat uns einen Tisch zugewiesen. In der Folge wurden wir jedoch von einem freundlichen Kellner bedient. Als Speisen hatten wir eine Pizza und die Tortelloni mit Gorgonzolasoße. Die Pizza ist eher klein, fade im Geschmack und nicht sonderlich üppig belegt. Die Pasta an sich ist okay, aber die Soße bekomme ich zu Hause besser hin. Auch die Portion war eher bescheiden. Immerhin waren der Espresso und der Latte Macchiato gut. Unterm Strich stimmt aber das Preis-/ Leistungsverhältnis überhaupt nicht. Wir kommen nicht wieder.

Tolles Lokal. Essen sehr lecker

Traditionslokal in der Wetzlarer Altstadt. Die Portionen sind seniorengerecht er klein und passen damit gut zum Stammpublikum.

Das Lokal hat ein sehr ansprechendes Interieur und ein freundliches Personal. Das Gleiche gilt für den ausgeschenkten Lugana. LEIDER waren die gereichten Speisen den obigen Vorlagen nicht gerecht, sondern unerwartet geschmacksneutral. Weder die Nudeln noch die Pizza schmeckten anders als Tofu. Kein Salz, kein Pfeffer oder anderes Gewürz trübte den Einheitsgeschmack. Der Kellner- daraufhin angesprochen - wollte dies der Küche berichten, die Küche wollte aber anscheinend nicht antworten. Wäre der Autor böse, würde er Kunstkäse und Kunstschinken unterstellen, aber das wäre ja nur eine Vermutung.

Essen war gut 👍 aber Getränke nachbestellen und bezahlen war nicht so toll. Wir mussten ewig warten

Es war alles gut - es gab an dem Essen und Service nichts zu beanstanden. Die Pizza war okay, die Nudeln super und die Vorspeisenplatte sehr gut - nicht ganz günstig - aber eben auch mit allem bestückt was man erwartet. Für mein Geschmack hätte es hätte ein bisl mehr Baguette sein können, da waren wir selbst schuld - haben nicht nach einem Nachschlag gefragt - hätten bestimmt auch noch etwas bekommen. Das Ambiente fand ich nicht so gut. Ich hatte Geburtstag und einen Tisch reserviert. Wir haben einen sehr kleinen Tisch bekommen. Man hat sehr beengt gesessen und hinter einen direkt der nächste. Quasi Rücken an Rücken. Wir haben eine Flasche Wein bestellt, als dann die Vorspeisenplatte kam wusste der Kellner nicht wo er das unterbringen soll - Vorschlag Wein inkl Weinkühler auf den Boden stellen. Ein bisschen hin und her geschoben und wir haben dann doch noch ein Plätzchen auf dem Tisch gefunden. Es war einfach ein beengtes Gefühl. Zu viele Menschen überall, neben mir, hinter mir und direkt der Durchgang bzw. Laufwege für Kellner und Gäste. Ich hatte mir das anders vorgestellt. Das Wetter war nicht gut, es hat geregnet, vermutlich kamen Gäste nich von draußen rein, aber die Tische stehen ja wie sie stehen und damit habe ich mich irgendwie nicht so wohl gefühlt. Gibt auch andere „ etwas großzügigere Tische“. An sich ganz nett und s anderen macht es eventuell nicht so viel aus, mich hat es an diesem Tag extrem gestört. Evtl. kann man das bei der Reservierung Fragen wo man sitzen möchte oder ob es ein besonderer Tag ist.

Wir hatten beide Oktopus. Wirklich sehr lecker und top Qualität. Für mich persönlich hätte die Portion etwas größer ausfallen können. Aber ich würde auf jeden Fall wieder hier essen gehen.

Das Essen war okay. Es hätte besser gewürzt sein können. Das Amviente ist ganz nett, man kann sich draußen sitzen. Die Bedienungen waren freundlich.

Esse hier immer nur die Pizza mit Flusskrebsen. War früher deutlich besser. Immer noch okay aber auch nicht mehr. Qualität konnte mit der Preissteigerung nicht mithalten.

Sehr leckeres Essen, guter Service. Wir hatten eine kleine Feier und würden sehr gut bezüglich der Menüwahl beraten. Das Vorspeisenbuffet war genau wie die Hauptspeisen excellent!

Outstanding. authentic Italian. I was not expecting such great food because of the smaller village, but was surprised and grateful to discover this little treasure of a place. The food was divine and the atmosphere was lovely. We reserved this space in advance so had a separate area outdoors yet close to the building. I loved that we could watch people walk by and feel close to the action while having our own space. Gnocchi Gorgonzolas, Lasagnas, Salmons, Tortolleni and two different pizzas were devoured by our group. We are picky Italian eaters and would never give this a 5 star unless it really was. Not one complaint from our group. My husband loved the Gnocchi. The wine and beer were perfect. The service impeccable. The Menus had large writing, it is always a struggle to try to read in the evening with low lighting. I loved that they filled out water glasses and checked on us as we enjoyed the dinner. I believe it was the owner came by to say hello. A very elegant woman. A lovely place to eat. Enjoy the delights. You will love the food.
