The rustic hut in the Brunnental is located in the middle of a fascinating landscape, surrounded by mountains and a variety of hiking opportunities, and is easy to reach by bike or car. One is particularly surprised by the tastefully furnished interiors, which offer a cozy cabin atmosphere. There is also nice seating outside when the temperatures are pleasant. Even when there is a lot going on, the guests are friendly and professional and there is often still a spot in the guest room. However, I would definitely recommend making a reservation. The food and drinks are regional and of a high standard from selected suppliers. I found the game dish very tasty, but there are also many vegetarian dishes and regular special events with a culinary focus. The overall package is really special, but it has probably not been an insider tip for some time if you look at the license plates of the vehicles. But yes, it is actually worth traveling a little further.

I follow this company on IG and wanted to try it recently when in Germany. It is in a great location, looks good but the food, at least what I had, is nothing to write home about. The terrace is lovely and the whole concept seems to work. For me the food needs improving.

We celebrated our wedding here and are completely satisfied and thrilled. The planning in advance was very professional and pleasant. On the day itself everything went smoothly, the service was perfect, the food and drinks were excellent. All guests were completely satisfied. We would unconditionally recommend the Traufganghütte as a venue for events.

Wow, a really great restaurant in the middle of nature. The service is extremely attentive and warm. All food and drinks were super tasty. These were beautifully prepared and served without long waiting times. A reservation is highly recommended as the restaurant was completely booked.

We were able to celebrate our wedding in the Traufganghütte in July. From the beginning the contact was uncomplicated and professional. After getting to know each other in person and taking a tour around the hut, it was clear to us that we wanted to celebrate our wedding here. We are very happy about this decision and had a great party! We were able to organize our wedding ceremony in the beautiful orchard above the hut. Food, drinks and service were great. Arrangements with the team always worked well! Thank you so much for letting us spend our day with you and taking away such great memories!

We were able to celebrate our wedding in the Traufgang Hütte on August 10th. We felt like we were in very good hands right from the start. A lot of time was taken for the preliminary discussions and our wishes were always taken into account. The celebration itself was fantastic, everything was implemented exactly as discussed, the food was delicious and the service staff was attentive. We would love to come back and would definitely recommend private celebrations in the Traufganghütte.

Very nice location, very good food and attentive staff. The dishes are excellently prepared and both delicately and surprisingly combined. Very good ingredients, well processed. Unfortunately, sometimes only the partial dish is served, e.g. In the case of beef carpaccio with chanterelles, the chanterelles were simply left out without comment. Otherwise an absolute delight for the eyes and the palate. Great cuisine and mega nice staff. I hope you find the reinforcement you are looking for for the team.

We celebrated our wedding in this beautiful location and enjoy going there too. The food and service are great and the children can play happily.

Very nice location, you immediately feel like you're on vacation. The staff seemed to me as if they were only looking for sales. As soon as you “just” ordered something to drink and didn’t want to eat anything, you were left behind and made to feel like you weren’t wanted. Something like that doesn't work, otherwise it was very nice. One should. Don't go for upscale gastronomy at a hiking car park where walk-in customers might just want a drink!

At first it was a bit chaotic because the date for our travel group was not reported correctly. The nice waitresses did everything well and in time and always with a smile 😀. The food was also very tasty, but unfortunately a lot of it had already been eaten 😔 which limited the selection a bit.

Food and drink top. Prices are reasonable. The ambience inside and outside is very cool. Unfortunately we had a very unfriendly waiter. Maybe he was just having a bad day, then I'm sorry for the poor service rating. Otherwise the one star is justified. In the end it was very important that the entire table was cleared before we were finally allowed to pay. Why? Clearing up is even easier when no one is sitting at the table.

Soup good, meat cakes with pieces of cartilage in them. It's a shame that there is deliberately no menu anywhere, not even outside the restaurant. It's just advertised with a variety of events. Nothing is published about the core of the business - the food. That's a shame.

Beautiful area, wonderful hiking trails along the Albtrauf. From here there is a short hike over the Hossinger ladder. The Traufganghütte itself is a beautiful restaurant with a wonderful garden terrace. There is plenty of space. The dishes on the menu are really homemade and you can taste the love for the region. There are various themed evenings several times a year. The waitresses are very accommodating. Prices are definitely appropriate for the service.

