We ate here with friends because of the many good reviews, but we weren't really impressed. The restaurant is comfortably furnished, but we found the prices too high for the food on offer. It was okay, but nothing special. Unfortunately that's not enough for 5 stars.

Six of us had dinner there yesterday. Everyone's opinion was that Puglia was top. The food, service and ambience are really good. The tables were well set, the service staff added the correct cutlery immediately after the order was placed, and they asked every now and then whether everything was OK. The wine was presented correctly etc. Kudos to all the staff, you are doing a very good job. Addendum We went to Puglia today for a birthday dinner with my parents. Everything was great again. The service, the food, the overall impression, everything was great. We would definitely like to come back.

Great, authentic Italian cuisine. not the run-of-the-mill menu that you find everywhere. But of course there are also the “classics”. The quality - including the meat - is top, the taste is great and the host family is also nice.

Four of us ate there on Saturday. It was our first visit to the restaurant. The ambience makes a good impression at first glance, but at second glance you can see that e.g. B. the decorations on the windowsill are extremely dusty. We sat right next to the window, so you had to look at it. The same applies to the wooden cladding of the heating system. For the price of the restaurant, the atmosphere could be cleaner. The windows at our table also couldn't be opened. The air was very warm, unpleasant and stuffy. You won't find air conditioning there and the weather was too bad for the beer garden. We weren't 100% convinced by the service either; the friendliness was simply lacking. The employee tried to be professional, but that was it. However, the food was really good, both in terms of taste and presentation. I don't think we will eat there again. There were too many criticisms that we didn't like. For this price, there are other Italian restaurants where the overall package is also right. We'd rather visit these.

We had a very nice evening in the Tratoria on Saturday. The food was excellent. Only as the evening progressed did it get very warm in the restaurant. I couldn't find out whether the restaurant can be air-conditioned.

I was invited there for a friend's birthday. We were in the beer garden. Basically very good, unfortunately fine (wood) dust was trickling down from above. The winemaker said that this was just nature. I moved around the table. The food came very quickly and it was delicious. The prices are the same as in other restaurants. When it comes to drinks, it takes a while and you may have to remind yourself again. All in all a lovely and successful evening.

Food is really good and of good quality. Service definitely needs improvement in terms of friendliness, but professional. Nice atmosphere in the beer garden. Prices are suitable for Munich city center but not for Castrop Rauxel.

Our waiter Arda (I have no idea if I spelled that correctly 😃) has learned his trade and embodies perfect service that is worthwhile for the trattoria and guests. The food was amazing and super tasty, but the service from this dedicated waiter surpassed everything. Hard to beat when it comes to service and customer awareness. For a long time I thought it would be his own shop. We were there with about 15 people and felt absolutely comfortable. thank you for the great evening

Spent a very tasty evening with a great ambience in the beer garden with very nice and competent service. All the ingredients are of very high quality and it was really tasty. It's a shame that at some point you'll get full. Keep it up! I can only warmly recommend Trattoria Puglia and its great team!

June 2024: Great atmosphere, mixed starters very tasty, main courses as well. Delicious homemade noodles. Dessert is my highlight! Very friendly staff. Very quick preparation even though many tables were occupied. Clean sanitary facilities. Half a point deducted because it was quite expensive, especially the wine and starter. June 2022: Discovered by chance through a voucher booklet. Delicious. Very friendly staff. Starters, main courses, desserts and drinks top 👍. Salmon fillet awesome. Wines great. Hardly any waiting time. Anti Pasti a bit expensive. Lovely again!

We loved the website and, as fans of Italy (Puglia), we went to Trattoria Puglia! Unfortunately we didn't get our money's worth so the food was way overpriced! The food is OK! But that was it! The wine list seems extensive but it isn't! Unfortunately, this restaurant has nothing to do with Puglia! We were just looking for a name that no one else had before! Charging €40 for a Tagliagta is already a number! Also the salumi platter for 2 pieces of cheese 2 slices of Copa, Motadella, and Salsiccia Calabrese €27.90?!?!? Hmmm well, my local, your local might justify it! However, why you can't exchange the side dish and the wine list doesn't say whether the wine is dry or semi-dry, which is then sold for €40 for a purchase of €5.50, is questionable! You pour into a half-full glass…..! Well overall we were very disappointed! A medium to moderate quality on a plastic tablecloth and garden chairs plastic rattan! There were strangers next to us even though there was enough space! Stupid for the operators that we were critics! We give it a nice 2 stars!!!!

