Very accommodating and polite. The menu was great.

The food was very tasty and the service was good too. The memory card is not like in the "typical" Italian restaurant, but offers much more. However, the rooms could use some renovation, sockets are half hanging out of the wall, paint is peeling off the wall, etc. I think that shouldn't be the case with such high prices.

Looking for a “good Italian” we tried Trattoria Puglia. On the first attempt, spontaneously on a Friday evening, no chance without a reservation. A good sign? After today's visit you can only say YES!!! answer. I'm not easily inspired when it comes to gastronomy, but EVERYTHING was just right here! Ambiance, food, service. Starting with the small greeting from the kitchen, the starters, through the wonderful Primitivo, the home-baked bread, the olive oil, to the main course (I had the Orechiette Gamberoni with green asparagus, cherry tomatoes and shellfish sauce) and the fantastic grappa, which we were able to enjoy at the end together with the boss himself, it was a completely successful evening. And... Of course we had a sensational waiter in ADI (great guy). Finally someone who knows what he is talking about at the table. Every course, every wine was announced and every request was received politely and courteously. SO, and there's no other way to go for gastronomy 👌 I'm really happy to pay a few euros more than it would have cost me in the pizzeria next door. THANK YOU - please keep it up!!! 🫶

We ordered carbonated water, a glass of wine and a Hövels. A glass of Primitivo, non-carbonated water and a Hövels in a Radeberger glass were served. After a lot of back and forth, we decided on two pizzas :) When the waiter asked us if we liked it, my wife commented that she didn't quite like the pizza dough. The waiter argued that many regular customers come from 30-40 km away just for the pizza, and personal taste could not be properly taken into account/perceived at this point. The impression arose of unwanted criticism, which spoiled the evening for us personally.

You should definitely try it! The menu is great!!! Service great!!!

We were here for the first time today and are absolutely thrilled. The service was very friendly, professional and accommodating. The atmosphere is inviting and you feel very comfortable in the restaurant. The menu appeared to be of high quality and this impression was also reflected in the dishes. As a starter we had a mixed starter platter with fish and seafood variations. All components gave the impression of high quality and tasted very good. The main courses (pasta made from parmesan with truffles and beef fillet, lamb variation) were also very tasty. The pasta was even prepared at the table. For dessert we chose tiramisu and pear panacotta. Both were homemade and we enjoyed them very much. All the dishes were very attractively prepared and the drinks were also very tasty. Price-performance ratio is definitely right here, as the dishes on offer met high quality standards. We would definitely recommend this restaurant and would love to come back!

The two of us were there on Christmas Day. A greatly reduced map, which is understandable. It was a little strange that other dishes were being served around us, I guess only for regular guests - it was just our first time there. The vitello is prepared differently here, the meat is half raw. The taste is rather flat, including the tuna sauce. Afterwards I had pasta with seafood. It worked like that, nothing great but quite OK. My wife had tagliate, the meat was on point and of high quality. The side dishes were bland and almost cold, and tasted like they had been served the day before. Overall, considering the rather high prices, the quality there is rather poor, we wouldn't go there again. By the way, prices in the restaurant are higher than on the homepage, not that much either. What's there for free is the smell from the kitchen on our clothes. Oh well.

Great, authentic Italian cuisine. not the run-of-the-mill menu that you find everywhere. But of course there are also the “classics”. The quality - including the meat - is top, the taste is great and the host family is also nice.

Wir waren zum zweiten Mal bei diesem Italiener. Die Scampi waren frisch zubereitet und sehr gut abgeschmeckt. Zu empfehlen sind auch die Pasta mit Steinpilzen und Trüffel. Die Pizzen sind sehr gut belegt. Die Bedienung ist freundlich und aufmerksam, so dass man auch ein zweites und drittes Getränk bekommt, ohne nach einem Kellner suchen zu müssen. Die Einrichtung ist gemütlich und liebevoll abgestimmt. Wir kommen gerne wieder. Reservierung ist auch in der Woche anzuraten.