The four of us were in the Traufganghütte Brunnental for the first time today and we were thrilled and immediately became fans. We'd love to come back.

I was able to celebrate my birthday with the Traufganghütte team 10 years ago and did so again last Saturday and it was once again a complete success. I was given good advice from the start about food and everything. We don't have to talk about the ambience, it's great there anyway. ;-) The team was friendly and on top of their game and where else do you find that the food is served until 3 a.m.? Excellent. Thanks to the Traufganghütte and team (and of course very special thanks to Mr. Hailfinger and Jule).

Very nicely located hut restaurant with a nice ambience. Very nice, lovingly renovated with old wood. Various possibilities to celebrate here. We were also invited to a birthday party Here you won't disturb anyone and you can play music loudly until late at night/early morning. The food, tarte flambée and grill buffet was very tasty. The service staff was very attentive and accommodating. Can only be recommended.

I can recommend it to anyone who is hungry after a hike or excursion and wants to be in nature. Delicious food at moderate prices and decent portions. The outdoor terrace is beautifully designed.

Lokal sehr schön, Bedingung freundlich. Das war aber auch schon alles. Es gab keine Spätzle..und das im Schwabenland!!!Nur Bratensoße, waren zwei dabei die das nicht gut vertragen. Salat war eigentlich inordnung aber viel grüner Salat und das bisschen Kartoffel und Karottensalat musste man suchen, also von billigsten reichlich. Bratkartoffeln weich, würde sagen Tiefkühlkost. Schnitzel trocken und teilweise zu dunkel gebraten. Kein Steak, kein Filet auf der Karte, als nicht Fisch esser blieb nur das Schnitzel. Neun von zehn fanden das essen schlecht. Nur einer fand seinen Zwiebelrostbraten inordnung. Gehen viel essen, bewerte selten schlecht...aber das definitiv nie wieder...

The atmosphere is very rustic, you feel very comfortable. The service was friendly, but the empty plates were left until payment was made. A little more attention would be desirable here. The food is good, but the sauce with the vegetables was only lukewarm. The meat was good and fried medium as ordered. The problem with the side salad was that everything tasted like the sauce in which the salad components (carrot, cucumber, potato) were drowned, a little too much leaf lettuce of just one type, few other components. Here it would make sense to serve it on a flatter plate than in a bowl, where everything would taste the same. Unfortunately, prices here are also significantly too high, €70 (including tip) for two people with just one drink each, so the food should be perfect. 3.5 stars.

Food was very good. It didn't take too long, even though it was busy. Service staff were very friendly and attentive. The restaurant is very comfortably furnished.

Very nice atmosphere and a great location. Unfortunately, the food in the fondue hut wasn't really exceptional. Apart from salad, potatoes and bread, there were no other inserts or side dishes. You take your own drinks out of the fridge, but unfortunately there was only a little water in them. And it was not possible to order other non-alcoholic drinks from the service. Be careful when booking one of the huts as a private group: billing is only possible for one person. A proportional split of the invoice was not possible. In our case, one person had to pay the bill of €900.

Unfortunately only now 🤦. We were on the terrace with about 16 people on my 60th birthday in July. There is nothing that we could complain about in any way. A really great evening! The service, the food, the ambience, everything was just great!! We can only recommend the Traufganghütte 100%.

Ein Platz wo man sich wie im Urlaub fühlt

Tolle Einkehr nach lohnender Wanderung. Waren am vergangenen Sonntag mit zwei befreundeten Familien in der neu umgebauten Traufganghütte einkehren und waren mehr als begeistert. Die Terrasse ist der Hammer die bestellten Speisen ( Maultaschen und Rostbraten) waren perfekt zubereitet. Wir würden trotz zahlreichen Gästen freundlich und schnell bedient und kommen gerne wieder.

Schönes Ausflugslokal am Albaufstieg zwischen Balingen und Albstadt-Ebingen.

In diesem einzigartigen Restaurant wurden wir unverhofft zum Meister am Grill ernannt – ein Erlebnis, das unseren gastronomischen Horizont erweiterte. Das Konzept des "Selbstgrillens" hätte eine unterhaltsame Abwechslung sein können, wenn nicht das Personal den Eindruck erweckt hätte, als ob ich ihre private Grillparty stören würde. Die Unfreundlichkeit schien Teil des Ambientes zu sein, als ob sie sich ein Wettbewerbziel "Wer kann am wenigsten lächeln?" gesetzt hätten. Vielleicht sollte das nächste Update des Grillmenüs auch ein freundliches Lächeln einschließen – das könnte die Gäste genauso angenehm überraschen wie die Grillkünste. Grillige Grüße mit einem Hauch von Gastfreundschaft!