An upscale restaurant but very 😋 tasty

The atmosphere outside is really great. The service was also very nice. My dish was okay but overpriced in terms of price. Unfortunately, the consistency of the pasta was not what I would expect from an Italian restaurant and was pre-cooked like the day before. I have to admit that I have eaten my dish cheaper and much better in other restaurants. It was okay but I wouldn't come back again because I know better restaurants. What annoys me now is that the card reader malfunctioned and I was asked to pay again. Lo and behold, now I have a surprise and it was debited twice. Now I can contact the bank and request a refund. Annoying. Hence star deduction. Edit: Since my bank wanted to clarify the matter with the restaurant personally, I wrote an email because the restaurant was closed for a few days. The answer is more than cheeky, although I wrote a fair review and also described positive things. During the phone call I was only asked if I had already clarified this with the bank, and the clerk also said yes. So I said this on the phone and an offer of a refund as stated in the email would not be discussed. I really hope that the reversal will take place and everything will go smoothly. We definitely won't come back again, especially after this cheeky answer!!

Everything is right here! We were here for the second time today and are absolutely thrilled. The food - from starters to dessert - is absolutely great. We eat out several times a week, but very few of them taste as good as here. By far our favorite Italian restaurant. By far the best pulp for me! And I've already tried many :-) The service is also great. Everyone is super friendly. We will, or are now, regular customers!!!

A very lovingly decorated restaurant. Great food, very high quality and simply delicious. Service very accommodating. This will definitely be a regular place for us. However, the prices are quite high, but are okay for the quality and quantity.

Once again it was very good! From reservations to service and food, it's top notch. But it wasn't that well attended, it's probably due to the construction site in front of the door.

A successful evening from start to finish. The food was a delight. The selected wines are fantastic. The atmosphere is super cozy. The service excellent. I haven't experienced such a cozy location in a long time. Before dinner, when the weather was finally nice, we were able to have our aperitif in the beer garden, which was not yet open and looked enchanted. We are already looking forward to summer. We'll stop by there often. The highlight was the Sardinian beer Inussa unfiltered, which we drank and loved on our trip to Sardinia. Probably the best Italian restaurant ever. A dream of a restaurant in the heart of Castrop. We were there on the occasion of the menu carousel (4-course menu). The food was incredibly tasty, the service was simply great and the table was beautifully set. Only recommended!

Update March 20, 2024 The trattoria has just reinvented itself. Everything has become a little quieter and more “dignified”. The new “Fine Dining” concept is a success. The menu offered (3 to 5 courses) was extremely tasty yesterday. The service was fantastic as usual. Particularly worth mentioning: One of us four guests has a gluten intolerance. A single note during the ordering process was enough. The kitchen implemented this perfectly for this person. -------------------------------- Original review from January 2024: Exceptionally attentive, competent and friendly staff. That doesn't happen often anymore. Thank you very much for the service. Good cuisine, as expected. All very tasty. No long waiting times. The distance between the aisles depends on the wishes of the guests. Price structure slightly high but reasonable in every respect. Was a perfect evening. Gladly again.

Good food, good service with delicious variations

Everything went well that evening. We had the vegetarian and classic menu from the carousel menu. We'll definitely be back. However, we like to eat early ~5:30 p.m., after 7 p.m. the restaurant became full and therefore louder.

The food was very tasty, even though the pizza wasn't baked directly on the stone. Unfortunately we came across a very bad-tempered waiter. When we didn't immediately understand the 3-course menu and how the courses were composed, we didn't get friendly advice but rather training from a senior teacher. Unfortunately we didn't get a 3rd glass for the large bottle of water for 3 people, a 3rd plate for greetings from the kitchen and there was no cutlery for the third person. The greeting was also not served in the middle. I was given the dips and my partner was given the bread basket. In the end, the waiter was apparently so annoyed with us that he stopped serving us. In any case, the colleagues were nice and helpful. Despite everything, a good shop and the owner doesn't deserve a bad rating because the waiter didn't meet the requirements. Would love to come back

The wines were good and had quality. The only small point of criticism: the service was a bit inattentive towards the end. If you have the opportunity to dine outside, you can enjoy an absolutely cozy atmosphere in the rustic garden. We will then use the indoor area in the colder seasons. Nice staff and very appetizing dishes. One drawback is the composition of the pizzas, which you only have to order according to your own wishes. Depending on the toppings, a "normal" pizza can quickly cost 20 or more and therefore exceeds the price of a pizza at the golf club on Timmendorfer Strand, which I find to be definitely too expensive. Even though it tasted very good. You should perhaps rethink this system and include some “common” pizzas on the menu. Otherwise a top restaurant with a nice atmosphere. Addendum: There are now also some “common” pizzas on the menu. Thank you very much.