There were two of us here and I have to say in advance that the “negative points” of my review are based on a high positive level. I also think it's a shame that you can't give half stars on Google. The preparation, presentation and taste of the food was very good and everything was to the point. If I mention Puglia in the name then I expect that more specialties of the region will be offered, such as Orecchiette. Service: Friendly and professional and attentive (speed of the food sequence) Top. 2 little things, next time I would like to be informed (like the table next door later) that there are also porcini mushrooms and what the fresh fish dishes are. Even if antipasti and the intermediate course are ordered to share again, we would also like to have extra plates so that we don't have to use the bread plates. Ambiance: typically high priced Italian. You should also think about how it will be received by guests who have reserved and are squeezed at the only table for two between two tables for four, where other guests had been given a table for four seconds before (other tables for four were also set for two). As I said, this is moaning at a high level.

Four of us were there last night and ordered different dishes. All the plates were empty because it tasted so incredibly good (homemade pasta, etc…). The service is also exceptionally good. A very nice atmosphere and very nice employees. Everything was perfect, fast service, no long waiting times. Very neat and clean. You can even have the rest packed up if you haven't managed to eat it all.

Paris in Castrop-Rauxel… ...at least in terms of prices. In fact, for the same pizza (salami, ham, mushrooms) in Paris (!!!) on the Avenue des Champs-Élysées (!!!!!) I paid €0.90 less than in this restaurant in Castrop-Rauxel, and the pizza was significantly bigger! (see my review of Cafe di Roma) Sorry, but €19 for a pizza is completely wrong! An Italian restaurant can certainly offer fine cuisine and charge a high price for it, but a pizza is and remains a pizza: dough, tomato sauce, toppings, cheese and costs around twelve euros maximum, at least in Castrop-Rauxel. We paid €75.50 for three pizzas, a coke, a water, a glass of open rosé, a large beer, a small beer. Inflation or not, that is clearly exaggerated. Of course you can find out about the prices before you go to a restaurant and admittedly we didn't do that here. But I just didn't expect that I would have to pay almost €20 for a pizza... because we're not in Paris. And in the end we stayed, even after reading the menu. Nevertheless, I would like to give the feedback here so that others might take a look at the menu beforehand and then decide. Aside from the outrageous prices, the pizza was good, but not the best I've ever had. What should be highlighted is the really, really nice atmosphere in the beer garden and the excellent service. Nevertheless: Although we would have liked to, we won't come a second time... because somehow you feel ripped off... without a view of the Arc de Triomphe.

We ate here with friends because of the many good reviews, but we weren't really impressed. The restaurant is comfortably furnished, but we found the prices too high for the food on offer. It was okay, but nothing special. Unfortunately that's not enough for 5 stars.

Six of us had dinner there yesterday. Everyone's opinion was that Puglia was top. The food, service and ambience are really good. The tables were well set, the service staff added the correct cutlery immediately after the order was placed, and they asked every now and then whether everything was OK. The wine was presented correctly etc. Kudos to all the staff, you are doing a very good job. Addendum We went to Puglia today for a birthday dinner with my parents. Everything was great again. The service, the food, the overall impression, everything was great. We would definitely like to come back.

Wir haben zu 5 sehr gut gegessen und hatten einen schönen, gemütlichen Abend im netten Biergarten. Die Speisen waren frisch zubereitet und gut. Der letzte Pfiff fehlte uns leider. Die Bedienung äußerst freundlich und kompetent. Allerdings fanden wir das Preis/Leistungsverhältnis nicht ganz angemessen. Eine Pizza für Durchschnittlich 17€ sowie Tiramisu für 10€ fanden wir schon teuer.

Four of us ate there on Saturday. It was our first visit to the restaurant. The ambience makes a good impression at first glance, but at second glance you can see that e.g. B. the decorations on the windowsill are extremely dusty. We sat right next to the window, so you had to look at it. The same applies to the wooden cladding of the heating system. For the price of the restaurant, the atmosphere could be cleaner. The windows at our table also couldn't be opened. The air was very warm, unpleasant and stuffy. You won't find air conditioning there and the weather was too bad for the beer garden. We weren't 100% convinced by the service either; the friendliness was simply lacking. The employee tried to be professional, but that was it. However, the food was really good, both in terms of taste and presentation. I don't think we will eat there again. There were too many criticisms that we didn't like. For this price, there are other Italian restaurants where the overall package is also right. We'd rather visit these.

We had a very nice evening in the Tratoria on Saturday. The food was excellent. Only as the evening progressed did it get very warm in the restaurant. I couldn't find out whether the restaurant can be air-conditioned.