Ich beschreibe Eindrücke aus der Grillhütte, welche man für Geburtstage oder kleine Events reservieren kann. Die Homepage der Traufganghütte wirbt damit, dass man mit Freunden an einem kalten Wintertag vom Holzfeuer erwärmt ein ganz besonderes Erlebnis haben kann. Ein ganz besonderes Erlebnis hatten wir, leider aber ein sehr negatives. Als wir in der Hütte ankamen, hat man zu Beginn noch unseren Atem gesehen - so kalt war es dort. Wir haben schnell festgestellt, dass lediglich Grillkohle im Grill ist und dass dies nicht ausreicht um die Hütte ansatzweise gemütlich aufzuwärmen. Wir haben nach Heizlüftern gefragt - gab es nicht. Wir haben nach weiteren Decken gefragt, nur eine weitere Decke haben wir bekommen. Wir meinten, wir haben richtig kalte Füße. Die Antwort der sehr genervten Bedienung war: Wer braucht schon Füße, ihr habt ja Hände. Das Essen, mit 40€ pro Person nicht gerade günstig, konnten wir nicht ansatzweise genießen. Ja, es war kalt an dem Tag. Aber: Der Betreiber hatte unsere Handynummer, man hätte uns vorwarnen können. Dann hätten wir immer noch entscheiden oder uns dicker einkleiden können. Und: Man war nicht daran interessiert auf uns einzugehen. Wir haben mehrfach angesprochen, dass wir es so nicht genießen können. Am Ende wurde der volle Betrag von ca 570€ abgerechnet, für ein Essen im Kalten. Man ist uns kein Stück entgegen gekommen. Nach dem abkassieren kam ein kurzes "Sorry" - das war alles. Mit so einem Mindset zeigt man um was es in der Traufganghütte geht: Ums gute Geld. Vielen Dank für meine tolle Geburtstagsfeier in eurer schönen, warmen Grillhütte für besondere Erlebnisse mit Freunden unter exklusivem Service.

Es war eine super Erfahrung dieses Mal gemacht zu haben wir waren total begeistert vom Ambiente ein toller Abend mit Freunden und die Bedienungen waren auch alle super nett und freundlich. Gerne wieder. 👍

Liebe Traufganghütte, das Essen war lecker, der Chef nett wie immer..Bedienung ok. ABER ihr Lieben, dass die übrige Pasta zum mitheimnehmen auf dem Tisch in eine Alufolie gekippt wird und dann zugezwirbelt wird......geht gar nicht..Laut Mitarbeiter sie das Verpackungsmaterial zu teuer.......hätten auch nen Euro dafür bezahlt. Folge, beim nächsten Mal wird nichts mehr mitheimgenommen....schade!

Sehr schöne Location mit Hüttencharakter, alles in Holz, liebevoll dekoriert. Große Portionen. Suppe wird im Weckglas serviert. Bedingungen sind sehr nett. Im Angebot ist auch Fondue in einer Skigondel. Oder Grillen in einer Grillhütte.

Für eine Silvester Abend war das Geld nicht Wert . Für 180 Euro hat man anderen Erwartungen ....ich fand das wirklich schade weil generell das Essen ist sehr gut und preislich angemessen. ☹️. Nur für einen Silvester Abend sollten man für die 5 Stunden etwas anderes überlegen damit die Gäste unterscheiden können was bedeutet einen Abend essen gehen oder einen Silvester Veranstaltung. Musik oder ein Tanz Möglichkeit wäre gut gewesen..... schade !

Waren am Samstag zum ersten Mal hier und mich ärgert es, dass wir nicht schon früher Mal hier essen gegangen sind. Der Service und die Qualität der Speisen waren sehr gut. Hatte eine Zwiebelrostbraten der wirklich überragend war. Der Gargrad sowie der Geschmack waren perfekt und es war eine große Portion. Auch allen anderen Gerichte und Vorspeisen haben allen sehr gut geschmeckt.

Kein Wurstsalat weil Winter ist? Ernsthaft? Hatte vor zwei Monaten einen und der war eigentlich sagenhaft!