Speisen in Castrop-Rauxel: Gut - besser - Trattoria Puglia! 👍 Auf Einladung meiner Lebensgefährtin haben wir beide das 4 Gänge Überraschung-Menü (Kulinaris Card) mit einer Flasche Weißwein (Grauburgunder), vorab einem Prosecco , einem begleitenden Wasser und einem abschließenden Grappa bestellt. Meine anfängliche Skepsis in Bezug auf „Überraschung-Menü“ war sehr schnell überwunden, die Erwartung wurde mehr als übertroffen! Wir wurden sehr freundlich und professionell bedient, die einzelnen Speisen des 4 Gänge Überraschung-Menü waren toll angerichtet und haben hervorragend geschmeckt; kein Wunsch blieb unerfüllt. Wir haben einen wunderschönen Abend verbracht! Vielen Dank! Bis bald!

Waren mit unserem Sohn dort essen und waren rund um zufrieden. Besonders hervor heben kann man nichts da alles wirklich super war. Essen super lecker, keine lange Wartezeit, verdammt höflicher Service sowie Preis-Leistung klasse. Weiter so, wir kommen gerne wieder 😊

Das Essen ist toll aber leider auch nicht ganz billig. Ob Anspruch und Wirklichkeit hier 100% aufeinanderpassen - ich bin da zumindest ein bisschen hin- und hergerissen. Das Flair ist jedenfalls gefühlt sehr italienisch und passt vielleicht deshalb nur bedingt zu meinen deutschen Ideen von Gediegenheit. Partiell zielt es mir - wie kann man das sagen - etwas zu sehr auf "in-location". Andererseits ist es aber auch nicht so verkrampft schickimicki, dass es unangenehm wäre. Der Service ist nett und aufmerksam, der Chef macht nen umgänglichen Eindruck und die Weinkarte ist für mich als Laien durchaus beeindruckend. Für Geschäftsessen, zum Mädelsbeeindrucken oder auch für nen etwas gehobenen, netten Familienabend absolut geeignet. Im Sommer ist der Biergarten auch n echter Geheimtipp. Für die schnelle Pizza zwischendurch würde ich, u.a. angesichts der Preise allerdings eher abraten.

Ich hatte leider Fisch mit auf dem Teller der schon duftete und so schmeckte er auch der Rest war ok, und Bruschetta ohne Zwiebeln war nicht möglich?

War OK. Aber nicht so toll das ich öfter dorthin gehen würde. Hauptspeise ein bisschen lieblos.

Leider konnte dieses Restaurant aufgrund seines Services nicht überzeugen. Aufgrund von Erkrankung mussten wir kurzfristig die Personenzahl reduzieren, was zur Folge hatte, dass diese Tatsache als Argument dafür genutzt wurde, wieso es für das Restaurant in Ordnung sei, dass Essen erst falsch (kann passieren) und dann irgendwann, sehr spät, zu servieren. Wohlgemerkt handelte es sich um 4 Gerichte mit Fleisch (3 davon mit unterschiedlichen Garstufen aber immer das Gleiche) und einem Nudelgericht. Das Nudelgericht wäre zudem auch nur zu spät gekommen, da ich es ja nicht scharf wollte. (Was ich bei meiner Bestellung erst erfragt und dann folglich bestellt habe): Als wäre das eine Rechtfertigung warum das Gericht auch erst 15 Minuten nach Eintreffen der ersten beiden Gerichte gebracht wurde oder als hätte ich mit diese Information spontan einfallen lassen. Jedenfalls ist die verminderte Anzahl an Personenzahl für das Servicepersonal die Rechtfertigung für zu spät und falsch gebrachtes Essen. Frei nach dem Motto „was ihr könnt, dürfen wir auch“. Mit erkrankten Personen in ein volles Restaurant an Weihnachten zu kommen wäre bestimmt die bessere Alternative gewesen….Man gab uns die Möglichkeit zur Verbesserung die Geschehnisse zu erläutern. Leider vergeblich, da es sich bei dieser Konversation auch nur um Rechtfertigungsversuche handelte. Wie auch immer. Essen war ok, Service leider nicht gut.

Ich habe eine sehr leckere Pizza mit fluffigem Boden gegessen. Die Einrichtung gefiel mir sehr gut und das Personal war sehr zuvorkommend. Ich freue mich im Sommer schon auf den wunderschönen Biergarten.

Wir sind mit dem Gutscheinbuch dort gewesen. Durch dieses Buch entdeckt man echt tolle Restaurants. Es war rundum perfekt. Das Essen war sehr lecker, der Service aufmerksam und sehr freundlich und auch das Ambiente gefiel uns gut. Eine klare Empfehlung!!

