The three-star rating feels a bit generous, to be honest. The food was quite average, especially considering the number of positive reviews this place has. For an Italian restaurant, I expected something more authentic and flavorful. They don’t serve traditional pizza but rather “pinsa” – which I understand is a different style – but the taste reminded me more of a cheap chain pizza than anything artisanal or high quality. The saltimbocca was fine, nothing special, and the pasta for the child was okay, though the tomato sauce was very bland. I regularly visit Italian restaurants across Europe, and this one, sadly, was a disappointment.

We had a completely successful sunny after-work evening with work colleagues at the end of April on our first visit to Santa Lucia in Stuttgart. ☀️ We started with aperitivo classics like Aperol Spritz and the fruity-fresh Mandarin Spritz 🍹 - plus a large, lovingly and high-quality antipasti platter, perfect for sharing! The portion sizes were great – generous without being overwhelming. I continued with fine wine 🍷, the delicious Pinsa Santa Lucia 🍕 and the grilled squid/octopus 🦑 - everything tasted great and was beautifully served. At the end there was an espresso and a delicious digestif. 🍋 The service was warm, attentive and charming - and when the owner personally came over and chatted with us, we felt really valued ✨ Especially on very sunny days, the outdoor area is a dream - a touch of Italy in the center of Stuttgart 🇮🇹. Conclusion: Great food, relaxed atmosphere & friendly service – clear recommendation. Grazie Santa Lucia – we’ll be back!

Ristorante Santa Lucia is a place where you not only eat great food, but also feel completely welcome. The owner welcomes you with genuine warmth and creates an atmosphere like being with good friends. The food: Fresh, high quality and prepared with love! The Pulpo was the absolute highlight – incredibly tender, perfectly cooked, a real treat. Equally convincing: the buttery cooked vegetables and the beef tartare with truffles - aromatic, delicately seasoned, simply a dream. You will also receive first-class advice when choosing wine - with a lot of specialist knowledge and a feel for tastes and combinations. Finally, a generous affogato with real vanilla ice cream – the perfect sweet ending. In summer, the beautiful terrace invites you to sit outside, enjoy city life and treat yourself to a little piece of Italy in the middle of the city. Conclusion: If you value quality, honest cuisine and Italian hospitality, you should definitely visit Ristorante Santa Lucia.

A good Italian in Stuttgart. Quite inconspicuous from the outside, but definitely worth a meal. Price-performance is okay, not cheap, but still reasonably reasonable. Pinsa is big and you'll get more than enough of it. The eggplant casserole as a starter is fantastic, I would come back just for that. Otherwise we had pasta and it was good, although nothing earth-shattering. The service is really excellent, very unobtrusive but attentive. We never had to wait long. And the espresso is also worth mentioning - really great. It's almost a rarity that good espresso is still available, hence the extra praise for it.

We were there today on a recommendation. We received a first-class welcome and were able to choose our own table. The appetizers (salmon tartare and manzo carpaccio) were amazing. Main course: tagliatelle con salmone & spaghetti from the Parmesan cheese roll. 5 out of 5 stars! The server was very attentive and very friendly. It's a shame we live so far away...but if we go back to Stuttgart, we definitely have to go back.

Visiting Stuttgart for work and enjoyed a fabulous dinner here. I had the monkfish saltimbocca and the flavors were balanced and didn't over power the rich flavor of the fish. Thebfish was also cooked perfectly. I hope to return on my next return to the area.

Wir waren gestern Abend um 18 Uhr mit Freunden zum Essen. Als wir kamen war das Restaurant fast leer. Unser Essen haben wir dann gleich bestellt. Das Essen kam dann um 19:30!!! Die Kellnerin ist auf Nachfrage kommentarlos verschwunden. Das Essen war in Ordnung allerdings auch nicht wie bestellt. Zum Entrecote hatten wir eine andere Beilage bestellt, dieser Wunsch wurde aber nicht berücksichtigt. Die Pizzen war in Ordnung, aber weder dem Preis (17,50€ für Schinken mit einem halben Champignon) noch dem Geschmack nach dem Zeitaufwand wert.