I was invited there for a friend's birthday. We were in the beer garden. Basically very good, unfortunately fine (wood) dust was trickling down from above. The winemaker said that this was just nature. I moved around the table. The food came very quickly and it was delicious. The prices are the same as in other restaurants. When it comes to drinks, it takes a while and you may have to remind yourself again. All in all a lovely and successful evening.

Our waiter Arda (I have no idea if I spelled that correctly 😃) has learned his trade and embodies perfect service that is worthwhile for the trattoria and guests. The food was amazing and super tasty, but the service from this dedicated waiter surpassed everything. Hard to beat when it comes to service and customer awareness. For a long time I thought it would be his own shop. We were there with about 15 people and felt absolutely comfortable. thank you for the great evening

Spent a very tasty evening with a great ambience in the beer garden with very nice and competent service. All the ingredients are of very high quality and it was really tasty. June 2024: Great atmosphere, mixed starters very tasty, main courses as well. Delicious homemade noodles. Dessert is my highlight! Very friendly staff. Very quick preparation even though many tables were occupied. Clean sanitary facilities. Half a point deducted because it was quite expensive, especially the wine and starter. June 2022: Discovered by chance through a voucher booklet. Delicious. Very friendly staff. Starters, main courses, desserts and drinks top 👍. Salmon fillet awesome. Wines great. Hardly any waiting time. Anti Pasti a bit expensive. Lovely again!

We loved the website and, as fans of Italy (Puglia), we went to Trattoria Puglia! Unfortunately we didn't get our money's worth so the food was way overpriced! The food is OK! But that was it! The wine list seems extensive but it isn't! Unfortunately, this restaurant has nothing to do with Puglia! We were just looking for a name that no one else had before! Charging €40 for a Tagliagta is already a number! Also the salumi platter for 2 pieces of cheese 2 slices of Copa, Motadella, and Salsiccia Calabrese €27.90?!?!? Hmmm well, my local, your local might justify it! However, why you can't exchange the side dish and the wine list doesn't say whether the wine is dry or semi-dry, which is then sold for €40 for a purchase of €5.50, is questionable! You pour into a half-full glass…..! Well overall we were very disappointed! A medium to moderate quality on a plastic tablecloth and garden chairs plastic rattan! There were strangers next to us even though there was enough space! Stupid for the operators that we were critics! We give it a nice 2 stars!!!!

An upscale restaurant but very 😋 tasty

The atmosphere outside is really great. The service was also very nice. My dish was okay but overpriced in terms of price. Unfortunately, the consistency of the pasta was not what I would expect from an Italian restaurant and was pre-cooked like the day before. I have to admit that I have eaten my dish cheaper and much better in other restaurants. It was okay but I wouldn't come back again because I know better restaurants. What annoys me now is that the card reader malfunctioned and I was asked to pay again. Lo and behold, now I have a surprise and it was debited twice. Now I can contact the bank and request a refund. Annoying. Hence star deduction. Edit: Since my bank wanted to clarify the matter with the restaurant personally, I wrote an email because the restaurant was closed for a few days. The answer is more than cheeky, although I wrote a fair review and also described positive things. During the phone call I was only asked if I had already clarified this with the bank, and the clerk also said yes. So I said this on the phone and an offer of a refund as stated in the email would not be discussed. I really hope that the reversal will take place and everything will go smoothly. We definitely won't come back again, especially after this cheeky answer!!

Unsere Speisen waren alle perfekt zubereitet. Der Service war immer seeehr gut. Sehr gut finden wir, das sich die aktuelle Speisekarte ca.alle sechs Wochen ändert. Wenn man den sehr schönen Biergarten, Wetter mäßig auch noch nutzen ,kann ist der Besuch im Trattoria Puglia ein sehr schönes Erlebnis .

We eat out several times a week, but very few of them taste as good as here. By far our favorite Italian restaurant. By far the best pulp for me! A very lovingly decorated restaurant. Great food, very high quality and simply delicious. Service very accommodating. This will definitely be a regular place for us. However, the prices are quite high, but are okay for the quality and quantity.

A successful evening from start to finish. The food was a delight. The selected wines are fantastic. The atmosphere is super cozy. The service excellent. I haven't experienced such a cozy location in a long time. Before dinner, when the weather was finally nice, we were able to have our aperitif in the beer garden, which was not yet open and looked enchanted. We are already looking forward to summer. We'll stop by there often. The highlight was the Sardinian beer Inussa unfiltered, which we drank and loved on our trip to Sardinia. Probably the best Italian restaurant ever.