Also mich konnte die Trattoria heute leider nicht überzeugen. Zunächst einmal das Positive: Service und Ambiente waren ordentlich und einladend. Das Essen war leider das Gegenteil. Die Wahl der Vorspeise fiel auf die Gambas. Mit 15,90€ sind die leider absolut überteuert. 7 Gambas in dünnem Öl, Aromen von Knoblauch und/oder Peperoni kommen fast gar nicht durch. Enttäuschung pur! Als Hauptspeise wählte ich die Saltimbocca. Hier überzeugt die Beilage, der (entscheidende) Rest leider nicht. Der Schinken existierte geschmacklich nicht. Salbei war allenfalls eine dezente Note im Hintergrund. Zusammenfassend muss ich leider sagen, habe ich diese Speisen, auf ähnlichem Preisniveau, bereits deutlich deutlich besser aufgetischt bekommen....

Wir waren gestern, So.,12.11.23 dort zum ersten Mal essen und waren begeistert! Vom Empfang, über das Servicepersonal, die dargebotenen Speisen -Saltimbocca alla Romana und das Wildschweinsugo mit Parpadelle ( Qualität sowohl Quantität= top und das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis war auch angemessen), Wein...es war ein schöner Besuch, wir sind satt und glücklich und zufrieden nach Hause gerollt ;-) Wir kommen definitiv wieder und können die Trattoria Puglia nur empfehlen. Danke auch, daß ihr am Schlemmerblock teilgenommen habt, sonst hätten wir uns wahrscheinlich gar nicht kennen gelernt ( wir sind aus Gelsenkirchen). Wir freuen uns darauf, andere Köstlichkeiten bei euch zu probieren. Arrivederci sagen N+N.

Junges und gut ausgebildetes Personal, immer höflich und aufmerksam. Die Speisen sind frisch, die Karte abwechslungsreich, nicht das 08/15 Italiener Angebot. Die Muscheln sind besonders zu empfehlen. Umfangreiche Weinkarte mit außergewöhnlichen italienischen Weinen. Ambiente zum wohlfühlen... mittelmäßige Restaurants gibt es genug... das hier ist die Reise nach Castrop-Rauxel wert!

Das Essen hat immer eine sehr gute Qualität. Wir waren schon des Öfteren zu Gast und werden auch weiter das Restaurant besuchen. Es ist absolut weiter zu empfehlen. Die selbst gemachten Nudeln sind einfach hervorragend. Das Servicepersonal ist immer freundlich und aufmerksam, aber nicht aufdringlich.

Wir waren gestern zu viert dort und hatten als Vorspeise 2x die Kürbissuppe, 1x Bruscetta und 1x Vitello Tonato. Alle Vorspeisen wurden zügig serviert und waren sehr lecker. Als Hauptgang hatten wir unterschiedliche Gerichte wie ein Rumpsteak, Rindfleisch oder Kalbsschnitzel. Da wir erst aus Venedig zurück kamen, haben wir einen entsprechenden Vergleich. Alle Gerichte waren super lecker und wurden mit frischen Zutaten zubereitet. Die Bedienung war aufmerksam und höfflich. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder!

Wir waren gestern zu dritt dort. Parkplatz direkt bekommen, es war aber auch erst 12:30 Uhr. Freundliche Begrüßung und zum reservierten Tisch geleitet. Alle Speisen waren sehr ansehnlich angerichtet, heiß, lecker. Wir haben leider Kritiken: wenn man die Tür zu den Toiletten öffnet, kommt direkt eine Stufe. Es ist zwar ein kleines Schild mit "Vorsicht Stufe" angebracht. Aber, es ist nicht auffällig genug. Nicht nur meine Schwester ist gestürtzt, sondern noch 2 weitere. Die Gäste haben wohl aus Peinlichkeit nichts gesagt. 2. Kritikpunkt ist, wir wurden in einer Runde mit den Getränken vergessen. 3. Punkt: es passiert beim Kochen nun mal, daß man sich bekleckert oder auch mal die Hände an der Kleidung abputzt, aber wenn mit schmutziger Kochjacke das Essen serviert , fragt man sich wie es in der Küche aussieht. 4. Punkt: wir konnten uns nicht zwischen den Nachtischen entscheiden. Wir fragten nach, ob wir einen Teller mit gemischten Speisen haben könnten, also quasi von jedem etwas. In unserem Stammlokal wird es auch gemacht. Nun ja, hier war es so, daß zwar verschiedene Speisen auf einem Teller angerichtet waren, aber jedesmal die volle Portion. Und das war ja eigentlich nicht gewollt. Aber, alles in allem fand ich es gut und wir werden mit Sicherheit wieder reservieren

Das Essen ist sehr gut und das Personal freundlich und entgegenkommend. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder.