Wir waren gestern Abend im Santa Lucia zu 6 essen. Unsere Freunde warteten schon auf uns und wir setzten uns nieder. Es kam auch gleich mal ein Kellner und nahm unsere Bestellung auf. Darauf hin wurden wir auch nach dem Essen gefragt. Und jetzt ging es los, die Vorspeisen kamen vor dem letzten Getränk. Was für die Küche spricht aber nicht für den Service. Es waren keine ausgefallenen Getränke dabei ein paar Schorlen und 2 Bier. Naja die Vorspeisen waren auch zugegebenermaßen ganz gut. (Carpaccio, Vitello tornato) Wir saßen dann sage und schreibe mind. 20 Minuten vor unseren leeren Tellern bis diese endlich abgeräumt wurden. Auf neues Besteck für die Hauptspeisen warteten wir vergeblich. Das mussten wir dann selber holen. Dazu muss man sagen das zu diesen Zeitpunkt max. 5 Tische besetzt waren und mind. 3 Kellner im Restaurant. In der Zwischenzeit fragt ich, ob ich eventuell meine Hauptspeise ändern könnte. Von Pasta mit Ragu zu Pasta mit Meeresfrüchten. Also nur eine andere Sauce. Dies war anscheinend nicht möglich da unsere Essen ja angeblich schon fertig waren. Zu diesen Zeitpunkt standen die Vorspeisenteller wohlgemerkt immer noch am Tisch. 15 Minuten später kam dann das Essen. So, ist mein Essen jetzt 15 Minuten fertig in der Küche rumgestanden oder wie darf man das verstehen?! Die Pasta mit Ragu war dann naja und die Pasta aus dem Käselaib war trocken und langweilig. Nach dem wir fertig gegessen hatten warteten wir wieder locker mind. 20 Min. bis sich jemand erbarmte unsere Teller abzuräumen. Der Kellner fragte zwar obs geschmeckt hat, alls ich allerdings mit „naja es geht“ antwortete nahm er schnell die Teller und ging. War ihm anscheinend egal. Während unseres Aufenthaltes wurden wir kein einziges Mal gefragt ob wir noch was trinken wollen obwohl der Kellner (Mohammed glaub ich) mindesten 25 Mal am Tisch vorbei ging. Wir hätten gerne noch mehr konsumiert aber irgendwann hatten wir keine Lust mehr. Die Gläser waren einfach 1 Stunde leer und niemanden hat’s interessiert. Auch wenn die Kellner was gebracht oder abegräumt haben keine Nachfrage. Während dem Essen kann man in so einer Location schon erwarten das man gefragt wird obs schmeckt. Achja und wir hatten alle Pasta aber nicht mal da wurde gefragt ob wir vielleicht gerne Parmesan dazu hätten. Fazit: nettes Ambiente, miserabeler Service und durchschnittliches Essen. Da ich selber aus der Gastronomie komme ärgert es mich wenn ich mit Freunden einen schönen Abend verbringen möchte und es an so einfachen Dingen wie dem Service hapert. Kurz mal nachfragen ob noch jemand etwas trinken will oder ob alles in Ordnung ist, ist sicher nicht zu viel verlangt. In jeder Dorfkneipe ist der Service aufmerksamer.

Just bear in mind that if you order choco soufflé dessert (as we did), you will need to wait around 20 min. I would definitely recommend visiting this place. Unfortunately, our visit to this restaurant was a total failure for us. First we had to wait over an hour until we got our drinks after we asked again. Unfortunately, some of these were still wrong... There was bread for the starter at the tables next to us, but we didn't get any despite the long wait. The pizzas and the pasta tasted good at first glance, but both people who ate the pasta developed severe stomach pains shortly afterwards. So there was almost certainly something wrong with the pasta, which is quite an achievement when it comes to pasta with just parmesan. Unfortunately, the price-performance ratio was in no way justified due to the lack of service and the intolerability of the food.

My husband didn't get any parmesan with his pasta, although all the other tables got some. When we wanted to pay, we weren't offered limoncello and the same thing happened again. When we finished the main course, we were not offered any dessert, another drink or anything else. All in all, we had the feeling that we should get out of there as quickly as we came. What an absolutely lovely evening! We went to the Trattoria Santa Lucia with nine people and we all loved the different dishes. The starters and the primi and secondi piatti were excellent, beautifully presented, well put together and, above all, super tasty. The selection of wines was also very extensive and good. The atmosphere in the restaurant was very pleasant and the service was courteous and friendly. A very big compliment to the operations manager Tomaso for his warm manner! We will all definitely be back.

Label fraud as a business model: Pseudo-Italians with decent cuisine at high prices. Buongiorno, prego, grazie - you hear these and other phrases about the Italian way of life all the time in Santa Lucia, but not from people named Giovanni, Vittorio or Luca, but from Cem, Hüseyin or Ali. The Italian-style menu contains numerous spelling errors, but these are put into perspective by the decent cuisine, albeit at reasonable prices: pizza or pasta for 20 euros will take a long time to find elsewhere. A culinary Disneyland: nothing is real except the illusion. Can be done, does not have to be.

Were there again on January 12, 2024. A short-term reservation was definitely possible. However, sitting at the “tables for two” is a bit cramped. The service was always polite and courteous. It is definitely an upscale restaurant. Charging EUR 24.50 for a starter is a clear statement. However, we were disappointed with the other starter, a lobster bisque. It tasted bland and there was no sign of anything remotely close to a piece of “lobster meat”. The two main courses were good but overpriced. Nevertheless we will come back.

Authentic Italian food in the upper pricing end

Wir waren an einem Samstagabend (mit Reservation) da, eine Woche vor Weihnachten. Alles war ausgebucht, jedoch war es ein gelungener Abend. Wir haben alle ein alkoholisches Getränk bestellt und teils eine Vorspeise. Zum Hauptgang haben wir Pasta und Pizza bestellt. Das Essen kam sehr schnell und waren nahehin die besten Pasta welche wir jemals hatten. Somit war es grossartig und würden auf jedenfall wiederkommen. Wir hatten sehr freundliches Personal.

Auf unserem Tagestrip in Stuttgart sind wir zufällig auf dieses Restauraunt gestossen. Da wir nicht Reserviert hatten mussten wir kurz warten. Der Service war ausgezeichnet, das Essen war auch sehrgut allerdings waren die Nudeln einbisschen übersalzt. Man merkte dass der Besitzer mit Herzblut dabei ist und alles Perfekt machen will. Werden ganz bestimmt wieder kommen. Grüsse aus der Schweiz.
