Update: For over 10 years, we were regulars here, eating Pizza Bello & Bello several times a month! A few weeks ago, I ordered by phone and liked the new atmosphere; the new owner was very friendly. However, the pizza was in a completely different league and had nothing to do with the perfect pizza we had before. I wouldn't mind paying a few euros more, but the taste has to be like it used to be. Since then, we haven't been back even once, and many in the neighborhood feel the same way, as the reviews show. I simply can't understand why they changed the pizza recipe; it's a huge mistake in my opinion, and a real shame. I would buy the old ingredients again and make the pizza the way it used to be—then the whole package would be unbeatable in Schwabing! Previous review: The pizzas are very good and the prices are very fair. Add to that the family atmosphere—it's an Italian institution in Schwabing.

Bello & Bello is simply fantastic! The pizzas are incredibly delicious and always freshly prepared. The team is super friendly and the service is very welcoming – you immediately feel at home. Highly recommended for all pizza lovers!

Finally, a breath of fresh air with delicious cuisine! The character has been preserved, but the kitchen is now spotless and clean, the service is super friendly, and the wine is excellent. There are always surprises on the menu: goulash with homemade mashed potatoes or Kaiserschmarrn (sweet pancakes) during meadow season. The desserts are a bit more expensive, but the tiramisu certainly deserves its name. The new owners are giving it their all.

I had the opportunity to try a seafood dish that impressed me with its freshness and balanced flavors. The shrimp were perfectly cooked—tender, juicy, and lightly seared, with a subtle hint of garlic and fresh parsley. The texture blended beautifully with the pieces of octopus, which added extra spice and flavor. The grilled vegetables and side dish (zucchini, mushrooms, tomatoes, and au gratin potatoes) were also very well prepared and retained their natural flavor. The fresh lemon added a subtle acidity that rounded out the dish beautifully. The presentation on the plate was elegant and appetizing, with great attention to detail, demonstrating the chef's meticulous attention to detail.

Very nice ambiance, excellent food, and very polite and attentive waiters who know when you want to order. Update: Since the reopening, prices have unfortunately become a bit more expensive, and the wine is no longer available in carafes, only by the glass.

We've been to Da Bello E Bello a few times now and have been impressed every time. The atmosphere is totally relaxed; you immediately feel at home. The staff is super friendly, attentive, but never intrusive – you can just tell that they put their heart and soul into their work. The food? Really, really good. For me, the pizza is one of the best in Munich – thin, crispy crust, fresh ingredients, cooked to perfection. The pasta is also great – homemade and truly flavorful. My favorite so far: the Tagliatelle all Emiliana – a dream! What I particularly like: It's authentic Italian without being cheesy. You can tell that quality and hospitality are a top priority here. In conclusion: If you like good Italian food and value a family atmosphere, you should definitely stop by here. We'll definitely be back!

We were regulars for a long time, but after the change of ownership, we won't be returning. The new "upscale" concept seems half-baked – dirty tablecloths and significantly worse service spoil the experience. Food is okay, but not what it used to be – and significantly more expensive. Incorrect menu, incorrect orders, and finally, an inappropriate comment from the waiter about the tip – unfortunately, an absolute low point.

Nothing to complain about. The staff and the landlady are just so nice. I recommend it wholeheartedly! This is our first time here and it certainly won't be the last. Absolutely worth the price and fair.

For years, I was a customer at what was once Munich's best pizzeria. Unfortunately, after the change of ownership, the pizza is nowhere near as good as it was before and is significantly more expensive. The price increase would be acceptable if the quality at least kept up. Furthermore, there are pick-up prices advertised online that, surprisingly and without notice, don't apply on weekends. Service was attentive, sometimes friendly, sometimes very unfriendly. The seating is very nicely arranged. We'll have to look for another regular pizzeria, though...

Some things have already gone up significantly... 2 margaritas with salad to go for €28 is too much for me... Too bad. I think some regular customers will be lost. But the previous owners were simply better.

Since the change of ownership, the pizza unfortunately tastes different. The ingredients are of lower quality.

After the change of ownership, we wanted to try our old regular restaurant. First, the positive: the pasta was very close to its previous quality. The pizza still needs to be tested. It's understandable that the prices have been adjusted. Now, unfortunately, comes the negative: Bello was always the neighborhood's living room with fast and friendly service and good food. Here, they're taking a new direction and suggesting fine dining (white tablecloths and gloves). What doesn't fit, however, is that the service was completely lacking: several mistakes, many apologies and references to colleagues' mistakes, and a stressed-out, overworked waiter (who I really felt sorry for). We'll now go somewhere else for lunch because you can't definitely manage the time when so much is going wrong. But the most difficult thing is the lack of communication with the guests. Example: The ATM doesn't work, then you walk away and don't say what's happening. Then the manager is supposed to come right away, but then things turn out differently. It's a shame, maybe we'll try it for pizza tonight.

Before the change of ownership, this place served very good pizza at a fair price. Unfortunately, the quality has declined significantly compared to its predecessor and is now average at best. However, the takeaway prices have increased significantly by up to 50% (e.g., Pizza Napoli from €9 to €13.50). Therefore, I can no longer recommend this pizza – a real shame!

We ordered and picked up several pizzas and pasta dishes. Unfortunately, the previous owner's lunch specials are no longer available. But a €13.50 pickup price for dry spaghetti Bolognese is pretty outrageous. The pizzas are also far below the previous owner's in terms of quality and taste, and some of the ordered and paid for ingredients were missing. We were regular customers at the previous owner, but with the current owner, with its poor value for money, this was probably our first and last order.

Unfortunately, after the change of ownership, it's no longer my favorite pizza spot. Some of my dishes were prepared incorrectly, and the flavor wasn't as good as it used to be. The service was very friendly, but they made several mistakes. The prices used to be particularly good there, but the new owners raised the prices, and the value for money is no longer as good for me.

Oh dear—the staff has changed, the prices have almost doubled, and my favorite waiters are all gone...

Update 5 years later: The owner recently changed, and we went there once and never again. The pizza had a dry crust, the pasta was underseasoned, and the Lambrusco was flat and had about an espresso cup's worth of cream of tartar in the half-liter. The staff lacks any charm, and you feel like you're intruding. The staff themselves don't seem to feel comfortable there. What a shame! :-( ... Very tasty food, fair prices, and a nice atmosphere! Will probably be our regular Italian restaurant 😊

I can still understand that the prices have now been raised, but at the same time the pizzas have become a third smaller, which is really audacious. In addition, there are savings on toppings, and the pizzas I picked up were charred the last three times. Conclusion: Arrivederci Bello & Bello!

I have ordered and picked up my food several times, sometimes there was plastic in my food and other times there was a dead fly and hair. The service isn't nice either. You come in and have the feeling that no one wants to see you. I find it really embarrassing that you can't even pull yourself together. Pasta is simply warmed up and tastes soggy but of course that's the case because half a portion only costs €5, what else would you expect for €5. I definitely won't eat here again, it's really disgusting
